When we heal ourselves we have the power to heal our community and others around us. Community healing is exactly what Spelman Alum Camesha Jones had in mind when creating Sista Afya, a mental wellness enterprise that provides low-cost mental wellness services for Black women in Chicago. Sista Afya has served over 700 young Black women through culturally-centered therapy and social wellness events that bridge community and healing. Sista Afya has been featured in Vogue, New York Magazine, Travel Noire, Women's Health and many other publications as a top resource supporting the Black community with mental wellness. By making mental wellness simple, accessible, affordable, and centered around Black women's experiences, more people will get what they need to have a full, whole life.
