Speaker 5 (01:17):
When we speak to each and every show but Wingstop
or Flavor gets.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
Its wee.
Speaker 7 (01:24):
Funny quick, little funny story. Someone told me, like, you know,
when we do the opening and we have such a loyal, loyal,
loyal fan base, we do and so I was told
the other day.
Speaker 4 (01:36):
Uh, they were like, I really.
Speaker 7 (01:38):
Do feel like I'm a part of the show, Like
because I do the opening with y'all, I do the
wings with y'all. They go at the end of the
show is they're like, I'm dapping up, like when we
tap up, everybody like they're dapping up too, like they're
a part of the show. And then when I say
I'm out, they say they're out. It's like subconstantly. They
just do it now because it's such a loyal listeners.
It's just a part of when they when they turn
the show on, same case say rhythm save everything.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
So we appreciate you, thank you so much for watching.
Speaker 5 (02:05):
Heck yeah, like when your when your songs come on,
you sing yeah, podcast, come on, yeah, just join in
with us.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
I was like, you do the cadies too. They're like,
just how you do the caties?
Speaker 2 (02:16):
Like, all right, that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (02:18):
I was thinking the other day too, you know, so
you're thinking, well, I was thinking after we got off
the air. Okay, by the way, miss Terry call us
eight eight eight eight five nine seven, we need we
need some fireworks today.
Speaker 2 (02:31):
We need some smoke call us.
Speaker 5 (02:33):
And if you're not Miss Terry you can call us too,
but give her like five minutes to make sure she
gets in. So you didn't talk to the folks the
other day at the game until they yelled out hanging
with the.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Boys, right, and then you turn around a wave.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
Now what I did was I saw a tour maybe
about thirty forty five people, okay, and they was talking
and it was most of them was Green Bay fans.
That's why I and I went off on them and
told them we just gave y'all Michael Parsons. And notice
he didn't you know how to impact your thought that anyway.
And as I was walking.
Speaker 4 (03:05):
Away, don't do that.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Don't do what.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
Don't do that.
Speaker 5 (03:09):
You know it's gonna come back, don't you.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
Don't do what?
Speaker 4 (03:12):
Man finish, finish the story.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
I just sworeter Jesse finish. And so as I was
walking away and the ladies that was Nate Newton, they
didn't know what it was, and uh a, Nate, how
you doing? So I was just waving and then they
said hanging with the boy and I was like, yeah, yeah,
hanging with the boys.
Speaker 5 (03:31):
And so all right, well, so if you want Nate
to acknowledge you, if you holler Nate depends on the
day you catch it.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
He may or may not wave.
Speaker 5 (03:41):
He might just come over and hug you, make a
picture where you He might just keep walking and not
act like he doesn't hear you. But if you yell
hanging with the boy, he knows you support the show
and you're part of the group, he will wave at you.
Speaker 1 (03:58):
That's right. I got to man, I gotta, I got.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
So there you go. Just yell hanging with the boys,
and Nate will acknowledge it.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
Because some of these shows round here that's competing against us,
they don't know what we know. They don't have the
style and the class and the swag that we have,
but they will go out and get of us to
try to add to the glory and it will not happen.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
To preach, yeah, n yes, all right, we have a caller,
a very special guest on the line to seek seeking
redemption from the conversation Jesse had with the camera yesterday,
Miss Terry B.
Speaker 2 (04:34):
Welcome to the show.
Speaker 8 (04:37):
Good morning, guys, Good morning, I'm good. How you guys.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
Doing all right?
Speaker 4 (04:44):
Great?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Get to you know what, Jesse?
Speaker 8 (04:48):
You know you're wrong right right? Okay? So for reference,
I went back and.
Speaker 3 (04:56):
Look at it.
Speaker 8 (04:57):
You did not say we was talking about if the
Jets was better than Dallas. You did not say they
was better. But y'all was very finicky, y'all.
Speaker 7 (05:05):
No, no, no, no, no, no no no no no stop stop
stop stop.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Stop stop stop stop.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
This is how it happens.
Speaker 7 (05:15):
This is this is you know and I don't you know,
AhR watching this show. So I don't want to give
myself in any trouble, Miss Terry. This is the part
I'm talking about about a certain gender accepting accountability. Now,
you're not gonna just breeze through this thing and say
you were right and continue on your sentence.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
No no, no, no, no, no, no no no.
Speaker 7 (05:39):
You will say that you went back and you watched
and I did not say what you publicly said that
I said. And before you finish your sentence, there will
be a period in that there will be an apology
to Jesse Holly and then will allow you to finish
what you were saying, because you went on the whole
thing on social media about what I said, what we said,
(06:00):
and you trying to pull up tape and the words
never came out of my mouth or any one of
my one of my brothers on this show's mouth, but
you went on with it. So I'm glad that you
called here today. We appreciate you calling. We appreciate you, Terry,
but there.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
Will be the public apology that was given to me.
Speaker 8 (06:16):
Before I publicly apologized to Jesse Hollir.
Speaker 4 (06:26):
Thank you ladies. Wow, OK, now, finish what you were saying.
Speaker 8 (06:32):
It's just that you guys were signing very on the
fence about you know, you know, because they got these
dogs over here and all the guys that we were
missing on the team. So I was just like I was.
And then Jesse gave a low score, like Jesse gave
nineteen what's that twenty two? You said nineteen twenty two?
I was like, oh man, this can't be good. I
(06:53):
don't keep up with other teams as much as I
keep up with Cowboys, so I don't really know who
the other teams are. Unlet's say in our division. Of course,
I watched those guys, but I was like I was
just I always listened to Jets because he always comes solid.
So I was like, okay, let me see, let me
what are you talking about? So when you scored low,
(07:14):
I was like, dang, it's the JITs, and I don't
even know the Jets was d R and Ford coming
in the game. I didn't even know that much. So
I was just like, okay, with Dane, are we gonna
We're gonna lose to the Gets. So everybody was just ranking.
Speaker 9 (07:28):
No.
Speaker 8 (07:28):
I was like, okay, we got something to be worried about. Well,
that's kind of high.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
I got you.
Speaker 7 (07:34):
It wasn't that I was giving the Jets more credit
than they deserved. It was more so again and maybe
it's ps ps.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
PTSD for me.
Speaker 7 (07:44):
You know, miss Terry, You've been following this team for
a long time. I've been following this team for a
long time, and there were moment that mother, but do
you remember, miss Terry, there were times where if we
lost one offensive lineman, we couldn't do anything. If we
lost one linebacker, we were just in shambles.
Speaker 4 (08:05):
And that residue is still that stank.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
That stink is still.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
Kind of, you know, floating around on my brain.
Speaker 7 (08:14):
So when I think, man, we're down four offensive linemen,
two wide receivers, a safety.
Speaker 4 (08:20):
Who else we missing?
Speaker 7 (08:21):
We're missing a boat load of players, I'm like, man,
and you're going on the road with the Cowboys, having
beat the Jets since two thousand and three at Meadowlands
or met Life or whatever it was called then and now.
So my thing wasn't that I was giving the Jets
of trying to credit because we said on this show
the Jets are sorry football team.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
There'll be a desperate football team.
Speaker 7 (08:40):
I was more so looking at the overall picture of
the Cowboys.
Speaker 4 (08:43):
Condition and was thinking, man, they'll win this game.
Speaker 7 (08:46):
And the reason why I said twenty two was I
was going off a theme that I had said that
before the game, a Justin Fields led team was ozero
and twenty five when the opposing team scored twenty one
points on So I was saying twenty two just to
get over the twenty one mark, to get that to
go along with what I was saying in my number.
(09:08):
But it wasn't that we were giving the Jets a
ton of credit. We knowing waivered that the Cowboys would
beat the Jets. It was just that there was so
much missing from the Cowboys, and the residue for what
the Cowboys used to be when they lost players was
still in my mind, in my heart and my decision
making now after that performance on Sunday that they went
(09:30):
out there and performing the way they.
Speaker 4 (09:31):
Did without all those players. Now got sure.
Speaker 7 (09:34):
Now when the future my they still got to show
me some more. But in the future I could look
back and go, well, you know what, they were down
seven eight, nine starters in a football game and still
went out there and performed well. So that's what we're
getting there. But I thank you for calling them, Miss
Terry b.
Speaker 8 (09:52):
We absolutely absolutely thank you, Sham and I appreciate you
guys taking my car. I'm a call back on Friday
because I need to hear what chat onn say about
he found you hit correctly.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Before you call back in down. We don't want to
have to know.
Speaker 7 (10:06):
I know accountability is kind of hard, you know what
I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (10:09):
When it comes easy easy, you know what I mean?
Accountability thing.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
But you know we we're.
Speaker 4 (10:14):
Glad you called.
Speaker 2 (10:15):
Yes, We're glad you called. Thank you so much, Miss Terry.
Speaker 8 (10:17):
Thank you guys.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
I appreciate it, and talk to you Friday. Look, that's
how you do it.
Speaker 5 (10:22):
If you if you go at somebody, don't hide behind
your Twitter account, don't don't own up to it.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Call it great face to face.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
He was great.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
Eat little humble pie. Say you know what I was wrong.
Let's get let's Jesse pound on his chest.
Speaker 4 (10:43):
No, thank you trying to slide that right in like
you were right.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
No, good for you holding your ground and say no
we're gonna apologize for yeah, because you can't.
Speaker 7 (10:55):
You can't call us because she called us out, not
only me, but us out to being liars.
Speaker 4 (10:59):
I was like a second, now, like come on, that was.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Going around nice, friendly, being a good support.
Speaker 7 (11:06):
Appreciate that, we appreciate you being a part of us.
You can you can cut this clip and show it
to all your friends that you were a part of.
Speaker 5 (11:12):
And and you know what, that's a great example of
what's wrong with social media because you can't you don't
know people's tone, you don't know their demeanor. That that's
a nice lady, that's a cowboy fan, that's a loyal
listener to us. That threw out a tweet and it
sounded like she's attacking you and throwing you under the bus.
(11:33):
But but if you have work, you know, if you
have verbal words, it's more of a dialogue, it's more
of a you get to know, like, Okay, she's a listener, she.
Speaker 7 (11:42):
Knows no, Miss Terry Be she's been following me for
a while. So it was like, I'm like, you know me,
like you you You're not some random that just popped
in my timeline from nowhere like you.
Speaker 4 (11:53):
I'm a solid dude.
Speaker 1 (11:54):
You know.
Speaker 7 (11:54):
You've been around and following me on my page for
a while, so I'm like being a part, you know,
being a fan of the show, following me on social media.
Speaker 4 (12:01):
So I was like, I was like, dang.
Speaker 7 (12:03):
I think that's what kind of took me a little
bit because I was like, you you followed my work.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
Like I'm not.
Speaker 4 (12:10):
I'm not somebody that's going to be I'm not Kurt.
I'm not gonna say wild stuff, you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (12:16):
I do say some wild stuff though, but when it
comes to the football stuff, I'm usually business really, I'm
usually I'm usually pretty pretty solid on the things that
I said.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
You may not want to hear what he has to say, right,
but it's never like, yeah, it's nothing wild though.
Speaker 1 (12:29):
Yeah what's that on your shirt? Bro? What's that said?
What does it say?
Speaker 2 (12:33):
Nirvana?
Speaker 1 (12:34):
And what does that mean?
Speaker 2 (12:35):
It's a rock band, runge band from the nineties. You
heard them before. We'll play something to break. You've definitely
heard him before.
Speaker 5 (12:42):
By the way, before we go to break, are you
torn this week between one a couple of teams you
played for?
Speaker 2 (12:49):
You know you? Are you on the this week?
Speaker 5 (12:52):
No?
Speaker 1 (12:52):
Brother, never, never with my Cowboys. Never.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
Cowboys is my all around NFL team. Dude, cheer for
the Raiders. But if they played the Cowboys, on the
Cowboys to slaughter them?
Speaker 4 (13:05):
Wait that matchup in November.
Speaker 5 (13:07):
Yeah, we've talked Tom, We've talked about.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
It a little bit on the show.
Speaker 4 (13:12):
You grew up a.
Speaker 2 (13:13):
Cowboys man, Yes, sir? How what was that like to
actually play for.
Speaker 5 (13:19):
Them and then win a multiple Super Bowls with brother
favorite team? Growing up like that doesn't happen often.
Speaker 1 (13:27):
No, I don't. What was that like for eleven years old?
Just when I made the Cowboys?
Speaker 2 (13:33):
I mean, did you call everybody hey hey, or did
you keep it?
Speaker 1 (13:37):
Everybody knew?
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Everybody back at Jones how it was People that wasn't
Cowboy fans became Cowboy fans because and then we won
those Super Bowls. Everybody that I knew that came in town,
they knew what it was go into the game because
the big news was gonna make that happen. So yeah,
my best friend Tony Hayes. I remember I told the
story before I went to Florida and him and he
(14:02):
invited me to his house because he lived in town.
I said, Florida, him and his mom and his sister
and brother, and so we went to his crib and uh,
we was. We were just talking about, man, if we
could go to the pros, you know, the dream and everything.
And we laid back on He had a big king
side bend. We just kicked back and I looked straight
ahead and he had a Dallas Cowboy sign and I said, Tea,
(14:24):
He said what.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
I said why? I said, you're a cowboy.
Speaker 1 (14:26):
He said yeah. I said, bro, what.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
If one of us could play for the cow He said, man,
if we do, man, let's look out for each other.
Let's get tickets, right, bro, if I make it, you
in there. And uh, I came to the Cowboys made
it the first year. Second year, I get a phone
call that what's up, Tea, what's up? I'm ride with
these boys. Yeah I know, he said, I'm a Dallas
police officer. I said, you know you got to sea
(14:52):
it was op a cowboy. As long as I playing,
you got season tickets. And I would give him two
tickets to every home game. Oh that's so yeah, But
he was getting it free anyway because he was he working.
Speaker 1 (15:02):
He was working the games. He worked well, he can
work in the games.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
Oh yeah, did you get to see him on game day?
Speaker 8 (15:07):
Uh huh.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Sometimes I would see him, but mostly he'll be working.
So yeah, every yeah.
Speaker 2 (15:12):
That's really cool man.
Speaker 5 (15:14):

You can't see it, so.
Speaker 8 (17:55):
I can't see it.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Shot.
Speaker 2 (18:01):
It's in Jesse's shot.
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (18:09):
Derek oh Man, Well, Curt, since you're on the roll today,
you wanted to ask Jesse a follow.
Speaker 2 (18:16):
Up question about yesterday, but I did, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
It's in your line lineup.
Speaker 13 (18:22):
I was repeating what you guys are. Oh well, well,
you were talking about hater Jesse today.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
So yeah, you just put hater stuff in.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
The what's your question about Shoddy? No? No, no, you
had a question about Shoddy.
Speaker 13 (18:34):
Well, yesterday we discussed that he was cooking as a
play caller, but maybe not so much as a head coach,
and I just is there explanation?
Speaker 7 (18:42):
Well, I mean, he's an offensive head coach, right, so
a lot of his focus and attentions on the offensive side,
which is doing absolutely phenomenal. But at the end of
the day, you're still responsible for this entire thing every
single week, and that defense just hasn't gotten to a
place yet where it's helping out your offense. Your offense
is basically your best defense a lot of the times
(19:03):
is that you have to go out there and make
up for a lot of that. So and I don't
know if there's much more that he can do, but this,
this is the entire product is under your now, you know,
because if the defense was if the defense was you know,
top of the NFL, and the offense wasn't, it's still responsible, right.
So that's the biggest thing for me is that, yes,
(19:25):
you're on one side of the ball and that's doing
well all right, Now you got to make sure that
you you need that other half to come along because
you're not gonna face because like right now, the three
wins that the Cowboys have I think come from teams
with the combined win total of one two, So you're
not gonna get The Giants won one.
Speaker 4 (19:45):
Game, right and Jets one zero zero, you're tied one,
so one win.
Speaker 7 (19:52):
Right now, you're about to face the team that's two
and three in the Carolina Panthers. So you know it's
you're not gonna always keep walking into the Yes, you're
not gonna keep walking into the Giants. You're not walking
into these teams that are, you know, absolutely poors at
what they do. You got them whatever you can do
to get that side of the ball to catch up.
(20:13):
Because on my other show, we did just kind of
like you know, quarterly grades, and a lot of the
offensive positions got a's eighth quarterback, he for running back.
I get the offensive line to c the type A
lot of f's on the other side of the ball
man all across the board on the other side.
Speaker 5 (20:32):
So talking while you're talking about the defense, do you
think they're starting to get Can you see glimpses of
them getting better?
Speaker 4 (20:40):
No?
Speaker 5 (20:41):
No, because I think our fan base thinks they're they're
starting to turn a corner, they're playing better. What are
you seeing from a from a you know, players perspective
looking at tape that makes you think.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Like, no, they're not.
Speaker 9 (20:56):
Well.
Speaker 2 (20:57):
By the way, your nails look amazing.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
Thank you.
Speaker 4 (20:58):
I appreciate that.
Speaker 3 (21:01):
To my lady, Nikki, excuse me, excuse me before you
start number seven from Kurt, how about eva flus defense?
Is its starting to turn the corner players comfortable in system.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
So the reason.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
That out man.
Speaker 7 (21:23):
And I know that we say that a lot of
people say that we shouldn't and but it's it's the facts.
The facts are. You play the Jets. They're not a
good football team. They're not, they are. They are bad
in a ton of areas. And they gave up five
sacks against the Cowboys. Go turn on the film, man,
(21:44):
turn on the film God.
Speaker 4 (21:47):
For getting sacks that weren't even being blocked.
Speaker 2 (21:49):
Like y'all talked about Dante.
Speaker 7 (21:52):
I mean Dante, Dante, Sam Williams, Houston, Solomon Thomas.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
You need to see a little more. You need to
see better competition.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Well, it's right, you take turns, right, you take turns.
Speaker 7 (22:06):
Because teams with the quarterback that is able to pass
the ball on you passed the ball on you at will.
A team that isn't a really good passing team, which
is a better running team, ran the ball against you
at will, right like you you and you can't take
it away. But even on the turnover that the Cowboys calls.
(22:26):
That was after a big game, that like that was
a play with your linebackers. One went the wrong way,
the other ones got blocked and Marius made a play
down the field. I think it was fifteen yards down
the field maybe, Like that was another explosive runs they had.
The Jets had, and I'm not talking about garbage time.
I'm talking about in Breeche Hall had seventy eight yards
(22:48):
at halftime, like you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (22:51):
He averaged eight point one yards of carry.
Speaker 3 (22:53):
Excuse excuse me. So that's number three. What we saw
at linebacker against New York was maybe ak some young
speed versus veteran knowledge, which is better?
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Give me the knowledge. Knowledge is where I need you
to be right.
Speaker 7 (23:09):
I need you because you could be going you could
have speed me going the wrong way.
Speaker 4 (23:13):
But no, no, no, no, no, I'm not saying I'm not.
Speaker 9 (23:18):
No.
Speaker 4 (23:18):
You asked the question. You asked the question, what you do.
I prefer.
Speaker 7 (23:21):
I prefer the knowledge that I prefer to speed. I
prefer the knowledge.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
But Jimmy had a little kick to that. He said,
but my knowledge can't get me there. Give me this.
Speaker 7 (23:31):
Yeah, all right, but you they're they're they're going to
be learning like chamorrow. You know he finished the game tomorrow.
James fished the game with fifteen tackles, which is a
great number, right, a great number.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
But you're going to watch, You're going you're going.
Speaker 7 (23:48):
Watch some of those and it's down the field, like
it's down if it's not like he's like at the
line of scrimmage making these tackles. These tackles are coming
after five, six, seven plus yard games a lot of times.
Speaker 4 (23:57):
But he had something where he played really well. But
you like that, that youth, that youthfulness.
Speaker 7 (24:02):
He'll make his mistakes because he's he's a rookie, he's young.
Speaker 4 (24:04):
He's gonna make some mistakes.
Speaker 7 (24:06):
You you would like for guys like Shamar James to
play in games like the Jets because his mistakes doesn't
cost you as much as much. Right, when you're playing
against a much better team, you don't have first of all,
(24:28):
you're probably not playing with the fourteen, fifteen to seventeen
point lead.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
You're probably it's probably nip and tuck the whole way.
Speaker 7 (24:34):
So every little mistake leaves a bigger gash in the
overall grand.
Speaker 4 (24:39):
Scheme of things. Yeah, when you're up.
Speaker 7 (24:42):
When you're up twenty four to three and he blows
an assignment, you go, he's learning.
Speaker 4 (24:48):
You know what I'm saying. He blowed to assignments.
Speaker 2 (24:50):
It's the time alume with two and you look.
Speaker 7 (24:52):
Across the field and it's Patrick Mahomes or it's you know,
it's whoever on the other side. You're like, son, you
can't miss against Saquon because he's he's going they hit
his head on the goal post. So it's in certain
games like even this next coming game against the Panthers,
you would like to believe that you're better than what
(25:13):
the Panthers are, and you hope that your office comes
out here and continue this just absolutely fiery, pace offensively
and puts up points and you're up fourteen, seventeen, nineteen points.
Because now I have more leeway to do things with
my younger players, because we have leads, and I'm not
(25:37):
afraid to call Blitzer's I'm not afraid to call different things.
I'm not because even if we mess up, the impact
of our mess up, even if it goes for a touchdown,
we have such a great lead and our office in
such great control, we can get it right back it's
trying to have these guys learn on the job when
you're facing.
Speaker 4 (25:56):
You know, the Lions that you don't want to learn
the job against the Detroit Lions.
Speaker 7 (26:01):
Too good, too too physical, too talented, too well coached.
Those those gashes cut differently than it does against the Jets.
So yeah, I'm cool with Shamar James, you know, cutting
his teeth against the Jets, because I know that my
offense will be able to make up whatever we liked.
Speaker 5 (26:19):
So Nate, you as a as the non voice or
reason as the cowboy fan, do you see any improvement
in the defense?
Speaker 2 (26:28):
Do you see him getting a little bit better?
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Is there?
Speaker 5 (26:30):
Do you have hope that they can turn this corner
or even get to the court.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
I'm just so glad that last week we had Walgreens.
This week we got another drug store. So you need
these games to learn. I'm with Jesse one hundred percent.
You need to be able to look at things at
a slower pace. And what I mean by that is
not it's just the NFL, But the weapons aren't as great.
(26:57):
Are the people that's trying to deliver to these wet
weapons aren't equal the quarterbacks, is what I'm saying. This
kid last week, he is not ready for what the
NFL brings, and it showed, Uh, this kid here that
we're playing against this week, he's getting better and you
can see his improvement. He can pass better than the
(27:19):
last kid. But I don't think they have the overall
weapons just to just really gash us. So now get
these young guys a chance. Continue to run your defense
and continue to install so these guys can see, because
I don't think the weapons are as great as what
we face against it like a Green Bay, you know,
(27:41):
or even the Chicago Bears, because like you say, DJ
Moore has been hampered by lack of quarterback.
Speaker 4 (27:48):
They still and then they're well coached.
Speaker 5 (27:53):
Yeah, do you like the way this this schedule, you know,
this last part, this meat grinder heart when you've got Philly,
k C, Detroit, Minnesota and then the Chargers. But leading
up to that, you have you know, you played a
really good game against Green Bay, you got the Jets,
you got Carolina. Those are two learning building games. Right
(28:15):
then you got a pretty good test against Washington. Then
you got a really good test at Denver, then you
got Arizona, and then you got another what you should
handle business against Vegas.
Speaker 3 (28:25):
That gives you what let me let me ask you
direct quick, right, what has given you the idea that
you just gonna handle teams?
Speaker 5 (28:32):
Oh, you're not this team especially. I'm just saying if
you were going to handle teams, it would be the
Jets in Carolina, all right. The rest of them, I mean,
I think they're all gonna be dogfights the rest of
the year. But the way it's setting up is it's
not like hard team, hard team, hard team, hard team.
They're all hard in the NFL, right, but it's teams that.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
You can beat. Ye have a good game, right? Do
you like the way it's looking at it here?
Speaker 5 (28:58):
Before you get into that really really tough stretch, it
gives you a little bit of time to learn, get
some guys some reps, especially with the injuries.
Speaker 2 (29:05):
I mean, it sets up pretty good to go into
that stretch.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
No, it absolutely does.
Speaker 7 (29:08):
And and on the kind of the tail end of
that you kind of mentioned that a little bit, is
we get some guys back, like hopefully you'll be getting
CD back and you'll be getting book A, BV and
BB so right, so you're getting some guys now that
you'll be able to get back and give them maybe
a game or two before you get to that difficult
part of the schedule where you're gonna need all hands
on deck to win those football games. But yeah, I
(29:30):
mean I like the way it's set up because they'll
like the Carolina Panthers.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
Are a winnable football game.
Speaker 7 (29:35):
Like if you did just percentages wise, your percentage of
beating the Carolina Panthers should be above fifty percent, right,
and then who's the next one?
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Yeah, Carolina, then you got Washington.
Speaker 7 (29:45):
Washington home, right, that that's a fifty we alway talk
about that, like, you know, split those split those we'll
like you. You know, we sometimes say that you would
probably be zero and two against the Eagles, You're probably
gonna be two and zero against the Giants.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
And then that the Washington as.
Speaker 7 (29:59):
Of Ladies a fifty fifth split, right, so that that
can go one way or the other, depending on you're
gonna have to show up defensively. That's gonna be one
of those games where you know it'll cost you a
little bit more if young players are making those mistakes
in those assignments, you know, mix ups because of the
quarterback and Jadon Daniels and how he's playing offensively in
the running game, and they have some weapons out there
with scary terry and de bow and so on and
(30:20):
so forth.
Speaker 1 (30:21):
So where do you rank this offense?
Speaker 4 (30:24):
The Cowboys offense?
Speaker 1 (30:25):
Yes?
Speaker 3 (30:25):
Is it a top five offense right now?
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Easily top three? Okay, okay, might even be top two.
Speaker 13 (30:32):
Is there any chance the end of that schedule though,
isn't gonna be the meat grinder we thought it was
because this team could be getting better. Where you've got
you're gonna have Philly at home. They look like they're
on the surgeon.
Speaker 1 (30:42):
They're good.
Speaker 4 (30:43):
Obviously, I've never seen that.
Speaker 7 (30:44):
I've never seen a four to one team that everybody
I'm saying they're falling back.
Speaker 4 (30:49):
It's the craziest thing.
Speaker 3 (30:50):
I'm like, oh, I'm just fell into the Cowboys.
Speaker 13 (30:54):
Cowboys day Brown, he's a mass you know.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
The other it was.
Speaker 7 (31:01):
Two hundred and eighty seven days since they had lost
a football game, and everybody's like, oh, that they're falling
upon it. It's been almost But you got.
Speaker 4 (31:10):
Him at home at home.
Speaker 13 (31:12):
Maybe they're not quite the juggernaut they were trying to Minnesota.
You got them at home, they're maybe you know, their
quarterback whatever Chargers are looking up and down. I mean,
maybe there's Conlin isn't gonna be quite as tough as
we thought. Cowboys are getting better.
Speaker 7 (31:26):
Possibly The thing is that offensively, I don't fear any
of them being able to go back and forth with
three one offensively. It's at some point in time, just
like gravity, right, what goes up eventually will come down.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
That's gonna have a bag.
Speaker 7 (31:45):
He's gonna have a bad He's gonna have one of
these games aren't.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
Where he's just like he's.
Speaker 4 (31:51):
Just off and it's not like, oh there it is
that that game.
Speaker 7 (31:54):
But there's gonna be a game where he's just not Superman,
which he's had to be through five weeks of this season,
and for the most part he's been that he's been Superman.
You get a tie, you know, you get you get
the defense not shown up in a lot of these
other games. I don't know when that game will be,
(32:15):
if it'll be, but you just you just feel like
at some point in time, even the greatest of the greats,
Tom Brady, has a game where he throws two interceptions
right like on the march to having one of the
great seasons that he's had before. So the more pressure
you keep putting on this offense to be perfect. The
closer we get to one of these games where it
doesn't right, and if you if you told me that
(32:40):
I had to take our offense as it's currently rolling
and put it up against any one of those teams
in the meat grinder, I'm saying, let's ball.
Speaker 5 (32:48):
Possession for I'm saying let's ball when it comes to
stopping them.
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Now, it's right.
Speaker 7 (32:54):
It's it turned to the Green Bay game in the
second half where you're like, defense, we just need one stop,
and they're.
Speaker 4 (32:59):
Like, sorry, can't help you on that one. Bro, can't
help you on it. We can't help you on that one.
Speaker 7 (33:06):
They go score, score, score, and you have to match
that output every single week. That's where it becomes a
little bit shaky, and as Nate eloquently talks about every
single time, is what do you do when it's equal
to or greater than you.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
The good football teams I gave you guys the list
the other day.
Speaker 7 (33:27):
They don't turn the ball over, they convert on third downs,
and they score touchdowns in the red zone. The Cowboys
are doing that very well right now. It's it's just
you have to It's so much pressure to keep that
on for the duration of a season, especially when you
start playing good and well coached football teams, because if
(33:49):
the Jets were a good, well coached football team, that
might look different. It might look different. They're not a good,
well coached football team right now, but you look at
other teams and you say they may be all right.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Let's take our last break. When we come back, we'll
go to the phone. See if anybody's there on Hang

actually there's a tropical storm called Jerry forming forming in
the Atlantic.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Hurricane, but it's not heading Carolina.
Speaker 7 (37:07):
No, but I mean today it's not. Yeah, it's a hurricane,
but it's it's tropical. Jerry forms in the Atlanta Hey, Jesse,
what's the.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
High on in Charlotte? On on Sunday?
Speaker 4 (37:17):
Six aut.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Perfect perfect, perfect.
Speaker 4 (37:23):
Perfect weather, perfect weather.
Speaker 3 (37:26):
You know this guy always want that five thousand dollars.
Speaker 1 (37:31):
He's from Louisiana.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
Now, Vegas has been around for a long time, but
easily people from Louisiana. Man, could be that could be
the capital for Betty Is because everybody I know from
Louisiana loves well.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
Louisiana started as a penal colony from what's where they
sent all the it's where they sent all the convicts,
right in that hundreds they sent him.
Speaker 2 (37:56):
They sent him to Louisiana. So it started off as
basically a landlocked pretty right. So yeah, all the you know.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
Take a bed all right there?
Speaker 4 (38:07):
It was released right there.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
Yeah, religious, but very like well everything else to turn
your back to be a penal college.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
Whatever you believe.
Speaker 5 (38:19):
In, go say you're hell Mary's and you know yo exactly.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Wow, all right, Chris, we got a phone call. We
do who we got? We got your boy, Anthony, y.
Speaker 9 (38:33):
What what a crazy man?
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Y'all?
Speaker 9 (38:36):
Funny's funny, dude, bron I checked this out nineteen sixty
when I was born.
Speaker 10 (38:42):
I'm doubling.
Speaker 1 (38:44):
That's a great.
Speaker 11 (38:46):
Anyway.
Speaker 8 (38:48):
I told ye it's gonna be something.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
What man, Anthony, are you ever gonna call in and
be like, you know what? I was wrong?
Speaker 5 (38:56):
Because every you've probably called this show forty times over
the last three years, and every time you call.
Speaker 4 (39:02):
It's only after He's right. That's the problem.
Speaker 2 (39:07):
Every time you go.
Speaker 5 (39:09):
I told y'all, y'all.
Speaker 2 (39:18):
Man, my boy got better.
Speaker 4 (39:20):
I'll let you go.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
Hey, tell him go back and look at listen to that.
You sound terrible. Call back Friday. You got anybody else, Chris?
I mean it's rain.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
You just pick it up. Yeah, let's just no no,
no, no free fall.
Speaker 2 (39:34):
No, we can't freeball and go.
Speaker 5 (39:38):
And you are live on the air and we have
no idea who this is because Chris just put you
on the air.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
Who are we speaking to?
Speaker 1 (39:49):
Anthony?
Speaker 4 (39:50):
Is he called back? Anthony? Man, you gotta get a
better a better phone, you know. Yeah, I get up
that that metro, we'll talk about it.
Speaker 3 (39:56):
Get off that you know you mentioned earlier about the
guys that we have to play. I mean, and I
look back and you're saying after the Carolina game, that's
when the headaches supposed to start.
Speaker 5 (40:09):
Well, you got Carolina, then you got Washington, then you
got at Denver, which is gonna be a good test
away they play. Then you got Arizona, then you got Vegas,
and then you got Philly, Kansas City, Detroit, Minnesota, the Chargers,
Washington again.
Speaker 3 (40:22):
So after the Carolina game, the meat grinder don't start.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
I think it does. You got a couple of you got,
you got Washington.
Speaker 4 (40:30):
The machine is warming up.
Speaker 1 (40:31):
I say that, Okay, he.
Speaker 4 (40:32):
Didn't spend cycle.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
Yeah, it's kind of agitation.
Speaker 3 (40:36):
Yeah, So what you were trying to say is you
do get a breather after the Washington Denver game with
the Cardinals, the.
Speaker 5 (40:41):
Cardinals in Vegas, it's a little step down and it
goes up again, right like I mean, and.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
It never comes back down.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
No, the Giants Giants game of the Year.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
Yeah you sure, that's a good point. Maybe that time
might need that game.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
And the crazy thing is that there's what Philly, Kansas City, Detroit, Minnesota,
Minnesota can probably.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
But Kurt said, so Philly is on his way down,
so we ain't got to worry about them.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
That's what Kurt. Do you need a hug today? He
save easily.
Speaker 1 (41:20):
Yeah, they do.
Speaker 4 (41:21):
My boy curve ball before the show.
Speaker 7 (41:23):
He's he ain't quite he ain't quite fully recovered just yet, but.
Speaker 1 (41:27):
He says something like, you really got to do that?
Speaker 4 (41:29):
My boys boys a little fluster right, my boy curve ball.
Speaker 5 (41:33):
Before something on his computer and he gets all He's like,
it wasn't my fault.
Speaker 1 (41:38):
Corner A little corner there.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Thank you Lenovo, Thank you Lenovo. Supporting our show. Love
our sponsors, love our sponsors up and yeah.
Speaker 13 (41:50):
I'm glad I could promote him here.
Speaker 1 (41:51):
Yes, I appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (41:53):
Kurt's not mad because of the stickers. Kurt's mad because
you can't see the computer and like he's trying to
prove a point.
Speaker 2 (42:00):
Like why are you doing this when you can't even
see this? There's Kurt.
Speaker 4 (42:06):
Hey, if you want to leave it there the.
Speaker 13 (42:07):
Whole show, then go ahead.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
There we go. Yeah, we love you Kurt.
Speaker 3 (42:20):
This day.
Speaker 2 (42:20):
This is come from hiring me, hire my big Well. Kurt,
I got a question I was gonna say you in
the show, how do you want to end this.
Speaker 13 (42:28):
I got a question. So when we play the Eagles tough,
or we played the we tie the Green Bay, it's like,
but we lost, you know this, and that whatever didn't
really matter. And then when we beat the Jets, it's
kind of like, yeah, that is the Jets. Why is
fans people whatever? Why do we discredit these wins?
Speaker 3 (42:47):
Because we are the Dallas Cowboys and we are guaranteed
at least told that we should always be in the
hunt for the Super Bowl, and it it's never went away.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
Every year your fault.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
No, it ain't my fault.
Speaker 3 (43:04):
Fault because I'm trying to help us rebuild, trying to
help us rebalault every year. You hear me say when
it's you and others like you, Jimmy John.
Speaker 4 (43:12):
Hear and said, who walk around here with rings?
Speaker 1 (43:15):
Jimmy John, I don't even wear my rings.
Speaker 4 (43:17):
It's you who.
Speaker 3 (43:19):
But if we go to a super Bowl, we go
to a super we go to a super Bowl. I'm
gonna say, mister Jones, keep this living of money you've
been giving me and give me.
Speaker 1 (43:27):
A real Super Bowl ring. I don't have bro plastic.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
But anyway, when Jimmy came in and I guess he said, hey,
you know, fell let's start winning all our home games. First,
let's try to start something here at home. And then
he said, let's win our division. And then he said, hey,
tell you what, let's try to get.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
Home feel advantage.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
And he built this thing just like this, and so
I'm hoping that. And I know in today's NFL rebuild
whatever those words are not allowed.
Speaker 1 (43:58):
But when your home game, then go at your division.
Let's see how far you can go.
Speaker 3 (44:04):
It's a building process because you're looking to do it
not only with draft picks, you're looking to do it
with free agents too.
Speaker 15 (44:12):
But it's been twenty three years, but thirty years, but
not with You have to have a consistent theme, and
from top to bottom, that theme has got to be
in place.
Speaker 3 (44:24):
I'm hoping that with coach Schottenheimer that they have a
theme and that they get a chance to work the theme.
You know, what's the saddest thing for me this past
weekend was to watch the head coach of the Jets
or who knows what it takes and who has been
a Jet, but will he get a chance to put
(44:44):
it into effect?
Speaker 1 (44:46):
See, people don't understand coach.
Speaker 4 (44:50):
Trying to do that.
Speaker 1 (44:50):
In boy huh.
Speaker 4 (44:51):
New York City.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
They don't have They don't have no patience.
Speaker 3 (44:54):
You you got'm staying everybody everybody talking about Detroit.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
Oh thatt It okay.
Speaker 2 (45:00):
They gave him a chance his first year fifteen, he
was thirty.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
It took him to his thirteenth game to win his
first game. He had a tie first, and then the
next year wasn't beautiful. But I understand it's two people
I think should have the utmost optimism.
Speaker 1 (45:17):
It's two people. It's the owner and it's the fans.
Speaker 3 (45:22):
Everybody else should be a little bit more responsible, like
this hanging with the Cowboys crew bills. We're responsible, We
tell you the truth, we do it the right way.
We cheer ey fans when they're right and when you're wrong. Jesse,
were glad they call y'all.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
Invite you on the show. He can public shame you. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
they called me out. It's right, mad at you. It's
a great call.
Speaker 5 (45:47):
That's cause we've ever had all right, fellas, good stuff tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (45:50):
Cowboys offense, yes.
Speaker 3 (45:53):
And Carolina's defense all right, Jesse, I'm telling y'all, don't
be Carolina defense.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
Don't Kurt. I see some a little different than most people.
Speaker 2 (46:03):
Bro, I will hear about it tomorrow. Nate, good seeing you.
Speaker 5 (46:06):
Glad you both wore your red pants your red shorts
on fire today. Chris, thanks for keeping us on the company.
Speaker 2 (46:17):
Back tomorrow, hang on with the boys.
Speaker 14 (46:20):
This has been a production of Dallascowboys dot Com and
