A partir de 1986 il commence à jouer de la guitare classique, puis en grandissant il évolue vers le Rock d'abord, puis le Blues.
Aujourd’hui, Don se produit avec le Don Diego Trio, (qui est né des cendres du groupe Adels, groupe néo-rockabilly fondé en 1994) dans un répertoire fait de Rockabilly, Country, Western Swing, Blues et Rock and Roll; des styles musicaux sous influence Italienne liée aux origines siciliennes de Don Diego.
Le trio se compose de :
- Don Diego - guitare et chant.
- Giulio Farinelli - contrebasse.
- Andy Caligaris - batterie.
