Over the past 2 years Robin has been working for Samsung as Chief Enterprise Innovation Officer, where she started a business for Samsung as an Interpreneur. Robin spent 22 years at AT&T (retired) where she led over 30,000 employees at and was dedicated to building a scalable and reliable enterprise class network. Robin also spent 6 years at BlackBerry as Chief Information Officer. Robin demonstrates how one can be innovative, lead thousands of people, create businesses within large businesses and yet stay customer and people relevant. We discuss how culture can kill a strategy in a business. Robin states that sometimes culture can get you into the business and scale but will not keep you in business. Hence you want that culture where the organization evolves to lead market trends by having deep insight, allows for innovation and where you want that employee who wants to be with the company for 40 years We explore the concept of Inclusion Officers, put there so the company does the right thing for their people. And we finish our conversation with the responsibility of boards and companies alike to look beyond shareholder value (as it has been traditionally been defined).
