Speaker 1 (00:00):
We each watched Happy Gilmore two on net Netflix this
past weekend. Allison watched it as well, not together. It
would have been great if we would have watched it together. Yeah,
somehow Allison doesn't seem to feel that same amount of enthusiasm.
I don't believe. But what did you think?

Speaker 2 (00:18):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (00:19):
You know we first of all, you and I were
at Diamond's Direct at two different times. My wife unfortunately
lost her wedding ring and we went to replace it.
Chris took great care of us, and we were kind
of a bittersweet thing, like it's our wedding ring, and
so we wanted to go home and watch something funny.
Turned on Happy Gilmore too, and she got a great

(00:40):
She got a great, great new wedding ring. By the way,
it held our attention for about an hour forty five minutes,
and then she was like, I'm going upstairs to watch
my she calls them her horror shows.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Horror.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Yeah, all those realities did, all the spicable reality, oh,
the real housewives and all the reality all those.

Speaker 1 (01:05):
The skanks that are selling real estate.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
I got. I lost interest about halfway through, started scrolling through,
had some laughs, great cameos by the golfers, like you said,
like we talked about Scotti. Scheffler was the star in that,
but I didn't. I don't even remember the ending, right
and I spoil anything. No, I don't want to spoil anything.

(01:27):
I hadn't been drinking or anything. I just truly don't
remember the ending. I just lost interest. First half was great. Yes,
I'm with You was funny.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
I'm with you. The first half the story You're like, oh,
this is great. Now you are watching for all of
the cameos like that keeps your attention to But the
last half was kind of dumb.

Speaker 3 (01:49):
They were taking shot at live golf. I think, and.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Look at the samlor movie. I didn't expect the God bothers.

Speaker 3 (01:55):
I understand, but it was happy Gilmore. The original was
much better Allison.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
I would say, I'm with you, guys. I had very
little expectations because I don't usually think sequels work out well.
But I thought it was. It was solid. It was
definitely funny at the beginning.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
There was a laugh out loud moments.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
There's a lot of lackout moments. They stayed true to
the character. I think there was like seventy some cameos
I saw right so there was, like you said, you
were always looking for somebody.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
Did a shirtless Travis Kelcey do anything for you? Allison?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
When is his shirt? Oh? Yes, I don't remember, so.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
That's a no okay. But there was one of our
mutual friends who was a lovely young lady sent us
a message on our Instagram said, my favorite part shirtless
Travis Kelcey.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Oh yeah, yeah, did something for me.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
Overall though, being on Netflix, I would say give it
a watch.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Well, I mean the feedback that we got was probably
seventy thirty, Like seventy percent said thumbs up. Yeah, thirty
percent said nad not for me.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
I think you and I were are in agreement. Yes, like,
first half fine, second half half.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
Worth a watch.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
You'll laugh a little bit.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
The nostalgia is cool, but it's certainly not as good
as the first one. But everybody's talking about it, right,
and what does that say about the movies that are
supposed to be in the box office in the field.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
It's a good point. Fantastic four Part four, Well I didn't.
I haven't seen the first one.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Right, nobody's talking about anything at the box office this weekend.
It's a Netflix sequel that's how bad Hollywood is. Like wow,
like Netflix is just dominating the water cooler talking if
you Murfs were in the.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Top five at the Hollywood box office this weekend, the
smurf Smurfs. But you're so right, everybody's talking about Happy
Gilmour too.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
When can we get an original idea? Like when is
there going to be a new action movie with a
new action hero, or like a wacky teen sex comedy
or some sort of slapstick you know, dude movie like
to Hangover or something.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
It's all school crap old like, when is there gonna
be another old.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
School right right? Everything now is just a reboot or
you know, a new franchise sequel. It all sucks, man.
I know I'm getting older, and I saw like old
guy yelling at the cloud. But they are really out
of ideas.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
So grade for Habby Gilmour, Habby Goimore two, Iby Gidmore too.
I'm sorry, see see, I'm gonna I'll give it a see.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
I am too.

Speaker 3 (04:33):
And I literally don't know what happened at the end.
I started scrolling through my phone and the kids and
the wife had went upstairs, and I gone up stairs,
and I just I just stopped paying.

Speaker 1 (04:43):
Attention, but give Scotty Scheffler an oska. Yes, Yes, it's
the Hammer and Nigel Show.
