this thing where they kind of like have these throwback
movies that they would just put back in theater for
a couple of days, and so it's been in theater Monday, Tuesday.

Speaker 9 (02:43):
Today's the last day.

Speaker 3 (02:44):

Speaker 6 (03:02):
And it's like because there is a scene in the
movie where they're in the movies and I like this movie.
Is I remember who as a kid. It's forty one
moves almost older than me. I'm forty one. The movies
forty years old, you know, but I remember the movie
as a kid, and to see it in the big
screen is like that's kind of cool, you know.

Speaker 8 (03:20):
Yeah, So good for you.

Speaker 9 (03:21):
I like this movie.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Yeah, So everybody be on the lookout. Jess's out in
the wild after dawn. About in a while, you get
some dessert and TP maybe I'm gonna bring.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
That cheesecake the cheesecake man, A couple of couple of
double them aftermarket donuts man.

Speaker 5 (03:38):
They're looking at the uh, looking at the Broncos locker
room on the NFL Network. Right now, Sean Payton talking
to a bunch of half naked men. I wonder what
he's talking about.

Speaker 9 (03:47):
Well, I don't want to know.

Speaker 8 (03:49):
Sound jealous. You sound jealous.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
You sound jealous.

Speaker 9 (03:54):
I don't want to know.

Speaker 5 (03:55):
Now, Nate, you've been very rarely do you watch film
the two days in a row. I think you've watched
film three days in a row this week? You got
the pad in here again. Is this the best team
the Cowboys that face so far?

Speaker 9 (04:09):
I think so, the most complete defense. I think all
I've watched is the front these Jesse was watching the
back earlier before. Yeah, you know, wow, wow, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
You know what I'm talking about.

Speaker 9 (04:27):
That's cold blooded. The only team that has been able
to run on these guys have been to Baltimore Colts.
They Rushmanscuman, everybody, the Kurt Bean, Kurt Bean coats. But yeah,

(04:48):
you're right, Innneapolis coach. They rushed for one hundred and
sixty seven yard one hundred and sixty five of that
was by Jonathan Taylor, and they still almost won this game.
Redone field goal gave the Colts to victory. They have
thirty four sacks. They play a base three, four defense,

(05:11):
three down linemen, four linebackers, and I promise you they
don't take a lot of their players off the field.
They have a great rotation. Nose tackle DJ Jones, right
defensive end, John Meyer, Franklin left defensive end, Zach Allen.
These guys number ninety nine, number ninety three is the

(05:37):
nose guard. Buckle up whoever the center is because number
ninety six I can't pronounce his last name, e y
im A. These two guys can play. They can flat
out play. They don't get the pub. These are the

(05:59):
guys that I talk about. They don't get no pub.
You're gonna hear about Nick Benito, You're gonna hear about
Jonathan Cooper, You're gonna hear about everything. But these two
guys they do the dirty, dirty work. They give up
ninety three ninety six yards a game rushing. They give

(06:20):
up ninety ninety something yards rushing about three point four
or five average. They do not let you run the football,
no matter who you are. Their job is to stop
the run. We have our hands full of gentlemen. We

(06:42):
have they will go to an even look when they
go to their dime packages advance. Joseph is their defensive
quarter coordinator. He does the hell of a job. Now
he will bring number nine the safety up, the guy,
that guy from San Francisco, Tallnado. How you've been not

(07:04):
to say yes?

Speaker 8 (07:04):
His last name is who Funga the first name that one, Yeah.

Speaker 9 (07:08):
Who fung up Who? He is a fungus because he
will come up in there. He will hit you. Uh
he's a decent cover guy, but he will hit you.
And all of their guys can tackle, but they don't.
They will run some stunts, they will run some games.
They will blitz every nine of them, but most of
their blitzes off with the linebackers. That everybody is a

(07:33):
pass rusher. They got two guys with three sacks, one
guy with six sacks, another guy with eight sacks. They
got a bunch of guys with two sacks. The only
team that they didn't get multiple sacks against was the Coats,
And like I said, they ran the ball for one
hundred and sixty seven yards. Daniel Jones did a hell

(07:54):
of a job of getting out of the way of
that rush, because they still knocked him off his spot
a lot. Jesse, I have nothing more to say, but
let me say this our right tackle and our left tackle.
You have to be on point this week. You have
to be on point this week. Whoever your center is,

(08:17):
You're not gonna always get some help. You are not
gonna get help at least sixty percent of the time
in pass rush situations because they will bring their inside
linebackers up and make those guards hesitate, and that little
spark plug ninety three will get up under you. So

(08:37):
these guys not gonna let you run ball. Against the Giants,
there were four I saw four bad blown mental plays
and it cost them touchdowns. But when the game got
into lurch and things got tight and they got that

(08:57):
little diggy whatever touchdown at the end, it was over
because Denver is not gonna stop playing hard and fast.
So they're gonna play hard and fast. Question for you.

Speaker 5 (09:11):
They're first in sacks with thirty four of the Rams
are right behind them in second with only Tright behind.

Speaker 10 (09:18):
Well, they're behind them. They only have twenty six. So
what makes Denver so good at rushing the passer because
they stopped the run.

Speaker 9 (09:28):
They make you feel like you cannot run. Now vance
Josephill hit you with different looks, hit with different angles
like number ninety nine can play anywhere. Zach Allen can
be over your guard, he can be over your tackle.
And number fifteen the Beanito kid is an pronounce right
Nick Benito. He's on both sides, he's playing. He can

(09:52):
hit you from different angles. And then all of a
sudden you'll see number number nine the fungus blowing up
in there.

Speaker 10 (09:59):
So so they make you one dimensional about taking away the.

Speaker 9 (10:02):
Race, Yes, sir, and for all of you fans, one day,
y'all gonna learn that asinine nine, ten, eleven, and twelve.
Nobody talking about all right, okay, what's wrong? Go ahead on, Jesse.

Speaker 10 (10:17):
You know what, you had a whole lot to say.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
After you said, that's all I got to say.

Speaker 9 (10:22):
Sorry, Jesse, Yeah, I'm sorry. Just go ahead on.

Speaker 8 (10:25):
I'll get it out of your system.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
I love it, I love it.

Speaker 9 (10:28):
I love with Nick, I love with naked on his rants.

Speaker 8 (10:30):
Well, it's common.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
Feel the passion.

Speaker 6 (10:34):
Man.

Speaker 5 (10:34):
You know it's a good defense when you you when
Nate's coming with both hands swinging, they will come the brilliant.

Speaker 8 (10:42):
No, absolutely, and he's up. He's not lying. He's not
lying at all.

Speaker 6 (10:47):
Like like when I turn on film at times, I
just kind of just like the first couple of plays,
maybe four, five sixth plays. I just I'm looking for
a feeling like I'm watching and I'm trying to I'm like, what, Jess,
what do you see when you see this? And the
first thing that jumped off the page to me was communication.

(11:11):
When you watch them on film, you see five six
seven guys, I mean they're talking.

Speaker 8 (11:17):
I mean like they're like they're over.

Speaker 6 (11:19):
Here, and they're over here, and they're hand signals and
like everybody's communicating. Everybody on that defense is communicating right now.
The other thing I saw I was like, they're relentless.
This is a relentless group. This group is a group
that will come after you. And as you can see

(11:39):
the last game, they don't care if they're down twenty points.

Speaker 8 (11:43):
They don't care. They're not they're not like.

Speaker 6 (11:45):
This is a group that you can tell takes pride
in their performances and they're like, whatever they do on
offense is what they do on offense. Here's what we
gotta do. Like, that's the kind of group you see
out there. They're not they're not looking for the offense
to bail them out or you know, of course, any
defense would like to have a lead that would like
to have some points score, but they're relentless.

Speaker 8 (12:08):
They are NonStop all day, all day.

Speaker 6 (12:14):
And you know, when Nate starts rattling off ninety nine,
ninety three, ninety eight, ninety seven, it's reminiscent of what
you saw in Carolina with those nineties numbers.

Speaker 9 (12:26):
Right.

Speaker 6 (12:26):
Those guys up front, they're they're looking to come and
to knock you on your tail up front, like they're
looking to reposition themselves, to reposition that offensive line, right,
and so that's what you have to deal with. Vance
Joseph is going to mix the coverages up. They do

(12:47):
a to like Nate was saying, they do a bunch
of different coverages. They're gonna play man and man. They're
gonna play man and man. They have one of the
best quarterbacks in the league and Patrister Tan So I
don't know. I don't know how they're going to position him.
I don't know if he's gonna follow CD or not
follow CD, or follow George and not follow George because

(13:08):
because sometimes you take your best corner and you go,
all right, we'll put him over here and then we'll
double the other guy, right. So I don't know how
they're going to do it. But you can for sure
bet you're gonna see a bunch of different coverages, man
and man being one of them. And they do a
lot of they do a lot of cut coverage when
you see so so like what ends up happening is

(13:30):
you'll see robber covers or cut coverage and stuff like
that is where routes will start. They'll have two single
high safeties back or they'll have one down one back,
and as the play develops and guy starts cutting across
the field, that safety will come down and cut that
route off. So anything that's coming across, he'll cut it off, right,
So they'll do that, Like I said, that's when they
call it cut coverage.

Speaker 9 (13:50):
They'll do that.

Speaker 6 (13:51):
There they're rolling those safeties. The communication is superb. Like
when you watch it, you just always see them talking
and they even had some mess ups in that game.
And I guess when you run that many variations of coverages,
you're gonna run into that. But it's not because of
lack of communication.

Speaker 8 (14:06):
I can tell you that.

Speaker 6 (14:07):
Yeah, I can tell you that. I can tell you
that this is not because of lock of communication. They're relentless,
they're physical, the fast and who Nate was talking about,
Hu Funga. You know, if you remember him, he was
in San Francisco. This was the Troy Polamalu understudy. So
he this is you know, he's one of the guys
who he gonna hit you. He gonna he gonna come

(14:29):
down and he gonna feel he's gonna fill whatever alley
he's supposed to be in, he'll be there and he's coming.
He's he's bringing the paths with them. But it's a
good defense man, it really is. And this is going
to be And one of the things that saved the
Giants a little bit was the athleticism of the young
kid Jackson dark Uh. His ability to get away from

(14:49):
some of that stuff and to move around in the
pocket is really what gave them a chance in a
lot of situations because they were bringing the heat.

Speaker 9 (14:58):
They were bringing.

Speaker 8 (14:59):
They were bringing the heat to the Giants up front.

Speaker 6 (15:02):
And so this is gonna be one of them games
where I believe for Dak and for Shoddy in this offense,
one continue with the quick throws right offensively, that's.

Speaker 7 (15:14):
Let the ball go.

Speaker 8 (15:15):
There's no need that we're not looking to do.

Speaker 9 (15:17):
Let the ball go.

Speaker 6 (15:19):
And this is gonna be one of them games where
that's not he's athletic enough, but you're gonna see where
the strength of decks legs, meaning the power of them
getting off tackles getting off you know, potential sacks will
come into play because they're bringing the house. They're bringing
the house every single down. When I say bringing the house,

(15:42):
should say the energy they're coming with. They're gonna blitch you.
But every single down, those guys up front are coming
out dude like night. Like you guys said earlier, thirty
four sacks lead the league in sacks. You got two
guys who combined have thirteen sacks, fourteen sacks. So that
just tells you right there, and and and and those
guys are up there. Who is it a Nick Benito.

Speaker 3 (16:06):
Burns.

Speaker 8 (16:06):
I believe Brian Burns from the Giants has nine.

Speaker 6 (16:08):
Another guy may have nine, and then it's Nick Benito
has eight, So he's he's up there in the in
the you know, in the conversation. And then you got
another guy who has six, so he ain't too far
behind it. You know, he's running mate. Uh, it's a
good defense. It's a Cooper donthan Cooper.

Speaker 11 (16:24):
Yes, Nate called him arrogant before the show, I thought
that was an interesting description.

Speaker 9 (16:29):
Number number ninety eight he plays I think on steal
over on that side he will look to crank it up,
which if you want to crank it up, yeah, he'll
crank it up. In the number ninety number ninety three.
That when you say little, does that just mean six
foot about three? Look him up for me, Kurt, he's

(16:52):
six he's six six foot DJ.

Speaker 11 (16:55):
Jones, Yeah, he's six foot three five three oh five.

Speaker 9 (16:58):
That ain't little. And but you know, I'm telling you
he would get up under the center man and he
would jack with him. And you see how Hoffman like
the agitate folks. When number ninety eight and number ninety
three agitate folks. My bottom line is they results is
either sack, solo tackle for no game or loss.

Speaker 8 (17:20):
You'll see ninety eight, like I think a lot of
players hill up. He's the hype the hype.

Speaker 6 (17:25):
Man, only like an antoine would yeah, fireplayer, Yeah, yeah,
definitely the hype man.

Speaker 10 (17:31):
But so we might see some hands throwing this game.

Speaker 6 (17:34):
You might see it's gonna be some fisiness scrappy for sure,
for sure, yeh sure.

Speaker 5 (17:39):
A couple of stats Broncos defense is ranked fourth and
points allowed at eighteen point one per game, third in
yards allowed two hundred and seventy four point one, and
maybe the most important stat of all, because we know
the magic number here with the Cowboys. Last week was
the first time they've given up thirty points all year.
They give up thirty two, So yeah, take.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
Our first break when we come back.

Speaker 5 (18:01):

Speaker 9 (20:32):
All right, Okay, Jesse was locupy, sorry looking at something
on his phone. So okay, Ever since lady outside off
the whole show off, I saw I've been.

Speaker 10 (20:51):
Oh, so, Patrick's certain one of the best corners in
the league.

Speaker 5 (20:55):
Tell us about him, Jess, Jesse, is there any mm hm,
is there anybody in this league defense wise that can
hold this tandem group of receivers under let's just say
one hundred and fifty yards combined, because if you take
one of them out right, you ain't taking both of

(21:17):
these dudes out of the game, are you, Because we
in the past, we've seen we've seen receivers here get
shut down and sit on the sideline, put get taken
completely out of the game, not have a catch, have
one or two catches.

Speaker 10 (21:30):
You're not doing that with these two guys.

Speaker 9 (21:32):
I'm add on and can we win this game if
we throw sixty five times?

Speaker 2 (21:39):
No?

Speaker 6 (21:41):
Man, oh man, this is gonna have to be a
balanced game because you drop back sixty five times. That
stat number that we said, thirty four sack number that's
going up, that's.

Speaker 9 (21:54):
Going way up.

Speaker 8 (21:56):
Patrick's are ten.

Speaker 6 (21:57):
If I'm trying to think, I don't want to, I
don't want to misquote myself.

Speaker 9 (22:04):
Might be.

Speaker 8 (22:06):
You got Derek Stingley Jr.

Speaker 6 (22:07):
In Houston, Patrick Sir Tam might be a top three
cornerback in this league currently as we say today like
he might be. He's in that conversation, Patrick, Sir Tan
Stingley Sauce.

Speaker 8 (22:25):
Sauce is very beatable. Sauce doesn't.

Speaker 10 (22:30):
Who's who's the shut down corner? Is there a shutdown
corner in the league?

Speaker 8 (22:33):
Patrick Sir Tam might be the closest.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
If there's consider that I'm doing my air quotes for
those who are listening not on the YouTube, he might
be the closest.

Speaker 9 (22:44):
But when you have.

Speaker 6 (22:49):
And that you when you have two great players, when
you had Dion and Jerry, when you had Dion and Michael,
right like, it's do you shut them down?

Speaker 9 (22:58):
Right?

Speaker 10 (22:59):
You maybe limit them minimize damage.

Speaker 6 (23:01):
You know what I'm saying, Like, Uh, you don't. You
don't unless you like completely bracket and just play. You're
not shutting cd Lamb down just on some man and man. Now,
is he gonna go off of one sixty?

Speaker 9 (23:15):
Maybe not.

Speaker 6 (23:16):
But if you think you're going to line up man
and man all day long with CDE Lamb, Oh, you
went for a battle today. You went for you went
for a good, for a good, twelve round fight.

Speaker 9 (23:25):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 6 (23:25):
That I would love to see as a as a
sports fan, as a football fan, I would love to
see that. But Patrick's or tads one of the best.
He's one of the best.

Speaker 11 (23:35):
He is sixty nine point six passer rating against sixty nine.
That's pretty good.

Speaker 9 (23:43):
What is he ranking in the whole day is very good?
What is he rank the whole out of all the corners?

Speaker 12 (23:48):
Ah?

Speaker 11 (23:50):
Yeah, but it's hard to tell because some of these
guys don't get targeted very often.

Speaker 6 (23:54):
Yeah, I think I think pastors in my opinion, in
my personal opinion, and this is not me trying to
you know, play Kate or pump up or y'all say
like I'm scared.

Speaker 8 (24:05):
I ain't scared of nothing. I ain't got to play,
So I'm gonna be at home with y'all. Ain't nothing
to scare me, you know what I'm saying. Curt noybody
who out there and put his hands on me, I am.
I'm gonna be at home. I'm at the studio.

Speaker 6 (24:17):
What Patrick's certain is one of those guys where it's
gonna be a really good matchup. Now, I don't know. Again,
I don't know how vance Joseph is gonna decide to
do it. But I'll just say, not consistently going at him.
It's not a bad strategy, you know what I'm saying.
It's like, it's not a bad strategy. Putting CD in

(24:38):
the slot and then now making him have to play
both ways, not a bad strategy.

Speaker 8 (24:43):
But just to line him up on an island.

Speaker 9 (24:45):
And that's the.

Speaker 6 (24:45):
Difference, you know, if you're gonna line up him over
George Pickens, he's gonna be out there on the island,
right and he ain't Marshaun Lottimore. So I don't, you know,
don't don't think what happened, But Marshwann Lottimore is what's
gonna happen with past certain he's a different He's a
different player. He's a really good player. I don't know
how to say it. I just I believe in Ceedee

(25:05):
lamb skills that much. I believe the way this offense
is rolling right now is is tops in the league.
So shutting them down I don't think so.

Speaker 10 (25:16):
Is there anybody in the league that could shut them down?
Any team in the league or.

Speaker 9 (25:23):
This team here came for one reason. Jesse said that
we can't throw sixty five times, don't get out to
the quarterback. They can get out of the quarterback.

Speaker 6 (25:31):
Yeah, And I wouldn't and people not gonna want to
hear this, but I wouldn't want to have to go
see the Packers again. Just defensively. Don't get Mike is
getting to see legs. He got his legs now.

Speaker 5 (25:44):
Shutting them down, Shutting this offense down isn't taking receivers
out of you get where you don't have time to throw.

Speaker 9 (25:51):
Yeah. The thing that I'll continue for our guys, for us,
I mean, because I know when you listen to other shows,
they give you fantasy. But for us, we're gonna give
you the real bro and if you had to play
right now, the Green Bay Packers. One thing that's gonna

(26:11):
because that they're not gonna let you do any team
that want to really get after us. They gonna take
thirty three out the game, Fellas, and they like we
should have took like we should have made ric o'donal
non existent. So this kid could have beat us. He
couldn't have beat us. The quarterback cannot beat us. So

(26:35):
sometimes you got to realize, who can't beat you Rico.
They're not gonna let this kid Davante Williams beat them. Yeah,
they not.

Speaker 11 (26:46):
Is this They've only lost two games, both by last
second field goals? Is this the best team where they
faced Cowboys have faced before? Like Nate was saying, man,
maybe if you faced the Packers Packers at that time. Yeah,
this is gonna be the best team.

Speaker 6 (26:59):
This defense right now to date, it is probably the
most complete, your most complete.

Speaker 5 (27:08):
Yeah, go back to when you talk about communication and
how they talk across positions and across formations. Is that
something the players have to initiate and decide themselves. Does
that come from the defensive coordinators, that come from the
head coachy?

Speaker 3 (27:24):
How does that work?

Speaker 8 (27:25):
Every there's not a defensive coordinator.

Speaker 6 (27:29):
In the planet that it does not emphasize communication over communication,
there's not one just whether the players listen. It's whether
players want to do it or not. And also comes
down to the because sometimes you just have players that
are just in the in the laman since talkative. You
just have some players who are just communicators in their

(27:51):
everyday life.

Speaker 2 (27:52):
Right.

Speaker 6 (27:53):
The really good ones understand that, you know, you watch
guys like Ed Reid and ray Lewis, like those guys,
put them in front of a mic right now, they're
gonna talk. So on the fields, it's not it's not
you know what I'm saying, a person right, it's a
personality thing, right, And so they're always willing to talk.
But the really good football players and good football teams

(28:15):
pick the sport. Communication is key, basketball, football, baseball being
able to over communicate things. And and it may sound
mundane or might you know, it may sound a little
bit just oversealous with it sometimes, but with every single
play we all should know what the heck we got
right and every time because we live in the day
and time now with offenses that are shifting and motioning

(28:37):
and all that kind of stuff.

Speaker 8 (28:38):
So don't just assume because we were in the same.

Speaker 6 (28:41):
Meeting that I heard the call and that when it
shift and it shift shift, that I got the next
call over communicated.

Speaker 5 (28:50):
Because that's a common theme you've heard throughout this this
year on this team is lack of communication. So I
was just wondering if that's player initiated or from the
top down.

Speaker 8 (28:59):
Or it's it's all over there above.

Speaker 6 (29:00):
And Sean Payton as a head coach, he's a guy
who's I mean, he's on top of everything, right, he's
the CEO of that team. He's a guy who's been
a head coach in this league for you know, it
feels like two decades now, you know what I'm saying.
So he understands the importance of it all.

Speaker 13 (29:14):
You know.

Speaker 6 (29:14):
Offensive line Nate knows, Hey, if the quarterback check, we
all should be talking when the sinner says, we going here,
everybody all right.

Speaker 8 (29:23):
Cool cool, cool Roger Roger Roger Roger Leo, Leo, Leo Leo,
and we all we all on the same accord.

Speaker 13 (29:29):
Uh.

Speaker 6 (29:29):
But good teams have that aspect about them. It's it's coached,
it's taught, and it's drafted. I want guys who are
going to be able to communicate if you can't. And
and this isn't a you're not going to get one
hundred percent of guys being just overly talkative. But I need,
especially those my safety, my linebackers. I need my guys

(29:52):
communicating and talking. And uh, when you have success, it
makes it even more easier. So uh, it's it's a
it's across the board, but it starts at the top
and then it works its way down.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
All right, let's take our last break. When we come back,
more football, hang up with the boys, be right back.

All right, here's a fun one. We'd like to have
fun on this show.

Speaker 5 (32:57):
This is a great question. Pose Bye, Good Morning Football.
Their question was what former NFL player would you want
to unretire.

Speaker 10 (33:07):
To help their team this season?

Speaker 5 (33:09):
My question for you guys is what former Cowboy would
you unretire in their prime to help this football team
out right now?

Speaker 10 (33:22):
At this point in the season, it's got to be defense,
because I think you're pretty good.

Speaker 8 (33:26):
It'd be fun to unretire some offensive players tiring retiring?

Speaker 10 (33:30):
That would that that's a great ideed some nasty That's
a great idea.

Speaker 9 (33:33):
They need some nasty.

Speaker 10 (33:35):
So, Kurt, who would you unretire in their prime?

Speaker 5 (33:38):
All go all the way back to Bob Lily in
the origin of the Cowboys in their prime.

Speaker 10 (33:46):
Now, obviously there's you know, the differences.

Speaker 6 (33:49):
Stuff today, Bob Lily get tossed up to Dayton. I'm
kidd because I know people can be like Jesse, you
shut up, you're a hater. You don't know the legacy
of Cowboy history.

Speaker 5 (34:03):
Let's just say it's like inflation and their their body
type and Buddy adapted to the today's game.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
Who would you who would you pick?

Speaker 11 (34:11):
Well, knowing who you would pick, I'll go with h
Randy White.

Speaker 8 (34:16):
I think I mean again, you're going I'm changing mine
now I'm changing.

Speaker 6 (34:20):
I'm going I'm going with I'm going with the best,
one of the best defensive players in NFL history.

Speaker 8 (34:27):
Give me prime.

Speaker 10 (34:29):
Oh really, you'd go you go outside instead of he
wouldn't inside.

Speaker 9 (34:33):
Huh, he wouldn't play. He won't play with them because
he would say, y'all ain't gonna pass rush.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
He would tell you, I'm good, I'm fishing well.

Speaker 8 (34:47):
If I couldn't, if I couldn't get prime, I couldn't
get prime. Uh, then for sure, give me the.

Speaker 9 (34:52):
Ware, get some edge edge help. Yeah, what about you
name but one person that can come in and fix
this thing right now? I give it him. Two first
round picks right now for Randy White. Give him up,
give him up this year and next year.

Speaker 8 (35:05):
So we were talking, you said full picks, hunt to
get all.

Speaker 9 (35:10):
Since y'all want to get rid of him.

Speaker 5 (35:14):
So, Kurt, you brought up a point, like could could
Randy White at two hundred and fifty seven He was.

Speaker 9 (35:20):
Not two hundred fifty seven pounds. I played, I played
with him. He was not two hundred and fifty seven pound.
Randy was about two seventy to eighty. Randy was hell
Now he is all He wasn't. I'm not saying he
was better than number ninety nine because I have the
ultra respect Aaron Donald for Aaron Donald. But Randy is

(35:43):
taller than Aaron Yes, he's taller than Aaron Donald. How
tall was Randy?

Speaker 11 (35:48):
Uh?

Speaker 9 (35:50):
And I know he weighed just as much as error
because I played I played against him, and uh, lightning
quick what made him so good? He's way taller than
he was, explosive and had great hands, and and when
he could when he wanted to play with leverage, he
can get up under you, he can go around you.

(36:12):
He can shoot a gap with purpose. He can shoot
a gap with the idea. Because coach s and Andrew
was so formation orientated. Yeah, you got it to the
point where you had to know the formations. So if
you are smart enough player, you see a formation and
you playing the percentages, you better be able to explain

(36:34):
that the coach Landry Well, coach, I saw this formation here,
That's why I took the gap. But Randy, you know this.
You gotta do to what we asked you to do. Yes, sir,
but you know, but it's a five year loss what
you're gonna say, and that can free he anybody that
can make plays the way he did behind the line
of scrimmage. I was with the Washington Commanders and we

(36:58):
were in a four week training camp. We would take
one period out of each training camp, out of each day,
and they would call it Randy's period, Randy White's periods,
and we would run wham plays, traps, long and short

(37:21):
influence plays to beat him up. And I used to
be sitting there, I'm a cowboy with him, like, wow,
they're looking.

Speaker 12 (37:28):
Away to destroy this man, you know, because he was great,
because he was great, because he was great.

Speaker 9 (37:43):
I'm telling you. They would take and I'd be like,
they do this almost every day. Randy White period. Straight up.
I've seen this from my own eyes.

Speaker 10 (37:52):
How was they trying to destroy their own teammate though?

Speaker 8 (37:55):
No, no, no, he was with the command Wow, Commanders.

Speaker 9 (37:58):
I used to do this. I got Yeah, the Washington Commanders,
they used to do this. I used to be like wow.
And so when I got to the Cowboys, first thing,
I said, boy, Randy you good, bro, you good, you
got your period? I said, they had an old parent
for you.

Speaker 15 (38:15):
Bruh.

Speaker 9 (38:16):
He just smiled. Brother. It's only a few players that
I think can play in any era. You know, it's
only a few Lawrence Taylor, Randy White, little little number
ninety nine. They wouldn't have gave him a chance because
he was short. They wouldn't have gave him a chance.
But he could have played. It's only a few guys

(38:38):
Reggie White that could play in any era, any era,
you know, because they were physical, They was tough, they
was quick, There was explosive, and they was intelligent.

Speaker 10 (38:48):
I thought, you might say, Charles Hayley.

Speaker 9 (38:51):
Yeah, now it broke his back, it wore eventually.

Speaker 5 (38:57):
But boy, how do you think a personality like Charles,
no nonsense, get on or get out, if they wouldn't care,
would fit You don't think today's locker room.

Speaker 9 (39:10):
The days like when when you deal with that kid
right now knocked Charles out right now.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
So the kids we're talking.

Speaker 6 (39:18):
About, we're talking about and we're talking about Charles and
his prime. Yeah, Charles is a prime.

Speaker 8 (39:24):
These kids ain't got a chance. No Charles and his Prome.

Speaker 10 (39:27):
He had hurt some of these kids in here, yeah right,
well he would have.

Speaker 3 (39:29):
He wouldn't have stood for what a lot of what goes.

Speaker 8 (39:32):
On now right yeah? And what what it ended up with?

Speaker 6 (39:34):
What happened was is that he would have forced ownership
to do something different. Yeah, either get rid of him
or get rid of one or the other. Yeah, if
you asked that correctly, yes, he would have forced ownership
to do something. But if he's playing at the all
pro level, it would have been him because his heads
would have been I ain't just beating on you to
beat on you. I'm beating on you because you ain't

(39:56):
doing what we need you to do to be good.
Like never mind, I'm not gonna say the name the.

Speaker 9 (40:03):
Thing, the thing that's amazing about him, thank you Lord.

Speaker 3 (40:09):
The thing about eight years but started to catch on.

Speaker 9 (40:13):
The thing about Charles was he was willing if he
if he felt in his heart that you cared, but
if he saw that you didn't care, or he was
gonna talk by you like a dog. He was gonna
try to break you to the point where you couldn't
perform on the field and they won't have to get
rid of you. So what did he what did I

(40:35):
know you?

Speaker 5 (40:36):
You credit him a lot with helping you out and
getting you in shape and you know, helping your career.

Speaker 10 (40:42):
What did he see in you that made him want to.

Speaker 9 (40:46):
The film The film because he told me, say, you know,
he watched a lot of film. He said, man, I
used to watch you man the first six games of
the year. But you I be like, this kid gonna
be all pro. Man this this dude, if he can
doing it. D say, watch film like eight games as
about eight nine games after the CD. Like, you don't
even look the same in game like ten or fifteen pounds.

(41:10):
You ain't moving as quick. You ain't as fast, he said.
You can tear, you could play, but you just ain't
the same guy. He said, we're gonna change that. So
he saw potential in yes, yes, and that's what made
him yeah, yeah if he And the thing about it
is one thing you one thing you weren't gonna do.
Whether I was in shape or not in shape and

(41:31):
some and I'm not, and I didn't win every battle.
I got some games, but I looked at bad, you know.
But one thing you wasn't gonna do. You weren't gonna
break me. Whether I was three hundred and eighty, whether
I was two hundred and ten, you I wanna gonna
let you break me. Guys, I'll be saying, Rico, Brocustler,
I would have hit this dude, never mind, shut up.

(41:53):
Look at that.

Speaker 8 (41:54):
Look at the.

Speaker 9 (41:56):
THEO today. But you just think, man, if you know
it's coming, it's one thing to come in here and
rush for two hundred yards, but you know it's coming
in the first ten plays. You see it coming. And

(42:17):
nobody from a coaching staff to a player did nothing.

Speaker 12 (42:23):
Bro.

Speaker 9 (42:24):
But come on now, I'm talking about the coaches is
to a player, did nothing but took it. Not mean
not Charles, not Michael Irving. I don't seen him run
out on the field and cuts our defense out. I
don't see. I don't seen Darren Woolson get an interception,

(42:47):
get a fumble, and I'm walking. I'm running out in
the field jacked up, and Darren to look at me
like I see you dance once you score a touchdown,
your fat man. I ain't even your boy, you know
your boy? I mean I was this boy. But I'm like,
come on, now, you go talk to somebody that you

(43:08):
don't even hang out right right right at the pole
like that like that? No, me and Mike at the pole.

Speaker 10 (43:18):
Oh, Kurt, we got a minute left. Anything you want
to cover before we get out of here.

Speaker 11 (43:21):
I had one question you guys have kind of touched
on it. You mentioned.

Speaker 10 (43:27):
You just knocked your mic completely. Yeah, giggle, Oh, obviously,
there you go.

Speaker 11 (43:35):
You had talked about Jones, one of the nose tied
defensive tackles, and you mentioned the safety who Funga, and uh,
they're leading tacklers Singleton. The middle linebackers, they're real strong
up the middle.

Speaker 9 (43:48):
Yes, they are.

Speaker 11 (43:49):
That has to make a huge difference in how do
you come about that?

Speaker 9 (43:52):
I guess they set the edge as well. When you
give up ninety three yards on average, you have to
sprinkle in enough run plays to keep the moneys. And
what I mean by that is their linebackers are good.
I'm talking about the middle line, but they're good. They

(44:13):
can get back into coverage. That ain't saying they great
cover guys. I'm saying, but they can get back to
where they belong. You always want them taking a step
forward all ways because that helps Dak. You always want
them taking this so you gotta run just enough. But
if that number ninety three are number ninety six, if
they let these two guys start taking over the middle

(44:36):
of our offense and making our running back after take
a stud of step, it's over. It's over. And That's
why I ask Jesse, because I remember the Carolina game.
Can we beat these guys if we thowt if they
if they forced to force to abandon them.

Speaker 8 (44:55):
Yeah, you'll lose that game. You'll lose that game.

Speaker 6 (44:57):
But you know, to answer your question from perspective, Uh,
Kurt Nate always talks about the middle.

Speaker 8 (45:05):
Of the defense.

Speaker 6 (45:06):
And it's not just the nose tackle or whoever you
have in there, but it's that linebacker. It's that when
you when you have when you have that solid middle lockdown,
it makes life so much easier for you defensively because
I'm stopping to run. My linebackers are free to roam
because my my penetration up front is solid. So now

(45:29):
the guards and the centers and the tackles aren't getting
to the next level quickly. My linebackers, my middle linebackers.
Who's who's usually the forced dude? Right, So he's the
dude that's spilling everything to the salmon in the will, right,
so he wants to be the one coming downhill. Well,
if I'm taking on the center, I'm taking on a guard,
then I'm not coming downhill, right, And now I get
blocked into the to the pile and they mash it

(45:50):
all up and the runs coming right out where I
should be at. So if I get a solid guy
up front who pushes that pocket back, now I have
a linebacker that's free that that now clears up my
vision for everything in the secondary from the safety position,
because now I see everything coming. All those holes are
blocked up, and now anything that's coming across from there,

(46:11):
I'm on it. So like having that thing down the middle,
that's while you want good linebacker, good safety, play good
you know your nose up front to be able to
eat some of those blocks up man, When you have that,
that makes everything else better because everything now is going
to funnel out to those other guys if I got it,
because once I if I can beat you down the middle,

(46:31):
I can do whatever I want. Now now you can't
stop anything. But if I if I make everything go
east and west, oh, we can rally to that.

Speaker 9 (46:41):
Let me ask you all one question and we'll talk
about it another time. I want everybody to know this.
If we lose number ninety five, Kenny Clark is that
his name? Sir? Y'all know who's next in line. Just
leave it like that. Leave it like that that's an ender.

(47:03):
Just leave it like that, all right, think about who's next.
Thing line?

Speaker 3 (47:07):
Jesse, Nate, Kurt, good stuff today, fun show.

Speaker 9 (47:11):
Chris, he always bumping his team.

Speaker 5 (47:14):
Kurt Beam, thanks for keeping us on the air. Josh,
thanks for keeping him coming. We'll be back tomorrow with
Cowboys defense. Yeah, Denver offense or maybe just all of
Denver's offense.

Speaker 8 (47:24):
No Cowboy defense. You said the boy played last week.
Let's got the boys.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
Playing, all right, we'll talk about him. Were saying any
names yet or we just no no names yet?

Speaker 9 (47:32):
All right?

Speaker 3 (47:32):
Were talking about the defense department? Hold hanging with the boys.

Speaker 1 (47:36):
