Speaker 5 (03:12):
Have anything to bring to day anyway, said and uh,
we will uh break out the wingstop jerseys on Tuesday.
If we win, they will let us wear them until
So all right, well let's get into it, Jesse. What
on this Arizona offense? Kyler Murray's coming back? They did
pretty good job with Jakobe Brissette. But we won't have

(03:33):
to worry about that. What what if anything scares you?
Great tight end receiver that's has great potential, But as
you said off the air on the show, dropsies a lot, right,
Who I don't know.

Speaker 7 (03:49):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
I had to look on the sheet yesterday to even
see who their running back is. Yeah, I had no
idea that Bam Night is their running back.

Speaker 7 (03:59):
Let's start there. What can you tell me about their
running game?

Speaker 1 (04:02):
Well, it's okay.

Speaker 6 (04:04):
Of course, they lost their starting running back through for
the year in uh in James Connor, and so you
know they they've been kind of running back by committee.

Speaker 8 (04:13):
You know that don't work.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
They've been running back by committee.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
They had they had another former North Krolina tar Hill
at one point time, Michael Carter. Uh, they let they
let him go, and so nothing special, Okay, nothing special
about what they can do in the running game exactly
that that was literally about to.

Speaker 1 (04:30):
Be my next point.

Speaker 6 (04:31):
Yeah, no, no, you're you're right later, Kurt, kurtse Song,
me and Kurt. We got the good synergy going on here.
Where they kill you in the run game now is
when you add Colin Murray back to the mix. Uh,
he was out a couple of weeks with the foot injury. Now,
when you add Kylin Murray to mix, you add the
scrambling ability. I don't think from what I've seen in

(04:53):
two and a half games, they're going to be able
to just run the ball down our throats that they don't.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Have that Wait what what I say that now? You
or is that only road game? I take that back.
I want to take it back. They should not be
able to. They shouldn't. They shouldn't be able to because again, like.

Speaker 6 (05:17):
BAM's a cool name, but nothing, it's not something that's fear.
It's a good running back. Yeah, it's a good running
back name. But the thing that does concern me as
far as the running game is Kyler Murray and his
ability to scramble and break the pocket.

Speaker 1 (05:37):
That's where.

Speaker 6 (05:39):
That's where things get a little bit spooky, because the
one thing about this defense is it's inability to be
in the right gaps, have rush containment, and then when
they get there, actually tackle. And Kyler Murray is one
of those small little you know, you call him a
little jitterbug because you can't see him half the time.

(06:01):
He spend a lot of time in shotgun, very very
seldom when you see Kyler Murray under center, I don't.
I mean if you find if you find five snaps,
you know what I'm saying, a lot of time with
Kyler Murray under the center.

Speaker 1 (06:13):
It's it's, it's a lot. He spends a lot of
time in the shotgun.

Speaker 6 (06:16):
For his own purposes because he can't quite always see
when he turns his back to the defense because of
the height limitations. So they're gonna run a lot of
stuff out out of that. Kyler Murray has no problem
tucking the ball and taking off.

Speaker 9 (06:32):
He's do they do many designed there?

Speaker 6 (06:35):
It's it's it's it's more scrambled than it is designed runs.
He'll do some kind of like on third down, so
to speak. He'll do some sort of uh, they'll do
some of the RPOs where he'll fake it like he's
giving it to the back and he'll just take off.
They'll pull a guard out or center out, and then
he'll be the lead blocker out there. But it's it's
it's not more of a so much design run. It's

(06:56):
him just free willing it and going to scramble to
get me getting the yards, which also then puts into
play when he does scramble. He hasn't been as accurate
when he scrambled this year passing the ball when he scrambles.
Part of that reason well, because sometimes color just isn't accurate.
The other half of that a lot of drops he's

(07:17):
on this football team, especially from Marvin Harrison. And I
say that respectfully because I know who his daddy is,
and the daddy don't play around. So I say all
of this, big Marvin, I say this respectfully, okay, And
if you got any issue with me, hit me up
on sixty one, hit me up on sixty and so

(07:40):
what they do what they do there now, the big
plays on our defense has happened every single week.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
It feels like and.

Speaker 6 (07:53):
Honestly, if I'm being completely honest with y'all, I see
a player two of those.

Speaker 1 (07:58):
Happening in this game.

Speaker 6 (08:00):
Because you're talking about you most likely today's thirdy. They
know you get the extra day. Uh, you're not gonna
have Trayvon, Right, we already know he's on our yard,
so you're not gonna have him. Kyer Elam, God bless
his soul. He's been beat like a drum all year long.

Speaker 8 (08:16):
Right, So.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Now when Shotty starts talking about major changes on the defense,
what does that consist of? You may get one yay back,
You may get Donovan Wilson back, two safeties, two backup safeties.
We all know that Donovan Wilson really isn't a good cover,
and I'll get to why that matters. But outside of

(08:39):
Duran Bland, you're looking at either Kayer Elam Ready Steward
and or Traquez Bridges. Not too confident in those namesake
pick right when you when you when you speak.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
Of those names. And again, the scrambling ability of Kyler Murray.

Speaker 6 (08:57):
And I know he's missed a couple of games, but
even before that, he is actually getting the ball out
the fastest he's gotten it out in a long time,
and usually his number is a little bit longer of
holding the football because he scrambles a lot. He's always
running around. Zay Jones, Marvin Harrison Junior, Michael Wilson, those

(09:20):
are the names that those guys at receivers, And of
course Marvin Harrison is a.

Speaker 9 (09:23):
Guy I just.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
I just have a feeling because.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
Even in his early campaign, like it just feels like
it's the Cowboys, it's at and T Stadium, Kyle is
going to be geeked.

Speaker 1 (09:38):
Up, breakout game. It just it just has it has
that written all over the map.

Speaker 6 (09:44):
It has that written all it has the finally we
see the Marvin Harrison Junior that we've expected to see
out of Ohio state because you hear, like you think
about Ohio state wide receivers, like just take a minute
for a second and just go Jackson Smith and Jigba
Garrett Wilson because you Addampa Bay Yeah, Mecca Abuka like

(10:05):
and then if you go old school Chris Carter, I mean,
I mean, like even in the last couple of years,
and I know I'm missing a couple that's coming out
of Ohio State that just like everywhere you turn, it's
like an Ohio.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
State receiver, kind of living up to the hype.

Speaker 6 (10:17):
Marvin may have been the one that hasn't quite been
really over hyped a little bit like he was supposed
to come out and be like the next Calvin Randy type.
You know, six foot four, can run routes. And of
course who his daddy is, right, Marvin Harrison's senior. I
don't I wouldn't say he's quite lived up to the
greatest hype. But it's the Cowboys. So question for you guys,

(10:42):
hold on, let me let me know, because I'm getting ready.
I'm getting I'm getting to the I'm getting to the
one part that's really might kill us. Like I think
Marvin might have one of those breakout type games.

Speaker 7 (10:53):
The tight end, the tight end He's good, the tight end.

Speaker 8 (10:58):
Me, the tight end good. Yes.

Speaker 1 (11:04):
Now if I'm.

Speaker 6 (11:08):
If I'm shoddy slash ebra flus, how do I approach this?
I'm telling you right now. I'm telling you right now.
If you think for a nano second Cocaine New York

(11:28):
City heartbeat second, that you're going to line up Donovan
Wilson on Trade McBride, you are in for a day.
Yan Ye can't stay with trade McBride. This is one
of those games where you have to might be considering
maybe maybe I take Bland and move him inside.

Speaker 1 (11:49):
The kind of this kid is good?

Speaker 8 (11:50):
Is that good?

Speaker 1 (11:51):
This kid is good?

Speaker 7 (11:52):
Route running? Is it speed?

Speaker 1 (11:53):
It's not speed, it's route running. Its size.

Speaker 6 (11:56):
And they go to him a lot, They go to
him a lot in the middle above the field, and
he oh, like tight end. He actually breaks tackles, get
the yat yards.

Speaker 8 (12:07):
Don't do that. My bad, My bad, My bad.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
But but but Trey McBride, he is. He is the
real deal.

Speaker 6 (12:17):
He's in that conversation of a lot of people. Don't
talk about a month because he's in Arizona. But when
you talk about like the Kittles and the type of
tight ends like in the league, the young and up
and coming tight ends, Uh, Kelsey is the O G.
Right like Kelsey, he's up here, He's the O G
kind of like already solidify itself. But when you look

(12:39):
at what's what's my tighten out of Detroit, I'm blowing.

Speaker 1 (12:42):
A blank with him. Oh Laporter?

Speaker 6 (12:47):
Yeah, Sam like so Sam Laporter, George Kittle like that
level of type tight end that they can kind of
go to think of think of the mind of of
what zach Ertz was early in his.

Speaker 1 (12:58):
Career, where he was just a a target getter. And
that's where.

Speaker 6 (13:04):
That's really really the one that worries me because I
just have a feeling linebackers can't cover him. We don't
have really good cover safeties and so him getting off
in the mix of things can really be a concern
for the Cowboys defense.

Speaker 7 (13:22):
Okay, you want to you know, well, let's take a break.
Take a break, take a break. Don't loseought.

Speaker 8 (13:29):
I won't not on this, I won't.

Speaker 5 (13:30):

what Kurt and Nate have to say right after this, because.

Speaker 8 (15:56):
For those of you ain't.

Speaker 1 (15:57):
Changed, Ope, blood changes, do what I say.

Speaker 5 (16:01):
Don you can figure out, uh the process of elimination,
which live was not reading coming out of the third break.
Those of you that were here at the beginning of
the show, all right, Nate, you and Kurt were both
gonna make points. I suggest you arm wrestle. I didn't, okay,

(16:22):
probably forget before.

Speaker 8 (16:24):
All right, the guys and girls. The reason I didn't
really indulge in the film on our offense. The true
reason is because when I I normally just go look
at overall stats. And I saw in Russian where the
quarterback is the need in Russia that don't work. And

(16:47):
I saw what a wide weather at the wide receivers
normally lead in yardage. I saw a tight end that
Jesse spoke well of. It's nowhere in the world you're
gonna let a tight end come in here and beat you.
Not when you can jam him every play, you can

(17:09):
redirect him every play. If you have to give up
a pass rusher, which we ain't had one in a
couple of weeks, put somebody on him to jam him.
How can a tight end beat us? That is unheard of?
That that, and I know I come from an old
school era that can never happen. A tight end as

(17:33):
a leading receiver. That don't work. So if we come
up here and let a tight end come up in
here and work us like that, come.

Speaker 6 (17:42):
On, man, I'm just I'm just telling you, this is
not This is not your normal block and tight end.
This is this ain't this, ain't this ain't Luke school Maker,
this ain't Brether span for this is this is a
guy over one hundred receptions last year, over eleven hundred
yards last year. This is this is a this this
dude can play. Trade McBride can play. Man, can he

(18:03):
can play? And I get what you're saying, where when
Kyler is at his best, it's yeah, you can jam
him at the line, but can you maintain covering him
for four, five, six seconds? Because in the back of
your mind, especially like depending on what type of coverage

(18:23):
that you're running, if you're running a too high coverage,
you're trying to eliminate Zay Jones or Marvin Harrison Junior
running the deep routes, So that means that your safeties
are going to be lifted. If you decide to go
man the man that I mean, the back's going to
be turned. You can only double so many places.

Speaker 8 (18:43):
Is he their number one target? Yes? Once again, if you're.

Speaker 1 (18:53):
I mean last game he had ten receptions.

Speaker 9 (18:56):
He's leading He has the most targets of any tight
end in.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
The Nflah like he like that. I'm just telling you.
I'm just telling you, man, he is one of the
He is one of the guys that.

Speaker 9 (19:11):
He has sixty six targets in seven games, where Harrison
has got forty.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
And he's a dude like he's a dude, Like he's
the kind of guy he gonna like in that kettle
kettle molde, right, he he gonna get up, he gonna
talk a little mess to you.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
He gonna be hyped about it like he's a dude.
And and and he's a mismatch problem.

Speaker 7 (19:30):
That tight end. University's gone to their heads.

Speaker 5 (19:32):
Huh.

Speaker 6 (19:33):
And there was it was a national title day last Sunday.
So he's like, I can tell you like he's If
there's a dude on the offense, it's Trey.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
He's there. He's that that battery.

Speaker 9 (19:47):
Can you risk bringing Blanding to try to cover him?
Who's won? Tray's bigger?

Speaker 11 (19:52):
But two?

Speaker 9 (19:53):
Then who's carding Harrison?

Speaker 1 (19:54):
And you gotta double them? You got to do what
other teams do.

Speaker 6 (19:57):
The wuss You gotta take you know, or you take
your second best corner and double training Bride and then
take bland and make him follow.

Speaker 8 (20:04):
Around Marl And you misspoke?

Speaker 7 (20:06):
What did you say?

Speaker 1 (20:06):
The second best corner you have?

Speaker 6 (20:09):
I don't know what that looks like, but the second one, whoever,
the next in line is your next let me say this,
your next in line corner you have?

Speaker 1 (20:17):
You have him over trade McBride.

Speaker 7 (20:19):
I I have a question.

Speaker 8 (20:20):
Yeah, I have I have a question. You mean to
tell a statement in a question. You mean to tell
me that there's one dude with a quarterback that played
every other game you gonna come in and beat us.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
No, I'm not saying that they will. I'm saying it's possible.

Speaker 8 (20:43):
Okay, what do you think?

Speaker 9 (20:45):
Yeah, sure, I would say it's possible. I mean, look
at our defense.

Speaker 1 (20:49):
I mean, what what gives you, brother?

Speaker 8 (20:51):
If I gotta put eleven dudes on this tight end,
he should not be the reason we lose this game.
Not a tight and he might listen.

Speaker 1 (21:01):
I'm not saying that he's going to be the reason
you win or lose this game.

Speaker 8 (21:05):
We'll see.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
Come I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (21:07):
I'm saying that when they when the defensive teams the Cowboys,
when they got their playbooks or their iPads whatever they
have now, when they open their eye pads or they
turned them on and they got to the first page
of their scout report, it said Kyler Murray, It's said
Trey McBride, it said Marvin Harrison Junior, Like those were

(21:29):
the three stars up the top of that paper that
you hey, listen, we know, we got to contain Kyler Murray.
If this ain't a week, This is not a week
where you think you can just rush in and out
of lanes that you ain't supposed to.

Speaker 8 (21:40):
Be on a bunch of games.

Speaker 1 (21:42):
It's not the week if you're supposed to be.

Speaker 6 (21:44):
If you if you're supposed to have outside containment, this
is the week that you need to make sure you
have outside containment.

Speaker 5 (21:49):
So my question with Murray and his injury, and I've
always wondered that especially with like mobile quarterbacks and skill positions.
Let's just say mobile quarterbacks like like Jadeen Daniels, right,
miss you miss a game or two or three or
four with a leg, leg, ankle, foot type injury and

(22:10):
at your first game back, My question is one, does
it take you a little bit half a game full
game to get back in rhythm? And two with a
real mobile guy like him with a foot injury, is
he coming back.

Speaker 7 (22:27):
At eighty percent? Is he sitting out till he's one
hundred percent?

Speaker 5 (22:31):
Like is that gonna are you gonna be able to
look at him and tell on the field like, oh yeah,
he's he's a little bit slower.

Speaker 7 (22:36):
Is that something that you get that shot and it's
like I'm good.

Speaker 6 (22:40):
And then think about so to answer your question, I
never saw Kyler as fast, quick as I mean quick
as lightning though. Yeah, right, so if you had to
line him up like, oh he's not fast, but his
ability to move and maneuver in short.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
Spaces, in small space.

Speaker 8 (23:00):
And then like.

Speaker 6 (23:04):
Not to bring up another name, but if you had
another guy who was in Wisconsin, he'd run him down.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
I don't, I don't, I don't know.

Speaker 7 (23:11):
If you have a guy he breaks containment, he's I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (23:14):
If you have a guy up front that you look
at and go, he'll run him down.

Speaker 8 (23:18):
Okay, okay, okay, this is our ninth game, right coming up?

Speaker 1 (23:23):
Uh yeah, three four and one, that's the three four
seven and one is eight.

Speaker 8 (23:28):
Yeah, this is a ninth Listen to this. Listen. Kla
Murray is releading the Cognals rushi with one hundred and
seventy three yards. Come on, you're tight in. It's going on.
Got four hundred and twenty one yards. You gonna let
that come ahead and beat you.

Speaker 6 (23:51):
Come on, man, now, if if you're not assignment sound,
if you're not where you're supposed to be, it can
be a headache.

Speaker 1 (24:01):
Color can be a.

Speaker 7 (24:02):
Headache when you quit man consistent.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
How big of an issue is I've always wondered this too.
He's what five, probably listed at five to ten. He's
probably five eight. He might be five to seven. His
arms look like he's five to four. He's just built funny,
He's always been built funny to me.

Speaker 7 (24:19):
But how hard?

Speaker 1 (24:20):
How big of a deal is it?

Speaker 7 (24:22):
He can't see that well over the line?

Speaker 1 (24:24):
How hard is it with a shifty little guy like that?

Speaker 5 (24:28):
If you're a defensive lineman and you're trying to look
around another six four guy you.

Speaker 7 (24:32):
Can't even see his head.

Speaker 1 (24:33):
It's like, it's difficult.

Speaker 7 (24:35):
And by the time you seem he's probably already in
the gap.

Speaker 1 (24:37):
It's difficult. That's why you must be sound. You must
be sounding what you're doing.

Speaker 6 (24:42):
You're if you're rushing to the quarterback, you have to
kind of rush. You have to have a calculated rush,
like your rush just can't be all wild, willing nilly,
because he's looking for those gaps. He's looking for that
you're outsiding army to be trapped. So I know that's
you don't have out soccer teament anymore. And he's gone.

(25:03):
He is gone, and he has he'll he'll and he's
running that balls out. He's just a little, a little
just quick, you know, lightning bug. And he better than
a ting tink right, not too.

Speaker 1 (25:17):
Yeah, he little, he a little better than a tink
tink and you know, a little thicker than he has
a live arm now like Kyler has a live arm.
Like they're they're getting Yeah, there isn't there isn't like
it isn't like you know, he can get on like.

Speaker 6 (25:36):
His whole career has been built off scrambling, throwing, running, running, running, running, throwing.
That's his whole career has been that good date all
the way back to Allen High School at A and
M at Oklahoma. It's always been get the ball out quick.
When it ain't working, I tucking and I run, or

(25:57):
I'm moving at some somewhere in the pocket where now
I'm getting a better angle to see what the throws are.
And that's the part where I think about tra Quez,
and I think about Kyir and Ready and those guys
sometimes who haven't played as much football think the play
is over because you can't see him anymore, and you relax,

(26:18):
and all of a sudden, he'sn't found.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
He found a little hole to get out of. And
you didn't let your guy go.

Speaker 6 (26:24):
And and Zay and Marvin and all those guys know,
play ain't dead until I hit a whistle because I
know who my quarterback is. That that's sometimes that that
relationship between guys who haven't had many reps facing these
type of players. Now, it's one thing to see a guy,
it's a whole other thing to have to actually be
out there with them. And you have this clock in

(26:44):
your head like, oh, he gotta be down, he gotta
be the next thing you know, he's letting one fly
down the field.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
So this this is two.

Speaker 6 (26:54):
I know it's asking. It's asking this defense to do
something it has not done all year long.

Speaker 1 (27:04):
But you have to tackle.

Speaker 6 (27:06):
You have to be sound in your alignment. You have
to be in your rush lanes. Wherever you're supposed to be,
you need to be there. You have to keep Kyler
in the pocket. Kyler has to beat you from inside
the pocket. If not, he just makes life a living
hell for you because you just can't You can't catch him.

(27:28):
You can't catch him the way that you need to
catch him, because he's just a little bit quicker than
all your guys.

Speaker 5 (27:32):
And he has no problem with the sun if the
sun was gonna be out because he is undefeated at
nine and oh, nine and oh all the way back
to Allen. Yeah, I bet he was fun to watch
in high school.

Speaker 1 (27:44):
It was Chris.

Speaker 7 (27:44):
Did you watch him? Of course I watched high school.
He's amazing.

Speaker 8 (27:50):
I watched his first high school game.

Speaker 1 (27:51):
Did you what are the three three state championships in
a row? Three four in a row, three in a row,
something like.

Speaker 8 (27:56):
That, Amy Smoke South of Lake Carol, Mike, my kid.

Speaker 7 (28:01):

Yes? What else?

Speaker 11 (30:40):
So?

Speaker 1 (30:41):
Are we not doing another one?

Speaker 11 (30:42):
No?

Speaker 1 (30:42):
No, I read that one this week.

Speaker 8 (30:44):
Chris.

Speaker 7 (30:44):
That's right, we got new, better, better. We'll get you
something tomorrow. We're gonna we're gonna make a pick tomorrow.

Speaker 8 (30:51):
On that one.

Speaker 7 (30:51):
But we still love seven eleven, We do.

Speaker 8 (30:53):
We love seven.

Speaker 1 (30:55):
I had a big blue.

Speaker 7 (30:56):
Went last night. I need to do my scratch off.

Speaker 5 (30:58):
You are talking about this last segment, Kurt's stat of
the week from him, and you know he loves PFF.

Speaker 7 (31:07):
They have the Cardinals O line ranked tenth in the league.
Guess what Dallas's record is.

Speaker 5 (31:12):
Against teams in PFF's top twelve, O three and one. Yeah,
coming to town Monday night Live, Coming at you. Are
y'all doing anything special for the game for the broadcast Chris.

Speaker 8 (31:28):
This week?

Speaker 7 (31:28):
Yeah, Monday night. Yeah, the pre and post game show
will be out of stadium. Oh, at the stadium stadium.

Speaker 8 (31:35):
I promise you, I'm to stand up on stage and
tell everybody ain't nowhere in the world.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
And.

Speaker 7 (31:41):
Then you'll be all over social media whenever.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
It's gonna be crazy.

Speaker 6 (31:44):
If you come back here on Tuesday and Trey mc
bride is one hundred and twelve yards.

Speaker 8 (31:49):
Off.

Speaker 9 (31:50):
The offensive line beats.

Speaker 8 (31:52):
The offensive line is physical. I tell's right here. But
they're not gonna take advantage of it. The little fellas
go run around. He's not gonna sit back there and
throw the ball. He is run around. Yes, Yeah, thank you,
love you, my man.

Speaker 6 (32:07):
It's always I'm not always I should say always. This year,
it's been difficult to truly look at an opposing team's
offense and.

Speaker 1 (32:22):
And go, oh, yeah, we can stop this or can't
do this.

Speaker 6 (32:26):
It's just been really difficult because every time I see it,
I'm like, Okay, here's a pathway to victory, here's a
pathway for the defense to do.

Speaker 8 (32:38):
But I don't.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
I'm not playing you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (32:41):
And and every week they've shown unless they're playing a
horrible quarterback type situation, you know, or a team that
doesn't have weapons, that.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
They struggle with that.

Speaker 6 (32:54):
So this is gonna be another one of those weeks
defensively where I don't know what that eber Flus is
going to draw up. This is another This is not
another week to where you want where you want to be.
In a lot of man to man, I'm sorry, you
just don't have the horses. You just don't have as
much as these guys want to go out hands say

(33:16):
they want to play man and.

Speaker 9 (33:19):
But they're getting getting so picked to part and zone.

Speaker 6 (33:22):
Yeah, but the thing about zone is at least I
have enough people around a rally and tackle hopefully.

Speaker 8 (33:30):
But I just men man.

Speaker 6 (33:34):
When I was I don't like saying worry or afraid
because I will be in a comfortable studio, in comfortable clothes,
watching this game, afraid of nothing, scared of nothing. But
what concerns me is when you have to play man
and man. Men on the defense have to turn their

(33:55):
back to go and cover, and this level of quarter
back like who's gonna be your spy?

Speaker 1 (34:02):
If you're gonna spy Kyler Murray, who's gonna be your spy?
But keep up with him? And that's the thing. It's
not that it's one to keep up with them, it's two.

Speaker 6 (34:11):
Are you taking the right steps and read to even
give yourself a chance to catch him? Because I can't
trust Sam Williams, can't trust Kenneth from Oklahoma, maybe Maris
or again, you may have to go to where you're
you're you're kind of playing that star defense where you're

(34:33):
adding a guy like uh uh, Marquise Bell to be
that star linebacker or someone else in there that that
has the agility the ability to kind of.

Speaker 1 (34:46):
Stay with him because when you turn your.

Speaker 6 (34:48):
Back to go back there and cover, you know, linebackers,
you got backs, and somebody got the cover tight end
man the man.

Speaker 1 (34:54):
Now that thing. It opens up, He's gone.

Speaker 8 (35:00):
He is gone.

Speaker 6 (35:02):
We don't we we don't have the luxury of saying
we can go and get it with our front four.
You would love to be able to say that. You
would love to be able to say we can create
enough pressure. We can we can recreate the line of
scrimmage and corral and contain him with our front four.

Speaker 7 (35:17):
We can't even say we can create some pressure, like
it's unbelievable.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
So that that's the part of the defense.

Speaker 6 (35:25):
Is where I'm saying, Okay, you run zone, you know,
you blitz out of that and try to catch Color,
you know, and Color's not the most accurate quarterback in
the world.

Speaker 8 (35:35):
I'm not.

Speaker 6 (35:36):
I'm not going to paint this picture like he's prime
Aaron Rodgers or you know, Matthew Stafford with his accuracy.
He can be very inaccurate as well. He can take
some chances. Kyla Murray, give it up to you, now,
Kyler Murray'll.

Speaker 1 (35:48):
Give it to you.

Speaker 6 (35:49):
He'll he's wild with the ball, so you can get
in it. If you get close to him, you can
create a fumble because he's loose with the football and
a lot of his throat not a lot of them,
But a lot of times he'll get involved in that.
I can make a play, you know, Marvin's down there
somewhere and throw it down there and for it and

(36:09):
leave it up there for you, you know, for these guys.
So there are opportunities that you can get after him.

Speaker 5 (36:14):
Are y'all surprised that the lack of depth that the
Cowboys have right now, especially in the secondary, that they
haven't gone and just brought bodies in like just and
I know DB's don't grow on trees or need to
do safeties, but are y'all surprised that they haven't just
I mean, hey, if you're sitting on the couch, open tryouts,

(36:37):
come on in.

Speaker 6 (36:38):
And yeah, but the guy sitting on the couch at
this point in time of the year ain't probably ain't
too much better than the guys he got out there
in right Like honestly, Like I know people are going
to say that there's the Simmons kid that's a free agent.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
What's the kid's name? Uh, six foot four guy from Clemson.

Speaker 5 (36:55):
Just seems like they usually are bringing a lot of
guys in just the look and you don't really hear
maybe they have and I just haven't heard.

Speaker 6 (37:03):
I mean, they brought some of their guys back. They
brought Justin Justin Simmons. He's a guy that's still out there.
He's not from Clemson, by the way, Guy, what is
he to Clemson? Guy was Simmons as well, but he
was a linebacker.

Speaker 1 (37:19):
It was okay, okay, not the same guy, okay, okay. Yeah.

Speaker 9 (37:25):
Some fans are like, I think Will moves on a
Carolina's practice squad, like you bring him back? Maybe you
know some of the systems is that.

Speaker 1 (37:33):
Mccumb he was a starter for us, right, yeah, for
a game or two.

Speaker 8 (37:41):
But see, the problem is, fellas, everybody's rosters are set,
and if you bring somebody off about his practice squad,
you have to at least start.

Speaker 1 (37:51):
Them for a game or two, right, they have to
be in your active.

Speaker 8 (37:56):
It is what it is. This is the once they
get passed about week three or four, all that changing
and jumping around. Now, if you want quality, you want
to trade for it, You're gonna have to trade for it.

Speaker 7 (38:10):
Justin Simmons is out of Boston College, by the way.

Speaker 8 (38:12):
If you want to know and still acc jess as
Ben has just been great. I mean, I love how
you presented it. I love the things you've said, but
if we let a tight end come in and beat us, brother,
what more can be said?

Speaker 1 (38:30):
I can tell you my start of the day tomorrow
is gonna be y'all.

Speaker 7 (38:34):
I mean, I can tell you.

Speaker 8 (38:37):
The big new now to come in here on Tuesday
morning and say, y'all, guess what tight end beat us?

Speaker 6 (38:43):
I'm through, man, I'm gonna ask ask you how you
want to eat that crow? You want to fried? Please,
don't on the black top. You want on the trigger.
How you want this thing cooked up for?

Speaker 7 (38:54):
Just because we still have hope.

Speaker 1 (38:55):
If we win this game.

Speaker 7 (38:57):
Hope for what, hope to make the playoffs? Just hope.
I didn't say you're gonna make it, but there's hope
you lose this game. It's like there's gonna be some
boring shows from here to the rest of the year.

Speaker 5 (39:10):
No, well, they'll tune in because we're talking about anything
but football.

Speaker 9 (39:15):
I don't Sean Himer in his first year. You were
this first year if they entered the break five hundred,
is that considered the success?

Speaker 3 (39:24):
No?

Speaker 1 (39:25):
No, you were you were you.

Speaker 6 (39:27):
You weren't brought here to be five hundred. Now, with
this offense, you wasn't brought here to be five hundred.
This this is not a five hundred. Let me be
carefulul I say that this you weren't this organization isn't looking,
isn't right, isn't five hundred?

Speaker 1 (39:48):
Historically?

Speaker 6 (39:48):
Yeah, the expectations here where you you know, you were
supposed to come in here with all the vibes and
take this thing.

Speaker 1 (39:56):
You know, because even with Mike mccarthyell go, it was twelve.

Speaker 7 (39:59):
Do you and I know we talk about shoddy and
you know we like what he's doing.

Speaker 5 (40:05):
But do you think if this he's done a good
job of as bad as the defense is, and you've
seen it before where you have one side of the
ball that's just horrendous and then the other side and
it's hard to hold that locker room together and keep
everybody enthusiastic.

Speaker 7 (40:22):
You think he's done a good job. You know, outward
facing to the media, he's doing a great job. He
says all the right things. He's do you think.

Speaker 5 (40:30):
Behind the scenes, is there any if you heard any
rumblings of unraveling or is he doing a good job.

Speaker 7 (40:36):
Of holding the locker room together?

Speaker 5 (40:37):
Because it'd be real easy for this team to kind
of start pointing the finger. And you know, at this
point in the season, as bad as you've been on defense,
has he done a good job as a head coach
and the you know, the personnel part.

Speaker 1 (40:52):
Yeah, don't.

Speaker 6 (40:53):
I've heard anything come out of the locker room where
it's been like, you know, us against them that side
versus this side.

Speaker 1 (41:01):
Yet.

Speaker 6 (41:02):
But if you take an l Monday night, that might change.
But but coach has done a great job with keeping
the conversation about his football team positive and hasn't let
anything come out of the locker room yet where you're
talking about SIDS feuding because.

Speaker 1 (41:21):
It can happen. It can happen, Yeah, like it, it
can for sure happen. And I guess not in a
good way.

Speaker 6 (41:31):
Maybe the saving grace in that was your office didn't
play as well as should have played last week, right,
Like say you can't you can't say that, Like there's
moments where not the Office would have went out against
Denver and put up forty but they lost forty four
to forty. Then it's like, come on, y'all, Like, come on, y'all,
what more can we do to help y'all? Y'all gotta

(41:53):
give us something but the office with out there lay
a stinker. So like right now, everybody on the other
side of the building like, well, we ain't played well either,
they ain't play too well. And then I do believe
that there are there is good leadership from guys like
Dak Prescott who won't let the offensive side quite you know,
bully the defensive side with we better than y'all we

(42:14):
number one, two and three and most of the statistical
categories offensively y'all thirty thirty one, thirty two. So the
leadership leadership is good and and but you can't keep
losing and keep it that way. That that losing losing
breaks at all. Losing losing is is the hammer that
continues to crack at that damn and eventually it just

(42:35):
it just breaks.

Speaker 7 (42:37):
All right, Fellas Tomorrow Predictions Jesse stat of the Week
that when it's.

Speaker 1 (42:43):
Gonna come from a tight end, gonna be a tight end.
I'm telling you that.

Speaker 5 (42:46):
Question is is it gonna be yardage or target reception
based players to watch and new Live reads Chris only
player we need to watch eighty five, trade me ride.

Speaker 8 (43:02):
That's the only player we need.

Speaker 7 (43:05):
And little thick, little thick tink that's the only player
we need to watch.

Speaker 1 (43:10):
No, I ain't say that. That's Nate new and that's
not Jesse Holly.

Speaker 8 (43:14):
Number one, watch number one too, number one, little man,
I ain't worry about no cow Okay man.

Speaker 1 (43:21):
Okay, hees he's gonna do to you what he did
the train.

Speaker 5 (43:25):
That's a good Steff. Hey, good Steff, Kurt, been seeing you. Chris,
thanks for keeping us on the air. Josh, thanks for
keeping it.

Speaker 3 (43:36):
We are he.

Speaker 5 (43:40):
Will be back tomorrow for the extra day, the bonus
day of hanging with the boy.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
This won't change, we out.
