Head coach Brian Schottenheimer said changes could be coming to both the teams's scheme and personnel. But what changes? Are there better options available? Plus, with a new coordinator, new scheme and no preseason action for the starters, shouldn't we have known the defense was going to struggle out of the gate? Also, is George Pickens ready to step up and be a movable piece in the offense?

Oh.

Speaker 4 (01:59):
I was went on her, but when he passed, I
jumped off, jumped off the ship.

Speaker 7 (02:04):
I became a fairweather guy.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
You just appreciate bo Lawyers, Rainbow Warrior. Yep, you just
you just appreciate greatness, don't you?

Speaker 7 (02:12):
Every time?

Speaker 4 (02:13):
I am not the guy. I don't do underdogs. You know,
in the wood could have shutters.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
You were an underdog.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
No, on, I've never been an underdog. I was a
controlled underdog because even coming out of college, I could
have went to in in major college, you name it.
I had scholarship office, you know, I chose to go
to Florida and them yeah, bru, I mean come out

(02:42):
of high school you got yeah, yeah yeah.

Speaker 6 (02:44):
Man, come on now, now, weren't you an underdog that
like make it in the league and then make the Cowboys.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
No, no, these folks knew. These folks knew. They're like, man,
we need to save some money. That dude right there,
he can play. Yeah yeah that no funk, dude, yeah fun.

Speaker 7 (03:04):
Go to that field. Thank reverting back to that as,
I love.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I love when they getting folk knew, bro, when they
getting certain moldes get out the way.

Speaker 3 (03:14):
Let's let it it, let them let them go.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
And I want to apologize from yesterday. Well, I just
attacked the defense and attacked the defensive line mainly. I
take part of that back. I spoke with one hour
defensive back. I'm like you, Jesse, if I'm not really
understanding something, you know, because I'm thinking everything that's over
thirty yards a lot of times the defensive line.

Speaker 7 (03:39):
Should have got there.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
Because we talked about the three second average and talking
to it.

Speaker 7 (03:44):
I can't think of the guy that desk the camps.

Speaker 9 (03:46):
I can't.

Speaker 7 (03:47):
I don't know why.

Speaker 4 (03:48):
Danny mccraig, thank you, he said, Nate, he said, a
lot of those times it's blown coverage. And when it's
blown coverage, you d line don't get to make a
move because.

Speaker 7 (03:57):
The ball already cold. So yeah, so I take back
a little bit.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Uh, but I still think that our defense line is
disappearing a little bit too much during games.

Speaker 6 (04:07):
I really do call us eight eight eight eight five
five two two nine seven.

Speaker 3 (04:11):
We want to hear from you.

Speaker 6 (04:12):
Are you jumping off the ledge yet after week three?

Speaker 7 (04:18):
Are you?

Speaker 3 (04:19):
Uh, you're hanging in there and got some hope.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
So we want to know, and does this go as
a light green off green or is it a green
at all?

Speaker 3 (04:30):
It's kind of a blue green blue green. It's more blue,
but it's easy on the eyes. It is. It is
always I.

Speaker 10 (04:40):
Got on let him know the first time, bringing him
to the dark side.

Speaker 7 (04:52):
Boy club.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
Club shape shape, We all right, what about y'all do y'all?
I used to be the guy that, like.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
Didn't you know, always rooted for the guy at the top,
the guy that was the best to kind of fall
and you know, rooting for and then the older I'm
getting and the more I'm involved, you know, the more
I was around football and this team and realizing just
the little bitty things that the people at the top

(05:28):
do and the ones like Jordan and Brady, and hearing
the people that knew him, and hearing the stories of
how like obsessed they were, and like, you know, the
stories you don't hear out in public, but the little
things you hear, and just knowing like you have to
be a little bit of a maniac to be.

Speaker 3 (05:47):
The best at whatever you do.

Speaker 6 (05:49):
Like I appreciate it now, Like I like, I'm like you,
I appreciate greatness I do.

Speaker 4 (05:54):
Man, And and last night, Man, when I saw Henry
do that second fumble last night helped lead to a
loss with the Ravens, I'm saying to myself, this dude
attack heels and work out and about his craft more
than more than a lot of people. And then to
see that happen to him again, I feel for him now.

(06:17):
But I've been the average blows Joe dude. I was like, man,
come on, Man, get over there.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
I've never seen his face like really show emotion.

Speaker 7 (06:25):
Yeah, that was a hurting thing, and so you know,
but Jess, how do you feel?

Speaker 1 (06:31):
Are you that type of guy? Because I love greatness.
I love greatness, man, greatness. I will always cheer for greatness. Yes,
I'll never get tired of greatness. That's where like we
get tired of so and so and so, and mean,
what a greatness is the.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
One that's whooping you get better?

Speaker 6 (06:45):
Yeah, I still appreciate because you used to go out
and watch was it Montana?

Speaker 7 (06:50):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (06:50):
Anytime y'all played them, you go out.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
I never saw down in any game. I never you know,
I said, well, I'm out to sacrifice. I ain't have
but seventy players and say gonna cofee about six. I'm
gonna be good for sixty five watching no same thing.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
I would be a certain games we go to certain players,
you know, right the moss out there, I'm watching. I
want to see I want to I want to see
the I want to see the greats. Yes, man, you
know when you're in a position to watch them up
closer personal. That's why I got to tell you guys before,
like I'll watch film and it don't even be a team.

Speaker 11 (07:24):
We playing certain guys. I'm stopping down. I'm I'm gonna
watch a few.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Players of that guy, because I'm like, I just appreciate greatness,
but I don't want us to bury the lead. Cowboys
had two significant losses. Yeah, come about yesterday, uh two
high ankle springs, And I think that's major your right, rookie.

Speaker 7 (07:46):
Soul snatcher and Tyler Booker soul snatch.

Speaker 1 (07:50):
Four to six weeks ceedee lamb out they said two
to four weeks, but maybe six weeks. That's a major
to this football team. Like a major blow to this
football team. And I don't want to be the guy.

(08:10):
I'm not I'm not a hater, but we're gonna see
just how number one George Pickens really is. Like this
is your time to show, this is your time.

Speaker 7 (08:19):
To show us.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Go get your money, to go get your money to
show the world that this is what it is. But
I look at it and I go when we had
uh CD in the maybe's, Now you got George and them,
you got George Pickens, and.

Speaker 11 (08:35):
George got George and got George and them. I don't like.

Speaker 1 (08:43):
The maybe's or the and ms are the same, they're
the same people, the people. But I just felt like
when it was CD in the in the Maybe's with
CD lead and the maybees. It just felt different than
I feel right now with George leading the Aims.

Speaker 3 (09:02):
Do you feel that way? Do you guys feel that way?

Speaker 1 (09:03):
Like, oh yeah, you feel more confident with it with
CD and the Maybies versus George and them.

Speaker 6 (09:10):
Yeah, because I think you're still trying to figure out
at this point what is who is George Pickens on
this team.

Speaker 4 (09:15):
I don't think they're trying to figure out I am.
I think they know right and I agree.

Speaker 7 (09:20):
With you, you.

Speaker 4 (09:21):
Know, as fans, a lot of fans trying to you know,
the first week, Jesse got you know, I don't do
this here, so but the people that talk to me,
I got just many people coming at me because I'm
defending CD too and what happened in that first week.
And uh now, when I saw for myself when CD

(09:41):
went out and I'm seeing certain routes not being performed
to their best because I'm comparing them to CD, I'm saying, whoa,
it's wow, he don't look right well. They said this
week he had They say, you know, they say that
he should be right with the routes.

Speaker 7 (09:59):
And I ain't talking about the coaches. I'm talking about
just a typical fan.

Speaker 12 (10:02):
Right, like knowing the routes or how to run the routes.

Speaker 7 (10:04):
Or every Jesse would preach to us all the time.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
It's two ways to run routes, and it's to run
the routes within the system and run.

Speaker 7 (10:14):
Them correctly, correctly, but.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
More importantly knowing where to be with that route at
the right time. It is a lot goes into route running.
A whole lot more goes into rock running than what
people think. And that's why some guys can be here
Danny Ammadola and couldn't function in this deal and went
right to the New England Patriots and was a superstar almost,

(10:39):
so you know, and now coach is saying, okay, this
is what and Jesse been telling us he runs for
good routes he runs and he tell us every week
that this route, this route, this route. Well, now we're
going to extend those routes and we're gonna ask him
to be here and be there, and we're gonna ask
him to go in there and get this smoke.

Speaker 7 (10:59):
We're gonna find that.

Speaker 1 (11:01):
And you know, if nothing is more indicative of and
maybe this is consistency, maybe is an absolute coincidence. In
the last two weeks, CD excuse me, George Pickens has
these exact same amount of targets, has the exact same
amount of catches, has the exact same amount of yards

(11:23):
for the same amount of percentage like identical, Yes, identical.
So it was like he runs a core number of
routes and that's where they connect with him on those routes.
So it's gonna be very interesting to see this week
how they approach this because now you can't be just
the outside guy if you're the number one, because this offense,

(11:47):
the number one guy is.

Speaker 11 (11:48):
A movable piece. It's not like when we were coming
up where the X right, the.

Speaker 7 (11:54):
X was dude.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
He lined up on the ball, wanted all the smoke,
and the offense ran through the X. He was the
first option whatever side he was particularly on. Now, in
today's modern you know play calling, the X now becomes
the guy in the slot. That that guy in the
slot now the movable guy has become the guy that

(12:18):
everybody looks at as the number one. So you line
up outside sometimes you line up in the slot. You're
the motion guy. You're the guy motion and into the formation,
out of the formation, across the formation. This is the
guy who runs all the different routes, and George has
had the luxury with Ceedee Lamb being here of being
just kind of basically an outside type of guy to

(12:39):
where now I want, I'm curious, I will be watching
in this upcoming game how Brian Schottenheimer plans on using
him and and and how it works and the trust
that he and Dak presscott because they're they're still building
that chemistry. They're still trying to figure out, you know, when,
where and how this has to happen in the in
the offensive scheme. And then now how do I have

(13:01):
the other guys come along, whether that's Flora Noy or
Tobert or Turpin, one of those guys gonna look like
in this passing game, because it's still gonna be relied
heavily on the pass game. Now that you eliminate Ceedee
Lamb from that mix, you're talking about your offensive line you.

Speaker 3 (13:16):
Got you've lost, they lost two guys in your offensive line.

Speaker 1 (13:20):
We start talking about what Javante was able to have
success in the running game due to light boxes, meaning
there aren't there four or five guys in the box,
you know, six guys in the box. So now because
you had to play covers behind because you had Ceedee
Lamb and George Pickens on the outside. Well, now you
don't have Ceedee Lamb. Are you adding that seventh guy
to the box? Eighth goy to the box? And now

(13:43):
those offensive linemen have to sift through that and figure
it out. And Javonte, what does those running lanes now
look like? Because they're gonna say if I was a
defensive coordinator, dat on Tobert Ryan illinoy beat me. You
have to beat me today. You gotta beat me. And
if you're able to do this can to Lee. We
tip our cap and we going with our loss.

Speaker 4 (14:03):
You have one guy that can consistently get down field
with the with the with the quickness, and that's that's
number that's number nine. That's Cavante. He is that one guy.
But more importantly, what Jesse is saying is now, as
as offensive coordinated, will you really even though we got
two new offensive.

Speaker 7 (14:22):
Line will you really make this run a priority.

Speaker 4 (14:27):
To be able to go back to the play action
pass that we know Dak can can deal with. Because
that same thing that irritated Dak by not having those
two good receivers is back.

Speaker 7 (14:38):
It's back.

Speaker 4 (14:39):
They gonna they can flood zones on us. Correct, So
all of this is back and not peeping into tomorrow
because we got Green Bay's defense.

Speaker 3 (14:51):
This is different.

Speaker 4 (14:52):
You play Philadelphia, which has a nice defense minus ninety eight.

Speaker 11 (14:57):
Which makes a world of difference like now having him.

Speaker 7 (15:00):
Yes, is.

Speaker 11 (15:03):
It's different. I'm just saying it's different.

Speaker 7 (15:05):
Don't don't fool yourself.

Speaker 4 (15:09):
The Giants is a great defense, they just have nothing
to go along with that defense. The Bears is a
nice defense. But this thing we let go up out
of him. Yeah, that transform a coming boy in a
many different way when we go to talking about that tomorrow.

Speaker 6 (15:27):
Are you kind of forced this week for the next
few weeks to set everything up with the run and
the tight end, quick quick throws, get them coming down
into the box and then try to take the top
off with Cavante or.

Speaker 7 (15:44):
Or ain't no top off.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
They ain't giving that to you.

Speaker 7 (15:47):
They ain't no tops offt Bro.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
It's gonna be just like like Ferguson had thirteen catch
right for eighty something yards.

Speaker 11 (15:54):
They're saying, they'll say you can have that all day.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Take the they have a six yards of catch. They said,
that's where you want to go all day. Be my guess,
you'll get a holding penalty, You'll get something and you'll
bring it back and you'll be forced to and then
you'll have.

Speaker 3 (16:10):
To your defenses.

Speaker 11 (16:11):
They're giving that us. They're they're they're they're not given.

Speaker 12 (16:14):
How do you There's no way to beat that, like
use turping speed somehow.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
Athletes, You need players, you know what I mean. And
that's and that's the difficult part because we heard Brian
Schottenheimer talk about it in multiple different platforms about how
his play calling sheet. You know, he said, my play
calling sheet, you know, we got a section for CD LAMB,
we got another section for those sections are different. CEDD
LAMB section is a lot bigger. Piggot section is a

(16:41):
little smaller. So if that tells me that turping section
is smaller and Jalen's sects is smaller and Florida has
got to be the size of a business card, you
know what I'm saying. So now like that that CD
section all of a sudden, don't open up to everybody.
That's the part I'm talking about. That part, don't open
up to everybody. You might be able to be like, Okay,
what can I decipher from this?

Speaker 3 (17:01):
Out of these twelve. You know you can do three,
six and eight, so like, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (17:06):
And then it's like, all right, well, how do we
how do we expand this section for George? And again
you start looking at other guys that you always you
always hear the you always hear the conversation about, you.

Speaker 11 (17:16):
Know, next man up, next guy has to step up.

Speaker 1 (17:18):
But again it's always talking about you know, and we'll
maybe talk about this in the next segment, but you know,
I have a feeling about Shottenheimer when it comes to coaching.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
Let's do that.

Speaker 1 (17:30):
Let's take a break, and then we come back if
we don't have any phone calls.

Speaker 3 (17:33):

say injury creates opportunity. Let me talk about it. Let's

Speaker 3 (20:21):
We'll get down. I want to hear what you have
to say because it was a good conversation.

Speaker 6 (20:24):
But right now on the phone, welcome to the show,
our good friend Anthony from Miami.

Speaker 14 (20:31):
What's up?

Speaker 10 (20:33):
Believe it?

Speaker 15 (20:35):
Man, Look y'all, it was great what y'all was saying.
I'm not even gonna talk like football and talk from
a fan's perspective as far as how I feel about
this on what's going on. I go from Saturday night
off to the stadium watching my college team getting number
two Lank, great game, great defensive game, to what I
saw Sunday. Bro, I don't, I don't. I've never been

(21:02):
like this, y'all know me, man, I'm positive, I'm animated.
I saw a lot of things, Bro, I saw a
lot of things. I see guys stealing money. I'm gonna
call him to Sam Williams, Dante Foller, definitely stealing money.
Give it back, Bunley Cookers, Wilson. I gave them grace
in game one because whatever defense, and I guess it

(21:24):
was a cover too. And I guess they played two
D and played back and now you're playing one and
now one of them really can't cover. So what's going
on from that game to this game or the Giants
game that's doing this. It's insanity to keep doing it.
They can't play, they can't play, call something else, do
something else. Man, It's sickening because the offense has to

(21:44):
be perfect, God has to be perfect. As soon as
they mess up. Soon as they fumbled, which they shouldn't,
but soon as they do it, even if they put
up thirty points, they're gonna get to blame because you
gotta cover up all these wards back then.

Speaker 8 (21:59):
Man.

Speaker 15 (22:00):
Kind of embarrassing, man. And like I said, gods are
still the money to me. You know, I just don't
see the effort on downfield blocking. I don't see effort.
And I've never really said that, man. It's just this
is ridiculous on the whole defense. You can't put no
you can't do nothing to put no pressure shop man, right.
So I'm coming from that perspective. Man. We gotta go
to in one in the next three For me, the

(22:22):
most optimistic call of y'all probably got on any of
these shows over the last three years to have faith
this year, man, because I don't see it unless you
fix that. With all the injuries out, that's gonna hurt us.
So everything's gotta be close to perfect.

Speaker 6 (22:36):
Man.

Speaker 15 (22:37):
So that's all I really want to say. Fellas, still
go cowboys, Cowboys for life long.

Speaker 6 (22:41):
Appreciate you, brother, Thank you, man, Go on your damn
man he is go get you.

Speaker 11 (22:47):
Just walk down South Beach for suc Just pick me.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Up, walk down Collins and just look around. I'm not
saying you gotta touch anything down. It just looks that
that should that should bring your spirits up. It's still
good up right. I never heard him like that.

Speaker 6 (23:03):
What So to his point, Kurt, you're putting the note
shot he said, they'll be making scheme and personnel changes
on defense.

Speaker 3 (23:12):
What what does that even mean?

Speaker 12 (23:17):
Have somebody better in the wings if so want?

Speaker 3 (23:20):
Did it take the week before to do it?

Speaker 2 (23:22):
Like?

Speaker 3 (23:22):
What?

Speaker 15 (23:22):
What?

Speaker 3 (23:23):
And you said, this is as simple of a scheme
as you can.

Speaker 11 (23:26):
Get, like cover two, Like, I don't know, what do
you do?

Speaker 3 (23:29):
Go to man?

Speaker 7 (23:30):
You got to have better players better man?

Speaker 8 (23:33):
Right?

Speaker 7 (23:35):
No, No, then you.

Speaker 1 (23:36):
Last week Cala Williams had three point seven seconds of
throw and was damn there perfect when you blised.

Speaker 11 (23:41):
Them last week Caleb was that. That was Caleb Williams.

Speaker 4 (23:46):
One and a half reads, one and a half reads.
So coach mad at him still today?

Speaker 3 (23:51):
What he mean? What does he mean? I mean, what
does that even mean? Is that just coach speak?

Speaker 1 (23:56):
This is coach and this is this actually goes into
the point that I kind of I want to talk
about one. Let's take another another call.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
You want to think about it?

Speaker 11 (24:07):
No, I know what I want to say, but I
don't want to.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
You don't to kill the show, all right, chrisy, We
got all right.

Speaker 3 (24:15):
I don't have to get a song for Anthony. I'm
gonna do one, a sad one. It's gonna be a
sad I think I should do country or the way
he was down there, Yeah, like his dog. Just try, man,
we got it, I got you. Okay.

Speaker 7 (24:32):
Let's let's go to Levy.

Speaker 3 (24:34):
He's in Fatteville, Arkansas. Let's see if you can pick
up the ship bill fly from Dixon Street. Levy.

Speaker 7 (24:39):
What's up, boy?

Speaker 16 (24:44):
You gotta go.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
You gotta take us off. Speaker, man, have you got
this old speaker? Gotta take us?

Speaker 15 (24:50):
All right?

Speaker 14 (24:51):
Cool?

Speaker 3 (24:51):
Not better again?

Speaker 2 (24:53):
Yeah?

Speaker 14 (24:56):
I just want to say I love Jesse Hollidy Nate Newton,
but Shannon Hill Gross and Kurt three Pumped Daniels don't
get enough love. I wake up every morning wondering what
Kurt three pumped Daniels is going to do that day,
and how can I be more like him?

Speaker 6 (25:09):
But I gotta hang with the boy question.

Speaker 7 (25:11):
Keep your hips loose, yeah.

Speaker 11 (25:12):
Keep it.

Speaker 14 (25:16):
I gotta hang with the boys question. I've been listening
for about three years now, and I still haven't figured
out what y'all mean by Jesse and the trailer park.
I'm gonna hang up and list it because I need
to know what Jesse and the trailer parks actually.

Speaker 7 (25:30):
Well, let Jesse explain it.

Speaker 3 (25:32):
Thank you for the car. That's a great call, man.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
We appreciate you. This no me and the trailer parks.
It's just that's where I go to get stress relieved.
You gotta go down to the trailer parks where.

Speaker 7 (25:45):
It get you know, is it trailer number seven or eight?
Is it kind of like when you go to seven and eleven.

Speaker 11 (25:51):
All the even numbers.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
Four, six, eight, all the two forty shorties down at
the trailer parks.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Man, we have a good time down there.

Speaker 10 (25:59):
Man.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
When that when that, when that trailer get the rocking.
Don't come a knocking.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
Anthony needs to go get Yeah, come on, let's go
down to the trailer.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
Go get your some self esteem.

Speaker 1 (26:11):
Yeah, going down to the trailer, parks man, all it
take is a bucket of extra crispy.

Speaker 6 (26:15):
There you go.

Speaker 4 (26:16):
But you gotta this this This young man has been
coming on with just hype, hype, always positive, no matter
what player. And he called out that on a truck
bank robbery, on a couple of players. That's what kind
of shook shipped me. I'm like, oh, yeah, you must be.

Speaker 6 (26:32):
And what shocks me about that is he saw this
defense at the beginning of last year. He saw this
defense in twenty twenty. Yeah, so he should be insulated
against terrible defenses.

Speaker 4 (26:45):
You know, he he drunk the koolid No, no, you
point he drunk the coach Shardenheimer. I'm telling you he
did a master for job from the day he was
hired up until the last two games of selling the fans,
the media and everybody that this team could be something special.

(27:09):
And I'm not counting it out that it ain't gonna
be something special by the end of the year.

Speaker 7 (27:13):
But my friend, you that was New York and that
was the bad Wait.

Speaker 6 (27:20):
By the way, the news came out today, Russell Wilson
has been bitched Jackson dark one week?

Speaker 7 (27:27):
Is that a management call? Is that is? Do you
think the coach has something?

Speaker 1 (27:33):
He's been awful? Is there owing three? He's been awful
at playing football?

Speaker 3 (27:36):
Last week?

Speaker 1 (27:37):
They had a series last week Russell Wilson when they're
on the goal line trying to go on the score,
he throw four incomplete passes and they're not even close
to anybody. You're like, dog this at this point in time,
throw it to somebody. It's fourth down. You throw it
out of bounce so and and and the fans y'all
think I'm harsh or I'm I'm whatever.

Speaker 3 (27:57):
You go up north, you'll go north.

Speaker 7 (28:00):
This is a very yes, low key friendly media.

Speaker 6 (28:06):
By design, by the way, it's been designed this way,
and it's a very southern, tame, hospitable media.

Speaker 1 (28:15):
They'll talk about your mother up north, yeah, and won't care.

Speaker 4 (28:19):
You know, you can sneak out on curfew here in Dallas,
but you ain't sneaking out in Philadelphia.

Speaker 7 (28:25):
You ain't sneaking out of New York.

Speaker 3 (28:27):
They tell you to go home and get bed and
call and.

Speaker 7 (28:30):
Be calling it late night.

Speaker 4 (28:31):
Hey ma, just so big news falling out of under,
trying to crawl out, but he failed.

Speaker 3 (28:38):
All right, let's take our last break.

Speaker 6 (28:39):
We'll take a couple more calls and we'll we'll see
why Jesse's being so timid with what he wants to say,
because it sounds like.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
He's gonna wreck the media. Timid. Never find out.

Speaker 6 (28:50):

gas out of gas tallers ticket will Chris, Let's take

(31:44):
one more before Jesse kills the show.

Speaker 3 (31:45):
Who we got? We have Josh and Maryland Josh, what's up?

Speaker 15 (31:51):
Hey?

Speaker 16 (31:51):
We're going on Fambas Shannon, Nate, Shark, Jase.

Speaker 1 (31:56):
But good brother, Hey brother, how you doing on this Tuesday?

Speaker 16 (32:00):
That's and I can't complain. I can't complain. I ain't
worried about it really, man, it is gonna be what
it is gonna be. I got a quick question. I
hope I ain't nobody asked this already because I got
on the show kind of late today. But like players
like Jane Houston, Shamar James, jan Ye, Thomas Marki's bell

(32:21):
if Shaty got the type as system that he said, well,
you gotta prove your prove your spot, get in position,
and that's why people like Blue not playing and stuff
like that. How come these other guys not getting a shot,
you know, with more because it seemed like every time
Jane Houston go out there, he making the play. Now
I don't know if he get more plays. Well, he
looked just as regular as the rest of them. But

(32:42):
I'm just trying to figure out how come if Shotty said,
you know, it's a competitionary day with a competition at
because I mean we're not getting no pass rush. I
mean we you know, corners, wings start, they barbecue chicken,
you know, our tackles. And then during the training camp
we thought that we had you know, uh edges, but

(33:02):
maybe that's just because they were going against each other.
So that's pretty much my question. Oh, one more question.
Is there no point to make a trade because we're
not just one piece away? Did we just ride this
out with the guys that we got and that's it?
That's all I got for you. I appreciate taking a.

Speaker 6 (33:19):
Call, good call, man, A couple of good questions the trade, Pard,
I'm riding out at this point.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
I don't think you're anywhere close to And you have
to give a coach time, you know, and that time
is now.

Speaker 12 (33:32):
But didn't we didn't? We We should have known this
was gonna happen. I mean, you got a new coach,
the new scheme.

Speaker 3 (33:39):
Here we did, and we did.

Speaker 12 (33:41):
There's no preseason. The starters never paid.

Speaker 9 (33:44):
Hold on.

Speaker 3 (33:47):
Wrong, don't give that chance hill.

Speaker 7 (33:51):
You find it.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
I got on the phase. We tried to talk ourselves
out of it, like we do everything. Man, we did.

Speaker 12 (33:59):
We should've seen this from the beginning.

Speaker 7 (34:01):
Everybody I talked to, everybody, is fourth game coming up,
the fourth game of the preseason.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
And finally, if you're expecting something totally different, it's gonna
have to be and it's gonna be even harder after
the buye, it's gonna be even harder.

Speaker 6 (34:20):
I said, six games and they said for Jesse said eighteen.
We all believe something different, but we knew the beginning
of the season was gonna be bad.

Speaker 3 (34:31):
They tricked us again in that first game.

Speaker 6 (34:33):
Many they were this close to the world champions and
it man, they beat the Giants in a shootout.

Speaker 3 (34:40):
Now, just come on back down to Earth.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
I'm gonna tell you y'all heard it. That's how when
the Rams showed up right again again. Okay, the Rams
is a measuring stick for me every training camp.

Speaker 7 (34:57):
But back to this question. Now, it's the fourth game.

Speaker 4 (35:01):
You've given guys three games to to to do what
you do. But as somebody said, it probably just once
you start sliding away from.

Speaker 7 (35:11):
Your veterans, can't go back.

Speaker 4 (35:14):
If you do go back, you may know you may
get a worse performance. So you gotta be careful about
how you do it and how you explain to these veterans.
You know, certain situations you got to you gotta present
this thing right. And maybe coach Seanahammer got a relationship
with these guys we don't know nothing about. But you
gotta be careful when you go to slide away.

Speaker 7 (35:34):
Now.

Speaker 11 (35:34):
But also, I mean this could also be a factor.
What if wan Ye ain't better than what we see
it in practice.

Speaker 1 (35:43):
Right, Like we're talking about competitive things. What if yan Ye,
what if Marquis Bell aren't showing Sometimes you want different
because what's out there is not what's doing it? Yeah
right now, But who's to say that coach is not
looking at that comats in practicing and going they ain't
doing better than the guys that we got out there.

Speaker 11 (35:58):
So it's tough to make that switch.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (36:01):
Like, that's that's the big Also if in this whole conversation,
I know people want change for change sake, but.

Speaker 11 (36:09):
What if Yanye is not doing better? What if Marquise
Bell is not doing better?

Speaker 1 (36:14):
Then you Sometimes it's better to go with the devil
that you do know than the devil that you don't know,
and and and ride it out with there because once
you like, you know, unless somebody gets hurt, like the
Giant situation, giants can't go back to Russell Wilson. Now
you got to ride this thing all the way out
with Jackson Dark. Now he gets hurt, you make a
decision between he and and and and uh and old Jamis.

(36:36):
But you can't go Jackson Dart for the next three
weeks and then go back to Russell Wilson as a coach.

Speaker 6 (36:43):
Like, because this is a mental game, right, A lot
of its confidence, especially.

Speaker 3 (36:50):
A lot of its confidence. Do you think it as
a coach?

Speaker 6 (36:54):
Are they thinking like if I do this, this might
this might wreck this dude's career, or this might be
the end of you know, he's got a bright future.
But if I do this too soon, or I do
this or they just looking at I got to win
now and save my job.

Speaker 1 (37:10):
It's a combination of both because as a coach, you
do want to make sure that you don't crush your
kid's confidence. But at the same time, you've been hired
to do a job and feelings or massaging, and you know,
caressing feelings is not in the job description. The job
description is for you to win football games, line one.

(37:32):
And if that means you got to hurt somebody feelings,
this ain't cup scouts, This is not where you have
to worry.

Speaker 3 (37:39):
This is not that. This is big boy professional football.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
And I get it that you want to make sure
that you're not trying to ruin a kid, especially if
he's going to be around your football team for a
long time. But dog You have an obligation to fifty
three plus to go out there and put the best
team out there.

Speaker 11 (37:59):
You know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (38:00):
Like, that's your obligation, not not the call of the
feelings of what this person may feel like or you know,
how he may respond. Your job is to put the
best product out there and win the football game. That
is line one of head coach in the National Football League. Feelings,
that's that's.

Speaker 11 (38:16):
Those are fleeting, those come and go.

Speaker 6 (38:17):
All right, let's do one more call and then we'll
let Jesse in the show on him.

Speaker 3 (38:22):
We got Mike and Newton. Iwah, what's up, Mike?

Speaker 9 (38:27):
Hey, how's it gone?

Speaker 10 (38:28):
Guys?

Speaker 9 (38:29):
What's up? Yeah? Hey, I still got faith in my Cowboys.
But my question is to Jesse here. I like your input.
I like your broadcast show. Jesse, you're the man. You're
you're the man. My question is, but I know I
won't hear you guys talk about this person a lot.

(38:49):
He's injured, but I never hear him you guys talk
about him because I think he's going to make a
lot of difference if he comes back. And that man,
that's my man over shown, Yeah, the linebacker, and I
think he's gonna make a lot of difference if he
comes back. That's if he stays healthy. I mean, we
got rid of the other linebacker. We won't mention his

(39:11):
name that went to Green Bay. But I think he's
faster than the other one, and I think he's gonna
make a lot of difference if he comes back. That's
if he stays healthy, because he's quick as speed and
everything else. And I never hear you guys talk about him.
I mean, when is he coming back? I mean, do
you think he'll make a difference if he come back
and put some spark in his defense? I'll hang up

(39:32):
and listen.

Speaker 4 (39:35):
We I think I think the Cowboys for being real,
real careful with this kid. Uh, and now we got
to see if he can come back and be that guy.
This is the second major injury, so now you know,
you gotta you gotta factor that in and you got
to be real careful. You know, he's a he's a
gung hold guy and he's gonna go wide open. That's

(39:58):
just his nature. But uh, let him come back when
he come back. And if you don't show up this year,
it's okay with me. And he shows up.

Speaker 7 (40:07):
Next year, it's okay. With me, Jesse, we.

Speaker 1 (40:12):
Don't talk about guys that don't play. Yeah, like sorry,
you don't play like he's hurt and I like Overshown,
But sidebar, he ain't faster than the guy you're talking
about it in Green Bay.

Speaker 11 (40:26):
He's not really no, no, brother, not no. He may
he may play fast, he ain't flaster.

Speaker 7 (40:33):
No more because the other the other dude got got quickness.

Speaker 11 (40:38):
We all like showing.

Speaker 1 (40:40):
I think over shown is a good young player, but
you can't. You don't make the club in the tub.
This is two back to back season that we're talking
about a guy getting major knee injuries and now coming
back from that. What is he you lose? I've said this.
I've been on this show seven eight nine years. I

(41:00):
said every single time, every time you get cut open,
you lose a bit of yourself literally and physically figuratively.

Speaker 11 (41:09):
You lose, you lose something.

Speaker 1 (41:10):
You don't get stronger, bigger, faster when they got to
cut you open and repair stuff in you. So we
don't know what he's going to be when he comes back,
and if he comes back healthy, if he doesn't get
hurt again, if even if he comes back this year,
they're still We're talking about months and months and months
where he hasn't done any football. So even coming back,

(41:34):
there's a learning curve for him that you know, they
always say, you don't get right into a year after
the a if we even see even this year, so
it's like he won't be it is optim himself until
next year. And who's to say that the defense that
we have next year will finish system because that will
probably have a new defensive coordated next year.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
I can continue you at.

Speaker 1 (41:56):
This rate, that'll be like the fourth one and four years,
five years and whatever it is. So there's a bunch
of ifs for a guy who isn't on the field
right now. And that's part of the reason why we
don't talk about him, because there's nothing that you can
do to help us.

Speaker 11 (42:10):
It's all about ifs and if.

Speaker 1 (42:14):
Hell, there's a we can all go around with and
say if.

Speaker 4 (42:18):
But I got a perfect example, and I tried to
warn people this last year. Sam Williams, when he was
a spot player, you can counter him making a big play,
special teams sack. You know, he also will make a
bad play, but you can counter that one play a game. Well,
he's been back and he's been playing a lot and

(42:40):
haven't heard his name. That's because he's trying to recover,
not only physically but mentally, to get itself back, and
we don't even know if he'll get back.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
True, Jesse, we got a couple of minutes left. You
want to hold until tomorrow, all right, we'll see it.
Tune in tomorrow because I want to know what Jesse's
holding out, because.

Speaker 6 (42:58):
He every once Jesse goes to a place in the show,
a dark, secret place, and he gets real quiet. It's
like he gets in a mental closet and he shuts
the door real quiet behind him, and he just y'all.

Speaker 3 (43:13):
Don't see it because you're listening.

Speaker 6 (43:16):
But I can tell he'll get a thought and it'll
just go and he just he kind of sits back
a little bit in his chair.

Speaker 4 (43:22):
He don't wait it already, because what I say is, yeah,
you don't wait.

Speaker 1 (43:27):
That's when I say it, and it gets to the
certain people if it ain't, if it's not contextualized.

Speaker 6 (43:33):
Being thoughtful, Yeah, yeah, you're being thoughtful, which is you
don't do that a lot. I know this is a
very this is a very No, you're very thoughtful, but
you usually just say what comes to mind. So when
you what I can tell when you when you got
a nugget because you just you just your voice changes,
your posture changes, like he is, he has got something
big to drop.

Speaker 3 (43:54):
So tune in tomorrow and find out, because I want
to know.

Speaker 6 (43:56):
We'll see if he still drops it after he after
he has twenty four hours and think.

Speaker 11 (43:59):
No, I'm this, this is gonna be on me. He good, Yeah,
I'm gonna get it out.

Speaker 3 (44:02):
Save it for our show. I will don't do it
on one of those other eighty five shows.

Speaker 6 (44:06):
Save it for this, the one you make the big
money on.

Speaker 7 (44:12):
Exposed.

Speaker 6 (44:14):
All right, good stuff, fellas. Thanks for everybody that call
good calls. Anthony, hold your head up. It's gonna get

Speaker 7 (44:21):

Speaker 3 (44:24):
Chris said he got the robbery. We'll play it tomorrow.
Tune in tomorrow to hear Anthony's song.

Speaker 6 (44:29):

their Josh, thanks for keeping him company. We'll be back tomorrow,
same time, same place, Hanging with the boys.

Speaker 3 (44:37):
