Andreas trinkt seinen Kaffee schwarz und weiß genau, wie man die Aromen aus dem schwarzen Gold herauslockt. Andreas Wessel-Ellermann hat 2006 zusammen mit Thimo Drews in einem alten Speichergebäude von 1888 die Speicherstadt Kaffeerösterei eröffnet. Das Kaffeegeschäft war für beide nicht neu. Andreas Vater führte z.B. eine Handelsfirma für Rohkaffee, Röstkaffee und Instant-Coffee. Gut 14 Jahre nach der Eröffnung hat sich am Kehrwieder 5 einiges getan. Waren sie Anfangs nur im Erdgeschoss vertreten, so haben sie mittlerweile mehrere Stockwerke des Speichergebäudes für ihre verschiedenen Produktionsschritte eingenommen. Im Mittelpunkt des Besucherraums steht heute die Röstanlage. Besucher des Cafés oder des Shops können hier also beim Rösten wortwörtlich über die Schulter schauen.
In der Folge erzählt Andreas, was ihm beim Thema Kaffee besonders wichtig ist. Er berichtet von seinen nachhaltigen Kaffeeprojekten, die aktuell unterstützt werden, und z.B. auch über seine bisherigen Erfahrungen mit Milch-Ersatzprodukten.
