For the 175th episode of the Healthcare IT Today Podcast, I am joined not only by our usual co-host, Colin Hung, but also by Brittany Quemby to discuss the digital front door experience and Epic UGM! We kick this episode off with Brittany sharing a recent experience she had in the ER for a personal look at the digital front door experience. We also analyze whether there was any automation during her ER stay. Next, we share what digital front door tech we wish our providers had.
Epic’s annual UGM conference ended a couple of weeks ago, and thankfully, I was able to attend. I share my experience being at the conference, as well as what the big takeaway from a digital front door perspective was. Lastly, we conclude this episode by discussing our thoughts on Epic’s announcement for a single sign-on for patients into MyChart (See also our interview with Epic about MyChart), allowing you to log in with the same credentials no matter which provider you go to.
