Speaker 1 (02:05):
That's not We'll figure it out.
Speaker 6 (02:07):
We'll figure something.
Speaker 3 (02:09):
Something ridiculous will come out of our mouth. At some
point we'll be like, you know what, that's it.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Give us a little time, wing Stop working through this thing.
You just popped this on this man. We've been doing
this for one way for seven years. Give us a
little time, wing Stop come up with something with you. Well,
we got something for you.
Speaker 5 (02:21):
And you'll love it.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
You love it. You you'll want to send us more food.
Speaker 5 (02:25):
Hopefully, hopefully that doesn't dry up like that. That's one
of my favorite hats they put out.
Speaker 6 (02:31):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (02:31):
I love that hat they have that hat. Nay, I
like your attire as well. I'm the only one that
didn't work.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
Cowboys geared today, you're more in tone, you're more in
tune with today than we are.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
You know what candy up in here or something.
Speaker 9 (02:47):
Everywhere I've called today. I didn't know this turned into
a holiday. I didn't know Halloween was a holiday.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
No, I didn't.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
I always thought it was just today.
Speaker 5 (02:58):
But it's a big deal. Some people sometimes this is
their favorite favorite of the holidays.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
And then some people go the other way and go
it's worshiping the devil.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
It's all that bad stuff.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
So then they go to church, so it's all over
the place.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
My kid loves it because he gets to hang out
with beams kids and play. He ain't worried about the candy.
We messed up and let him play laser tag one
year after they went trick or treating.
Speaker 5 (03:21):
And that's all my kid talks about all year long.
For Halloween.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
He wants to go back and play laser tag. He
ain't worried about the candy.
Speaker 6 (03:28):
That's what you're going to play laser tag. Yeah, yep,
you can take the candy in.
Speaker 5 (03:32):
Yeah, I don't worry a little bit.
Speaker 6 (03:34):
Feeding over there for candidates, if you got.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Here will be I will be eating my sheriff candy night.
So how we doing today? It's Friday? Take some phone
calls today.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
Yeah, eight five five two two seven eight eight eight
eight five five two to two non seven.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
Yes, let's do it.
Speaker 5 (03:50):
And in the meantime, Nate, you got anything you want
to say today?
Speaker 1 (03:53):
Yeah, I really do. Man.
Speaker 9 (03:54):
It bothered me a little bit last night, and I
did something that I normally don't do. Is uncharacteristic of me?
Is I text the group last night? You did because
I was laying on my bed and I was watching
the game, and I'm saying, Jesse laid down some of
the greatest intaeil, you know, looking into an offense and
(04:19):
talking eloquently about a tight end.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
I'm like, it just touched me.
Speaker 9 (04:23):
I'm like, wow, But I got to thinking a tight
end and a quarterback with a.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Bad foot gonna come in here with us.
Speaker 6 (04:32):
Man, Well, you watch it.
Speaker 4 (04:33):
You watch a tight end and a quarterback with a
bad handy win the game.
Speaker 6 (04:37):
Last night.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
You watched Mark Andrews and Lamar Jackson coming off a
hand dray injury. Mar Jackson had four incompletions and four touchdowns,
two of them with the market.
Speaker 1 (04:47):
That's a different quarterback.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
Okay, that's different.
Speaker 1 (04:51):
You can have all both hands blowed.
Speaker 9 (04:55):
Come on, man, and I ain't saying that this kid
is not a good quarterback, you know, but he's not
that guy.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
Yeah, but for sure, and he's coming on.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Bruh. He missed two weeks of football. He missed me
let me games.
Speaker 5 (05:10):
Here we go.
Speaker 6 (05:11):
That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 5 (05:12):
Game, thank you. I'll share.
Speaker 9 (05:15):
How can a dude miss two games and come back
and still be the leaving Russia on his.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
Let me ask you a question if I'm not wishing
this on anybody, because I would love to have a
great show on Tuesday.
Speaker 5 (05:28):
We will if they get beat Monday. Are you just
are you going to show up for work? Because you
you said it on the show all day, Yes, the show.
Speaker 3 (05:37):
You walked out the back door saying it, come on,
bro before I got on the eleventor come on bro,
a tight end and a quarterback? Really?
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Uh now?
Speaker 10 (05:45):
Uh uh?
Speaker 3 (05:45):
And then you started you sent it last night and
then you started the show with are you gonna be okay?
Speaker 11 (05:50):
Bro?
Speaker 1 (05:50):
I'm gonna be okay because that can't happen.
Speaker 9 (05:56):
If this was Kansas City Chiefs, I'd be like, yeah.
Speaker 5 (06:01):
Well that's coming to in a few weeks. Here in
the building.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Does anybody want to ask something to.
Speaker 12 (06:08):
The show Curtains.
Speaker 7 (06:11):
Well, I mean, you know, they've lost the last second
games here recently the Green Bay with a backup quarterback
and the tight end.
Speaker 5 (06:18):
So we just want you to be okay on Tuesday.
Speaker 3 (06:21):
If now we'll see if it's how we think, if
they're gonna win.
Speaker 6 (06:24):
See, I just.
Speaker 1 (06:27):
I just, man, that's why I quit looking at film.
Speaker 9 (06:31):
Okay, all right, just contribute today and then I look
at it on I look at it on Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (06:36):
I mean defense, defense on it. Okay, that offense is right.
Speaker 7 (06:40):
Speak feel like we're like that two and five record Arizona.
We're kind of like, man, we're skipping that.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
You know.
Speaker 6 (06:47):
Yeah, they I mean they're no better than that?
Speaker 7 (06:50):
Are they better than that?
Speaker 6 (06:51):
All one score are one scores. They lost.
Speaker 7 (06:55):
Three of them were like last second film goal.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
Four points less. I'm not overlooking them.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
I mean, you got it.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
I think it's fifty to fifty.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
I think you've got a chance to lose this game
with the quarterback with a bad foot and a tight.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
End that's coming from the punkin head man.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
And if you win, I think it's gonna be I
think it's gonna be close. I don't think you're blowing
these these cats out. They don't get they haven't been
blown out this year.
Speaker 5 (07:22):
You don't.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
I don't think you know how to blow a team out.
That's a good team. I think this is a good team.
I don't think they're great. I don't think they're a
What is it equal to? Do you think their talent
is equal to the Cowboys talent on overall? Offensively? Obviously
we have them defensively, they have us. On the talent scale.
Do you think as a whole.
Speaker 4 (07:46):
They play they they maximize their talent. Okay, so they
don't have top end talent, right, they don't have elite
talent where they're just better than you.
Speaker 6 (07:58):
But whatever the ceiling is.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
For their talents, they get kind of close to that ceiling.
So that's if that's the case that we're at. We're
in the basement for most of our talent. Like when
you talk about, like if I told you the two
best defensive players on this team right now, maybe Donovan
as a Roku and Jadaveon Clowney, that's where we're.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
At, all right.
Speaker 5 (08:24):
Let me let me stop you there real quick.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Ibra Flus has said I believe multiple times they have
the talent to fix the defense, and then Clowney came
out and said, we got too much talent for us
not to figure it out. Is that just player and
coach speak or do they really believe they have the
talent and they.
Speaker 5 (08:43):
Just I guess what, don't know what the hell they're doing.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
Or do you think that's for a player to come
out and say that that's coach, that's coach?
Speaker 5 (08:51):
Is that coaching players?
Speaker 6 (08:52):
That's coaching veteran player speak?
Speaker 5 (08:54):
Okay, that's good pr training.
Speaker 4 (08:56):
And also, you know, Todavion Clowney is also one of
the guys behind the scene who's going to coaches and
telling him that he should play more. That's fact he
is playing, playing more. Yes, he's starting to. He's like,
I'm better than those dudes. Play me more so, you
know he's like, yeah, he's probably more so, like I'm
better talent than what you're putting out there. Put me
out there more so we'll see. But I think a
(09:18):
lot of that is it's coach speaking veteran players speak.
Speaker 5 (09:22):
This is not a talent.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
It's not a talented group, and it's it's that's just
what it is, just player for players. There's not a
talented group. Some young guys in there have some hope
for the future, but overall they just don't whatever. They
don't maximize whatever they have, whatever the whatever the amount is.
If you're if you're at your best, your grade is
(09:44):
you're if you're.
Speaker 6 (09:45):
A C student.
Speaker 4 (09:47):
And that's who you are, then you should consistently get
c's eke out to be every now and again.
Speaker 6 (09:54):
Right, But they're not doing that.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
There's a lot of C level talent there that's not
match SEA level talent, and then rising up and playing
B level give you a B grade every now and again.
They're playing more like C minus D plus. And when
you don't reach that potential across the board, and then
the thing is, it's too many, it's too many of.
Speaker 6 (10:17):
The dudes that are having this issue.
Speaker 7 (10:19):
You just you just is that the players fault, is
that the coach's fault for not getting them in place
or motivated or whatever.
Speaker 4 (10:27):
So there's some and this is just me, This is
not everybody doesn't have this belief, but as someone who is,
and I hate kind of going this route, but if
someone who's played this game, been in the locker room,
been in the meeting rooms, seeing talent, there's I don't
always want to lean on.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
It's the coach.
Speaker 4 (10:53):
Like because I can, I can turn on a film
and I go, but you're not in the right gap,
app or you didn't know that you had him in
man a man like to me? And I know that
I say playbook when they get I passed now, But
I know when you got a playbook. I know, I
(11:14):
know at some point in time there was a meeting
and this stuff was gone over right, Like if you
didn't understand, then did you not say anything? You went
through an entire week of practice, the entire week of practice.
That means pre practice meetings, post practice meetings, on the
field practice. So where is the disconnect? Like that's on players?
Speaker 13 (11:39):
To me?
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Now you can say, all right, well you know what, hey,
we were we were in man a man like. You know,
you can go back. I remember the the the the
uh the Megatron game years ago. Was was Brandon Carr.
That's probably coach fault. That's probably coach fau. That's how
I was a coach in my practice. Stop putting him
(12:03):
in man against that man, you know what I'm saying?
Like that like that that to me, that wasn't a
Brandon car issue. Brandon Atlanta sack game. Now that's a coaching.
That's coaching, right, Like after after the third sack, you
should have been like okay, but you just kept putting
him out there in the island like something was gonna
change and he wasn't, and he wasn't an elite player
(12:28):
that you can go, now, coach, I got this.
Speaker 6 (12:30):
You know what I'm saying.
Speaker 4 (12:31):
This wasn't It wasn't Larry Allen, where you go my fault,
I'm tripping. I'll figure I'll fix it. This wasn't that.
So those are coaching. Those are things we go like,
that scheme was wrong. You you put in the wrong
game plan for this week. You attack this particular opponent incorrectly,
and you put us in a bad position where even
(12:53):
our athletic talent couldn't overdo that because they had a
better scheme and better players running the right the more
correct scheme. But when I see a lot of this stuff, man,
I go like, especially I went over this the other day,
just the communication thing.
Speaker 6 (13:11):
Like that that.
Speaker 4 (13:14):
That because I can look at the game and go
and I can come in here and say, listen, guys, man,
try quest Bridges was exactly where he was supposed to be.
Speaker 6 (13:24):
He just so happened to go up against a Hall
of Famer.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
You tip your cap to that man, and you go
on about your business and maybe you try, you know,
maybe the ball might bounce your away next time. But
if you ain't even over there, you know, you see
what I'm saying. So it's things like that. I'm like
a lot of this goes back onto the guys in
the Jerseys because you when you say you watch Kenneth
(13:51):
Murray and he's chicken fighting with an offensive lineman fifteen
yards down the field. Son, that ain't coached. I know
a coach didn't tell you that. I know a coach said,
put your hand on his chin and engage and get away.
Speaker 6 (14:01):
From his block.
Speaker 4 (14:03):
Like you ain't supposed to be chicken fighting fifteen yard linebacker,
fifteen yards down the field. You still Patty Cagan with
a dude, come on, come on, y'all, like y'all ain't
been in on the fielding in the locker room. But
you know that's not coached. You know, you know that's
not coached. You know a coach is like, hey, you
see it, boom, let's get rid of it.
Speaker 6 (14:24):
Get to the tackle.
Speaker 4 (14:25):
You're a linebacker, so I just there's certain things. I'm
just like a lot of this on the players. Man.
Speaker 3 (14:32):
All right, let's take our first break and find out
what our fans think. The phone lines are open and

Speaker 13 (17:27):
Mo Hey guys, Hey, hey guys, thank you for taking
my call. I'm in phase two chemo and doing great.
But to get this out of the way, thank you,
Thank you. You know, I like to start with a
trivia question about your show, but I'm not. I don't
want to take too long. So there's something that you
(17:48):
guys do on this show every week that makes it
the most unique show of all the other shows that
broadcast sports, and it's the staff that uh uh Jesse
gives us on Friday before the game. It's a wonderful
thing to take with you when you're when you're at
(18:10):
home watching and so it makes it makes the game
that much more interesting. And he's been spot on ever
since he started that. I have I have a question
really just bugging me for a while. After each loss
or you guys Nate and Jesse start criticizing what the
(18:33):
calls were, and I'm just wondering, don't the coaching staff
have people like you who start, say, one game, you
said that they stopped to run and Dickens was open
all the time, and you wondered why they didn't go
to him more than what they did on that game,
and we lost that game, And it's just mind boggling.
(18:56):
I'm just, you know, wondering, do the coaches have consultants
sit with them, Do we're in the game and watch
things and give them the you know, a comment to
change these plays or not? The other thing I want
to I'm glad that I'm a Cowboys fan, and I
hope Cowboys and Nation enjoy the fact that we're Cowboys
(19:16):
fan and give this coaching staff the chance to really
survive the first season, because they're all dealing with something
that they got from what Jerry Jones put together. So
at least we need to give them at least one
season before we start firing these coaches. And no, thank
you guys for the show, and I'll hang you up
(19:38):
to listen.
Speaker 5 (19:38):
Hey, hang on real quick. How are you feeling?
Speaker 13 (19:42):
Yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm taking my medicine and
I don't have any side effects. My voice is something
that has to do with my finances, which I can't
I can't find out why. But but I'm fine. I
I you know, I'm doing great and hopefully i'll it
over this. But I appreciate all the sentiment that you
(20:03):
guys have.
Speaker 5 (20:03):
Thank what's your what's your score?
Speaker 1 (20:05):
This week?
Speaker 13 (20:11):
Zero is Kyler Murray Kyler Murray ten in at and
T Stadium.
Speaker 6 (20:18):
Since Klamer's win Cardinals win, Oh, Cardinals.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
All right, that's a depressing note when picks the Cardinals.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
When he just gave a super speech. That's great to
be a cowboy.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
Get these guys a chance this week this week, both
thank you, thank you, hope you hope you do.
Speaker 1 (20:39):
That's honesty man.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
And to his question about yes, well, because you know
a lot of times these teams they have the quality
control people that they have who monitor the passes, the
runs and all that kind of stuff that they've done,
you know, in a particular game. But you know, it's
it's sometimes tough to be the head coach and the
OC or the head coach and the DC because you're
(21:04):
not just focused on that position.
Speaker 6 (21:07):
When you're the head coach, you're focused.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
On time management, timeouts, the vibe of the offense and
the defense, down and distance, special teams. You know, Jim
Auer comes up to you and he says, hey, this
player is out, and you're like, damn, I gotta make
an adjustment, you know. Or and then sometimes you get
into a game and there's wrinkles in a game. So
you know that that's why you know when you're when
(21:29):
you're when you're the head coach and the play caller
is a little bit more added to that plate. And
uh and and why it's good to have a veteran
quarterback like Dak Prescott because sometimes you may make a
call and send a call in to the quarterback and
he can he can know the play that you called in,
break the huddle, get to the line of scrimmage and go, yeah,
that's not gonna work, and then be able to give
(21:51):
a solution to put you in a better play for
that particular for that particular time. But I believe that
play calling it's a rhythm. There's a rhythm to that,
especially offensive play calling. You know, you all hear about
the teams first fifteen and how they play off that.
Usually when you get to your first fifteen, you kind
of bank some of those away. You kind of go, Okay,
(22:11):
this one worked, I'll put that one into that slot
of we may bring back this out and you're setting
players up to happen later on in the game, right,
and so like I will run a play in the
first quarter to see what kind of look that I
may get or how I can set it up. But
then if things don't go right, it makes no sense
to me to go forward in the third quarter. So
that's the player that scratched off the total. It came
in this week, but because how things played out, that
(22:33):
ain't gonna work no more, so.
Speaker 6 (22:34):
I scratch it. So there was a there was a chemistry.
Speaker 4 (22:37):
There's a rhythm to offensive play calling, and sometimes he
gets in it, and sometimes you just have those games
where you don't.
Speaker 7 (22:43):
There's a quarterback ever, because usually they give him two
plays right.
Speaker 6 (22:47):
Or no no, no, no, no no. Some players you just
get one. Sometimes you get when he's changing.
Speaker 7 (22:53):
He can change it to whatever you.
Speaker 6 (22:54):
Want whenever he wants.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
Yeah, sometimes you'll come in and they'll have a run
pass kill or a pass run kill.
Speaker 12 (22:59):
Right.
Speaker 4 (22:59):
Well, they'll give him two plays and they go like,
this is the look we're going with this play. But
if they're going to this coverage, we're killing it. We're
going to this run. Right, It's like these plays right here.
But sometimes you just get in there and say, hey,
it's who we got. You give them the play. They
break the huddle. Now they get to a lot of scrims.
He may be like, we got nothing, and then now
it's hey, easy, easy, easy, easy, you start changing stuff.
Speaker 12 (23:20):
You know.
Speaker 5 (23:21):
All right, let's go back to the phones. Chris, who
we got?
Speaker 8 (23:25):
We got Lester and Minnesota?
Speaker 5 (23:27):
All right, Lester, we only got a half an hour.
Speaker 6 (23:29):
Yeah, what's up?
Speaker 12 (23:31):
Hey, I just want to let Nate and Jesse know.
Tuesday man y'all his own point talking about how you
hire a coach and how you evaluate players, et cetera,
et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. I'm not gonna go
all all into it because I got something I want
to add to that, But I want to just say
you his own point, both of y'all. Basically, what we
(23:55):
when we draft, we got what thirty two teams, right,
and roughly they get seven picks apiece, right, So that
adds up to be about two hundred and twenty four
picks between all the teams. Now, if you look at
the college players, if you add the all the college
players that's coming out, including the black colleges, and then
(24:17):
some of the free agent types, I mean, you got
almost three thousand players to pick from. Man, you mean
to tell me these thirty two gms can't pick barn injury. Now,
let me get that in there, Barn injury. They can't
pick seven good players to fit their particular scheme or
at least five.
Speaker 5 (24:39):
I mean, come on, man, you call that's the draft show.
Speaker 6 (24:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 12 (24:44):
Well, I'm just saying, I'm just adding on to what
they were saying earlier about the whole situation about coaching
and picking and et cetera. So far, that's all all good.
Speaker 5 (24:55):
Thank you Lester for the call. Appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (25:00):
Us Se what your score?
Speaker 12 (25:02):
Oh, thirty six twenty five, Cowboys.
Speaker 5 (25:06):
Thirty six twenty five, Thank you, sir, Go Cowboys you, sir.
Speaker 6 (25:11):
Go ahead, Nate.
Speaker 9 (25:14):
Now we're gonna say that a thousand times. I'm numb
say it. No, No, I'm through with it, man. I
mean I'm if you don't keep a coach, okay, if
we don't keep a coach, how do you know his scheme?
Speaker 1 (25:31):
If we don't keep a coach.
Speaker 9 (25:32):
For more than two years, a defensive coordinator and we
keep the two d been gonna hoigh long DQ been
gone three years.
Speaker 6 (25:41):
This three Yeah, because they had differ new defensive coording
in three years in a row.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 9 (25:45):
So okay, so we still got DQ boys, So it
don't ovidentally don't fit evil flues? Okay, so we get
rid of evil flues? Do we go hire somebody to
come out of d q's tree so they can be
back his boys? How do we how do we fix this?
Who do we hire to fit the players that we have? So,
(26:10):
you know, drafting is one thing. Now, like I say,
like some guys have totally disappeared in the draft that
we drafted. Now, you can't never know what's going on
in their heads. But when you're talking about having a
fit for a certain coach, a certain style, a certain.
Speaker 1 (26:25):
Way you play, if you don't keep a coach for
more than two years.
Speaker 9 (26:29):
How do you know his scheme works because he's trying
to get rid of the last man schemes and you
better hope. See, I'm glad they are in an offensive
thing because you done paid everybody, so you ain't got
no other choice.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
But defensively, we.
Speaker 6 (26:44):
Make you make a great point. You make an absolute
great power.
Speaker 9 (26:47):
I just so when we change, because when we change,
because for whatever reason we change, who is the next guy?
Speaker 6 (26:57):
No, you got to you make a great point. Man,
that's absolutely great point.
Speaker 3 (27:01):
So would you guys, the more you're hearing that this
and seeing that this is a player issue, would you
guys keep eve recluse for another year to be consistent
and build off kind of Well, I'm playing, I'm playing.
Speaker 1 (27:21):
Where cookies got sugar? It was like whata what you got?
A sugar trick or treat?
Speaker 3 (27:30):
That was good?
Speaker 1 (27:31):
The thing?
Speaker 9 (27:32):
The thing is, sometimes it could get so bad because
with all the coach speak, you know, it ain't nothing work.
See coach speak that makes you look worse when you
go out and say, oh, we changed some things out.
Speaker 1 (27:52):
Did you get the stat report back? Oh? They still
paint a lot of songs coach did.
Speaker 9 (27:57):
Coach didn't say that, you know, so sometimes you just
gotta be quiet and you got to say, hey, we're
working on it, and go on about your business, because
this is about performance. This is about perception, uh, of
who you are and what you're trying to accomplish about
the star.
Speaker 7 (28:16):
You know.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
So, I don't know whether they're gonna keep coach even
Fluce or not.
Speaker 9 (28:20):
I mean, whatever decision they make, I just hope whoever
the next coach is, can he get two years?
Speaker 1 (28:27):
Can he get a chance, a real chance?
Speaker 6 (28:30):
That's a that's a great point, man, it really is.
Speaker 4 (28:33):
You may have convinced me about bringing in a new
DC or not, because that's a great point because a
new guy comes in and now.
Speaker 6 (28:41):
You're cleaning up.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
You're cleaning up two messes.
Speaker 6 (28:43):
Two messes. Yeah, you're still dealing with.
Speaker 12 (28:47):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (28:48):
Maybe will it be any more DQ players left wing?
I don't know. Maybe, but then rod Man and Nelly
and then even.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
Right and a new head coach that's lobbying for a
certain type of defensive player.
Speaker 4 (29:01):
Right, That's a that's a good one, Nate. That's something
to think about, Cowboy fans. That's something to think about sorry, Zimber,
not Zimmer, not Robbin, no Zimmer.
Speaker 6 (29:10):
Excuse me?

Speaker 17 (32:20):
What's up, Hey, guys, how y'all doing great?
Speaker 1 (32:23):
How are you man doing good?
Speaker 17 (32:25):
So my question really is I wanted to get Nate's
opinion on the specimen of Parents Steel. I've been wanting
to see if we if Nate Thomas would give us
a shot on the right side. But I just want
to know how you feel about the play of Parents
Steel thus far this year. And I'll hang up and
listen to the answer. But before I go, Shannon, I
(32:49):
want to get a hook up on that promo you're
doing on I think you know what I'm talking about.
Speaker 13 (32:54):
That's all I got.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
Thanks, I have no idea what you're talking about. You
didn't give us your score.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Give us your score, my score.
Speaker 17 (33:04):
Dallas thirty three, Arizona twenty seven.
Speaker 5 (33:09):
What's what promo?
Speaker 1 (33:10):
What hook up you want?
Speaker 5 (33:10):
Okay, hook you up what you wants.
Speaker 13 (33:15):
You're on the social medious site.
Speaker 17 (33:18):
It may not be you, but he sounds just like, Oh, I.
Speaker 5 (33:21):
Don't think it's me. They only have my rights for
this show. I didn't. I didn't want my rights out
for social media.
Speaker 17 (33:28):
Okay, all right, well I've got the wrong guy there.
Speaker 13 (33:31):
But now thanks for taking my college down.
Speaker 5 (33:34):
Good ques, good question.
Speaker 1 (33:36):
What you think?
Speaker 10 (33:36):
Nate?
Speaker 9 (33:38):
Just like did like I tell people about Dak Still,
it's only as good as the play. Actually pass, he's
only as good as the run and he's he's okay. Uh,
he's been holding his ground because Dak has been holding
his ground. And uh, he's just a hard work and
he will give you everything he got. But it's all
(34:01):
based off the run game.
Speaker 1 (34:04):
I'll say it.
Speaker 9 (34:05):
He's not a tackle that you want to see forty
five passes with. He's a tackle that if you can
run sixty five seventy eighty plays and you can get
thirty five runs in us somehow, then he'll dance with
the best stuff because he'll have a chance to have
put his hands on some folks. The closer the game is,
and it's a Bamace game still is, alright, the closer
(34:25):
the game, get it. It's one way, and his leanness
towards the past, he's not gonna be at his best.
Speaker 5 (34:32):
All right, little Halloween segment here, Trick or treat? All right,
go around the room, because I think we've got an
they're all gonna be on offense. But what player has
been a treat for you to watch?
Speaker 3 (34:45):
Maybe somebody that either unexpectedly is having a good season
or someone that you've enjoyed watching this season?
Speaker 5 (34:54):
Who's been your treat?
Speaker 7 (34:55):
Kurt, I'll take the low hanging fruit and go with Williams.
I think anybody really expects.
Speaker 5 (35:01):
Sam Okay, I just want to make sure you're talking
about the right.
Speaker 7 (35:07):
But yeah, no, I think he's been much better than
people would expect it.
Speaker 5 (35:12):
All right, thanks for going in depth.
Speaker 3 (35:14):
Elaboration.
Speaker 6 (35:15):
Yes, it's been a hard runnering.
Speaker 5 (35:18):
Jesse.
Speaker 6 (35:18):
How about you you watch this year Dak Prescott.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
It has been.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
It has been a really really good treat to see
the maturity and the maturation of who he's become as
a quarterback. And a lot of times when you get
to that year ten, eleven, twelve, you've seen so much
football and you're so in control, and like Nate, Nate
(35:45):
always talks about when you get a chance to go
to training camp and you're and you're watching players right
and you and you're looking at him and you're seeing
them and you're not just seeing him in the performative state.
You get to see him walking and talking, moving around
in pre practice stuff like that. And I was standing
near the quarterbacks and they were warming up one day
(36:05):
in training camp and a guy was standing on the
fence on the on the on the VIP side, and
he had a jersey on and he had his name
on or something like that, and he was kind of
yelling back and forth for Dak and was saying like,
you know, hey, like Dak, you know, will he beam
into something like that? Like man, put me in now,
I'm ready to go. And Dak looked over to do
and he was like, in very colorful words, he said,
(36:31):
ain't no room for no more quarterbacks. This is my
sh and I was like, but to most people, you
hear that and you go, oh, that's just a But
I was like, okay, that that the level of confidence.
Speaker 6 (36:51):
To me, it just it exudes different level of confidence.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
And then I watched him at practice and I watched
the way that they threw the ball, and then I
kind of was piecing together, Okay, black man, when they
get this combination going in, that combinate online. That's why
when I came back in and from training camp, I
was like, hey, y'all, that's gonna have the best statistical
year he's ever.
Speaker 6 (37:11):
Had in his career.
Speaker 4 (37:13):
And I went on and I just, you know, abloviated
about all of what I thought Dak Prescott was gonna be.
And you're seeing him work and the offensive line has
not been good. They've been injured, they've been in and out,
they've they've had one of the highest combination of offensive
lines starters in the league. They're up there, and uh,
(37:33):
just to watch him maneuver and work in the pocket,
to watch his command the line of scrimmage and for
him the way he's playing right now.
Speaker 6 (37:39):
And remember I wasn't always a big, huge Dak believer.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
I actually listen to radio.
Speaker 9 (37:45):
Yeah I couldn't never say that because I didn't have
the knowledge you had as a court, you know, But.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
But yeah it was.
Speaker 6 (37:56):
I've been treat to watch. It's been a treat to
watch him.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
This year and watch your brother grow up. And yeah, yeah,
I love that man. Good stuff.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
How about you, Nate.
Speaker 9 (38:04):
I'm about to go with my man because Williams a juggernaut.
He's been denied the right to tote the ball. He's
proven who he is and what he is. And I
challenged coach Shottenham find ways for him to touch the
ball running twenty five times, and maybe I should go
(38:27):
ASTs coach and say, hey, coach, is this guy not
durable enough? That's why you take him out and stretches
and give other guys a chance. This guy has shown
you he is a running back. He is nothing that
he is a running back. He can block, he can
catch passes out of the backfield, he can run, He
(38:50):
got a feel for the offense. And giving him the
ball less than twenty times is not right. This kid
has been a treat he can be a trick for
anybody else that's trying to tackle him, but he is
a treating.
Speaker 1 (39:01):
I don't mean stop stop.
Speaker 6 (39:05):
You said.
Speaker 9 (39:08):
You I've never seen this coach. You said, you're gonna
run the ball. We were in the game in the
first half. We were in the game the first half.
He should have touched that ball. Every time it was
a run, he should have touched the ball. And I
just believe that until this kid showed me something else.
Give him the ball because it helps steal, it helps guiding,
(39:31):
It helps the interior line. I'm telling you, it helps
them because we are facing teams that are always trying
to earn the right to rush the pass. And we
ain't the only one around here crying for a defensive vent.
Every team crying for a defensive n So we have
to run the ball in order to save our defense
(39:53):
second and to save Dak first. Because for order for
Dak to deal to get that ball out to the
two outside guys, you gotta have them line.
Speaker 1 (40:03):
You gotta have some separation.
Speaker 9 (40:04):
Between the linebackers and the safeties and the rest of
the guys. If they're not gonna respect your run espenally
in the second half, they just sitting there. You can
you know, you in the linebacker to a Dak. Come on,
my come on, you know you ain't run out of buns.
I can tap you.
Speaker 1 (40:18):
You know what I'm saying. So yeah, I'm gonna go
with Javonte Williams.
Speaker 5 (40:24):
No, both of those are great. I mean, you can't
argue with either one of those. But I'm gonna go
with just for the pure fandom and the fun watching
games on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (40:33):
Even if you're losing the wide receivers especially, we expected
this out of CD.
Speaker 5 (40:41):
I don't think we knew what to expect out of Pickings.
Speaker 3 (40:45):
And although he's not a number one on this team,
I think he's a number one receiver on most teams
around the league. And to be able to watch those
two guys on every Sunday when they're out there like
as a fan, even though it may be really short lived. Selfishly,
I hope they spend the money to sign him because
(41:05):
it would be fun to watch these guys for the
next two to three years. With Dak the way he
is throwing the ball, this offensive line intact, because it's
really special. There's only maybe two other teams out there
that I think this is the best wide receiver due
in the league. But you know you got Jamar Chase
and Higgins and then you got what who is it
in Jefferson and whoever else in Minnesota Detroit?
Speaker 5 (41:27):
Yeah, those guys.
Speaker 3 (41:29):
But I mean these guys are right there with them,
and and and just to see pickings, especially when CD
was out, see him step up and play the way
he did. And and plus he's he's he's psycho man.
When he when he flops, it's entertainment. It's like, what
is he gonna do now? Like he just caught a
fifty yard bomb? Like, what's he gonna do? Is he
(41:49):
gonna swing at somebody's he gonna fall down?
Speaker 5 (41:51):
Like it's just fun. So for me, that's been the
that's been a treat trick.
Speaker 1 (41:55):
Who is someone now? I just want to come for
the first time he gave us something and he had
to just stumble over. Did you notice that he was clear?
Speaker 5 (42:05):
All did good?
Speaker 1 (42:06):
That was good. That was good. He didn't give us enough.
Speaker 7 (42:09):
But I'm sorry, give you two guys more time, give
me some.
Speaker 3 (42:16):
That's even smiled as he spotted, Like you said, watching
people grow up eleven years later, you know, I feel
that I'm learning. Uh, who's somebody you like to see
a little bit more out of? Somebody that you thought
you were going to get a little bit more out of.
(42:37):
Maybe they tricked you and and it's not Their game
is not quite wherish. Obviously, the whole defense, we could
say is a whole unit would be the big one.
But is there anybody in particular that you want to
see do a little bit more in the in this
last half of the season.
Speaker 7 (42:51):
Well, we talked about him yesterday, but oh so, I
think he's Pro Football Focus has him ranked eighty seven
of defensive interior guys.
Speaker 9 (43:02):
He was twenty four weeks ago, he was knowing he
was fifty four weeks ago. Fifty four weeks ago. He
ain't going up.
Speaker 7 (43:11):
And it's maybe what you said is just and then
Mike had taking the heat off him. I don't know,
but it's it's especially with big payday now, is a
little bit pressure on.
Speaker 6 (43:19):
Yeah, yep, I hope more from him.
Speaker 4 (43:22):
Just for kicking giggles. I know y'a don't want to
hear this, but just get on your googles and I
want you to go listen. They had a locker room
talk the other day go listen to the Green Bay
Packers interior defensive lineman and they were talking about what
Michael Parsons means to their football team. Don't do that,
just say skin on your googles, skin on your googles,
(43:43):
and and here and hear their excitement that they talk
about with him in the football.
Speaker 9 (43:48):
Okay, they're playing him fifty snaps a game, maybe forty snaps, Michael,
They playing him right, or they ain't burning it.
Speaker 6 (43:58):
They tied.
Speaker 5 (43:58):
They timing it for the player. Yeah, who's somebody you
want to see a little more out of Nick Nate?
Speaker 1 (44:05):
Once again?
Speaker 9 (44:06):
This brother brother own it man. Uh, I've always when
he was here with d Q and his first year,
you know, people like, man this olds to do. I said,
give him a year. I mean he's he got he
can explode up the field and he's.
Speaker 1 (44:22):
Doing what DQ wants.
Speaker 9 (44:24):
But next year, I'm gonna say he gonna learn formations,
hes gonna see different sets. He gonna play situation, and
now he gonna know when to explode up the field,
when to to just you know, pop around.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
How many years has been now.
Speaker 6 (44:41):
Or is this his fourth year?
Speaker 1 (44:43):
Fifth? He the same guy.
Speaker 9 (44:45):
Man, He's playing with no direction no purpose. He just
he just does things and nine time attain it don't work,
and so Olsa has.
Speaker 1 (44:56):
To show up. If you look at.
Speaker 9 (44:58):
Number ninety five, Clark, Clark is he's taking a beating
to make sure you have one on one blocks, a
one on one run fits, a one on one pass rushes,
and you got to get there. You're beating up number
ninety five. You're beating them up and to the point
where he's wearing down number number ninety seven has to
(45:23):
play better, all right, Jesse.
Speaker 3 (45:24):
Am gonna skip me in you because I didn't realize
we were almost out of time, so we can get
to your seven eleven always open staut of the week.
Speaker 5 (45:31):
What do we need to watch out for this week?
The type and the bad foot quarterback?
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Do what I've been calling you. We've been talking. Don't
you do this? Man? We text last night. Don't you
do this to be I still love you and I
will always love you, my dog.
Speaker 4 (45:52):
But it's trade McBride, man, it is absolutely trade ming bride.
I can even go for two if Kyler Murray and
then in this game and Kyler Murray has over fifty
rushing yard, there's only two quarterbacks in the National Football
League in the last couple of years that have averaged
two hundred and fifty passing yards and thirty rushing yards.
It's Kyler Murray and it's Josh Allen, and so Kyler
(46:15):
Murray can be deadly with his legs. So if Kyler
Murray has fifty over fifty yards rushing in this game,
you are cooked. And then Trey McBride you talk about,
you know, always open. I have yet to figure out
a plan of how they're going to be able to
keep him lockdown.
Speaker 6 (46:32):
I really do.
Speaker 4 (46:33):
And so it's seventy five yards for me, seventy five
yards for Trade McBride. If he gets to that number
of more.
Speaker 1 (46:42):
The catches can catch us to supersed that.
Speaker 6 (46:44):
He averages six catches a game, So they're gonna get
him the ball, right, They're getting them the ball.
Speaker 9 (46:47):
If you say, got six catches in that many yards
or ten catches in less yards.
Speaker 4 (46:52):
He gonna have at least six catches. He doesn't have
a game this year. He doesn't have I think I
think five may be the least amount of catch he's
had this year. He's getting the football. The last game
they played against the Packers, he had thirteen catches, so
they're finding him.
Speaker 6 (47:05):
They're finding him all the time.
Speaker 5 (47:07):
All right, Kurt, what's your score this week?
Speaker 7 (47:10):
I'm taking the home home field advantage, so it's going
to be thirty five to.
Speaker 5 (47:19):
Twenty six, thirty five, twenty six.
Speaker 1 (47:24):
Now, who's scoring a twenty six?
Speaker 12 (47:26):
You know?
Speaker 5 (47:27):
The Cardinals.
Speaker 7 (47:27):
I'm just a homer.
Speaker 5 (47:28):
You know, Chris, what you got this week?
Speaker 10 (47:32):
Well, I'm all about trends, Okay, So my trend this
week is forty, forty and forty four. So the last
three times at home we've scored over forty points.
Speaker 8 (47:43):
So I'll go with forty. With that for us, Okay,
let's go forty.
Speaker 10 (47:48):
And I'll go twenty four, forty twenty four, Dallas, forty
twenty four Dolls.
Speaker 9 (47:53):
Nate ain't no way, no, no, no, No quarterback with
a bad foot and a tight ain't gonna beat us.
Speaker 5 (48:02):
Cowboys. W I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go.
Speaker 6 (48:05):
I'm with Chris.
Speaker 5 (48:06):
We gotta score forty.
Speaker 3 (48:07):
Now we've reset the bar, so I'm gonna go forty
one thirty five Cowboys.
Speaker 6 (48:15):
Jesse, Yeah, I think the trim breaks. I think the
trem breaks this week, So.
Speaker 1 (48:20):
How bad we're gonna beat him? In the trim brown
for forty or the we're gonna beat him by.
Speaker 5 (48:25):
Forty, or you think you score thirty and you still lose.
Speaker 6 (48:27):
I don't think you can get to thirty.
Speaker 5 (48:29):
All right, what you got?
Speaker 6 (48:30):
I got the Cardinals winning this game thirty to twenty.
Speaker 3 (48:37):
Six, thirty to twenty six. Trey McBride has one hundred
and twenty eight yards and twelve catches.
Speaker 6 (48:43):
I don't trust his defense at all.
Speaker 3 (48:45):
And Kyler Murray rushes for seventy five and throws for
three hundred.
Speaker 6 (48:48):
I don't trust his defense at all.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
Punkin head, I don't think any of us do. Jessey.
Speaker 3 (48:59):
So Monday night, we have Monday off, one less day,
maybe more next week. Chris will let us know on
this Tuesday, Tuesday, same time, same have a good show
out at the stadium. Is it gonna be cold this weekend? Outside?
Speaker 1 (49:14):
Man, as long as the dude with one foot beat us.
Speaker 3 (49:18):
Chris, thanks for keeping us on the air, Josh s
thanks for keeping them company. Everyone, have a safe Halloween
trick or treaty tonight. Get lots of candy. I'm gonna
bring some on the show Monday. We'll be back then
on Tuesday.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
Tuesday that cameras ca yeahs camera.
Speaker 3 (49:38):
Yeah. When you fish your camera, someone gets in my face.
Everybody fish you care? Who is Jesse?
Speaker 5 (49:45):
Wait that's me, that's Nate. Oh yeah, look at that?
Look at that? Uh uh okay, time to go see y'all.
Speaker 2 (49:54):
It's been a production of Dallascowboys dot Com and the
Dallas Cowboys Football Club show
Speaker 13 (50:09):
