I'm pretty freaking far from okay.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
Normally Nige is here, all right, let me take that back.
Sometimes Nige is here and he'll run these stories by me.
But since he's gone, I'm gonna put the boy to
work here. Chris Hammer's filling in for Nige, So I'm
gonna run these stories by you. You tell me if
you're all right with them, Let's do it. We're gonna
start with this super Bowl halftime performer Bad Bunny's stylist
(01:07):
confirms in an interview that the singer will quote not
play it safe at the Super Bowl. In an interview,
the style team of Bad Bunny say he plans to
wear a dress during his twenty twenty six Super Bowl
halftime show to honor Puerto Rican queer icons and generations
(01:27):
of drag resistance and cultural rebellion. The stylist goes on
to say that quote he loves controversy, he loves to
push envelopes. He's one hundred percent going to wear a dress.
Are you okay with this? Uh?
Speaker 2 (01:43):
No, I'm not okay with it. And I can tell
you what we will not be watching at the super
Bowl halftime show at my super Bowl party is the
halftime show. We're probably gonna go play some cards or
something like that. And I was never being on Bad
Bunny doing the halftime show in the first place.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Because you're in the age group where you should.
Speaker 2 (01:58):
Like this dude, right, And well, I hate when I
say that I'm not big on Bad Bunny doing halftime show.
It's just, oh, well, you're racist. You know he's from
the United States, right, he's from Puerto Rico. That's not
why I don't want them to do it. All his
songs are in Spanish, understand.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Where I wouldn't want Jimmy Kimmel to do the halftime show,
right either, And he was born in Las Vegas exactly.
Speaker 2 (02:15):
I just don't And I'm not a one. I'm not
a big rat person in general, which that's kind of
the music he does, and then double that down with
it's going to be all in spanis. It's just just
kind of a double negative for me right there. I
don't want to see that. And then now he's pushing
this political messages and all this stuff. No, no, I'm
not okay with this, and this might be it sounds
like it's to be one of the worst super Bowl halftime
shows I've seen in a while.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
We've been pretty lucky with the last couple of halftime performances.
Now they haven't been super Bowl. I'm talking about Thanksgiving halftime. Yeah,
we're listen, take their politics out of it. But Jack
White and Eminem put on a great NFL half.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
It was a great show right there. That might even
be better than the super Bowl halftime show, I would say.
Speaker 1 (02:55):
And then yesterday you had Snoop Dog's big Christmas Extravaganza,
which featured like gospel singers and Laney Wilson. She came
up there and it was like Christmas songs, but he
did them in a fun Snoop way. And then he
was also mixing in some of his classic like Ain't
Nothing but a g Thing? Type of stuff like those
(03:16):
are two pretty good halftime shows. I don't know if
Bad Bunny's got anything to offer us better than those.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
I really don't think he does. And you got to
look at the audience that watches like the super Bowl.
I mean, you know, you say, well, the halftime show
for everyone to watch there, But the people that are
watching the super Bowl don't want to be pushed a
political message, especially at the Super Bowl right there?
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Are you okay with this? The Notre Dame USC rivalry
in football coming to an end. The teams could not
come up with an agreement on extending the series for
the twenty twenty sixth season, meaning the games won't be
played until at least twenty thirty. That's the next round
of openings. Either team has one of the great rivalries
(03:59):
in foot ball, Notre Dame USC going away? Are you
alright with it?
Speaker 2 (04:03):
No? I'm not alright with this. I hate when rivalries
go away in college football. Like I see why it's happening,
because teams are just you know, especially you see what
the playoff committee does now if you just put a
schedule together to get you in there. But I'm not
alright with this, And everyone's blaming this on Notre Dame.
I put the blame on both sides because USC needs
to come to Notre Dame in November. I'm tired you
they never will though they don't want to smoke, they
(04:24):
don't want to come play into snow, but they need
to come to Notre Dame in November.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
And and you know what, the Big Ten needs to
schedule USC to play some of these coble.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Games Wisconsin or Minnesota, something like that exactly, you know.
And on Notre Dame side, like they should be playing
Michigan in USC in Miami like every year. These are
big time rivalry games that we well, we're not going
to see USC for a while, and we haven't seen
Michigan in a while either.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
Now let me say this without upsetting Rob Kendall and
the Notre Dame fans around here. Notre Dame needs this
game more than USC because you look at USC's schedule
for next year, they play Ohio State, Indiana and Oregon,
and depending on how Penn State is, that's another challenging game.
Notre Dame. Their big games next year are Miami. Okay,
(05:13):
then you're getting down to SMU and BYU.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
BYU is who I believe is gonna take a USC spot,
and that is in no means an upgrade from USC.
Right there.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
The rest of Notre Dame schedule next year, Purdue, Wisconsin, Rice,
Michigan State, Navy, North Carolina, and Boston College.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
But I mean to Notre Dames. To Notre Dame's credit. Here,
you see how the playoff committee looks at all these wins.
Speaker 1 (05:39):
So yeah, but you gotta have some good wins in there,
and you need it backloaded a little bit. That's what
kept Notre Dame out. All the good teams were loaded
at the front. They didn't have anybody to beat in
the back end, and they got screwed.
Speaker 2 (05:51):
And my ideal scenario, I would love Notre Dame to
be in the Big Ten because one they can play
good teams. Two, you get Notre Dame Michigan every year,
and the Big Ten can then force you to go
to Notre Dame in November.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
But why would Notre Dame want to join the conference
when they make all of the NBC money by themselves.
There's no revenue share. They don't have to share with Rutgers,
they don't have to share with Purdue. They make all
of the money.
Speaker 2 (06:15):
It comes down to do they want to make all
the money or do they want to increase odds to
win a national championship. That's your decision.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
