I originally wrote part of this podcast for my blog in January 2019, which bubbled up following conversations in more ‘mainstream’ platforms about the abuse of minors. I hate this is ‘relevant’ again, cause for Survivors, it’s never been a trend.
Last night, i attended a community twitterspace discussing recent (but decades old) conversations around yet another person and their enablers, which, due to them being ‘high profile’ and thus granted power via systems in place, have continued to harm. I heard and felt the pain of many who bravely shared their stories, calling for change. I hate that we are still here. Calling out. Stepping forward and speaking up (and all the energy it takes to do so). Ever-hoping for change.
I send all Survivors of abuse much care and healing.
