Man we're all over the place on this one. What was meant to be the final episode of our three-part series as part of Chicago Zine Fest's official online programming, ended up being egg on our face. Cam interviews Chicago(ish)-based cartoonist Johnny Sampson who is in fact NOT tabling (oops). Thankfully we've been meaning to talk with Johnny anyway, so we make due with our mistake. And don't sweat, we'll be posting the final CZF interview next week to make up for it. In the meantime, enjoy Cam's talk with Johnny as they discuss his career, how he got started at MAD Magazine, his path from fine art to illustration to eventually making comics, and why skateboarding is sick.
