the last two weeks, CD excuse me, George Pickens has
these exact same amount of targets, has the exact same
amount of catches, has the exact same amount of yards

for the same amount of percentage like identical, Yes, identical.
So it was like he runs a core number of
routes and that's where they connect with him on those routes.
So it's gonna be very interesting to see this week
how they approach this because now you can't be just
the outside guy if you're the number one, because this offense,

the number one guy is.

A movable piece. It's not like when we were coming
up where the X right, the.

today's modern you know play calling, the X now becomes

slot now the movable guy has become the guy that

everybody looks at as the number one. So you line
up outside sometimes you line up in the slot. You're
the motion guy. You're the guy motion and into the formation,
out of the formation, across the formation. This is the
guy who runs all the different routes, and George has
had the luxury with Ceedee Lamb being here of being
just kind of basically an outside type of guy to

where now I want, I'm curious, I will be watching
in this upcoming game how Brian Schottenheimer plans on using
him and and and how it works and the trust
that he and Dak presscott because they're they're still building
that chemistry. They're still trying to figure out, you know, when,
where and how this has to happen in the in
the offensive scheme. And then now how do I have

the other guys come along, whether that's Flora Noy or
Tobert or Turpin, one of those guys gonna look like
in this passing game, because it's still gonna be relied
heavily on the pass game. Now that you eliminate Ceedee
Lamb from that mix, you're talking about your offensive line you.

Got you've lost, they lost two guys in your offensive line.

We start talking about what Javante was able to have
success in the running game due to light boxes, meaning
there aren't there four or five guys in the box,
you know, six guys in the box. So now because
you had to play covers behind because you had Ceedee
Lamb and George Pickens on the outside. Well, now you
don't have Ceedee Lamb. Are you adding that seventh guy
to the box? Eighth goy to the box? And now

those offensive linemen have to sift through that and figure
it out. And Javonte, what does those running lanes now
look like? Because they're gonna say if I was a
defensive coordinator, dat on Tobert Ryan illinoy beat me. You
have to beat me today. You gotta beat me. And
if you're able to do this can to Lee. We
tip our cap and we going with our loss.

and if he comes back healthy, if he doesn't get

where he hasn't done any football. So even coming back,

there's a learning curve for him that you know, they
always say, you don't get right into a year after
the a if we even see even this year, so
it's like he won't be it is optim himself until
next year. And who's to say that the defense that
we have next year will finish system because that will
probably have a new defensive coordated next year.

in this upcoming game how Brian Schottenheimer plans on using
him and and and how it works and the trust
that he and Dak presscott because they're they're still building

decision between he and and and and uh and old Jamis.

But you can't go Jackson Dart for the next three
weeks and then go back to Russell Wilson as a coach.

Like, because this is a mental game, right, A lot

Are they thinking like if I do this, this might

It's a combination of both because as a coach, you
do want to make sure that you don't crush your
kid's confidence. But at the same time, you've been hired
to do a job and feelings or massaging, and you know,
caressing feelings is not in the job description. The job
description is for you to win football games, line one.

And if that means you got to hurt somebody feelings,
this ain't cup scouts, This is not where you have
to worry.

This is not that. This is big boy professional football.

And I get it that you want to make sure
that you're not trying to ruin a kid, especially if
he's going to be around your football team for a
long time. But dog You have an obligation to fifty
three plus to go out there and put the best
team out there.

You know what I mean.

Like, that's your obligation, not not the call of the
feelings of what this person may feel like or you know,
how he may respond. Your job is to put the
best product out there and win the football game. That
is line one of head coach in the National Football League. Feelings,
that's that's.

name that went to Green Bay. But I think he's
faster than the other one, and I think he's gonna
make a lot of difference if he comes back. That's
if he stays healthy, because he's quick as speed and
everything else. And I never hear you guys talk about him.
I mean, when is he coming back? I mean, do
you think he'll make a difference if he come back
and put some spark in his defense? I'll hang up

to see if he can come back and be that guy.

This is two back to back season that we're talking
about a guy getting major knee injuries and now coming
back from that. What is he you lose? I've said this.
I've been on this show seven eight nine years. I

said every single time, every time you get cut open,
you lose a bit of yourself literally and physically figuratively.
Speaker 11 (41:09):
You lose, you lose something.
Speaker 1 (41:10):
You don't get stronger, bigger, faster when they got to
cut you open and repair stuff in you. So we
don't know what he's going to be when he comes back,
and if he comes back healthy, if he doesn't get
hurt again, if even if he comes back this year,
they're still We're talking about months and months and months
where he hasn't done any football. So even coming back,
(41:34):
there's a learning curve for him that you know, they
always say, you don't get right into a year after
the a if we even see even this year, so
it's like he won't be it is optim himself until
next year. And who's to say that the defense that
we have next year will finish system because that will
probably have a new defensive coordated next year.
Speaker 3 (41:55):

Speaker 1 (41:56):
This rate, that'll be like the fourth one and four years,
five years and whatever it is. So there's a bunch
of ifs for a guy who isn't on the field
right now. And that's part of the reason why we
don't talk about him, because there's nothing that you can
do to help us.

It's all about ifs and if.

Hell, there's a we can all go around with and
say if.
Speaker 4 (42:18):
But I got a perfect example, and I tried to
warn people this last year. Sam Williams, when he was
a spot player, you can counter him making a big play,
special teams sack. You know, he also will make a
bad play, but you can counter that one play a game. Well,
he's been back and he's been playing a lot and

haven't heard his name. That's because he's trying to recover,
not only physically but mentally, to get itself back, and
we don't even know if he'll get back.
Speaker 3 (42:49):
True, Jesse, we got a couple of minutes left. You

you usually just say what comes to mind. So when
you what I can tell when you when you got
a nugget because you just you just your voice changes,
your posture changes, like he is, he has got something
big to drop.
