It's your favorite show'sfavorite show.
Get a Bucket.
I'm your host, trey, and asusual, I hope you're all having
a wonderful, wonderful day.
Today we got to talk about myNBA Finals expectations.
But before I do that, pleasemake sure to hit that like and
subscribe button.
Comment.
Tell anyone who's anyone aboutthe show trying to get the
ratings up a little bit, youknow, just a little bit.
Like I said, good one, and mytalking points just like to note
.
(00:26):
This is my final, final initialexpectations list, and that's
right.
We're going to go over whatwe're going with on this one,
right, I'm also going to talkabout the meanings of the team
winning okay, both teams.
And then, finally, my finalsgame breakdown wishlist.
Fingers crossed, ladies andgentlemen, fingers, fingers
crossed, but let's go ahead andtalk about the NBA playoffs,
(00:49):
because we are here.
We got the Pacers, we got OKCThunder.
It's a good time.
I told y'all earlier I lean OKC.
I do lean OKC.
Um, a couple storylines for the,for the, for the finals, right.
Um, arguably have the topbasketball state, indiana top
basketball state.
That that's what people tryingto say.
And then we got the nba's topatmosphere.
(01:13):
And when I hear the okc thunderfan base, specifically in the
arena.
It's a college like atmosphere, like, imagine, duke, blue
devils, but for the NBA that'swhat they're trying to paint the
picture as.
And then again, mr Basketball, state of Indiana, that's what
we're talking about.
I've seen people talk about howthe Pacers, how Indiana they
(01:38):
ain't really got much going onin the environment, but they're
in the NBA Finals.
That's all that matters rightnow.
So again, okc as an NBAchampion, Pacers as an NBA
champion.
Okc sounds a little moreappealing for some reason.
It really truly does.
I think it also creates formore future drama and
entertainment in the NBA.
(02:00):
But again, ladies and gentlemen,we got some drama to talk about
already, like how this, howthis finals is kind of sparked
by Paul George.
Let's talk about it becauseremember, we know Paul George,
how he was traded damn by thePacers after the injury to the
leg injury he had.
That was tough.
Remember the Pacers with PaulGeorge, they looked like they
(02:20):
could have dethroned LeBronJames and the Heetles.
So I'm just, you know, just putit in context, right?
But PG was brought in for asecond rounder.
That was used to bring inPascal Siakam and he was traded
to the Thunder, ironically.
Now, keep in mind too that PaulGeorge was also traded for Shea
(02:48):
Gildas Alexander To theClippers.
He went from OKC to theClippers and they had a gang of
draft picks that also brought inJalen Williams and other
players, and not just with PaulGeorge too.
But, ladies and gentlemen, wegot to throw into the mix that
because of these moves, thePacers did have DeMontis Sabonis
and Victor Oladipo from OKC.
(03:12):
Guess what?
They ended up trading Sabonisto the Kings for Tyrese
Halliburton Like there's a bunchof stuff mixed between these
two teams.
Hell, even Nembhard and BenShepard were flipped for Karis
LeVert by the Pacers recently.
So again, we do have some ties, some connection to the Pacers
(03:35):
and OKC, and it's not justbecause they reached the finals.
Again, ladies and gentlemen, shout out to Paul George for not
really making the finals.
Actually, now that I thinkabout it, damn, that's tough.
The teams that traded you awaymade the finals before you did.
That's not gonna end well.
It's not gonna end well.
But let's not do too much.
Paul george slander, ladies andgentlemen, because again I do
want to talk about these twoteams, okc and the pacers.
(03:58):
Now I'm talking about okc, right, we're talking about OKC, right
.
We're talking about talks of adynasty.
Ok, talks of a dynasty.
Will the Shea stans emerge andwhat will their appearance be
like?
You know, buddy, 1-0 in thefinals.
Are we five away from Joel?
You know what I'm saying.
He done, done about threeseasons, averaging 30.
(04:18):
We on our way.
I'm curious how the Shea stans, the SGA stands, are going to go
.
Also, the new OKC is greaterthan the old OKC Talks.
I'm not looking forward tohearing because I'm a Kevin
Durant fan.
All right, don't get me wrong.
This OKC is cool and in theory,it might even be better than
(04:39):
what the old OKC hadIndividually, though I don't
know about that.
That's tough.
That is tough.
James Harden, russell Westbrookand Kevin Durant were all MVPs.
J-dub, chet I don't know aboutyou, I don't know about y'all.
Let's see.
We also got to talk about OKC'sfuture.
Hey, they can't pay everybody.
Ladies and gentlemen, look atthis.
(05:00):
All right, look at this.
They got the MVP, they gotJ-Dub, they got Chet, they got
Caruso, they got Hartstein, theygot Lou Dort.
They got so many players who, especially if they win, their
value goes up Hell.
Teams are going to try to takethe OKC Thunders players away
from them just to be strategic.
So I'm curious how OKC's futuregoing, because they can't pay
(05:24):
everybody and they got tocontinue to draft well, and we
all human, we're going to messup at some point in time.
So I'm curious what OKC'sfuture going to look like.
And then finally, mark, markDagnall, the coach.
What's his coaching staff orstatus?
Well, staff too, because theyactually they not bad.
But Mark's status as a coach inthe NBAba we're going to have
(05:44):
to talk about that.
I remember when eric's fulcherwon the won the championship,
and people were talking aboutgive him time, give him a little
patience, all right, cool.
But now we review, we refer tohim as one of the best coaches
in the nba, right.
So I'm curious if thatnarrative will start to change
for mark.
But flip side to it, though, let's say they lose.
What happens to thosenarratives?
What happens to all thosestorylines?
Keep in mind too, james Harden, russell Westbrook, kevin Durant
(06:06):
they're still in the NBA thingslike that.
Mark, do you get fired aftermaking it to the finals?
We just saw people get firedafter making it to the
conference finals.
I'm just saying, hell, darvinHam made it kind of far and lost
and got fired the next year.
Just saying it's very possible.
So again, ok, yeah, they alllose.
(06:28):
I wonder if people will startslowing down those talks, but
definitely curious about that.
Now, ladies and gentlemen, thisis one I really want to know
about Because, again, like Isaid, we're talking about the
Pacers, we're talking about theThunder right for the finals,
and it ain't happened yet.
It has not happened yet.
But here's my thing.
Okay, we're talking about thePacers now, front runners, or
(06:51):
are they legitimate titlecontenders?
Well, this is a legitimatetitle run because, remember, we
do have a lot of injuries withthis Pacer squad.
Well, I'm sorry, not the Pacersquad who they played against,
like this is trash, but you gotto play against who you play
against.
Right Now, again, I've heardpeople talk about them being
front runners.
Hallie, specifically TyreseHalliburton has gotten a lot of
(07:13):
crap thrown at him this year, especially after the Olympics,
where he won't really play itlike that.
But now he ain't really playingwith y'all because his ass is
playing in the NBA final andhe's gotten further than a lot
of y'all who have y'all, a lotof players who you guys consider
NBA stars.
No shade.
Donovan Mitchell just saying no.
Shade.
Donovan Mitchell just saying no.
(07:33):
Shade.
Joel Embiid just saying soHalliburton vindication post the
offseason.
I think it's done.
My question now is where does herank in terms of the NBA guards
?
And then is he a one or twooption?
I said he's a second option.
He could be proving me wrong.
He's had a couple of good gamesTo be fair though it was the
Knicks, of good games.
(07:55):
To be fair though it was theKnicks Knicks be nicking.
But Halliburton is looking allright right now, point in time
before the finals are starting.
Now, siakam, pascal Siakam, yourchampion.
I expect a lot out of you fromthis finals.
What's your legacy going tolook like?
Ladies and gentlemen, if PascalSiakam wins another finals,
another championship, and let'ssay he becomes finals MVP too,
how does Siakam look?
(08:15):
We got some more, hey, we gotsome more years left for Siakam.
Just saying so, it might be alittle interesting how people
are viewing Pascal Siakam withthis point in time, and I
remember I said to him he hasthe most championship experience
right now in the NBA finals, atleast tied with Alex Caruso, I
guess.
But from roles he top dog rightnow in the NBA finals at least
tied with Alex Caruso, I guess, but from roles he top dog right
now.
(08:35):
Then, speaking of top dog, milesTurner, the Pacers center.
You've been doing a wonderfuljob, champ.
You have been.
You've been doing what theyneed you to do.
I would love to see youblocking the ball, rim
protecting just a little bitmore.
I know you're not always nearthe rim, still, I'd like to see
that up a little bit.
Not always near the rim Still,I'd like to see that up a little
bit.
But that's your best value tothe team, outside of spacing
being the third option.
They need you in that regard.
(08:57):
The other players I don't knowif they're really going to be
stopping Shea like that, but ifyou can provide a rim protection
, an enforcer, that would begreat.
So again, miles Turner, I'mlooking at the chain.
Also, rick Carlisle coachingstatus.
I talked about Mark for OKC.
Yeah, rick, I'm not going tosay you mid, but I've always
felt like you was mid, so proveme wrong, baby.
(09:19):
Now you got the time toshowcase.
This is your time.
This is your time.
Come on Easy.
And you got a squad on you.
We can't deny that.
No more.
We can talk about y'all playingagainst injury riddled teams.
(09:40):
All we want to.
Y'all got a squad on y'all.
Now and again, like I saidearlier, the basketball state of
Indiana Sounds good, right?
What happens if the Pacers win?
Does this impact the WNBA anyLike?
For those who believe in scriptwriting if the Pacers win, then
the Fever win, oh my gosh, script writing.
If the Pacers win, then theFever win, oh my gosh.
Indiana is about to go stupid, dumb, wild.
And then talk about the CaitlinClark stands, the Pacer fans,
the Fever fans.
(10:00):
Might be a frenzy in the NBAand WNBA.
You might get some more eyesbecause, hey, the men and
women's sister squad, brotherand sister squads won.
Kind of interesting.
That'd be a wonderful storyline.
And, like I said, does thisalso add any validation to the
in-season tournament?
I don't really care about thein-season tournament too much,
but guess what?
(10:20):
Pacers did get to the finalsnot too long ago in the
in-season tournament, and nowthey're here in the NBA finals.
So maybe, maybe there's somecorrelation to that.
But again, ladies and gentlemen, these are the storylines for
the OKC, I mean for the IndianaPacers and OKC Thunder.
Now again focusing on thefinals.
(10:45):
Right, because that's whatwe're talking about Pacers,
indiana Thunder, oklahoma City.
I don't know who I want to leanwith in terms of who going to
win.
I'm lying.
I said OKC, so let's go down togame predictions, right,
(11:07):
because I didn't do this beforewe close up shop.
Right, do this before we closeup shop.
Here's my wish list.
Ladies and gentlemen, here's mywish list.
Ok, game one Pacers.
Shout out Siakam, right, likethe Pacers taking game one.
Oh, I told you all, thunder isoverrated.
Oh, the West ain't that stackGot you?
Then game two Thunder win.
(11:29):
Shout out Shea Gildas, alexander, he gets a little
slack in game one.
It's okay, though, we cool, wegonna bust a ue and bust that
ass.
In game two.
Shout out shay.
Then game three, because now, like I said, series tie.
One, one right.
Thunder win.
Game three shout out j-dub andcaruso.
You know, I mean, they show upwhen they need to show up.
Game four three one.
(11:51):
No, I'm playing.
Pacers win.
They tied, tied a series 2-2.
They knew what time it was.
They knew what time it wasHallie had to show up.
Shout out to Hallie.
Then shout out Benny.
Shout out Benny Mather, youknow what I'm saying.
And then shout out my guy, miley Turner.
No, miley actually sounds quiteterrible, miles Turner, it is
those three show up for gamefour.
So now we tied 2-2, ladies andgentlemen, now we tied 2-2.
(12:12):
Game five this is the make orbreak one for me.
This is the make or break onefor me.
All right Pacers shout outSiakam, because he know we need
to get this, we have to get this.
We can close at our home.
We can close at our home.
That's what he's saying.
So he had to show up.
Tip of the cap.
Seattle.
Game five OKC says not quiteyet, though.
(12:32):
We got to shout out Shea andChet.
Right Pacers, they missed thecloseout shot.
It was close.
It was close.
Okc just outpaced the Pacers.
You see what I'm saying.
Then, game seven I got questionmarks because it's a jump ball,
it's a tie game, it's a tieseries 3-3.
We go into game seven, ladiesand gentlemen, and everybody in
(12:53):
a mama might be able to go off,or nobody in a mama might be
able to go off.
That's the crazy thing about ityou never know what to expect
from a game seven.
So I got to, unfortunately, lean with the OKC Thunder,
because that's where I leaned,however, initially.
However, I will say this againthe Pacers can win, ladies and
gentlemen.
The Pacers can win.
It's just Thunder.
(13:14):
They do have an MVP who Iexpect to have.
Mvp performance in Shea Gildress, alexander J-Dub, jalen
Williams.
He's had a breakout season thusfar and he's emerged as a key
contributor First time all-starselection and all-NBA honors,
not to mention the boy got gooddefense.
Now he's only 6'5" and thatkeeps throwing me off.
I thought Buddy was like 6'8",but 6'5 is cool.
(13:35):
And then, like I said, chet, you can argue him as your second
or third option.
He's cool with me.
Seven-footer with some skill, add some bulk to them a little
bit, boom, you're in the thickof things.
But you're in the NBA finalsand you ain't got to do that
just yet.
So, like I said, the legacy ofthis Thunder squad it could be a
good one.
And then, when we talk aboutthe Pacers, again we're talking
(13:56):
about someone like TyreseHalliburton and his leadership,
because again, he's had to be aleader.
He's had to hold his head uphigh after not playing in the
Olympics and being embarrassed.
Right, that's a 360 turnaroundright there.
Well, 180, I'm sorry, not 360.
That's a 180 turnaround rightthere.
And again we can start talkingabout him being an MVP,
(14:17):
especially if he's viewed as theengine, the way Steve Nash was.
We also got to talk about thisPacer squad and why they're
viewed as an underdog.
How does this affect theirlegacy going forward?
How do either one of theseteams make people view NBA teams
going forward?
Is the dynamic duo over anddone?
I heard somebody talk aboutthat on my very show.
(14:38):
They wanted the Cavs to getthere.
Cavs fan.
They were biased, but they didtalk about the Thunder and they
do come off like a team, eventhough Shea Gildas Alexander is
perceived to be the leader.
So again, ladies and gentlemen, there's a bunch of storylines of
this Pacers and Thunder finalsmatchup and I'm definitely
(14:59):
looking forward to seeing how itall transpires.
But I'm also looking forward toseeing what you all thought
about the show, what you allthink about the finals, who you
all lean in with, who you allexpect to win and then the team
that you think is going to win.
Is there a world where theother team can win?
Let's be fair, let's be fair.
It's called space.
But, ladies and gentlemen, thatdoes about conclude the end of
(15:23):
the episode.
Like I said, nba finals It's'sa good time.
Y'all heard my expectations.
You heard my wish list for thegames.
If we could get a game seven,I'd be, I'd be happy.
I'm a little biased, you know.
I'm saying I like basketball,like she, a little more
basketball if possible.
But I could also see too, likea, not a sweep.
A sweep is tough like no game.
That's tough, bro, that's sotough if the thunder gets swept.
(15:47):
I always believe your stars getyou one and that means you ain't
got a star.
I don't, I don't know, like, Ican't say this was like I get.
Yeah, I can't, I am not.
And then same with the pacers.
Y'all can't get one game, can'tsay you can't say you're a star
.
See I, I can be looking at yourass too.
Boy, you can't get a game donefor real Like Ali.
(16:09):
You can't get a game for real.
All right, that's cool.
But like I said, ladies andgentlemen, finals is tuning in.
Hope y'all all tune in, butalso make sure you continue to
tune in, like, subscribe,comment.
So anyone, who's anyone aboutmy show?
My name is Trey.
I'm the host of Get a Bucket.
I hope you all are having agood one.
Make sure y'all tune in to theNBA and then let's give a little
(16:30):
plug to the WNBA as well.
But, like I said, that's all.
Take care.
