This week on I Doth Protest, we dive a little deeper into why scientists left their research labs and flooded the streets on Earth Day, April 22, for the March for Science. Mark Asplen and Kate Ries, two science professors at Metropolitan State University, discuss how science plays more of an important role in our society than we might think and how they hope to bring science to the forefront of policy making. I also interview some march-goers, including a University of Minnesota science professor who attended the march with a giant moose and a woman who had a unique way of spreading a message about pollinators.
