the weeds with him because he's not a count, not
his team.
Speaker 6 (03:23):

Speaker 9 (03:25):

Chris is in a dark dungeon with no windows, and.
Speaker 7 (03:52):
I'm gonna tell it to Chris earlier. Is Chris, you're
slimming down, like you're slimming down a little bit.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
Is that is voluntary?
Speaker 9 (03:58):
He show walk faster. I've always walked fast. I cut
some stuff out of my diet.
Speaker 5 (04:05):
That's that game day gear, that walking fast. Cut stuff
out of your diet.
Speaker 9 (04:10):
Huh yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
So it's intentional, not stress related or no disease.
Speaker 10 (04:14):
I'm being like Jesse, there we go, there you go.
I'm trying fast and I can't say him fast anything, but.
Speaker 6 (04:20):
He's cutting stuff out.
Speaker 9 (04:21):
So yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, good good for you?
Like you have not had a soda?
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Oh that's good dude.
Speaker 7 (04:27):
If you just every other day now, yeah, started, I started,
like I got back on my training again.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
I was like that two days and being with the
trainer again is.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
Yeah, dude, if you just cut soda out.
Speaker 10 (04:39):
I haven't had a soda since before training camp.
Speaker 6 (04:42):
That's so good.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
That's so good for you fast. Like, do you do
diet soda at all?
Speaker 2 (04:46):
No?
Speaker 9 (04:47):
Do zero?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
Nothing soda good for you?
Speaker 11 (04:48):
No.
Speaker 9 (04:49):
I've been just water.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
And then if you put stuff in my water, if
you were a little bit thick, and there's nothing wrong
with being a little bit thick.
Speaker 7 (04:55):
But if you want to shout out to everybody down right,
shouts everybody down to the tps, your boy, salt, pepper, poppy,
I will mind a little thick now, bone, now, come
on out of the wrong being thick.
Speaker 10 (05:07):
But Shan and I go to the same doctor and
I did my physical not too long ago, and uh,
cut the sod out now. He was just like, yeah, yeah,
a little thick.
Speaker 9 (05:21):
Yeah, you need to work on that way, a little bit.
Speaker 6 (05:25):
Short. Yeah, you about three eighty babies. You know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
But he's a nice guy, isn't he. He's a great guy.
Speaker 9 (05:31):
Yeah, man, he tell it to you straight.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
He will.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
But if you're a little thick and you want to
get a little less thick and you drink soda, if
you just cut soda out, yep, you will.
Speaker 6 (05:41):
You will drop a lot.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
You'll get down close to your normal weight just cutting that.
Speaker 10 (05:45):
I dropped fifteen pounds because I can tell, I can
tell appreciate it.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Good for you, Chris, Good for you.
Speaker 5 (05:51):
What do y'all think about the what y'all think about
the dolphins uniforms?
Speaker 3 (05:56):
A little aggressive? Huh? The neon pat I like the helmets.
Speaker 6 (06:00):
I'm not a fan of dark uniforms. No, no, give me,
give me the traditional. No, already, give me the give
me the Michael Irving, give me the cocaine white.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
You like that.
Speaker 7 (06:10):
I like all white. I like all white uniforms. Anything
that's all white, clean, all white. Yeah, sign your boy,
j Holly up. So you know that's the thing around
the league right now?
Speaker 6 (06:18):
Right what so.
Speaker 10 (06:19):
Every year they're doing these new like like compete or it's.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
It's called the Alternate.
Speaker 10 (06:25):
Yeah, it's a new jersey like this year it's like
the car Cardinals just did it, or they did the
said yes, yeah, like the Sandstorm one.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
What are the Cowboy's gonna do you know Jerry's not
coming Okay, he's not coming off his Yes.
Speaker 10 (06:38):
No, we are due to do this in twenty twenty seven,
I think.
Speaker 6 (06:41):
Okay, actually, yeah, has to do it that Okay.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Do you know how big that's gonna be?
Speaker 6 (06:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (06:47):
So I don't know. I know some of the stuff
is gonna look like. But because I've been told a
couple of things, because it's.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Been years since they've even jacked with the unifor.
Speaker 12 (06:57):
I need to go back, yeah, go back, go back,
go back, to his era, the the Double Star, the
Royal Blue Double Star.
Speaker 5 (07:08):
Little Giants one the ones that had the seventy fifth
anniversary patch.
Speaker 3 (07:11):
That's the best looking you form of football that the
Chargers Powder Blues.
Speaker 10 (07:15):
Since we just played the Green Bay Packers this week,
if you like, I feel like helmets and uniforms.
Speaker 9 (07:20):
Go look at what they're gonna do.
Speaker 10 (07:21):
And I think it's like in the middle of November,
so in two months they they're switching up their helmet,
So their helmet's gonna look like the helmet back in
like the the.
Speaker 6 (07:31):
Leather helmets like the thirties.
Speaker 9 (07:33):
Yeah, yeah, it looks super dope. All right.
Speaker 3 (07:38):
I hear some phone calls back there, but yeah, before
we get to it. Oh wow, that's pretty cool, right,
that does look pretty cool.
Speaker 7 (07:45):
I didn't expect, you know, Romeo Romeo Dobs gonna look
crazy with that double whammy on his About that crazy,
the double whammy joint.
Speaker 3 (07:55):
He reminded me of the Uh Jay Rice, the guy
that they the guy they always showing the cowboys on
the Jumbo Try with the big fat head helmet.
Speaker 6 (08:07):
Yeah, down in the middle of Yeah.
Speaker 9 (08:10):
That's what forty nine is. Just well with them Jaganny
hillmets stumble.
Speaker 6 (08:15):
Feel used to what is it?
Speaker 3 (08:16):
Is it concussion?
Speaker 5 (08:18):
Yeah, that's so, that's the same helmet that you see
him sometimes in training camp that they were testing.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
They just put a cover on it.
Speaker 9 (08:26):
No, no, they don't know anymore. The first year they
wanted all lineman. I guess they were just testing it
the lineman the first year they brought it out.
Speaker 6 (08:34):
That's gotta be like what it's called an angel cap?
Angel cap?
Speaker 9 (08:38):
All I know is to make you play high. Yeah
you can't. You can't get down and get in.
Speaker 13 (08:45):
There stumbling around stone, I mean one cocaine reference and
all of a sudden everybody got to go to drugs.
Speaker 3 (08:54):
I remember Dalton Schultz telling me when he wore it
that it was like super heavy, like it's it was
like an adjustment for because it's an extra layer of padding.
Speaker 10 (09:04):
So I believe it's called Guardian angel.
Speaker 9 (09:10):
And helmets together as baseball team.
Speaker 5 (09:13):
All right, before we get the phone calls, did anybody
have two things on your Bingo card for Sunday night?
Speaker 3 (09:21):
A block kick? Two points on? Is that considered defense
or specialty? Is an extra point defense.
Speaker 9 (09:27):
Special team that goes straight to special team.
Speaker 5 (09:29):
Anybody have that on your bingo card? And did you
have a tie on your bingo card?
Speaker 3 (09:34):
Should there be ties in the NFL in the regular season?
Why do they have ties? Is it to save the
players from playing too long?
Speaker 7 (09:44):
According to Jerry as he spoke about it briefly a
little bit this morning, one of the reasons is because
of networks is time slots, time slots, so you have
to you have to eat up more of those time slots,
and so of course I'm assuming that's gonna cost you
more money and things like that.
Speaker 6 (10:00):
Nothing to do with health related moneying money.
Speaker 9 (10:03):
They said when they changed it, They said it a
few years ago. But you just want to make sure
the players don't pay eighty ninety one hundred plays.
Speaker 7 (10:12):
Jerry spoke about this morning. It's more to do with
the time slot that it was, because again, if if
it never ends, it never ends, right, they just keep scoring,
keep scoring. You got to keep keep that time slot
open to do it. So I don't know how all
the money part about it, but it boils down to
the dollars.
Speaker 9 (10:27):
Okay, that makes NBC say at this time your money
is cut off.
Speaker 5 (10:31):
Yeah, yeah, you're just giving away free commercial Yeah, it's yeah, I.
Speaker 13 (10:35):
Don't think if they did ot they'd have to go
to college drop.
Speaker 7 (10:38):
Where they Yeah, two point conversions.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
Of just playing quarters forever?
Speaker 7 (10:42):
Yeah, but even still, like how you know to how many?
You know how many you have to go? Two point conversions?
Speaker 6 (10:47):
But if you just have.
Speaker 5 (10:49):
As bad as this season has started off, right, what
if you get this thing together and you.
Speaker 6 (10:56):
Are right there at the Jerry Jones loves you and
you loves your type.
Speaker 7 (11:00):
He loves he loves But you know what, you know
why I have that.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
Because it's been so long since this team has been bad,
they've been right there on the edge, they've been good.
Speaker 6 (11:14):
Were you at you didn't not a part of this?
Speaker 9 (11:17):
No?
Speaker 3 (11:17):
I wasn't part of it. I blocked that out.
Speaker 6 (11:19):
I got you. No, I'm just.
Speaker 3 (11:27):
It's hope.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
But what if they're right there and you miss it
by this half game? How heartbreaking is that going to be?
Because you're not running away with his division, you're not
winning this division, but you you could be there at
the end.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
And if you missed this birectic by half a.
Speaker 9 (11:45):
Game, The thing is, where does I see why?
Speaker 6 (11:50):
Where does why? I see why?
Speaker 10 (11:52):
Kurt?
Speaker 9 (11:53):
But jes check this out? Where does the tie count
if you win nine games? Does that tie puts you
in the playoffs? Do you win ten games? Do that
tie bring you out? Where does a tie count for anything? Chris,
help me out? Is it about is about fague? Half games?
Speaker 10 (12:12):
So the bas you look at it. Yeah, so yeah,
it's half a game. So let's just say you could
get in or out. Vegas is not about that.
Speaker 9 (12:21):
Let's just take Vegas out of it.
Speaker 10 (12:22):
So, right you finish, We'll say Washington's at ten wins
and you're at ten wins. Okay, uh huh, you're half
a game ahead of them. Okay, because you have a tie, okay,
because they have more losses, you have a time.
Speaker 5 (12:34):
So it could be a loss, a great thing if
you get in. It could be a devastating thing if
you get out. So it's a half game, yeah, half okay,
Well okay, we gotta wait, let me ask you this
more weeks.
Speaker 9 (12:48):
So we three and a half, one two and one, okay,
one two and so right.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Now we're we won one and a half games.
Speaker 9 (12:57):
Yeah that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Oh yeah, we've lost two and a half and we will.
Speaker 9 (13:02):
But we really ain't lost coming. Remember when we when
we batter and lost to Philadelphia. That was kind of
a victory.
Speaker 6 (13:08):
That's the moral.
Speaker 9 (13:09):
So Shannon, commissioner, if your commissioner, what Nicks.
Speaker 11 (13:14):
Say, I.
Speaker 9 (13:16):
Make time?
Speaker 10 (13:18):
Yeah, well you say, Chris, if you're commissioner for the
day and you hate ties, you like ties?
Speaker 9 (13:23):
Yes or no?
Speaker 6 (13:23):
No?
Speaker 9 (13:24):
No? Okay, so all four of you probably hate ties, right,
that's right? All right?
Speaker 10 (13:28):
So if your commissioner for a day and they said, okay,
you need to change over time and there's no ties,
what would be your solution?
Speaker 9 (13:37):
And it has to go quick?
Speaker 10 (13:39):
I mean, like, we can't just play football for the
next three hours until someone scores.
Speaker 13 (13:43):
I would do the college.
Speaker 10 (13:44):
Wait, college does, so you're gonna take special teams out
of the whole, the whole mix.
Speaker 9 (13:48):
I would go, that's why they don't do. That's what
I would.
Speaker 6 (13:52):
I would go normal overtime rules.
Speaker 7 (13:54):
Right, everyone gets a possession, try to score a touchdown
or you know, if you go field goal, field goal,
and then if if were in regulation on there, I
would go to.
Speaker 6 (14:06):
Next man, next point wins, Like that's what we get
to like.
Speaker 9 (14:10):
So that's what they do basically, and that's what they do.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
And you know, I'm saying I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (14:14):
I'm saying, if we get to if we get to
the end of regulation and we have to go to
another whole time, yeah, I'll keep who gets.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Who gets the ball? You do another coin flip, You
do another coin flip. Yeah, okay, that's probably fair.
Speaker 6 (14:27):
You know what, from the forty, thank you from the forty.
Speaker 9 (14:31):
That's right.
Speaker 10 (14:32):
You should give them a ball from the forty going
in for twenty five forty Yeah, because forty well, I
would say fifty because right now, the way the kickers
are going, that's an easy three points right there.
Speaker 9 (14:43):
Right, Yeah, I mean it's a fifty seven yard right there.
Speaker 6 (14:46):
That's a fit that head.
Speaker 7 (14:48):
You know, the thirty five at this point over half
you get it at the midfield.
Speaker 9 (14:52):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (14:53):
Damn near kickers.
Speaker 7 (14:54):
They're doing that now, right they feel like or sixty
four is everybody like, I'll take it.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
Or you could say you do the coin flip and
then you start at your own twenty, And that way
it puts some strategy into it, because if your defense
is playing better, you may say, y'all take the ball
because you're gonna be on the twenty.
Speaker 3 (15:10):
We're gonna stop you and we're gonna have better positions.
Speaker 9 (15:14):
All of that is great. We're gonna put the foot
all of it. We all have a kicking contest. But
but NBC said, no matter what you do, toy got
to be over it.
Speaker 6 (15:23):
Pay us more money.
Speaker 10 (15:24):
See know, NBC is probably like doesn't really they're getting
good ratings at it is right, Like do you think
I think against Newie? Do you think Newie's new He's
newscast after the game is gonna get better ratings.
Speaker 5 (15:38):
Here's what you do. This is a win win for everybody.
If if a if a team goes to overtime, the
double overtime, the network goes onto regular programming, and the
overtime goes to the NFL network.
Speaker 3 (15:55):
That way, you have to subscribe to the NFL network.
Speaker 5 (15:57):
Payer everybody will. The NFL makes their money. Oh yeah
from ESPN No, no, no, goes to the NFL network.
NFL network makes the money.
Speaker 9 (16:07):
So somebody buying somebody.
Speaker 3 (16:09):
But yeah, then you can.
Speaker 5 (16:14):
Don't you know how pissed off they were when Direct
TV stopped carrying games or whatever.
Speaker 3 (16:19):
That was no difference, Like, sorry, go subscribe.
Speaker 7 (16:23):
Pick one fan from each team slugg Oklahoma, put them
in the ring.
Speaker 6 (16:27):

Speaker 9 (16:30):

know what.

get one bowl and one random person dropping me. I
like that thunderdome. The price is right.

big fan. I've been a fan since way back in
I see three Super Bowls in the nineties. I was
lucky enough to do that. So I'm so happy to
be able to say Hi Tonight Newton and about to
mention hurt get him out the way, Chris, Josh and
(20:06):
I can't remember the lady's name in the back, Soka Ah.
I hope everybody's doing well. I have a kind of
a loaded question. I need to know what you guys'
opinion is on a couple of people, and what we're
gonna do with one of our positions because we lost
Malie Koker? Are we just going to leave the guy
that we put out their bell out there? And uh,
(20:26):
the guy that took over for Jordan Lewis with its
opinions on him like so far this year honest opinion?
And then was it Sandborn? I don't like him at all.
He got to go, Uh, I say it, but that
guy can't play. He's got to go. Uh. But we
got to have a better linebacker somewhere, right, But I
want an honest assessment on Diggs's play this year.
Speaker 3 (20:49):
Defense.
Speaker 16 (20:51):
That's only a few in the secondary, it's not the
whole defense.
Speaker 3 (20:53):
I know that if you guys said, any opinion on
this guy, this guy, this guy.
Speaker 5 (20:58):
Which three guys, we don't have enough time.
Speaker 16 (21:00):
To go to a street guys, clown Borne.
Speaker 3 (21:06):
Even in the mix, clown we'll take.
Speaker 16 (21:09):
We'll take the guy that replaced some little talk because
he's not doing terrible.
Speaker 9 (21:12):
Ready Steward, if.
Speaker 16 (21:13):
You guys want to give an opinion on him, Yeah,
ready Steward.
Speaker 5 (21:15):
Okay, Clowney, Samborne, Ready Stewart All right, appreciate the call man,
thank you so much.
Speaker 9 (21:21):
Clown Clowney got in and hustled hard a few plays
that I saw him, So I think he'll build.
Speaker 13 (21:27):
What curious kind of out still on him.
Speaker 9 (21:29):
Yeah, but I'm saying, well, what we saw he was hustled.
Speaker 6 (21:32):
He hustled.
Speaker 9 (21:32):
He hustled. That's all you can give it. Now the
other guys. You know how I feel about the linebackers.
They can take the whole package. All love them and
just take them and ship them off somewhere else and
bring in another group until you start tackling better.
Speaker 5 (21:48):
If y'all didn't see, you're not watching the show to
the all all he wrapped him up, Yeah, picked him
up with the with the cream you just dropped.
Speaker 9 (21:58):
Man, you make it. I will hold coach Eba flues
because he brought Jack Samborne in here, so I will
hold him accountable for that guy. You know, but this
man is a better coach than what these guys are doing.
And and uh so, yeah, I will kick him in
the head on the sandborn.
Speaker 13 (22:16):
But come on, fellas, just because he knew the systems.
Speaker 7 (22:23):
And that's not that's not an exclusive Matt Ebraflus thing.
That is a National Football League NFL coaching thing. When
coaches go, especially coordinators offensively defensive coordinators, when they begin
to bounce to different teams, you can always see that
there's a guy or two from their old squad that
they bring on that just because they have somebody that
(22:45):
knows their system, that can plug and play in any
type of situation. Some of them become starters, some of
them are role players, but they always have that one
or two guys that are always being brought with them,
and it is a it has been going on since
football has been those guys.
Speaker 9 (23:01):
Yeah. With the Carolina Panthers, I was, but everybody knows
everybody either no way to line up at this one
of the season that they don't, so we Jack sorry, yeah.
Speaker 7 (23:13):
Jack saying Boran think about Jack, and boy, you know
I was. I was rooting for you, Jack.
Speaker 6 (23:17):
I was root for you.
Speaker 7 (23:18):
But the thing about me, well, i'll root for you
you do good, I will turn my back on you
when yeah, I gotta just say, man, it's it's not
that Jack is doing wrong. He knows where to be,
he just can't get there.
Speaker 9 (23:37):
And then when he does get there.
Speaker 7 (23:39):
He's like yeah, like it's not like he's like running
the wrong way. It's like, yeah, that's your gap, that's
your whole, that's your dude.
Speaker 9 (23:49):
Boy.
Speaker 7 (23:50):
You you got cement for feet, like you got to
cement blocks and you just pulling along what you're trying
to run and go get it so for me and
to pull that into this this week's game, I don't
think Justin Fields is a good quarterback as a thrower.
Speaker 6 (24:06):
That boy run. Yes, So if you ain't, if you
if you.
Speaker 7 (24:09):
Ain't what you're supposed to be or even when you're
supposed to be there, Jack, he's gonna run away from
He's gonna run away from Jack like ain't like he's
been standing still.
Speaker 13 (24:18):
You play a guy like.
Speaker 7 (24:20):
This is one of those games where I go, give
me live foul. Darmon Clark, Schamar.
Speaker 9 (24:26):
Moore, that's who I'm not putting in that group.
Speaker 6 (24:28):
And and Kenneth Murray.
Speaker 9 (24:30):
I ain't putting Clark in that group. Clark can tackle,
Clark is a good lineback. I'm not putting him in
that group. Something about this dude.
Speaker 7 (24:40):
Coaches don't like him. I don't know what it is
about something And it was the other one. So it's ready,
ready Stewart to asking him to do certain things in
his coverage there when you watch the Cowboys play coverage,
and this is where the communication gets blurry, is they're
asking him to do these different looks where all right,
(25:01):
they're going to a cover too, right, let's just say
they end up in a Cover two, but they want
to make it look like a Cover three, and they
want to have one guy way down in the box,
and then they want to invert at the snap, and
so like you'll see a lot of a lot of
the dump all passes to the flat. You'll see Ready
Stewart like coming in super late because they're trying to
have him play this kind of star position where he's
(25:22):
playing like in the box as a run defender, but
also playing the hook flat and the curl.
Speaker 11 (25:27):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (25:28):
So he's like trying to get way out there, but
he's coming from inside the box where he's been outflanked
by the by the running back on the tight end
and they thrown out to him. So they're asking him
to do a lot from that position. And then who's
the third one? It was one more was Clowney, he
was ready, and then it was Samborn.
Speaker 9 (25:45):
Oh yeah, he had digs, but he threw him out
for clowning.
Speaker 3 (25:49):
How do you think Diggs did this past game?
Speaker 6 (25:52):
I think this. I think he's checked out. Why did
he not start something?
Speaker 9 (25:58):
Yeah? That what he did game before.
Speaker 7 (26:00):
I think I think that's a message being sent from
from Shady. I think Digg has mentally. I'm not saying
that he's quit, so to speak, but I think that
his mind is.
Speaker 6 (26:14):
Elsewhere.
Speaker 13 (26:15):
Is that due to just trying to overcome these injuries
or is there the other stuff?
Speaker 6 (26:19):
So I think it's I think it's all of it.
Speaker 7 (26:22):
I think it's you know, people blaming him for some
of the stuff that's happening on his defense.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
I don't say it. Yes, I think.
Speaker 7 (26:33):
The way the kind of things went down in the
off season, I think he's stills carrying that.
Speaker 6 (26:39):
The defense isn't playing well and he's playing a.
Speaker 7 (26:42):
Little bit out of kind of out of his position
because he wants to be.
Speaker 9 (26:47):
More of a man corner and work for the FBI. Huh.
I worked for the FBI and Jesse has the tailshale sign.
I hope we can play poker because when you do this,
you really think.
Speaker 6 (26:59):
That was see that was that was you know what
that was?
Speaker 11 (27:02):
That was?
Speaker 7 (27:02):
Lord hold my tongue and don't let me say what
I shouldn't say, because then people might get offended by
the things that I say, thank you.
Speaker 6 (27:08):
Lord for and I move it on. That's me to
the Lord and asking him.
Speaker 13 (27:12):
Isn't his talents better than some of the other options
on the on the roster.
Speaker 7 (27:19):
Not when you not when you're not sold like not
when you can believe that you're sold out there to
go out there and play how we need you to play.
Speaker 6 (27:26):
Your talent may be better.
Speaker 7 (27:27):
But if you're not, if you're not willing to give
us what we need, then I got to go with
the guys who are willing to give us.
Speaker 13 (27:34):
Stewart got more snaps and he did.
Speaker 9 (27:37):
The thing about it. One of the things that they
cherish on this defense. He's not been a willing participant.
He's not a willing participant. I mean he had a
chance to come up on the running back Josh Jacobs,
when he had a chance, he had the perfect angle
to come kind of send my down hill and knocked
(28:00):
this dude at least made it from the five, you know,
made it. Do have not to score from the five,
but this dude almost took him into the end zone.
And that's just because you didn't want to bring that heat.
You know, that's young guys and youn't want to bring
that smoke.
Speaker 13 (28:13):
Yeah, but I mean some guys just aren't going to
do that but their coverage skills.
Speaker 9 (28:18):
But that's where you got to dominate.
Speaker 7 (28:20):
Then, is this defense requires like this. You have to
be in this particular defense because you're playing that cover three,
because you're playing these different things. That third is yours.
So we're funneling a certain way. You got to come up.
And that's when you heard you heard you heard coach
eber Flus and coach Shatty talk about the cup or
(28:42):
the cone. Is all right, I got one guy coming
from this way. You have to bring the other guy.
We formulate a cup, and now that runner is in
between that cup, we converge and make the tackle. If
my cup is only half full or half protected. This
defense requires your cornerback to tackle. It's the way that
the design that's old defense.
Speaker 9 (29:02):
When he came out of it a couple of times
they were trying to form that cup. You watched the
game and you saw Jacobs just either side of it.
And that's.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
And it's not just like we're talking about Trayvon, but it.
Speaker 9 (29:15):
Ain't just him. Yeah, it's it's a it's a it's.
Speaker 6 (29:19):
A bunch of them. But you only do so many subs.
You're gonna put so many dudes on the bench.
Speaker 3 (29:24):
All right, let's take our Let's take one more call
before we go to break. Who we got Chris, We.
Speaker 10 (29:27):
Got Antoine and Maryland And.
Speaker 17 (29:34):
Yeah, man, I ain't called in a minute, man, because
my my fiance she get off work at two thirty,
so she's gonna be blowing my phone up in a minute.
So I'm glad that I took my call when y'all did.
Speaker 11 (29:45):
First off, First off, shout out.
Speaker 17 (29:47):
To my man, jesse Man. I shout out to all y'all,
but shut out to jesse Man because you everywhere now
and now. I remember when you were going four foot long.
I was in college and I told in every episode,
you know what I mean. So I'm glad to see
where you're at now starting from there, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 6 (30:02):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 17 (30:03):
Yeah, yeah, man, already. So I do have one question.
I got two questions because I don't know if y'all
can answer one. I know, I know, I got y'all
got y'all got you. So the first question is I
think that, uh, his contract might be up or his
years might be running out. So do y'all think he's
playing well enough to get an extend? And whether he
(30:25):
asks for that, you know what I mean, whether he
get the hometown discount now because it's his third contract.
And my second question is the one I really want
to know is since somebody went to Green Bay, I
ain't heard or seen a podcast or nothing since. So
my question is, like, you know, when you went Dallas,
do they kind of push you to establish your brand
because it seemed like once they need the Cowboys, you
(30:47):
don't hear they don't care about their brand anymore. But
when they went the Cowboys, it's all about, Oh, I
got to take care of my brand. I got to
look out for my brand.
Speaker 11 (30:56):
Love y'all.
Speaker 17 (30:57):
Hopefully y'all here, I hear I got hit from it
again soon wing stop style what you're doing? I feel
some type of way y'all. Let a bench fan on
the show with all these Cowboys fans listening, that could
have won, that could have won that contest, y'all need
to start.
Speaker 11 (31:08):
What y'all doing?
Speaker 9 (31:09):
I'm gonna holler at y'all man, thank you such answa.
What was the first question I missed it?
Speaker 6 (31:16):
Yeah, the first question was no.
Speaker 7 (31:17):
The answer is no, Dak is not up for a
contracts at least two more years on this deal.
Speaker 9 (31:24):
I doubt they get old about one hundred mil.
Speaker 6 (31:27):
Yeah, I doubt.
Speaker 7 (31:27):
I doubt you see any hometown discounts coming Dak. I
just I just that ain't that ain't the way that
this thing works for the quarterback position, especially someone is
still playing at a high level. This is this is
Dak's in year ten, and of course we missed out
on him last year because of the injury. The year
before that, in twenty twenty three he was runner up
(31:49):
and uh any MVP vote Dak has He is playing
in such a way right now where everything has slowed
down for him. He sees when you get to year ten,
I've seen all the defenses, so I'm not I'm not
surprised by much. Sometimes he will take a gamble here
and there, but this is just a guy. This is
(32:11):
a veteran quarterback. You see him playing at the very
high level, and I think he and he and he
and coach Shottenheimer are in lockstep. You know what I
mean so he I think I think Dak has what
two more years I think left on his deal before.
Speaker 5 (32:27):
Chris, you just looked it up, he told me in
my ear, tell those numbers all right?
Speaker 10 (32:33):
Next year he Dak's on the books for his cap
had seventy four million and his dead cap is one
hundred and twenty nine million.
Speaker 6 (32:41):
He ain't going nowhere.
Speaker 9 (32:42):
He ain't going Yeah.
Speaker 10 (32:45):
His his contracts is through twenty twenty eight. Yeah, okay,
his potential out is in twenty twenty eight.
Speaker 9 (32:51):
Yeah, you got him on what I'm sorry, go ahead
on Christmas.
Speaker 10 (32:56):
Sorry, no, no, no, I'm just saying, how long you have
Dak twenty twenty eight?
Speaker 9 (32:59):
Okay? And to add on to what Jesse's saying, if
you can get him a couple of better blockers, it's
sure enough gonna get nice. Because you can't be on
twenty four seven alert in that pocket every game. I'm
just I'm being honest. You know I'm being honest. You
(33:20):
can't be on twenty It's gonna be some games where
our offensive line gonna truly have to make some plays
for this kid. If you go back and look at
this past film, I can give you at least fifteen
times where it was like, yeah, that's too close, man.
It was a lot of close fifteen I'm fifteen. I
(33:41):
mean a minimum of fifteen times. It's some other times
where if you wouldn't have been thrown off balance, he'd
have got hit bro, he'd have got Lamb blasteded. And
so come on, old line, Come on, old line, Come on,
old line.
Speaker 7 (33:56):
And then the second one was about Michaeh in the
podcast Attitude Reflects Leadership, like you come to Dallas. We've
talked about this for years upon years upon years upon years.
Your owner wants you to sell the brand. It's all
about the brand. That's why we got Netflix Specials, and
that's why we got this and that and the third
(34:17):
and we got this is all about the brand here.
It's fifty three brands here. It's always been that. It's
been that since Nate was playing. It's always going to
be about the brand. That's why it's never an issue here.
Because if you're Star here and your brand is being pushed,
Jerry's brand is being pushed, you don't go in there
(34:37):
just as Michaeh Parsons, Dak Prescott, Ceedee Lamb. You going
there as Star linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys, Michael Parsons,
a star quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys, Dak Prescott, star
receiver for the Dallas.
Speaker 6 (34:51):
It's all about this perfect example.
Speaker 5 (34:54):
Cooper Rush gets in the game the other day, perennial backup,
former Dallas. But they don't do that anywhere else. You
play for the Jaguars, they don't say former Jaguars. They
just say this is the backup quarterback for you know.
Speaker 7 (35:07):
So the brand is being the brand is everyone comes
here and understands that this is a place where you
can grow your brand and it's not frowned upon.
Speaker 9 (35:15):
And I would like to say, we're looking at one
of the guys, thank you, mister.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
Sitting here because of that style.
Speaker 9 (35:25):
I love it. That's why I'm sitting here, and that's
why a lot of us are sitting here. I don't.
We don't hate that Parsons had this show. Only thing
we say is a lot of times, just be weary
of what you say about your teammates. All right, what
you insinuate. Nobody care about you having a podcast. But
(35:47):
I like the Bill Belichick way. Talk about yourself and
what you can do now. But you think the coaches
can do because they always trying to put you in
a better position to win.
Speaker 5 (35:57):
All right, let's take our last break when we come back.
More phone calls on hanging with the boys, be I back.

Speaker 9 (38:59):
Yeah, I want to send a shout out man to
the guys and girls. There was about sixty people in
a group and we went down to the bottom floor
to field floor and I got off and this lady
was talking about it had a lot of green jerseys
in there to and I walked up and she was,
you know, telling him about the stadium, how it was building.
I said, hold on, hold on, man, hold on. We
gave y'all parsons, and y'all still made that windy game.
(39:21):
All the cowboy fans with a chair. I wanted him
and said, man, I don't care them about Green Bay.
So I walked off and I got about twenty feet
from hanging with the ball. I want to sit the
shout out to all those people that was there at
the stadium on that tour and say, hey, I love it, man,
I mean I love it.
Speaker 3 (39:38):
The Star, the Star.
Speaker 5 (39:42):
I'll tell you what, though, he looks good in a
packag's uniform, Michael, I'll tell you what, man.
Speaker 3 (39:48):
I think he looks good.
Speaker 5 (39:50):
Not that I wouldn't like to have him here, but
I think he just that old school green I like it.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
I likely it's ugly, but it looked.
Speaker 9 (39:58):
Good on him. It took everything head last week, SA say,
don't eat the cheese.
Speaker 3 (40:05):
Everything, don't eat the cheese. Mike coming, all right, let's
take uh. We got a couple more calls who we
got online?
Speaker 10 (40:13):
All right, we're gonna check this guy's mentals and dentals
real quick.
Speaker 9 (40:16):
We got our boy handed in.
Speaker 11 (40:18):
My what what what out? My dude?
Speaker 9 (40:23):
Y'all good?
Speaker 11 (40:24):
Good?
Speaker 9 (40:25):
Were good?
Speaker 3 (40:26):
Are you you good?
Speaker 11 (40:28):
I'm great man. I'm all, I'm home. That dude an't
had any thing yesterday. Man, come on, man, come on, man,
get some cowboys fans out there with some enthusiasm. Man,
I got the I got to get a new contests anyway,
I'm great, man. I'm gread call some people out last time,
and you know they somewhat responded. But this thing is about.
(40:49):
Let do the tire thing first. Y'all know I picked
a tie every year, so I didn't pick one with
y'all because we didn't take no calls to the Philly had.
I think I called in that the first time we
called since I called my last. So I did ten
six and one when I call on with Nick. So
the tie thing, I'm good. I'm good with that because
you can't look at the tires negative all the time.
It's like a bird in the hand. It's better than
(41:10):
two in the bush sometimes, and you have to take
that because if you do, you think with the positive
mindset of a tie taking the place of a loss,
that tie could get you in the playoffs. And I
think ten six and one gonna sneak us in over
somebody that's ten and seven. That's just my personal belief,
so I'll take that. It wasn't a loss. I'll take it. Now.
This thing is gonna come down to and it came
down to that game, to the Tell of Two Dacks,
(41:32):
like the book The Tell of Two Cities, the Tailor
two Dacks, the das Ka. That my guy, who I've
supported since he's been there with the Cowboys. He showed
out and I know he's got that in him, and
of course we ain't got no defense, so he's gonna
have to come consistently do that and bring other people
to the party, and they're gonna have to help this man.
You know what I'm saying. He's capable of doing that.
I just don't want the people to turn on him
(41:53):
when he's got to score thirty eight and he's done
it all game, and then he gets down there and
may formble of something God forbid or throw an interception,
and they turn on them, like most of them do anyway,
because they just don't like them. So I hope that
don't happen. So I hope the defense does step up,
which brings me to the second day. Y'all know I
gave that to y'all three years ago. Discipline, accountability, inconsistency.
And I told y'all, until we get that, Until we
(42:15):
get that that with the sea, we don't have it
on defense. Cats who want to do it. We're not
good enough to play. We're not good enough to play
the scheme. Apparently we're not learning, we're not comprehending, but
yet we still want to hit people five minutes after
the ball and grand faced man, Sam Williams and all that.
And you constantly been doing that since you've been there. Man,
(42:35):
we gotta stop that, man, and work on your craft
and get better and help this team get to where
they need to be. Man's that said. Man, let's hope
for this week. Positive energy. Man, We're gonna beat the
frights of the Jets in Carolina. Y'all see what Miami
needs and there, just stop their quarterback from running, man,
and we got it, all right.
Speaker 3 (42:52):
Glad you feel it better, Man, it's good to hear
for sure.
Speaker 8 (42:54):
It's from you.
Speaker 9 (42:55):
Man.
Speaker 3 (42:56):
All right, We have a.
Speaker 5 (42:57):
Special call in caller here at the end of the
show to close this out. And normally we don't let
this man on the show, but I got a text
during the middle of the show, and I thought it
was straight up sarcasm. And this this caller said, tell
Jesse to get off the air and get on the
sideline because he knows way too much about football. And
(43:17):
I said, is that sarcasm or you being for real?
And he said, no, for real. I'm calling in right now.
So welcome to the show.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Computer. Welcome to computer, What what up?
Speaker 5 (43:30):
Look off the band list for about three minutes to
see how you act and we'll see if you been.
Speaker 8 (43:37):
I was no, I was dead serious, but just just
you know way too much about football. You definitely need
to be on the side. And I do listen to
you on d L. This you the only reason why
I watch this show.
Speaker 6 (43:46):
Oh thank you, brother, I appreciate it. I have zero
desire to coach.
Speaker 8 (43:51):
Why, oh are you good at it? Because you know, well,
you need to be a co subbing or something, because
you know way too much. The way you be breaking
those defensive down and you be explaining stuff nobody else
really does that. Nate does a great job of that too,
but he gets he gets frustrated with the team.
Speaker 9 (44:08):
You're right, You're right, yes, sir, Ever since you telling
us Jo Jones what nothing Chris Jones, Ris Jones.
Speaker 8 (44:16):
Us, Well, well, but if you. But you see he
only plays when he wants to because he didn't show
up in that Super Bowl. He didn't play because he
wasn't motivated. Chris. Chris could be just like old Boy
from the Rams every day of the week if he
wants to, but some reason he just he doesn't do
it all the time.
Speaker 16 (44:36):
He just doesn't do it all the time.
Speaker 9 (44:37):
What's your thoughts on the coll about Jesse leading you
back on the show.
Speaker 8 (44:41):
Well, I'm actually I actually feel pretty good because I
think normally in the past we would have lost the
game like that. I think Shoty is trying to change
the culture and he's got a little something that you
can see. It's a difference. I think the only mistake
was made in this off season was that I think
Stephen wanted Eble Fruits and shot It probably want to
bring none on of those young guys like he got
(45:02):
on the offense. You see got the offensive advances even
fuse to just he's good, But I never liked that
Rob Mary Now the style of defense that Tony done.
The defense because you got to have those four ballers
up front. If you don't have those four balls on
that D line, that defense is not gonna it's not
gonna work. And he when he left Chicago, he was
hurt like Mike mcclockett was hurt when he left Green Bay.
(45:22):
When those coaches get hurt and they feelings get hurt
like that, it take him a while. And some of
them never make it back from being hurt and kick
to the curve like that. You know, they're always trying
to prove something. I think all of the players on
the defense, they're not playing as one. Everybody's chasing the
ghosts of y'all. They trying to be d on, they
trying to be nate. But the offensive players are not
chasing those ghosts. It's just those defensive players chasing those ghosts.
(45:45):
And Jessein you right about Treyvon. It's in his head,
you know, him and his brother. They let their social
media and all that other world mess with their head
too much. That's why they can't play like they like
they can, because they got too much of that stuff
that know us in their head. He just got to
get that noise out of his head and probably get
saved or something like that so he can get that
(46:05):
away from him.
Speaker 9 (46:06):
Thank God.
Speaker 8 (46:06):
I like that because if you ain't because if you
ain't got God. You can't. You can't block out that noise.
You know what I'm saying because the Delver, the Delver
was a master of confuson. He doesn't care if you're
playing football, if you're raving on stage, if you working
at Walmart, he gonna get it. He's gonna try to
mess you up.
Speaker 9 (46:23):
Yeah on computer, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (46:25):
We're out of time today. Oh yeah, welcome back to
the show.
Speaker 9 (46:29):
Thanks for saying.
Speaker 8 (46:30):
Listen, I listen every day, listen every day. I listened.
I listened. I listened every day. I've never I've never
stopped listening. Like I said, Jesse, I appreciate you man,
you're doing a great job. Saying you're doing a great job.
Kurt and Nat do you know we love you like
like he was second coming to Christ round here.
Speaker 6 (46:46):
So thank Cowboys, we go.
Speaker 8 (46:51):
We got him. We're gonna are we gonna be all right?
Speaker 3 (46:53):
A brother.
Speaker 7 (46:56):
One quick note in computer he reminded me of this
when he said this. Talked about the Tony Dungee.
Speaker 11 (47:01):
Uh.
Speaker 7 (47:01):
Tony Dungee was a caller in the pregame show leading
up to the last game, and they asked Tony Dungee
because when you talk about like the Tampa two and
that defense stuff like that, like Tony Dungeon's is one
of the forefathers of that defense. And they asked Tony
Dungee about the comment that Jerry Jones said about in
this defense, how you can manufacture pressure, and Tony Dungee laughed.
Speaker 6 (47:27):
Hysterically because you can't.
Speaker 7 (47:29):
He said, you can't, he said, he said, you know
what helped me run the Tampa two and run the
Cover two. He said, God's like Simeon Rice, god like
and sad gods like Brooks and Lynch. And he's not
naming off some other guys that he had on his team.
He goes, he said, you man, he and it wasn't
like a sarcastic ha ha ha ha. It was like
(47:50):
a belly laugh like it was. It was funny to
him for someone to even say that. And this is
Tony Dungee. We're talking about engineer, the the the whole thing.
Like he's He's like, and Tony Dungee belly laughed at
the fact that you could manufacture pressure in this defense.
Speaker 9 (48:10):
It's time is players, man, It's always gonna be players.
Ax Belichick, Tom Left girlfriend King speak.
Speaker 5 (48:21):
Speaking of players, stay tuned for the Players Lounge coming
up after US. Jesse, good seeing Nate, good seeing you.
Kirk got some love today on the show. Chris, thanks
for bringing some knowledge and Josh.
Speaker 3 (48:33):
Thanks for keeping him compant. We'll be back tomorrow, same time.
So what are we doing tomorrow?
Speaker 5 (48:36):
Cowboys Offense, Jets d Jets Defense On Hanging with the Boys.
Speaker 1 (48:42):
This has been a production of Dallascowboys dot Com and
the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
