Speaker 2 (03:11):

quick like.

Speaker 6 (03:19):
But you want to know a guy two pumps.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
This dude had a look on his rico'dondle after they
threw that flag on him, and they thought he thought
they were gonna lose that game.

Speaker 6 (03:31):
Yeah, you're talking with the dude that was sick for
I did because.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
He thought he thought I get two pumps, Like, but

pump celebration at eight dudes pumping. That's sixteen pumps right away.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
But it was about it, like that's too many.

Speaker 6 (04:00):
I'll be like Kirk. Kirk got eight kids off of that.

Speaker 3 (04:03):
I told people, I said, Kurt protesting.

Speaker 6 (04:04):

Speaker 5 (04:06):
Who plays that fine, he's gonna be a fine for it.

Speaker 6 (04:10):

Speaker 5 (04:11):
Yeah, of in the lineman like hey, we'll help you out. Yeah,
because he ain't making he ain't making that much.

Speaker 6 (04:16):
He remeal with the possibility of getting six at.

Speaker 3 (04:20):
This point in time, he might be getting it. He
might be, he might be.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
He took the job from Yeah, well that's competition.

Speaker 6 (04:28):
I mean, scum, Oh.

Speaker 5 (04:32):
Little shade, are you doing the gate?

Speaker 3 (04:33):
What are you doing there?

Speaker 5 (04:34):
Out of the gate?

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Let's talk about the is it official?

Speaker 6 (04:40):
We trade? We did?

Speaker 5 (04:41):
We did trade? What are the else? Thoughts on? Uh?

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Logan Wilson from Cincinnati immediate starter right immediately the.

Speaker 7 (04:52):
First after all that talk, I ain't gonna mention.

Speaker 4 (04:56):
No comes in as what probably you're first or second
best player on defense right now?

Speaker 5 (05:03):
Like what do you guys? What are you guys hearing
from about.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Him our integrity guy letter, the long guy.

Speaker 5 (05:11):
Uh that when you have to lead with.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
Intangibles, tells you hold on now, you don't do that because.

Speaker 6 (05:24):
Every time somebody.

Speaker 5 (05:25):
Say, nice, you are a good family.

Speaker 6 (05:29):
Y'all gonna stop.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
This and it's got to mean something because every time
somebody to say, what do you like about that?

Speaker 6 (05:35):
Leadership skills and the fellas together?

Speaker 2 (05:38):
So no, yeah, it's okay, And that's part of you
like about Taco Charles, but he hate the quickest guy.
What do you like about this guy? Yeah, it's our whole.

Speaker 3 (05:46):
Team is made up of when you talk about tangibles
of character before you get to the actual.

Speaker 6 (05:53):
Team is made up of that bro.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
You know what I'm saying now when you you don't
say that about George Pickings, Cede Lamb. You don't talk
about their character.

Speaker 6 (06:00):
To know exactly.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Yeah, there's a difference a dog.

Speaker 6 (06:04):
That's a little bit of dog. Oh this.

Speaker 7 (06:12):
Hang on, breaking news, break what we got They're saying
that the Jets are trading three time Pro bowlers Quinn
and Williams to the Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (06:20):
They just cleaning. Oh, got rid of Saucer?

Speaker 6 (06:22):
Who's that?

Speaker 3 (06:23):
From Tom Tell?

Speaker 5 (06:24):
Sarah, whoa, he knows.

Speaker 4 (06:26):
Oh that's big news for Oh yeah, say some other
random teams.

Speaker 7 (06:33):
Our first round picks looks like.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
How many one?

Speaker 4 (06:37):
There's Josh go down here smiling.

Speaker 6 (06:48):
I gotta go to the wife.

Speaker 7 (06:49):
Shot.

Speaker 9 (06:53):
Hey tell him no tupomp no.

Speaker 3 (06:57):
Get one, you get one, one by one pump Nate
that to ask me.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
About Quintin He can play ball. He's a three tech.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
You get one, you get one pump two pumps to
get you fined Josh, everybody else jump in there. Yeah,
that's no, that's for real.

Speaker 5 (07:19):
How many years you been asking for that?

Speaker 6 (07:22):
Years?

Speaker 9 (07:23):
Thirty years?

Speaker 3 (07:24):
So let me ask you this question because I think
this is this is one of the trades that we
were all looking for, like having to have. Right now,
where does this sit for you when you look at well,
you traded away a player and you got back Kenny, right.
He and Kenny kind of almost play in that same realm.

(07:44):
He Kenny and OsO that's what they playing. That inside
technique is that are you keeping both of those dudes
or are you saying at the end of this year,
because you know older Kenny, no guaranteed money after this year,
you get you let Kenny go.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Sir Kenny and Quinn and keeping Quinning.

Speaker 6 (08:04):
That's what I would do. It's time. Oh my god, there.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
It is Ian Rappaport, same same stuff. Let's go this
defense looks looks better better.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
So this makes this this move now makes the Logan
Wilson trade a little bit better because Logan to me,
as a linebacker, he ain't too far from what the
other guys were that you had the linebacker like, he's
not like, he's not Fred Warner or something like that. Right,
So he's a he's a decent But the fact that

(08:43):
now that you got a guy in front of him.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
That trade Quinn Williams, Baby Williams.

Speaker 3 (08:54):
That that makes now that pick for Logan even better
because you got somebody in front of him that's gonna
potentially keep who is that those offensive linemen off off
of him?

Speaker 5 (09:05):
Who are you calling during the show?

Speaker 2 (09:11):
Took all this right here, to all this right here?
What you get to take a real player?

Speaker 6 (09:19):
Wow? If you don't turn out good, then well then
I'll live with it. Love man.

Speaker 5 (09:25):
Mhmm, what a way to start the show.

Speaker 6 (09:29):
No, I'm only hanging with the boys. Man.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
We will, we will, you will this to happen this
happened on this show because you've.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
Been asking for it for thirty.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
Football gods finally smiled upon Nate Newton after all the
Super Bowls.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
We got a one technique and a three technique. You're
gonna have to play this. He's a three technique. He's
a three technique.

Speaker 6 (09:51):
He is, yes, over the nose any like these?

Speaker 5 (09:57):
So how big you got these two guys now?

Speaker 4 (10:00):
And they may not be done because Jerry said they
were working on a couple of things.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
Right, how.

Speaker 4 (10:07):
Are they difference makers immediately to where you're going to
hold people under?

Speaker 2 (10:13):
How long would it take to get this to jail?
But now you can see the future coming now because
did this kid.

Speaker 6 (10:21):
Care about what the years about? Saying?

Speaker 2 (10:24):
Please look at it's two years. We got us a beast,
he got us a.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
Best first one first round pick. Give me that all
day long. Chris, you have his contract back there?

Speaker 6 (10:38):
Can you pull it up?

Speaker 7 (10:39):
I'm working on four years, nine and nine million, nine million.
That's not right, average annual salary of twenty four million.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
So yeah, he signed a four year, ninety six million
dollar extension in what year he is? So you got
him until twenty twenty seven? Yes, sir, So, twenty twenty.

Speaker 6 (11:01):
Eight, very good use with this kid.

Speaker 7 (11:03):
Man.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
So twenty twenty six, Uh, well, yeah, twenty twenty six,
his base salary is twenty point seven million. Twenty twenty seven,
his base salary is twenty five point four million. Then
he's an he's a free agent in twenty twenty eight,
to get him for two years. For two years now

(11:24):
for the rest of this year, and then two more years,
so twenty six and twenty seven.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
So is that a guy now Ebra Flues can build
around and say, Okay, these are the kind of guys
I want to put around him.

Speaker 6 (11:35):
But just just told you.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Now his cap hit his cap pit in twenty twenty
seven though, thirty point four million.

Speaker 10 (11:40):
Well, the reason why guys, his cap pits so high
is because he has a one point one million dollar
roster per game bonus. So that's what makes his.

Speaker 11 (11:54):
Salary much higher.

Speaker 10 (11:56):
So this year he's making fifteen, but he has a
one million dollar ross per game bonus, so you have
to see how many games don't worry about that?

Speaker 3 (12:05):
And then twenty seven it's only one hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 5 (12:08):
Yeah, exactly one hundred thousand dollars.

Speaker 10 (12:09):
So it's twenty five plus one hundred per game, So
that's only what one point eight million.

Speaker 6 (12:15):
It don't matter.

Speaker 10 (12:17):
So the thirty is probably the pro ration.

Speaker 12 (12:19):
Of of all of it, of what they had to pay.
Jets paid that already, the thirty million, No, the five difference.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
You can figure out all I got you, I got
you matter. You know, overpaid one hundred dudes in this
in this camp. Yeah, and now we.

Speaker 6 (12:36):
Worry about a guy that we know that can ball going.

Speaker 2 (12:39):
No, it don't matter. It just don't matter. If he
come in and beat the guy we know he could be,
it don't matter, It don't matter. Get this guy in here,
get him going. It ain't no ramp up. He's played
every week. Let's play. Let's play.

Speaker 6 (12:58):
I know if he jumped by the gap, you know
how to get back in it. I promise you that. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Yeah, social media teams partying because there's gonna be loads
of social content from that guy.

Speaker 7 (13:10):

Speaker 5 (13:12):

That's big man.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
He's still trying to make sure it's legit.

Speaker 6 (16:04):
Yeah, man, I'm looking at this at the bottom, Doyne
of breaking new Man.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
This is this is This is one of the trades
that we not say we, but Cowboy Nation has been
looking for for years.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
This is probably the biggest trade since Dion signing.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
Sign that kid at the corner back.

Speaker 3 (16:26):
No, they signed him in the free that was the
off season, Okay.

Speaker 7 (16:29):
Right, Pickens was pretty big trade.

Speaker 3 (16:31):
Piggs was a big trade. But I just felt, I
think it's what you've needed. This feels more. I guess
it's I guess recency bias, right is happening right now
and the way that this defense has looked so bad
and we've been looking and asking and begging for that
that girth in the middle that the Cowboys finally, this
feels This doesn't feel cheap, right, This feels quality.

Speaker 5 (16:53):
It doesn't feel like it's a past to pacify, right.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
This feels like a real move, like this is going
to change. He's the fortune of your franchise.

Speaker 5 (17:02):
Pull up his stats, kurt.

Speaker 7 (17:05):
I just had a Pro Football Focus says him as
the number one rated run defender. What say that out
loud among interior linemen?

Speaker 5 (17:14):
Say that out loud again? Number one one has.

Speaker 7 (17:18):
The number one rated run defender among defensive interior.

Speaker 5 (17:25):
Guys in the league.

Speaker 7 (17:26):
In the league overall, he's the seventh rated.

Speaker 4 (17:31):
And now he plays for the Dallas Cowboys, right reportedly.

Speaker 3 (17:34):
So he's in He's in here, please please, We've got
forty five minutes left for the trade deadline. Got the
paperwork again.

Speaker 6 (17:44):
Let us enhance his game.

Speaker 2 (17:50):
Let us enhance his game by putting players around him
that want to do the right thing. This is what
this guy is, linebacker. He is a one to do
the right thing guy. If you ask him to be
in the be gap, he's gonna be in the begap.
Remember what we talked about it both Jesse. This defense
that we just played, they are way where they're supposed

(18:13):
to be and they beat us just like that. They
like Pickens CD. No, if you want to throw it
to your tight end, if you want to throw it
to your running back, we're gonna give it to you.
And you know what, they tricked us on that because
they came up tight on those guys, and so it's
something too discipline, and this is what they're trying to

(18:37):
get the Dallas defense to be.

Speaker 6 (18:39):
Ever since we had the dq.

Speaker 2 (18:41):
Era, everybody's been willing and they're doing what they want
to do, preaching one thing on Monday and Tuesday at
the press conference and then doing what you want on Sunday.
These are two guys I think that are gonna do
the right thing and be where they're.

Speaker 6 (18:58):
Supposed to be.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
I think uh Jesse said refore was getting on there,
and I agree with him.

Speaker 6 (19:04):
The shine is wearing off. It ain't no more saying
the right.

Speaker 3 (19:09):
Thing, oh, Brian Schottenheimer, Yeah, ain't no.

Speaker 6 (19:11):
More saying the right thing. It's time to do the
right thing.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
And if you want to help this coach start getting
players in here. I said it last week and I
almost said it the week before. You you don't have
legit top of the line starters in your secondary for
the Dallas Cowboys.

Speaker 6 (19:34):
You don't have.

Speaker 2 (19:35):
Them, and you're acting your defensive line and your linebackers
to take up all of that slack. That's not fair.
You go out and you get the right players, you know,
or you fix something and now they've taken They've fixed
the front. They making an attempt to fix the middle.
Now you can make it basic for these guys on

(19:58):
the back end.

Speaker 10 (19:59):
I've got some more information on this trade, by the way, guys,
what you got?

Speaker 6 (20:02):
Uh?

Speaker 10 (20:03):
Deanna Russini has reported that the cost is a twenty
twenty six second round pick in Dallas's twenty twenty seven
first round pick.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
So first and a second, but the.

Speaker 10 (20:19):
First is not this year, next year, it's two years
from now.

Speaker 3 (20:23):
Yes, so twenty seven, twenty seven yes, okay, so that's
the one. Okay, So it's ours from twenty seven, two
years from now, gotcha?

Speaker 10 (20:32):
So not this year's gotcha? So we still have basically
this coming draft. First, we still have two picks in
this coming draft.

Speaker 6 (20:40):
How about that?

Speaker 7 (20:40):
Yes, at least Mozzie Smith they did. That's what Pilarissa
Pella Sero.

Speaker 5 (20:46):
And Mozzie Smith.

Speaker 4 (20:47):
Yea.

Speaker 5 (20:48):
Hopefully it changes sceneries. Good for the young man.

Speaker 6 (20:52):
Oka.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
We have a we have two first round picks next
year for at least in or what our cold wheeling
deals for somebody else. Yeah, well, let me ask you all,
this is this a move? You're three and five, three
five and one, right, and this trade I think at

(21:15):
least get your fan base excited for makes it a
little bit easier to swallow that because you now got
two guys on multi year deals that you can start
kind of.

Speaker 5 (21:25):
Okay, this may be that not this year.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Is this a move you think ownership was like, hey,
if we add these pieces now, we're still in it
this year, or are they doing this to build for
next year they go.

Speaker 6 (21:38):
Ahead or both.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
I don't know how much left of this season, because
you you have to kind of go you're three five
and one right now, you probably have to. You gotta
do a large portion of running the table.

Speaker 7 (21:55):
Yeah, you gotta win six or seven in your last game.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
You gotta, Yeah, you gotta. And who you got coming
up and you got to you got a gauntlet coming up, right,
So I think this is one of those moves where
it is for the future, but it had to be done.
It had to be done right now. Yeah, you know
what I mean, Like you couldn't the way that this
defense was going. This was going this is gonna get
real bad.

Speaker 6 (22:16):
And so.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
This was Jerry finally making a move that is considered
a great move in an area that was definitely needed.
But because he has two your left on his contract,
you like to believe that this and in the way
that these draft picks are are are done. You're still
looking at this year, still having two first round picks

(22:39):
this year. Right, so now you're talking about if we're
going all in on defense in this this move should
feel like I solidify my front. Right as Aroku was
starting to he's starting to kind of blossom, and you
start seeing that where they wanted him to be. And
now you take excuse me, you take Osa, Kenny and Quinn.

(23:05):
That's now your front. Now I can go find another
pass rusher opposite of of Asaraku. And then now of
course you get Overshown coming back. Your hopes for him
is that he stays healthy, right coming off two knee injuries,
that he stays healthy. Logan Wilson gives you a decent
linebacker tonight's point, it gives you a steady eddy, right.

(23:27):
He's not a superstar, but a guy who's going to
be steady Eddy line where he's supposed to be able
to get the communication, a studier of the game, Noah's
keys and be where he's supposed to be. And then
now the other guy that you want to add in
there that maybe that's some maybe that's Leah Foul. Maybe
that's another guy that you bring in you know, somewhere else.
And so now you can start looking at you know,
start talking about drafting. You start looking at you know,

(23:50):
that's safety at Ohio State looks very pleasing now, right,
Caleb Downs looks very appetizing now if you're going to
be drafting up there. So you add that to the
mix with the way that this offense is built. Now
you signed CD Lamb, he bring excuse me out, Cede Lamb.
George Pickens, you bring him back on a deal. Now
this team looks a lot different in twenty twenty six.

(24:13):
So I think it's getting some of the pieces in
now so that I can draft the free agent different
and really be like, really be like, we're all systems
go for twenty twenty six.

Speaker 6 (24:27):
What you have done here.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Is set things in motion to get things going the
right way. Things are so bad, I mean, if you
don't have to be a football guy to understand that
the defense is so bad to somebody step to miss
Jones say, we need if we're going to change who
we are, we need to start now. But we can't

(24:54):
go out and just get keep getting old. This guy
old that guy. Then when they got out and got
a player, a player that plays well that is fairly discipline.
Now that lets everybody else know, this is what we expect.

Speaker 6 (25:09):
This is what we're gonna have.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
It don't matter when you start building, but you have
to start building. It's only two ways you can go.
You can let this thing do like it was doing
before we got this, Quinny William, do we just let
it just erode because that's all we was doing weekend
and we just said it was only gonna get worse.

Speaker 6 (25:28):
So now you try to slow that.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Now start, hey, put some russola your mow it trying
to come up. Get this thing going back the other way.
Now you got a linebacker, steady it is you call it.
You're starting to go the other way. So now when
Evra flues our shoddy stands up and say, hey man,
this is what we expect. You can't give a standard
to people that are below standard. Now you can say

(25:53):
this is our standard, this is what we expect. Now
you can start commanding the room up before when you
got a practice squad player saying, hey, the standard is
the standard.

Speaker 3 (26:05):
Come on, Bri and you can also this is just me.
I guess reading tea leaves, listening to Jerry talk to
someone on the want to flip through the fan now
seeing this move that's happening right here for those who
may have wanted Matt Eberfou's flyed, I think moves like
this and how Jerry was talking about, you know, one

(26:26):
of the things he's regrets the most is consistency, not continuity.
Excuse me, continuity consistent kind the same thing about his
DCS right now. There's nothing you could do about dan
Quinn because he went got a head coaching job unless
you're planning on making him the head coach, and none
you can do about that. And then you know Zim
Zim wanted to be the head coach too, and he
wasn't going to coach under you know, the current administration

(26:49):
right now, so he doesn't want to go, you know,
to a fourth DC in four years. So I think
this is also a telltale sign that for some that
may not want it, that Matty even Flus will probably
be your defensive coordinator for the rest of this year
and most likely next year at least.

Speaker 6 (27:11):
You know, when I hear people that know football.

Speaker 2 (27:18):
Ah go to just attacking a coach, you know, and
you can obviously see that the coaches not the issue,
are not the main issue. It kind of frustrates me
because all of the teams that are in the playoffs
and can repeatedly goes to the playoffs, the only way

(27:40):
they change a decordinator offensive coordinator is that they get
ahead coaching job. We just throwing guys out there boom
and woo like. It's like, you know, like the players
deserve better. If you can't never give consistency, even with
your kids, you don't grow up. You don't be a

(28:02):
monster one day then the sweet guy the next day.
You try to find an even ground in their seal.
Kid to see the right things. This this this team
can't build if we get another coordinate, especially in the
middle of the season. Now, if we get one after
the season, we go into the OTA's and he started

(28:23):
laying down the law then and you and you have
to follow that law.

Speaker 6 (28:27):
That's one thing, but just to throw away, dude, who
are you listening to?

Speaker 2 (28:34):
You know, that's probably why a lot of guys can't
keep jobs because they don't they have no consistency, you know,
and I believe in consistency.

Speaker 6 (28:42):
It helps you win.

Speaker 4 (28:43):
It feels like with these two moves today and then
the hiring of Schottenheimer.

Speaker 5 (28:51):
In the off season, it feels like.

Speaker 4 (28:55):
Since I've been here, they're building something right, Like it's
you hired Shchotenheimer. He's a high quality, high integrity guy.
You started the show off talking about Logan Wilson being
you know, him and Quinn Williams are both captains on
their teams or work captains on the teams they came from.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
You're not just bringing in guys just dudes.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
You're bringing in guys that have yeah, respect of their
of their teammates.

Speaker 5 (29:18):
And we're voted captains, right, So.

Speaker 4 (29:19):
You're been you've since I've been here for twenty plus years,
you hear about you know, bringing in the right guys,
and we're trying to build a culture and trying to
build this this is the way you do it, Like
this is a today's statement. Today's like Okay, we've talked
about this for twenty plus years.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
We're put we're we're getting.

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Rid of the collateral, you know where it's not a
lot of handwave and it's like, Okay, you got Schottenheimer,
you got hopefully eber Flus. You allow him another year
to build something, and hopefully, like Nate said, they let
him do something with these pieces they're bringing in and
you're actually building something and you're not super glue and
a bunch of puzzle pieces and they don't all fit.

(29:59):
So it's an exciting day for Cowboy fans. I think
after a not so exciting night last night, do we
even want to talk about the game and we want
to come back and talk about.

Speaker 6 (30:12):
We're gonna come back and talk about bus right.

Speaker 5 (30:18):
All right, let's take our last break. When we come back,
we'll talk about what's right.

Yeah nice, We won't even talk about it last night.

Speaker 6 (33:04):
It's really good.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
The only only disappointment to me in the game last
night was Aubrey didn't make that feel go.

Speaker 5 (33:09):
It would have been good for eighty yards. It was
just off.

Speaker 4 (33:12):
So all right, Nate, the best day of year of
your recent life but just keep going.

Speaker 2 (33:18):
No what.

Speaker 5 (33:21):
He's about to drive to New York to go pick
them up if they.

Speaker 6 (33:25):
Need you know, if they need.

Speaker 3 (33:28):
Guys, and you would be there.

Speaker 6 (33:29):
I promise you'll won't leave you on the porch.

Speaker 3 (33:32):
Yes you will, Yes you will.

Speaker 6 (33:36):
The thing now it.

Speaker 2 (33:40):
Forces other guys to understand when the coach is talking,
you ain't gonna be looking down at your phone.

Speaker 6 (33:49):
You know, you ain't gonna be doing your own thing,
or you ain't.

Speaker 2 (33:52):
Gonna figure out how you're gonna rig your tablets so
it won't work.

Speaker 6 (33:56):
So you can work at.

Speaker 2 (33:57):
However you want. In the meetings, it's about winning and
and that is the only thing I will ever preach,
is about winning.

Speaker 6 (34:09):
And if you have.

Speaker 2 (34:11):
Coaches that have won, that have been good at what
they've done. And I'm not even talking about coach San,
I'm talking about the guys underneath him, has got more
experience them coaching their positions and be and being coordinators.

Speaker 6 (34:24):
When you have done this before, you know what a
player looks like.

Speaker 2 (34:29):
So when you you you talk to each guy according
to his mental and physical abilities. Now he can say,
hey man, we're gonna do this. We're gonna line you
up at this three technique. We're gonna ask you to
shoot this gap and this formation look for this, and
this formation look for that. And the guy just ain't
blown up field with no direction, no purpose. We know

(34:54):
this dude understands formations. What he's looking at sets sit
the game. When when a guy blocked down, I'm gonna
step down and look inside, and if it ain't not
happening real quick, I'm gonna peep outside to make sure
I ain't got a wham, I ain't just gonna continue to.

Speaker 6 (35:09):
Run up the field. Come on, man, all that means something.
That means something. Man, I'm excited.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
I hope this kid bringing that same thunder he brought
with the Jets.

Speaker 7 (35:19):
You know he's gonna be rested. The Jets are on
there by this week. Oh yeah, second straight by.

Speaker 6 (35:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (35:28):
If all you dumb is, that's gonna call it in that.
See if he if he's ramping up, he don't need
to ramp up. He is the ramp. Okay, he is
the ramp. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (35:38):
Is there any as a you know, obviously a great player,
and we'll see what the linebacker winds up being a
you know, a good solid player coming in. Is there
any concerns at all, both of them coming from teams
that have, you know, not a winning tradition.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
For Logan, yes, because Logan, you were on a defense
that was worse than the one that you're coming to
and you couldn't get snaps. They took you off the
field for that one for a rookie, right, for a rookie.
Quinn is a proven commodity. Like even though the Jets
overall have been a bad football team, you go back
and look at the stats, their defense has been one

(36:21):
that has been a pretty good defense. They've always had
a pretty good defense, and he has been one of
the best players on that defense. So for him, it's
like his side of the ball, he held it down
and he was one of the best at what he did.
The Jets just always had a horrible offense. They could
never score it. They were like the reverse of the Cowboys.

(36:43):
It was like, we gotta solid defense, but our offense
turned the ball over, can't score no points. So we
out here a long time and you know, we lose
games that way. So that's the difference between the two
for me, Like I said, Logan, like the logan Wilson
picked now has gotten better because of the guy that's

(37:05):
now in front of him that I know will keep
defrienders off of Like I don't I don't question will
quinnn keep the guards and the centers from getting to
the second level. If he's healthy, I think he'll be
just fine keeping dudes off of him, because you're gonna
now have to double team him.

Speaker 5 (37:20):
He's a guy that gets double teamed every play right.

Speaker 3 (37:22):
Just about like he's one of those type players. So
that makes now a guy like Logan who can diagnose
and will be in the a gap. If he won't
be in a gap, he gonna be an a gap.
Now what happens once you get an a gap, that's
we'll find out. But he gonna be there.

Speaker 2 (37:36):
You gotta understand, Clark was demanding double teams. Everybody else
was singing blocking. Clark was demanding double.

Speaker 3 (37:45):
Team and that was I'm not pushing back on you.
I'm more so saying because everyone else was bad around Kunny,
they were just saying like we're on the same page. Yeah,
Like he wasn't demanding it. They was like, well, we's
gonna take him out.

Speaker 5 (37:58):
We got an extra guy.

Speaker 3 (37:59):
Yeah, we got a extra we we ain't worried about
the rest of these guys doing nothing one on one.
So the one guy who can do something, let's just
eliminate him. And now see these other guys can't beat us.

Speaker 2 (38:08):
Keyword, the one guy that can run something. You see
what I'm saying, that's just that's just smart football. That's
just smart. You are number ninety five. You are the best. Now,
whether you're the best in the league don't matter. You
are the best of this group. We're gonna take you
out of the game. And that be saying the same thing.
You know, I was just more, a little more, I

(38:29):
guess demanding in.

Speaker 5 (38:30):
What I'm saying, but a little nicer.

Speaker 6 (38:33):
But you gotta think.

Speaker 2 (38:34):
Now, if you have a weak center, but you still
got Quinnie over here, you gotta make a decision. You
got a weak center, you you gotta make you still
gotta say okay. Now, number ninety five still got some
juice to him. So it's we're gonna double right here.
We're gonna make sure we get over here with Quinny.
So I'm excited about that. Now that'll bring Olsa into

(38:59):
a row rotation. Now he had either they gonna they
put him out at an end. Now he's gonna have
to learn. This is how you play the position. This
is how you play the position with a purpose. Three
techniques and one technique normally have depending on what the
defensive coordinator won't has a purpose and everything they do

(39:22):
either eat up blocks or if you're good enough, you're
a playmaker. And that is what this kid is. He
demands double team blocks, run and pass because he is
a playmaker.

Speaker 7 (39:38):
Wasn't that a supposedly part of Iberfluss's scheme was he
relied on that.

Speaker 2 (39:44):
If you got to put that four man line is
coming to effect now, like he said, you got the
young Donovan and whoever else at the other end, you
got number ninety five and you got Quinny. Now this
four man line coming into effect. I'm not gonna say
what our secondary is gonna do.

Speaker 6 (40:04):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (40:06):
For all of these people telling you what the coach
should do with and without these players, these guys and
a lot of them, probably will never speak to me
in life. But this is what I see. These guys
are not starters. We keep falling prey to that these
guys are starters. A lot of these guys have been

(40:26):
released off of teams, are traded to us.

Speaker 6 (40:29):
Who could have been great depth. These are not starters.

Speaker 2 (40:34):
So we have to go another eight games before everybody
starts saying, hey, you know.

Speaker 6 (40:38):
What, y'all, these ain't starters.

Speaker 2 (40:41):
I'm telling you now, they're not. That is what it's about.
We're playing with guys and Jesse tell me I'm wrong?

Speaker 6 (40:50):
Is I'm wrong?

Speaker 3 (40:51):
No, you're right.

Speaker 9 (40:54):
You.

Speaker 2 (40:54):
So when you hear guys on shows saying this guy
is and this guy that we are plugging a hole,
we are trying to stop the bleeding. They what they
are looking for most and foremost, what coaches are looking
for right now. Who is going to play within the system?
Who is going to try to play within the system.

(41:16):
That's what they're looking for while they rebuild this team,
whether you want to say it ain't a rebuilding, it's
a quick fix while they're rebuilding this team. And my
hat's off once again for now, because it's two ways
you're gonna rebuild. You can't either let it e road
all the way around you like we were doing, or
we can go out and make a move like this

(41:38):
that starts to turn the people into the right direction.

Speaker 8 (41:42):
I just believe that, m all right, going huh, let's
keep it going on when's it? When's the dead line
over three eastern or central?

Speaker 6 (41:55):
So we gotta let me preferce what I've said. Please
let me prefer that said. The bleeding is slashing is
not over, y'all.

Speaker 2 (42:03):
Okay, this one guy, this one guy, even though he's
got that ability, he can't cover the whole field. He
cannot cover the whole field. I'm telling you, this one
guy cannot cover the whole field, all right.

Speaker 6 (42:18):
I mean only Dion could cover only a third of it.

Speaker 5 (42:21):
So will you.

Speaker 4 (42:25):
Will there be a noticeable difference in the defensive performance
with the addition of these two guys, or is it
gonna be a slow build?

Speaker 6 (42:34):
It's gonna be a build. I just told you can't
cover everywhere.

Speaker 3 (42:38):
They get a life practice game on the seventeenth or right, they.

Speaker 5 (42:43):
Understand you get to ease into it a little bit.

Speaker 2 (42:46):
I give you example. They're right there in our division.
It's called the Washington Commanders. They got a nice dude
in number ninety four. And you're not gonna just pound
up in there. But guess where they're attacking now for Washington.
Every time he's just told us that just eating up
their edges, She's eating up the Edges. Now this last
game they play, you got eating up the Edges.

Speaker 3 (43:08):
It's gonna be interesting. Gonna s Bill Man as you
got because after after the Raiders you have you have
Philly Chiefs Detroit. So Detroit, that's gonna be this is
like you get you get a His ramp up game.

Speaker 6 (43:24):
Is just one. It's Vegas.

Speaker 3 (43:27):
There's this ramp up game.

Speaker 6 (43:28):
Eat around.

Speaker 3 (43:29):
Yeah, there's a ramp up game. And then it's and
then you gotta go. Then you gotta go to work.

Speaker 2 (43:34):
I love Detroit because Detroit said, Okay, y'all got this dude.
We're gonna test him. We're gonna try and see. Detroit
ain't scared to try you. Now you may get made
hit in the head for trying you, but Detroit gonna
try you.

Speaker 4 (43:47):
Well, thank you, mister Jones for getting us through the
end of the season and have something to talk about, because.

Speaker 3 (43:52):
It always does.

Speaker 4 (43:53):
We were worried after last night. We thought we were
gonna be talking about Steven A. Smith the whole show.

Speaker 3 (43:58):
You wonder why so many people getting to the content
creating covering the cowboys, because the man upstairs, he's always
going to give you an The other man upstairs Jesus
is first. Let me get that he clarified on. Let
me clarify. The man upstairs in this building, in this building,

(44:19):
he gonna make sure that it's always a story going
on around this team. That's why we always gonna be
able to You know, it.

Speaker 6 (44:27):
Ain't Nick Buckets.

Speaker 2 (44:31):
I love it, like you said that soft he's Jesus,
that guy upstairs, he always thinking, you know.

Speaker 5 (44:37):
Well, he finally gave us what we've been asking for
for years. This cowboy face, big greasy, he's.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Sexy, He's sexy, sext.

Speaker 4 (44:51):
Greasy, sexy. Alright, Oh man, this was a good show.

Speaker 3 (44:55):
This was fun.

Speaker 5 (44:56):
We got to break some news on the show for once.

Speaker 9 (44:58):
Good stuff.

Speaker 4 (44:59):
Yes, listen to hang Boy one, go Kurt, what's your
guy's name?

Speaker 5 (45:04):
Jesse Bred with the sign thank you so much?

Speaker 7 (45:07):
Boy.

Speaker 3 (45:07):
So let's see cuts by Jones.

Speaker 5 (45:10):
Stay tuned.

Speaker 4 (45:11):
We got an hour and fourteen minutes left to free agency.
See if something else happens before we come back on tomorrow. Chris,
thanks for keeping us updated on the breaking news. Josh,
thanks for keeping him company and only keeping it to
one pump.

Speaker 5 (45:24):
No flags on this show. We'll be back tomorrow. See
what else happens. On Hanging with the Boys.

Speaker 1 (45:30):
