Speaker 5 (01:58):
It changes fast.
Speaker 7 (02:00):
What's appropriate? What's appropriate? Wow?
Speaker 6 (02:07):
To say that, I would have told you that that's
probably the proper words you want to use on air.

I'm learning at a late age, it is no good anymore.
Speaker 5 (02:22):

Speaker 2 (02:25):
It's been a while good. It's been a while since
we saw a defensive dominating performance.
Speaker 8 (02:36):
Yes, white jersey swarming to the ball, more than one
guy reaching out with one arm trying to tackle pressure.
You know, guys collapse in the pocket.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
I mean I have I.
Speaker 7 (02:47):
Said out a collapse. I couldn't think of a word like.
Speaker 8 (02:51):
Going into last night, I had not been I sent
out about ten different texts to people. It is like
I'm genuinely excited about watching a.
Speaker 7 (03:01):
Team that has no chance of making the playoffs.
Speaker 8 (03:03):
Like I'm the first time I've ever been excited to
watch football when I have.
Speaker 6 (03:10):
Hold on now, hold on now there, hold on down
there with a snapper saying there's.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
A chance they can make a run.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
They could.
Speaker 8 (03:20):
Let's do this today, on this, just for today, Jesse,
I'm positive. Okay, let's don't let's don't do the but
it was the rate.
Speaker 7 (03:32):
Today.
Speaker 8 (03:32):
Let's just give them their flowers. Let's talk everything positive today.
Tomorrow we can come back to reality.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Just because what about what.
Speaker 7 (03:42):
About?
Speaker 9 (03:42):
Hold about?
Speaker 2 (03:42):
What about date? What about?
Speaker 7 (03:44):
You know, Nate, you know what it up?
Speaker 2 (03:49):
People, don't be fooled.
Speaker 7 (03:51):
He's setting it up.
Speaker 5 (03:53):
It's coming. Might be the first segment, second segment.
Speaker 7 (03:58):
Give it a couple of.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Weeks, a couple of weeks on positive justment.
Speaker 7 (04:02):
Okay, all right, let's stay positive.
Speaker 6 (04:03):
Saw some good things last night, Yes, saw some really
good things last night.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Watch some film early this morning. Saw some good things
on film this morning.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
Really, even after rewatching it.
Speaker 7 (04:11):
What did you What.
Speaker 5 (04:12):
Did you like from the game, Kurt, let's get you
involved early.
Speaker 10 (04:15):
Well, that defense, I mean it was impressed to seed.
I mean it was obviously one guy can make a difference.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
Or five.
Speaker 7 (04:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 10 (04:24):
Yeah, And it was good to see the offense. You know,
they had a couple of rough outings, so it's good
to see them clicking.
Speaker 7 (04:31):
Back on track.
Speaker 8 (04:32):
Shocked at uh CD and Pickings didn't start the games
that kind of catch everybody off guard.
Speaker 10 (04:38):
I'd like to hear your guys thoughts on some of that.
Speaker 5 (04:40):
I'd like to hear what the real story is.
Speaker 8 (04:42):
There's a lot lot going on on social media about speculation,
but I would I would like to know what exactly
happened you.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
George Pickens is a bad influence on Sea, got wearing
that hood, got missing curfew.
Speaker 8 (04:57):
What'd y'all think about Shoddy's decision to kind of send
a message to the rest of the team holding him
out for coaches reasons?
Speaker 10 (05:05):
There was To me it was two sides of one.
I mean, it is good if you're trying to set
a culture, you should you know, now if you've been
playing Philly, do they send him out? Or should they
send him out?
Speaker 7 (05:18):
Nate?
Speaker 6 (05:18):
You don't have the perfect story, Nate, Nate, you have
the perfect story.
Speaker 7 (05:22):
But he said that was so well put.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
Yes, it's who you plan when you playing them and
where you're situated at because you.
Speaker 6 (05:30):
Got what you got the Eric, uh that was super Bowl.
Speaker 7 (05:37):
Like the Super Bowl?
Speaker 6 (05:39):
You know what coach talks about if anybody missus, curfy
you missing these meting, No, you're not playing.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
It was it was it was Williams. Eric, there's no show.
Speaker 6 (05:49):
Coach said, we're gonna deal with that next seasoned.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Eric, forgive me. Forgive me, Eric, because I know you're
a deacon of your church. Yeah, deacon out of church,
real soft spoken, always been that way. But you talking
about somebody when he missed those meetings, and uh, the
thing about it was Eric, forgive me, I'm exposure. He
(06:14):
not only missed him, was missing the meetings. We sent
the guy to go get Eric. He bound on the
door for like fifteen minutes. Eric finally got up. Man, Yeah,
he was libriated. Is that where that one?
Speaker 7 (06:31):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Okay, I figured I can try to get up, and
he couldn't even think. And the guy, you know, he
didn't come back to Coach Johnson said, man, go back
to bed. He went down to coach joneson you don't
want to see. And so it was noticeable he went
in the meeting. So everybody, oh, man, what happened to
(06:54):
big eat?
Speaker 7 (06:56):
And uh, the next day they you know, we team meeting.
Speaker 1 (07:02):
He talking, he's looking at arrogant Yeah, he's going that, Eric,
and I'm like, wow, man, he ain't.
Speaker 7 (07:08):
Finnah starting the Super Bowl. Just get ready for the game.
Speaker 1 (07:13):
You all right, yes, sir, he said, you know, he
said in a way you know, and we all started
laughing because I'm like, we need this our leader, bro,
you know what I'm saying. So it's just I've seen
Mike late the planes. I mean, depending who you are,
what's the situation, what's the game.
Speaker 7 (07:34):
The thing that bothers me is I'm glad that y'all
have the.
Speaker 1 (07:40):
None messy jested today, but we're gonna keep it real
on this show, as.
Speaker 7 (07:49):
Whatever they did did not warrant coach.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
To have to do more than what he did, just
thinking That's how I looked at him, Like whatever they did,
it wasn't no big deal, and even was a big deal.
Speaker 7 (08:01):
What is this game really a big deal?
Speaker 11 (08:03):
Right?
Speaker 7 (08:04):
You know? So?
Speaker 6 (08:05):
But but but also in the same respect of and
this goes back, I mean, has Nate you.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
It's written in.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
History when when you play a professional sport and you
have you're gonna have to deal with some of this.
You just are You're gonna deal with some of it,
even shoddy, He said a couple of weeks ago, maybe
a month or so ago, they asked him about like,
what did you hear from people in Pittsburgh about George Pickens, right,
And it was like, well, you know, people said, sometimes
you have to deal with George being late to some things,
(08:38):
and we just we just accept that. We accept if
you're not gonna be in any professional sport, football, basketball, baseball, whatever,
you're gonna have to deal with some of this.
Speaker 7 (08:47):
Now.
Speaker 6 (08:48):
I much rather deal with tardy than I have to
deal with police. Yeah, no, no, no, that's level. He's
a guy who's getting domestic violence, who's getting duy s,
who's getting you know, gun and drug charges.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
That's one. That's one.
Speaker 6 (09:09):
Now you better have a level of talent that that
surpasses all.
Speaker 2 (09:13):
Understanding on that.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
But if you met, you late to a meeting, you
late to the team bus, you late to the now
the Jesse Holly's of the world, don't. I don't get
any of that. I played with Dez Bryant.
Speaker 9 (09:28):
We didn't.
Speaker 6 (09:28):
We didn't have to wait a few buses, had to wait,
a few planes that had to wait a few meetings.
I had to go back up there, like, hey, come on, man,
you got it, let's go. Jod Camillis told me to
my face. He said, listen, I take care of you.
You take care of me. You don't come to this
meeting without him because he's my roommate. You don't come
to this meeting without him. I know you're gonna know
(09:49):
your stuff, but when you come to this, but even
if you late, you have eighty eight with you.
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Like I ain't his daddy, he said, I take care
of you, You take care of me.
Speaker 6 (09:58):
I'm all right, man. So I'm like, hey, come on, dad,
I'll be there five. Come on, dad, we got we
gotta roll. Come on, dog, Come on dog. You know
spect team meets started seven o'clock. Man, it's six fifty seven.
Come on, doll, let's roll. Let's roll, and we might
stroll in there about seven oh three, seven oh four.
I mean, you go back to you've heard the story
from from Bill Parcells and Bill Belichick. Bill Parcells at
(10:20):
the time, excuse me, Bill Belichick at the time, it
was Bill Parcell's defensive coordinator. Well who's he coaching? The
great lt And Bill Belichick keeps coming to Bill Parcells saying, hey, man,
like Lawrence keeps coming to these meets late, you know,
five minutes here, sometime ten minutes, sometime fifteen minutes. He's like, Man,
I'm trying to run these meets and I'm trying to
get the game playing together.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Man, Like, what should I do?
Speaker 6 (10:43):
Bill Parcells looked at Bill Belichick and said, you need
to start the meetings later. He said, what you're talking
If he getting there late, you started meeting too early
because we not sitting fifty six, fifty six.
Speaker 2 (10:57):
Not sitting, he playing.
Speaker 6 (10:59):
So if all you have to worry about the fifty
six getting there a little late to your meeting, and
I get that productivity on Sunday, guess what, start your
meeting later. If George Pickens and CD gonna be a
tad being late for curfew, be a little bit late
for meetings. I'm not I'm not I'm not saying that
this is the right thing, but I'm just saying it
(11:20):
is a thing. And the great Jimmy Johnson said everyone
gets treated fairly, but not everyone gets treated the same.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
And that's just what this is.
Speaker 10 (11:28):
Is it a concern at all when we're building culture
and all that that you're two star players.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
Or that's culture.
Speaker 7 (11:34):
The thing that the thing that makes me laugh, is.
Speaker 1 (11:38):
Michael Irving was our culture, you know on sadness they
own and.
Speaker 7 (11:47):
The thing that coaches.
Speaker 1 (11:48):
Want more than anything. And I'm and I hate saying this.
The thing that coaches want more than anything, it's for
you to show up Sunday and do your job.
Speaker 7 (12:03):
L T the story behind what he's saying.
Speaker 1 (12:05):
LT. He was sending a meet and sleep and same
brother Belichick, Hey do you know we just went over?
He got up in word for word, told Belichick how
they was running this dame and went back to sleep.
Speaker 2 (12:23):
What do you do?
Speaker 7 (12:24):
What do you do?
Speaker 8 (12:25):
What do you do when those those guys last night
show up, like the coach probably like, you know.
Speaker 7 (12:31):
What, we ain't making no issues up.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
We don't want you all to bring your kids up
like that. Bring your kids up responsible to do the
right thing. But I remember Dion, they wanted to get
that done. He brought up a recliner into the into
his into the meeting room, you know, to the individual
meeting room. They get all over Dion. But Dion was
(12:56):
one of the first people to have the ability to
have a computer with the games already on it. He
was he was ahead of the game. And they were
like what do you think about this? What do you
think about that? Well, when the receiver it get here
to see if you get there, hey, what two or
three things he can do? He said, I'm a cover corner.
I'm not a cover two corner. I cover folks. So
(13:18):
I got in those situations and everybody just yeah, quiet.
Speaker 6 (13:23):
So like people like that, we're not we're not saying,
we're not excusing it. We're not excusing like Jayden Blue,
you can't do it.
Speaker 1 (13:31):
No, no, because we because we week can't do it.
We see you every week smiling with clothes.
Speaker 2 (13:37):
Jelitobert can't do it.
Speaker 7 (13:39):
You can't.
Speaker 2 (13:39):
You can't do it.
Speaker 10 (13:40):
Listen, what were you guys thinking though? That first? Those
two guys sett the next series, the very next series,
a fumble on like the twenty or something like that.
Everybody's kind of like, yeah.
Speaker 6 (13:49):
I said, oh, here we go. I said, here we go,
and then they got together. But no, when that happened,
you see that, and then it's the fumble.
Speaker 1 (13:55):
You like, come on, y'all, not today, you know what, y'all.
The Raiders is my second favorite team. That's MYFC team,
but not never a bud a Cowboys, but y'all. The
quarterback Gino g one gonna have to win that game.
Speaker 7 (14:19):
Did you get that fitute? I'm like, it's bad, it's terrible.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
They got a super super tight end, two of them,
Rially Mike Myers is nice. They got two nice Come on, Gino,
I like, Gino ain't gonna let us lose.
Speaker 5 (14:38):

Back to Hang In with the Bulls.
Speaker 8 (16:59):
Welcome back of the second segment I Hang with the Boys,
brought to each and every show by Blockchain dot Com
Chain Blockchain dot Com.
Speaker 5 (17:07):
All right, overall thoughts, Nate, what did you think of
the game?
Speaker 1 (17:12):
I just I just you know, you felt confident because
uh the players that you got on the field, the
player that you was bringing back on the field. You
just I just felt good if it was a team
that would give us a chance to put a few
things into place.
Speaker 7 (17:28):
Uh, and they did.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
I mean, uh, we we defensively, we just we improved
just a little bit. You know, I'm not uh you know,
I'm not trying to downplay anyone, but when you when
you get that type of guy, and like I told you, now,
you got to decide whether you're gonna double Clark.
Speaker 7 (17:47):
Are you gonna double the other kid, Quinny.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
But the bottom line is they played a few, a
little bit of five man, they played a little bit
of four man. The rotation was nice. Uh, but you
just saw that constant pressu up the middle. And that's
what I've been trying to tell people for years, the
constant pressure up the middle that your quarterbacks feel comfortable
when they can step up into the pocket. Donovan, the
(18:14):
other got forty two of We just got all these
guys came into effect yesterday. I'll give what you color seed.
They got to see offensive line. But we did what
we were supposed to do because we had the better
the better talent. It wasn't about the scheme on the
front end. It was about the scheme in the back end,
(18:35):
and we that yeah, they don't have a guy that
you're gonna double or try to just take out. Besides
the nice tight end Jesse. She talked about Friday, But
did you see a bunch of blown coverages? You know,
people say, hey, this guy came back and that guy
came back. You got to remember those was the guys
that six weeks ago. What the reason the blown coverages? Now,
(18:58):
I'm telling you and I could be wrong. They couldn't
get rid of coach Evira Flues at the end of
this year, that he'll be gone. Fine, But now all
of a sudden, everybody seems to be in the right place.
Speaker 10 (19:10):
Where they're just finally learning the system.
Speaker 1 (19:12):
I mean, no, now, you you can't. The inmates are
not running the house now. The inmates, Uh, you know
Donovan Wilson, at least two times a games we're saying,
what is he doing way up there?
Speaker 7 (19:29):
Did you see him?
Speaker 1 (19:30):
Well, now you have to play as the talent get better,
and and Quinny Williams said, yes, they say, I like
playing with these guys. My main thing is to come
in and do my job. When you get enough good players,
two great players saying I'm gonna do my job, then
the Nate News of the world ain't got a choice
(19:52):
but to if I was supposed to be back there
in the deep third, I'm gonna be back there in
the deep third.
Speaker 6 (19:56):
It was funny a quote from Tomorrow and overshowing you're
talking about. I was talking to winning throughout the game,
and he said he was like, man, I'm enjoying playing
with Quinn. And he said Quinny kept telling him throughout
the game like.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Like, I'm I'm I'm me, Like I'm I'm good. You're
gonna be good because they're gonna have to block me
and you good. You you just go do what you
do because I'm here.
Speaker 6 (20:17):
So he kept saying he's like all game long, Quinny
kept telling him like, I'm him, I'm me. You don't
have to worry about nothing because they're gonna have to
send two dudes to block me. Yeah, so he like,
he kept telling it. So he keep telling yeah, I'm
he like, Bro, they're gonna have to block me. They
gonna keep putting one on one player on me, So
(20:39):
you're gonna be free to do what you do. You
just do your joys because I'm gonna do my job.
You do what you do because I'm me.
Speaker 8 (20:46):
I was like, if you, if you have not do
yourself a favor and take three minutes out of your
day and if you have not ever gone and YouTube
searched Quinn Williams's funniest moments, please go do that. There's
there's a clip in there where he's talking about Madden
came out while they were at training camp and he goes,
he's I don't remember he's exaggerating but he was like, yeah, yeah,
(21:07):
they got me like a ninety seven.
Speaker 5 (21:09):
I'm gonna go home and play with myself. As soon
as this conference he goes, oh wait that came out.
He starts laughing, and.
Speaker 8 (21:17):
Then he's gonna talk trash about Kyler Murray and he
realizes the way he's doing.
Speaker 5 (21:20):
He's like, but Kyler Murray ain't.
Speaker 2 (21:21):
A he's funny.
Speaker 5 (21:26):
I'm good, Yeah, funny, he's hilarious.
Speaker 9 (21:29):
So what do you think, Jesse?
Speaker 8 (21:31):
Overall thoughts, remember this is positivity.
Speaker 6 (21:34):
There was There wasn't anyone who was a new addition
and or a guy coming back from injury that played
back like Caitlyn Carson.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
He played the most snap.
Speaker 6 (21:45):
The whole gaming body right, unreal play well, Rubble played
nineteen snaps play well. I know he had the hold
the holding penalty, but you watch some of this stuff.
What I was most impressed about with, like just to
speak on Quinnen and that you'll understand this was his
hand to hand combat was nice. Like you see that
(22:06):
you see the sheer size of the human being he is,
and you see the speed and the strength. But when
you watch how he displays his offensive lineman's hands and
now you know because if you go to shoot your
hand and all of a sudden, I raise it.
Speaker 7 (22:19):
Up and now you there's no balance.
Speaker 6 (22:22):
And so now and now he's bringing Go watch his
just watch him hand fighting with people. It's really good.
And then it's over and unders. He's ripping through, he's
dipping and ripping like his his his hand in hand
combat is superb. And then you saw the other guys.
You saw Osa Biosa again magically how that happens? Right,
(22:43):
Osa by itself is not a really good person that
you want to have out there. Osa lined up Osa
with a batman, Ohsa with a superman. Oh. Now he's
now his game is different. When Osa had Micah got
him paid. Now he got quinning all of a sudden,
Now Olsa looking like Kenny Clark. Now he's able to
(23:04):
be more placed in his natural position. And now he's
not facing all the double teams. See, when you start
facing a lot of little double team down in and
down out that thing, it just when you got six
hundred pounds of beef weighing on you.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
And so now you add Quinn to that mix.
Speaker 6 (23:24):
Now the offensive line has to decide, well, we're gonna
double here, all right, now Kenny and Osa.
Speaker 2 (23:30):
Y'all gotta work, y'all gotta eat.
Speaker 6 (23:32):
What happens now that that middle collapses, those edges become
a little bit shorter. He comes clowny, He comes down
as a roku. Like I just told you before, Quinn
is telling overshow I'm here.
Speaker 7 (23:44):
You good.
Speaker 6 (23:45):
They ain't nobody going patch with you back, So be
free to roam and come downhill and run side out
of the sideline you start.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
Seeing and then out.
Speaker 6 (23:53):
It elevates everyone else's game when you put a plus
player in there, and Nate talks about it all the
when you have a plus player in there, somebody who
commands the attention of the opposing team's offensive defensive line,
however you want to put it on there, that elevates
those others around you, because now I don't have to
(24:15):
shelter the load of being great. My B level play
is elevated because I have an A plus player that
are eating up a lot of the old things that
I couldn't as a B player. I couldn't successfully beat
double teams every single down maybe once in a while,
But this elite A plus player now they take on that.
(24:38):
Now my B look real good. I'm not having to
play A plus type of game. And that's what you're
seeing now is guys who are bes get to just
be b's. Guys are c's get to just be a
C because you have an A plus player that's allowed
you to have those that freedom to do so. And
(24:59):
then on the back in they had they had poor
Geno Smith running for his life. So what does that mean?
This is probably the most game they had. They had
six or eight pbu's and an interception. Remember we got
to we got seven games of the season, they didn't
have any PBUs we got to it was like game
(25:20):
five or game six. They didn't have not one defensive
back and all of the team had a pass breakup.
They had about six or seven last night eight.
Speaker 7 (25:31):
So that all of.
Speaker 6 (25:33):
That is created because of the guys that you have,
like a Quinn Williams, and it allows everyone else to
just fit right into their role and just be who
they are and not have to be something different. And
the pass, like I said, the passing game, they had
Geno Smith just running for his life all night long.
You get the end of tipped interception, you get the
pass breakups, you get like I said, Carson's playing well,
(25:53):
Blam was playing well. Hooker came back in and you know,
had some good plays you saw. I mean, hell, you've
even seen Kenneth from Oklahoma, who who we didn't know
what the hell to do with him.
Speaker 2 (26:06):
He played well.
Speaker 6 (26:07):
So that's just tells you right there, if nothing else
tells the Joneses and Jerry and anybody else that you
need those level players for your any side of the
ball to be good.
Speaker 2 (26:18):
Last night showed you that.
Speaker 10 (26:20):
Were they doing much different with those three guys up
front or they just pretty much straightforward and go.
Speaker 6 (26:25):
So they they started the game in the five man front,
which they weren't doing before they were doing.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
Four man fronts.
Speaker 6 (26:32):
And again by sheer math, by sheer math, five offensive
lineman gonna be on the field every single down if
you only have four defensive linemen.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
Now I can pick, I can.
Speaker 6 (26:46):
Double two guys if I want to bring a tight
end to defend a defensive end or back to come
up with a defense to defend a defensive end, I
could double two of the guys. Now Now what, Now,
running lane's are open. But when you go with those
three five man front, you basically say we man or
man and if we decide to double one. Cool, it's
(27:06):
probably gonna be Quinning. Now I got as a Rocu,
or I got I got Clowney whoever else on the
edge that has to deal with a tight end, that
dealing with a running back.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
I like my chances there.
Speaker 6 (27:16):
I liked my chances with Donovan as a Roco being
blocked more with a tight end than it wouldn't tackle, right,
And so that that that, and they did I think
I saw they did. They did about four or five
different variations of a five man front, meaning you know,
sometimes it was it was Osa Kenny and Quinnin and
(27:40):
Clowny in as a Rocku.
Speaker 2 (27:41):
Sometimes it was Uh.
Speaker 6 (27:44):
Fowler, Osa j Toya Clark and someone like it was
it was. It was a multiple variations of a five
man front. And I mean the rotation is there, keeping
gods more fresh. And these are not just fat lugs, right,
They're not just like fat sloppy dudes who can't do anything.
Oh says athletic. Kenny's athletic Quinning is athletic get three
(28:04):
hundred and thirty pounds. So again they're still maintaining their
gaps stopping to run. But also when you drop back,
there's still pressure players. When you're able to do that,
man with your front four, your front five mainly, now
you can drop you could drop five six guys in
the coverage and life becomes a little bit more easy
for you defensively.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
As an offensive lineman.
Speaker 8 (28:25):
Was it harder for you to adjust and get in
a rhythm when they're constantly rotating guys out or would
you rather what was harder for you to deal with
one dude the whole game?
Speaker 1 (28:35):
Or that is where I tell people, and I give
you Philadelphia as example. You had Tron Brown, I can't
think of the other cats name, but you also had
Clyde and you had Reggie Brother. That the individual that
(28:56):
when you have great individual players, that is the hardest
thing to block because you don't know where that you
can get the double team help from. But if you
just rotating in just guys, it don't matter. We gonna
kill you. It don't matter you got guys, Just just
guys can't win a game.
Speaker 7 (29:13):
You gonna have to have players.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
And I'm not jumping ahead, but Philadelphia got a number
ninety in a ninety eight. I promise you if they
on a a level game, it's gonna be hell to pay.
Speaker 5 (29:26):
I promise you let's take our last break when we
come back. More football talk on hanging with the Boys.

Speaker 8 (31:44):
Welcome back to the final segment. I Hang with the
Boys and just like seven to eleven Open for business
twenty four to seven. Couple shout outs real quick one.
Good job Lester and Anthony. Both of you nailed the
Cowboys score thirty three points. Anthony had the Raiders scoring
twenty two So he was the closest this week. So
(32:05):
congratulations Anthony. Uh and shout out to Tyler Geydon for
winning an Academy award. Out for bringing some comedy to
that was probably the funniest thing I've seen all season.
Speaker 7 (32:20):
Oh my goodness.
Speaker 5 (32:21):
Now, granted he got hit in the face pretty good.
Speaker 2 (32:24):
Right, he saw a little bit of a delay. He
sold it. He sold it.
Speaker 8 (32:28):
He looked like George Pickens out there rolling around. So
any we were looking at the playing times here, Kayln
Carson played one hundred percent of the snaps. Anybody surprise
you with the playing time that they got? Wilson played
fifty seven percent of the snaps, overshown fifty two percent.
(32:52):
Were you happy with kind of the rotation of what
you guys saw as far as playing time for guys
on the defense.
Speaker 6 (32:58):
At first when I when I shot, he talked about
it like he alluded to it leading up to the
week about you know, they had a plan, how they
were gonna play these new guys. You know, he told
everybody that you know, Quinning is ago, He's he's gonna play,
He's gonna he was because he was the one guy
who kind of played most recently. Then the guys coming
back and the guys who that they brought in in
(33:18):
the trade. But I didn't when I initially heard that
they were gonna be like alternating series, I didn't initially.
Speaker 2 (33:27):
Like that because I just thought, like I hate that,
Like it's put them in there, leave them in there.
Speaker 6 (33:32):
If they need to blow, they'll they'll tap their helmet,
they'll come out of the game.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
But it worked out.
Speaker 6 (33:38):
Overshown got thirty I think thirty snaps around there, twenty
nine thirty thirty one snaps, and yeah, everybody, everybody kind
of got there their portion to get either the russ
knocked off, to get their sea legs back.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
So for that game, for that game, you were afforded.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
This was the perfect Honestly, this was a perfect setup
to have the guys come in from the trade, the
guys come back from the injury. This was a perfect
tune up game for the Cowboys, And I think hindsight
is twenty twenty for me that they did it the
right way. I think they did it in the sense
where everyone got enough reps to get some feeling. Because
(34:19):
next week you're you're facing the number one team in
the East. You're facing the number one team in the NFC.
So you you, I don't know, I don't know if
you're going to you know, because the better teams you play,
the title leaset you get, you ain't trying to do
all that rotational stuff. Saquan is still Saquan. He might
not be on a two thousand yard pace, He's still Saquon.
(34:42):
He's earned that. He's earned that level of respect to
though you ain't feeling your gas where you're supposed to,
Saquana make you pay right, and I know that people
feel how they feel about Jayen Hurtson and you might right.
Speaker 7 (34:53):
Starting to run now, he's starting to run a little
bit more. You know.
Speaker 6 (34:57):
AJ Brown though ain't not getting the ball all the time,
He's still a J Brown.
Speaker 7 (35:01):
They threwing the battle a li bit more game.
Speaker 6 (35:03):
Davante is still Davonte Smith so started getting that their
member mode. There are still things on that side. I
know they will be without Lane, but that offensive line
is still arguably one of the best offensive lines in
the league, top three in the league. So you have
your hands full. This was a great opportunity to get
a look. Also for the coaches, you get a look
and see, Okay, how do we either decrease that person's
(35:28):
role or how do we increase this person's role to
give us the best opportunity to go.
Speaker 7 (35:32):
Out there and win.
Speaker 8 (35:33):
Speaking of offensive lines, what did you see in the
offensive Cowboys offensive line last night?
Speaker 7 (35:38):
Was it just the.
Speaker 5 (35:39):
Talent they were playing or did they play?
Speaker 7 (35:41):
They played?
Speaker 1 (35:41):
Okay, they played, Okay, they they we gave it the
one sack to the big dog, but.
Speaker 7 (35:47):
They played okay. Fellas this you.
Speaker 1 (35:52):
Know, I've been waiting for these three games in seventeen days,
or however they want to put it four games twenty five.
I don't these three games that are coming. He's gonna
show you what the Cowboys are or can be. Because
I like to move they made doing the trade deadline.
(36:12):
I'm not one of them, guys, and I'm quite suggesting
out of you guys not We're not gonna go over
the moon. We're gonna celebrate the victory, but we're not
gonna go over the moon. Because we know who the
Raiders are, but we also know who Philly is, and uh,
we know who Kansas City is. They are you talking
about desperate? You can't sit it right now as full flip.
(36:34):
I know what Andrey is telling his boy fellas. We
gotta win out to even get a good wild card spot.
Speaker 7 (36:41):
So uh, at.
Speaker 10 (36:43):
Least this, yeh, the defense that looks like a compete
now against it.
Speaker 7 (36:46):
The thing about it is.
Speaker 1 (36:50):
Like, I'm gonna stick to this is you you kind
of gotta pick your poison because you will see a
different Clark now. I just believe that with all my heart,
because now he ain't. He's not the guy that's gonna
get beat up some of Quinnie gonna take some of
that now, so you will, I think see a better
(37:10):
run defense. And what I mean by that is it
won't be I don't think at least running up the middle.
It won't be for one hundred and eighty yards one
hundred and ninety yards. Philadelphia gives up, only gives up
one hundred and fourteen, So one hundred yards is around
what people give up these days. You rather see the
ninety eights, the seventy eighths. But you know we had
(37:32):
the twenty seven. But that's that's the Raiders. They just
chose not to throw the ball, you know, they chose
not so that mean to run the ball. They chose
not to run the ball. So all of a sudden,
you know, they getting after the pastor this team here,
it's a different team, different animal, man, And I just
feel like the Cowboys got a step better. You know,
(37:56):
I'm not you know, I'm not talking playoffs, so I'm
not talking. I'm talking about we got Philadelphia. Let's go
out and let's play as a team. Let's be disciplined.
The receivers are much better. They can put you at
critical situations because they have two of them, and they
got a nice tight end. So now even more, will
(38:17):
you be disciplined, you know, will you give it? Will
you give your offense the ball one or two times
in the game to give Dack that chance to keep
a streak going of success against NFC each team. That's
just what I believe. I'm you know, I'm not gonna
go over the moon because I want to. I want
(38:38):
to say so bad. It took us twenty years to
go out and just get this one, dude, it took
us twenty years to go out and get this one dude.
So but now now that we have this dude, that's
don't waste him. Let's do not waste this one dude
that we got. Now let's put people around him that's
(38:58):
gonna at least minimal. They try to do the right
things mentally, line up where you're supposed to, you know,
like like it love with j How Jesse opened it up, Well,
he was telling over shown I'm it, I'm here. What
you see is gonna free you.
Speaker 7 (39:14):
You know what I'm saying. Let my people go, That's
what he's telling.
Speaker 2 (39:17):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (39:18):
You know what I'm saying, So go to the ball.
Whereas before these dudes.
Speaker 1 (39:23):
Was running over the hump, couldn't get past nobody tripping
over each other.
Speaker 7 (39:27):
Yesterday was a cleaner deal.
Speaker 1 (39:29):
But like I said, I watched the Philly game, and
they implement a little bit more.
Speaker 7 (39:34):
It's like they played ten.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Games where if you can line up and beat us,
beat us. Now they're starting to scheme a little better offensively.
They're starting to scheme a little better defensively. Only it's
just it's two guys that's making the difference for them.
And we'll talk about that tomorrow.
Speaker 5 (39:51):
Kurt, where you want to go the last three minutes
of the show.
Speaker 10 (39:54):
Well, you mentioned Dak he had four touchdowns in that game.
Did you like kind of how you handle things? And
and I thought we talk about all the time, his
leadership again, kind of getting this team through everything and
coming out yesterday. I thought it was pretty nice.
Speaker 1 (40:10):
Yes, sir, I think this because I'm like this. I
hate to say this because I don't want to get
into the arguments with people. But you can also get
me a mister forth and loan, no.
Speaker 2 (40:27):
Not reach him.
Speaker 1 (40:27):
There, CD, Thank you, man, CD, thank you, Okay, because
you are helping Pickings George Pickens get paid. You are
helping this dude get paid because he is killing him
(40:49):
second and third cornerbacks.
Speaker 7 (40:51):
He is literally ripping them apart.
Speaker 5 (40:53):
You think George will give him a nice little Christmas.
Speaker 7 (40:55):
Card this year?
Speaker 3 (40:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (40:56):
Yeah, they hung out the other night. Yeah, they hung
out like they're bad.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
And so I just like how CD has been, you know,
unlike other starting deeval receivers, they like hold on, man,
you know you need to you know, don't forget about me.
Speaker 7 (41:14):
This dude. Just continue to play ball.
Speaker 9 (41:16):
If you're Dak.
Speaker 8 (41:17):
Are you Are you in coaches office and in Jerry's
office going what do we need to do to get
this guy back on the team.
Speaker 2 (41:25):
Well, that's what Dak said.
Speaker 6 (41:26):
Duk said, When I have a moment to talk to
Jerry and me and him one on one, I'm definitely
gonna say it. And and and fans, don't be fooled.
Don't don't be fooled.
Speaker 2 (41:36):
There's enough money. There's enough money.
Speaker 6 (41:40):
Like now, I don't know how much George is going
to ask for, but he's almost he's we're nine games
in and he's seven touchdowns in seven touchdowns, and he's
nine hundred and one eight yards in, So he's close
to one thousand, yeah, thirty million starting right, probably probably, Uh,
(42:01):
But there there is enough for all your hopes and dreams.
There's enough money for There's enough money for you to
bring back these three differentive defensive linemen. There's enough money
for you to do that, plus bring back pickings. There's
enough money for you to do all of that and
bring in another plus player in free agency.
Speaker 2 (42:19):
There's more than enough money now.
Speaker 6 (42:20):
Building something now Now, now granted there will come a
point in time. Well, well that that credit card bill
will have to be paid, right, But.
Speaker 5 (42:31):
Just keep expanding those TV deals and that collective.
Speaker 7 (42:34):
Boy.
Speaker 6 (42:35):
But if you're talking about if you're talking about having
a window with CD and DAK and all them, then
you got about two more years you need.
Speaker 5 (42:45):
You need to You need to just push them in.
Speaker 2 (42:47):
You need to push all the chips in and just
push all up.
Speaker 1 (42:50):
Y'all need to call money up there for your drafting needs.
I know exactly what you need. We ain't got to
reach for nobody. And they there in a abundance. The
guys that I'm talking about are there in abundance.
Speaker 7 (43:02):
Are they all defensive guys?
Speaker 1 (43:04):
Uh? One offensive line? I need one offensive lineman, but
the rest you can go all defense?
Speaker 5 (43:09):
What round you need him by?
Speaker 7 (43:10):
My offensive lineman?
Speaker 1 (43:11):
Probably about the third And I need him to be
a dog with good feet. He ain't got to be
overly strong, but he's a dog with good feet. He
can stay in front of folks. I can get him strong.
Speaker 5 (43:23):
Could you want it as a fourth because we don't
have a third next year?
Speaker 1 (43:26):
You know what, manufacture something? Just tell him what Chris
just said.
Speaker 5 (43:32):
We don't have a second or third.
Speaker 1 (43:33):
Yeah, we don't have I don't want I don't want
offensive lineman that high if it's a third or fourth,
because they are out there. You just have to be
one to get it. You know, you don't have to
reach to get these dogs I'm talking about. And now
once we get that safety, I don't need no big
(43:54):
hitting killer safety that can't can't tackle in the open field.
We got eight of them over there, all right, we
got nine or ten of them over there. Get us
a dude that can play in between bru that can
cover ground and bat down balls, and you like Deon, say,
I get them to the ground and can get folks
to the ground.
Speaker 7 (44:14):
That's all I need.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
What we will be And now you can sign all
your other players and you ain't messed up nothing.
Speaker 7 (44:20):
You ain't messed up.
Speaker 8 (44:21):
So will we know you listen to the show. Yeah,
volunteer brother to come over to that side of the
building and help you guys out.
Speaker 7 (44:29):
I got this. I got this, man.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
If we're gonna tell you up on this show, but.
Speaker 1 (44:34):
I'm not going be wrong as long as this as
long as as long as you sign the guys that
we have right today.
Speaker 7 (44:44):
Because I'm trying to build something here.
Speaker 1 (44:46):
I'm trying to build, you know, get the ping pong tables,
put them up, and.
Speaker 7 (44:50):
Just stop going over to each other's houses.
Speaker 1 (44:52):
You know, I can't even orchestrate getting you a house,
a big white one.
Speaker 2 (44:58):
Ye right, it'll be great.
Speaker 7 (45:02):
You know what I'm saying. It being a cold you
sack went way away from the facilita.
Speaker 1 (45:07):
Yeah, yeah, man, I will help you building to COMRADERI
you was trying to get.
Speaker 7 (45:12):
Brother.
Speaker 2 (45:12):
It's a lot of lamb dance lining up, prosper.
Speaker 7 (45:16):
And we will be ubering and not no demos.
Speaker 5 (45:21):
That's an ender. No better way to end the show.
Good stuff, Nate, great stuff, Kurt. Football is fun again,
isn't it for this week?
Speaker 7 (45:30):
For this week? Anyway?
Speaker 2 (45:31):
It again tomorrow?
Speaker 7 (45:33):
What are we doing Cowboys offense?
Speaker 8 (45:36):
Billy, Yeah, it's already your time to shine tomorrow, Yes.
Speaker 7 (45:40):
Sir, Chris, Jase Fletcher Cox from one Team.
Speaker 8 (45:43):
Chris, thanks for keeping us on the air. Josh, thanks
for keeping the company. We back tomorrow, same time, same place,
hanging with the boys.
Speaker 7 (45:48):
We all.
Speaker 12 (45:49):
This has been a production of Dallascowboys dot Com and
the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
Me
