Speaker 1 (00:02):
What's up everybody?
It's your favorite show'sfavorite show.
Get a Bucket.
I'm your host, trent, as usual.
I hope you're all having awonderful, wonderful day.
Today we got to give a shout outto the UConn Huskies because
they won the Women's MarchMadness for 2025.
So, shout out to them.
They got a bucket right.
They did, didn't they?
But there were some other teamsthat did participate, that did

(00:24):
play right.
But there were some other teamsthat did participate, that did
play right.
We talked about, at least on thelast episode, and y'all didn't
listen.
Definitely go check them out,but I talked about all four
teams in the Final Four.
Right, I was right.
Uconn did face South Carolina.
They did end up winning.
So, again, women's MarchMadness.
It was a good one.
But I mean, what specificallydo I want to talk about?

(00:44):
Well, let's find out, but makesure you definitely hit that
like and subscribe button.
Please comment to anyone who'sanyone about the show.
Try and get the ratings up alittle bit, just a little bit.
But, ladies and gentlemen, whenwe're looking here at this game,
wow, keep in mind, ladies andgentlemen, all right, uconn.

(01:07):
I'm going full screen right nowjust because I want to focus
really on the game, more so thanmyself.
I may come back, but UConn wonthis game 82 to 59.
Keep in mind, I don't even careto show South Carolina's name
no more, because 82 to 59,ladies and gentlemen, that's a
pretty wide margin, right there.
Now let's break this down evenfurther.

(01:28):
South Carolina didn't win not aquarter Out of the four
quarters they played.
South Carolina the closest theycame was 20 to 17.
That was in the fourth quarter, ladies and gentlemen.
That's when you got the mostpride and you saying, hey, I
need to be able to get a bucket, and Connecticut still won.
That's kind of wild.

(01:53):
Like I'm y'all looking atUConn's bench right now.
Let's scroll over and see whatthey did, right, like, all right
, cool Couple, couple points, couple points.
Let's go to a starters, though, and, as you can see, the big
three for UConn.
They did their thing.
Now, with UConn in mind, ladiesand gentlemen, I do want to

(02:15):
note a couple points.
I do want to note a couplepoints For starters again.
As y'all can see, sarah Strong,az Fudd and Paige Beckers
really got a bucket out there.
They hooped and they have beenthe best big three in college
basketball.
We can talk about men and women, in fact, because these girls
have been hooping consistently.

(02:36):
Whether we talk about theseason, we talk about March
Madness, they've been getting abuck.
And in fact, paige Beckers willbe the number one draft pick
this year for the WNBA, and thenafter that AZ Fudd could turn
out to be the number one picknext year.
We'll see, I don't know, butthat could be a discussion point
.
But Sarah Strong, ladies andgentlemen, this one, it's right

(02:58):
here.
That's 24 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, two blocks or two
steals and three blocks.
Oh my gosh, that's ridiculous.
And keep in mind too, shedidn't go to the free throw line
, that much she didn't.
That's insane.
And this is against Dawn.

(03:21):
Staley's, south Carolina squad.
Y'all might be wondering whatSouth Carolina did.
Staley's, south Carolina squad.
Y'all might be wondering whatSouth Carolina did.
I'm going to show y'all rightfast.
It's okay.
It's okay.
Keep in mind, I ain't evengoing to do them like that.
I ain't going to do them likethat.
Y'all ain't going to see whodid what.
Just know, this is what y'alllooking at right now.
No-transcript assist.

(03:45):
We only got one person that hadhigher than one.
That's absurd, that's abysmal.
Then the points, ladies andgentlemen no starter I repeat,
no starter Got higher than 10points or hit 10 points.

(04:06):
That's absurd, that's insane.
The bench carried them.
Usually, when a bench teamcarries you, when a bench team
produces like this, ladies andgentlemen, you win the game.
And I don't think SouthCarolina's bench really did that
stellar.
They competed, it was out there, south Carolina's bench.

(04:28):
They definitely played well.
So you got to look at thestarters and say, whoa, it's bad
.
And, ladies and gentlemen, thisis a senior-led squad too.
This is not a good look whenwe're talking about WNBA draft
again.
Paige Beckers, senior number onepick on a bad, bad day, on a

(04:50):
bad game, this championship game, where all the a lot of the
eyes were on her to keep in mindshe just dropped 40 balls and
30 balls you know what I'msaying.
Like she's been hooping, she'sbeen getting a bucket.
She gave 17.
Like you know what I'm saying,17 points, that's way more than

(05:14):
what the other team gave.
Oh, and we can talk about theshot attempts too.
Yes, okay, cool, 14 shotattempts.
And then, over here, nobody got14 shots up.
That's a problem too, because ifwe do scroll over to these
names, you see someone like achloe kids or sonja fegan or

(05:34):
saniya fegan oh my gosh.
Brie hall, raven, johnson, heena, pow, pow.
Like y'all.
Don't get off well like thatfor real.
Malaysia fuwali did actually doher thing.
She started to play a littlewell towards the end, but again,
nobody else.
That's tough, and keep in mind, you're going to be hearing

(05:56):
these names in the WNBA draftcoming up too, ladies and
gentlemen.
So that's why it's reallyshocking to not see anything
Like the game again.
I don't know if y'all remember82 to 59.
No quarter was won by SouthCarolina.
You have to give your tip ofthe cap to UConn.
Gina Oriyama, your 12th title.

(06:18):
Paige Beckers, all the injuriesyou sustained, av Fudd as well.
Y'all got y'all.
First chip Sarah, strong, strong way to start off your
college campaign and people arenow projecting you to be the
number one pick whenever shedeclares for the draft, maybe in
a couple years from now.
It's a lot of talent and thisUConn team they might have a

(06:42):
strong legacy talked about whenit's all said and done.
So this UConn squad, Iappreciate one because they
helped win me some money, so Ialways appreciate that.
I definitely said on FanDuelthey were going to win and it
was May 28, 2024, when I madethat prediction.
Now I also did say UCLA wouldwin too.

(07:04):
I got to have a backup rightand we was close Like we
actually could have met in thechampionship game.
You know what I'm saying?
Kick my head back, relax, keepmy feet back, relax.
But they met in the final four, unfortunately.
But, ladies and gentlemen, ifyou did not watch March Madness,

(07:24):
you missed out on a good one.
This was a good year, ladiesand gentlemen, specifically for
the women's college basketballgame.
So I'm very happy to see thenumber one draft pick make it to
the championship game andactually win, because it doesn't
happen that often.
I'm sorry, I'm a Duke fan, I'mgetting a little emotional.

(07:48):
But, ladies and gentlemen, thatdoes conclude today's episode.
Like I said, I wanted to focuson the women's game because
these girls hoop, but I'mcurious what y'all thoughts are
about the, about the game.
Did you like it, did you not?
Were you disappointed in SouthCarolina?
Were you disappointed?
I mean, did you expect UConn toactually win?

(08:09):
And I'm curious too do youthink either team will win next
year?
Because, keep in mind, az Fuddwill be returning.
Sarah Strong, like I said, is afreshman.
South Carolina, yeah, they dohave a lot of seniors.
They can regroup.
Keep in mind, though, uclamight return, because they do
have Lauren Beth as well, sothere's a couple of teams out
there that might shake up a fewthings, but I'm curious what

(08:32):
y'all are thinking.
I'll talk about my predictionsnext time, ladies and gentlemen,
but for now, I hope you allenjoyed the show.
Please make sure to like, subscribe, comment, tell anyone
who's anyone about the show.
