podcast notes, right, you know, like our little podcast script, and
(02:00):
it had the notes in it fromour very last live podcast. Let me
tell you what the hot topics were. Oh yeah, please do. Jonathan
Major's got arrested. Stop Nah escapeversus s w V. Wow. Tamar
announces engagement to j R. Robinson. Wow. Shirlee Ralph reveals she was
(02:23):
sexually assaulted by a famous TV judge. Damn girl, listen remember that.
I'm like jan Levan Zaan says shewas open to polygamy. Oh yeah,
wow, everybody to the bed, beloves everybody to the bed. Not on
(02:47):
my watch. You need to stopgutter snipes. Wow, wait, I
got more. Fulton County detention officerKawana Jenkins fired and charged after sex acts
with the inmate, was captured oncontrabands. Self remember that? Remember that?
(03:13):
Damn she was patting that kitty forthat. Yeah, it was wilding.
In March twenty twenty three. Ohno, twenty twenty four. Wait,
no, twenty twenty three, yes, because we are twenty twenty four.
Now we lose time. I feellike that that pandemic threw us.
I like, yeah, it threwus. It's like a time lapse something
(03:34):
because sometimes I'd be like, oh, that was just two years ago.
Like no, that was seven yearsago. Yeah, no, seriously,
And listen. Even Marcill files fordivorce from Michael Sterling after five years of
marriage. That is the kind ofstuff like we announced that Romeo welcomed his
second daughter. Oh my goodness, you was renewed for a fifth season.
(03:59):
John Week four had came out intheaters. Yo, well wow, yeah,
so that is how long it's beensince our last And listen. Janet
Jackson was not playing when she saidfunny how times time flies when you straight
up insert whatever you want to bedoing life life. And it's crazy though,
because like when you reallyate when youstarted like saying some of those things,
(04:24):
I'm sitting back like them that feltlike that didn't feel like a year
ago. I know, didn't Iknow you know what I'm saying. It
was like, wow, we backedthough, we back host, So listen
what. I'm sorry, I'm looseningmy hands. Do y'all want to get
that? Sm Asi gonna need youto do that. Did you wait?
(04:44):
Did you peep? Because I justgot a little woman. Did you peep
ray J on the Breakfast Club thismorning? It was all about his ash
she ass head girl. Yeah, ray J life is ashy right now,
it's right. But please go listento that. I mean, not since
to that. Visually watch that. You can't it's not going to do the
same thing for you if you justlisten to it. Please go watch that.
(05:05):
I need you too. It's veryvery entertained. We're gonna talk about
ray J a little bit too.I need to make a note to come
back and talk about ray J becauseI just feel like he'd be spiraling.
But we'll get we'll get to that. Talk to you that loation girl that
it just triggered it. When yousay it, you understand why. Okay,
(05:25):
Okay, so Carla, let's talkabout Well, first of all,
we have no excuse as to whywe haven't podcasts in over a year.
And I say we have no excusebecause you can't excuse life like life be
life it do it? Really doI'm just saying and there's no excuse for
(05:46):
that. And I'm going to tellyou Carl and I had the best intentions.
I promise. We even bought newequipment everything. We were promising to
bring this podcast back. Yes,but okay, so Carla, let's do
this since our last podcast. Sharethree things that has happened or like life
(06:06):
events or things that have changed aboutyou or things that have changed around you,
like give our ICC friends three updatesover the past years since our last
podcast. Okay, uh, One, I had to I had to stop
eating beef. The word yeah,I like I was. It was weird,
(06:28):
like I had fake and I thinkI can't remember what moth this.
I feel like it was September.I feel like I need to go further
back. But anyway, and forlike two days, I feel like I
was down bad. I was downbad. I was down bad. So
I ignored it. You know sometimesyou just bet they get like, oh,
maybe I ate too much. Maybeyeah, so then I ate like
ox tails maybe like a week later, same thing. So when you say
(06:50):
down bad, like what are youexperienced, like like like cramp, my
stomach was cramping, like it wasbad, Like I think it doesn't.
It's just the digestion of it.Like it's just because you know, they
always say red meat is meat, period, it's hard to digest. But
red meat is really really hard todigest. I've always I've had family members
stop eating beef years ago because ofit. But you know me, I'm
(07:12):
like, have you ever heard wherepeople say, like, after you eat
read meat, to take a applike that night and just a tablespoon appleside
of vinegar. No. I neverhelped break it down. Ayah, that
makes sense. Never heard that youdo that? No, man, but
they say you should. Yeah, but I tell you what they said.
(07:34):
I tell you what they said. But am I doing it? Maybe maybe
I should try it? But itwasn't just that I just started trying to.
I'm not perfect. I kind ofmade some lifestyle changes as far as
like how I eat because I justdidn't like feeling like that. So that's
one. Two. I guess thisdoesn't necessarily have to do with me.
But I pulled, you know,But for everyone else I pulled. My
(07:57):
son is in private school. Now, it was like a battle when private
schools listen. It's still now,it's still a bat, but it's no
it's a lot better. But anyonethat knows for you, Like years,
I've been battling school district and allthat good stuff. So finally we kind
of came to an agreement and thatstuff. So he's he's at a good
place now. And then three.I just had three and I lost it.
(08:20):
Mm hmmm, I don't remember.Memory is going, yeah, oh
of April or last year. Youknow this too, I delivered a baby.
I helped deliver a baby. Thatwas probably the most exciting thing that
happened to me last year. Okay, you got to give a little bit
of detail, all right, Idon't want to, don't need to start.
(08:41):
Don't start. Because I called heryo, y'all. I called her
and was like, oh my god, I was so emotional. But anyway,
long story short, my neighbors,uh baby father came to the door
one morning and he's asking me,like he's like, I think my girlfriend.
I think she's going into labor withhospitals they weren't really familiar with,
like the area they had hadn't beenthere that long with hospital. So I'm
(09:03):
like thinking about which hospital boom boom, So I'm googling, like as I'm
googling him, like looking like I'mgoing to google him the directions to the
hospital that I thought they should goto. I'm outside now, mind you,
I'm coming out. He knocked tomy door. This is now I'm
outside to meet him. He justruns back out of his house and he's
like, no, no, Ineed to call nine one one. She's
having a baby. Now, Likeit literally went from hey, can you
(09:26):
see what hospital we should take herto? I think she's in labor,
to like call nine on one.Now this is all within like a sixty
second maybe ninety second period. Right, So now I'm out. I'm still
outside. I'm calling nine on one. I'm on the phone, excuse me
with the nine one one dispatcher. So I'm explaining her, you know,
my neighbor. I think she's inlabor. So she's like, well,
how far are her contraction? SoI'm like huh in my head, like
(09:48):
I don't know. I'm outside likeher. He's like, little UZI bird,
I don't know. I've only beenout here like two days. Right,
I'm out, but you know,so she's like, well, I
need you just really, you know, I need to find it out.
So now I'm like i go tothe door and I knock first, and
then I go in and I like, yo, like, how far do
(10:09):
you think the contractions are? Mindjump? Yell on this to a man?
You know how many? Like Iknow at the time, I wasn't
thinking. So he's like, Idon't know. Then I just hear like
the scream like as he's telling mehe doesn't know. So I'm like,
man, she's screaming. I'm tellingNaman, you hear her right here screaming.
So with they're clothes right. Soafter that, he just comes out
and he's like, the head iscoming out. The head is coming out,
(10:30):
girl, I tell now on onedispatch. I'm like, look,
y'all got to get here now.She said, the head's coming out.
She's like, ma'am, I hate. As soon as she said, man,
I hate to do this. Ialready knew what time it was.
She's I need you to make sureshe's sleeped. So she went through the
whole process now, and the goodpart was Dad already had her like she's
already like prepped, like in thebed or whatever. So crazy part is
(10:50):
like, mind, y'all, Idon't really have a close relate like we
we talked but I don't have aclose close relationship with y'all. Just cool,
y'all, cool grade. Yeah.Now, yes, child, I'm
trying legs open like I'm a damnbecause you ain't got the stir of things.
Okay, we strong. Let metell y'all something. We are strong
(11:15):
when we are giving birth. Thisgirl literally is probably one hundred and thirty
five three one hundred and thirty poundssoaking wet. When I tell y'all just
to try to hold one of herlegs that I got beat up so bad,
just making sure that because the headwas already like you could see the
top. She wanted them people thatwas cutting the food. Yes, could
you know some of us cut thefood? It's me me because I had
(11:35):
a nurse that cuts me out.You are going to kill that. She's
like, you'll kill that, y'allbecause I was trying to close. Why
do we want to naturally close ourlegs? But anyway, I got what
you want to naturally? Yeah.Yeah, So long story short, she
tells me what to do. Wefinally get her. He's like, I
thought he was great. Pass outhe on the other side, mind,
(11:56):
y'all. He like, yeah, real quick, y'all everybody that this weights
and look big. Okay, ain'tthat goddamn strong. I'm just gonna say
it like that, right, I'mlike, damn, he should be holding
both me. I'm looking over onhis side. He anyway, bestie,
I'm honestly the best feeling in theworld, y'all allowed to you, not
like it's one thing to have ababy, but when you feel I actually
(12:18):
felt that baby's features like in myhands, right, So that kind of
was the coolest part. So longstory short, the baby got to like
I delivered to it got to maybehis shoulders, and all I heard was
like, hello, this is theambulance and I'm just screaming, like and
yo, would I tell you?I was like not trying to get to
a point where like the baby wasout because now they're steps, you know
(12:39):
what I'm saying. I'm yeah,but yes, I delivered a baby and
it was I still remember like itwas yesterday. It was the coolest feeling
in the world, honestly. Yeah, oh yeah, that can you do
my next, pap So you're soout of pocket, man, listen,
we ain't doing it. We ain'teven coming back. Like people make me
(13:00):
feel uncomfortable when I gotta go inthere, ma'am, could you scoot your
butt to the end of the table. No, wow, your best friend
just with that girl stopped playing Slidedown you yuys. Yeah, I need
you to drop your three because you'vegotta I want to see girls wanna yeah.
Oh oh oh girl? How haveyou changed microphone? Oh shoot,
(13:26):
it ain't charged up. You're lucky. You slipping, You're slipping, all
right. So let's start with thepositive. Since the last podcast, I
have a second grand baby. Ohyes, that's the biggest. My second
grand baby, Ivy was born onOctober twenty third, twenty twenty three.
(13:48):
And when I tell y'all, sheis a whopper. She is absolutely beautiful.
She is. She is so happy, and she probably weighs like two
hundred pounds. You ain't gonna dothat like that. She is so y'all
real quick not to try to stealher shine. She's got the most beautiful
well, both of her grand babiesare beautiful. Ivy is like she looks
(14:11):
like a doll. She does, she does. She looks like a doll.
Baby. She's so beautiful. Butyou're not on the gabbage petch I
can't wait to meet her a person. Yo, you need Oh my goodness,
yes, I have another grand baby. I got sued. We were
sticking with the positive. How yougonna jump right now? Now? I
(14:33):
gotta keep it a bean. Igotta let these people know why my hair
is thinner while my stomach is bigger, and while I got more wrinkles in
my face, I got sued yea. And yeah, I ended up having
to settle out because uh, youknow how they say your arms too short
the box with God, like mybank account was too short the box in
(14:56):
court. So I ended up tosettle out. And and yeah number three
is I'm broke, so we ain'teven gonna do. I need you now,
y'all gonna have to listen to thispodcast. Can start paying any merch
I drop, or I'm gonna haveto start selling Kuchie. And y'all don't
want that because Carla will not domy pap smears to make sure that that
(15:18):
I'm above board. Yo, Sothis gucci will not be FDA approved.
So approved, y'all lord, notnot no, not me, got tears
in my nose, no Lord,Yeah, this couchie will not be y'all
don't want me to start selling themarket. Now. I know you gotta
(15:39):
keep it. I know you gottakeep it a bean, but it's something
else. I feel like there wassomething now what else was? Yo?
I literally feel like my whole yearwas fighting a lawsuit and trying to do
this business afloat because yeah, andplease read the stories on ice creamcabos dot
com because one day y'all gonna pullup and the door is gonna be live.
(16:00):
I'm just saying, don't play withme. My patience is I just
you know what, Okay, I'mgonna give number four. Number four is
I am in recovery mode. Iam in recovery mode, and I guess
that's like a positive shift on it. I'm in recovery mood. It's a
new season. Yeah, I meanthe rebirth. The rebirth we gonna call
(16:22):
it. I'm telling you, wecanna make this thing positive. Now.
Listen. The fact that we backon this podcast is the first pactive sign
that we are in the good foot. But if someone told if someone made
a movie about my twoenty twenty three, the title of the movie would be
called Because that's all I can lookat the mirror and say. Sometimes like
(16:48):
what like it was so full ofyou cannot be serious right now? Are
you getting me? But I amgrateful that I have an amazing village of
friends. I have you, Ihave my family because to you in a
class of your own, Carla, because you play bestie, you play therapist,
(17:11):
you play pastor, you play prayerpartner police like yeah, like,
hey, that's what we do.That's what we do. The corrections officer,
you done kept me out of jail. Just it's a number of reasons
for me just to be, youknow, really grateful to you. But
through it all, I do haveto realize that I have survived one hundred
That's what I'm saying exactly, ofall the BS that I've been through,
(17:34):
You're still standing. I feel likewe need to cue that mon because listen,
I'm still standing by my legs isa ted wobbley. I'm just gonna
keep it a ped but I mean, I'm still here and I'm in recovery
mode. So right now, it'sjust really about trying to get back on
my dean, like I'm ready to. I really want to pivot. Ice
(17:56):
cream conbos. I talked about thisa little bit and a met with my
publishing partner, But I kind ofwant to pivot ice Cream Conbos into the
entertainment space a little bit more. You know, I give y'all the celebrity
news because that's what y'all want,that's what y'all be chewing on, that's
what y'all love. But the celebritynews can be the meat and potatoes,
(18:18):
but I would like entertainment to bethe dessert. And I realized, I
mean, ice Cream Convos is inits fourteenth year, and I now realize
that all these years I've been doingcelebrity news and entertainment because that's what my
audience loves. And at one pointin time, I used to enjoy it
too, just the celebrity news sideof things. Excuse me, But now
(18:41):
it's getting to the point where it'slike, I'm tired of watching what everybody
doing, just to turn around andtell y'all what they're doing. Because people
are so goofy. And it's notjust the people that you know in the
neighborhood or at the job and allthat. Celebrities are super goofy, and
they got money so they can payto be extra goofy or give them extra
attention because they have the tax celebrityon them, and I'm really really getting
(19:03):
burned out on that. So Iwas like, how can I balance ice
cream combos to have something for myaudience but something for me? Right?
And y'all know, I love movies, I love TV and trailers dropping I
either. I came to Philadelphia fromAtlanta and made Carla and her husband Carlos
sit in the living room and watchmovie trailers that had music in the background.
(19:29):
That was dope though, that wasdope. That was dope. You
are a true, true, truemovie buff man. I love it.
You are. I'm loving it.Yeah. I wouldn't even say like you
just enjoy you enjoy it from fromyou know, cast from the top to
the bottom of a movie production stylists, Like you're the only person I think
(19:51):
I've had conversations with about like thestylists and who styles the wardrobes and movies
and stuff like that, So youreally do. I wouldn't say that shit.
That's yeah. And I'm also creatinganother little movie buff in my life.
Destiny is becoming quite the movie buff. And so you know, that's
right up my alley. I gotanother person there. Yes, So now
(20:14):
like we are Literally when I goto screenings now, I'm always asking for
three tickets because typically I will takeJB. But now I'm like, hey,
y'all, got one more seat becausemy daughter want to come. And
she's coming like to check out filmsthat typically a fifteen year old wouldn't care
about. And she's older too nowand she's had a cool you can actually
take her to them and we cantalk about some real life teen slash young
(20:37):
adult type stuff like she she enjoyedOrigin okay, the Ava Duverne film,
she enjoyed American fiction, and theseare films that aren't really geared towards teens.
And now we'll watch a film andshe'll look at me. I was
like, Yoda cinematography. She'd belike, yeah, they ate they ate
that, like so we like, you know, so I'm really really enjoying
(20:57):
that. I'm trying to push herinto a movie podcast with me, but
I'm like yeah, yeah, yeah. So with that being said, I
just want to kind of transition intoentertainment. But at the same time,
it's for me. But if it'snot going to be profitable, then I
(21:22):
may be shooting myself in the foot. So at the same time, so
celebrity news will have to remain atthe forefront because that's profitable. But I
still want to do that entertainment sidejust for me personally. Like I didn't
have the opportunity to tell you,but I would love to tell you on
the podcast that today I am supposedto be interviewing Lashawna Lynch, who played
(21:44):
Rita Marley and Bob Marley. Wow, that's awesome. Nice, let's get
together and be yes, yes, because number one, she is so dope,
Like, this woman is an amazingactress. She ate down as Destiny
(22:08):
would say, and Bob Marlee wonlove. Desney even loved that film.
She's like, yeah, she's into biopics, and so I'm just so
excited to talk to her. That'sawesome. I can't. Yeah, I'm
excited to talk to her for anumber of reasons. So Okay, So
I guess now that we got youall caught up, what we're gonna do
(22:30):
now is we're gonna go ahead andtake a break, and when we come
back, we are going to talkabout Yeah, we're speaking of celebrity news.
People been coming to Fool so wecan give you an update on Jonathan
Majors, because the last time wetalked to you, he had just got
arrested. That's why it's so that'sso funny, the irony literally a year
later, So now I realize likehe's been going through this world. Who
(22:51):
whole year? A whole year,Majors. What has changed in your life?
Yeah? Yeah, Jonathan, wouldyou like to update this on and
I'm still fighting his damn. We'regonna give you an update on Ariana Grande.
We're gonna talk about the quiet onthe set docuseries that has the Internet
(23:15):
and shambles. Bruno Mars may havea vice or he may not. The
verdict is still out on that. We're gonna talk about ozippic oh oh oh
ozam, the fact that them jinglesoh for for meds now are Okay,
I'm better pay attention to Okay. We're gonna talk about Amanda Seals and why
(23:38):
she is feeling some type of wayand why I totally understand and feel her
pain. And we're gonna talk aboutray J since Carla added him to the
docket. So we're gonna take abreak and we'll be right back. Go
ahead to use the bathroom, grabsome water, call a friend, let
us let them know the ice CreamCombos podcast is back. Okay, I
(24:06):
see see friends, we are back. Excuse me. Okay, So I'm
speaking of Jonathan Majors. So,since we talked to you last, Jonathan
Majors has gone through a whole trialand he was convicted of reckless assault and
harassment for allegedly assaulting his ex girlfriendGrace Jabbari. But now Grace Jabbari has
(24:32):
filed a lawsuit against Jonathan. Ohwait, let me rewind. Since the
last time we talked to you,Jonathan Major's done, been fired by Marvel
and Disney. He's dating Megan goodnow. And yeah, so let'sten back
to the lawsuit. Grace Djabari filedthe lawsuit and New York Federal Court on
Tuesday, March nineteenth, accusing Jonathana battery, assault, intentional infliction of
(24:56):
emotional distress, malicious prosecution, anddeaf So some of you know, when
I posted this on the site, some of the feedback I was getting was
like, what does she mean inintentional infliction of emotional distress and malicious prosecution
and defamation. The reason why shehas these particular claims in her lawsuit is
(25:18):
because when Jonathan Major's got arrested forinitially like I think it was like assault
or whatever on her, and shewas saying, hey, he did this,
that and the third to me duringtheir relationship. Jonathan then in turn
said no, it was her.She was the aggressor. She was the
one that was violent. And sonow that he's been convicted, now she
(25:41):
has some wiggle room to turn aroundand say, oh, on an intentional
infliction of emotional distress, malicious prosecution, and defamation, like he lied on
me saying it was me. Buthe's the one who got convicted of right
rasment, right right. But inthis lawsuit, there's just one little piece
(26:03):
part that I want to point out. During the trial, it was brought
up that Grace Dubari had evidence thatproved that Jonathan Major's actually assaulted her,
and this proof was text messages betweenher and Jonathan. Now, at some
point in time, she and Jonathanlived together overseas. I forgot exactly where,
but I'm just going to throw adoor at the map and say London.
(26:27):
But they were living overseas together.I think he was filming a project,
not exactly sure what it was,but it was around September twenty twenty
two, and the text messages andin the text exchange, Grace was telling
Jonathan that she was hurt. Herhead was hurting really, really bad,
and she felt like she needed togo to the hospital to get medical attention.
(26:49):
And Jonathan was in his thread backto her, he was trying to
talk her out of going to thehospital because he said, and I quote
to do do do do do?Wait? Let me me find what he
said. What he said, Ifear you have no perspective of what could
happen. If you go to thehospital, they will ask you questions,
(27:11):
and as I don't think you actuallyprotect us, it could lead to an
investigation even if you do lie andthey suspect something. So then Grace was
like, I'll tell the doctor Ibump my head. If I go,
I'm going to go give it.I'm going to give it one more day.
I can't sleep and I need strongerpainkillers. That's all. Why would
I tell them what really happened whenit's clear I want to be with you.
(27:34):
Jonathan took it a step further andsaid, last night I consider killing
myself versus coming home. I needlove too, or maybe I'm such a
monster and a horrible man. Idon't deserve it, and I should just
kill myself. And this way myexistence is miserable. I want to die.
So Grace is like in her whitewoman bag, I will not go
(27:55):
to the doctor if you don't feelsafe with me doing so, or don't
trust me to promise. I wouldnever mention you, but I understand your
fear. So Jonathan was like,Okay, this is working all right,
so let me go ahead and giveit one more. I will probably kill
myself. It's not really contemplating anymore. I'm a monster, a horrible man,
not capable of love. I'm killingmyself soon. Crazy manipulation at its
(28:22):
best thought, it's manipulation at itsbest, at its core. Yeah,
we had these text messages during thetrial, but we didn't know like the
details of what transpired on that fatefulday on September twenty twenty two. Right.
Well, in this lawsuit we getthe details. And in this lawsuit
(28:42):
it alleges that initially Grace and Jonathan, Grace Jabari and Jonathan Majors had an
argument last night we had in nowmeet told me and love me. Okay,
So this argument escalated and at somepoint, Jonathan end quotes from the
(29:03):
lawsuit, pushed Grace so hard thatit bruised her backside. Now, if
you push somebody in the bruises theirbackside, you push them. They fell
to the ground and boom booty right, but the lawsuit continues. Then he
picked Grace up in the air andthrew her against the hood of her car.
They were outside, okay. Thesuit also alleges that Jonathan Major's brought
(29:30):
Grace back into their house, heldhis hands around her neck, stating that
he wanted to kill her and thathe was going to kill her. Majors
then started hitting Grace's head against themarble floor while strangling her until she could
no longer breathe. This woman wastexting this man because she needed to go
(29:52):
to the hospital because more than likelyshe has suffered a concussion or some type
of head trauma. That's crazy. You only threatened to kill yourself when you
know he knows the moment that womanwalked into that hospital. Dumb folks was
gonna know what when? Yeah, yeah, they't. Now they've seen him
before. They've seen a million ofa million of her before. Like you
(30:15):
know, you can't you can't hideit they know blunt for as trauma from
somebody punching or throwing somebody or andshe talking about I'm gonna just tell them
I bumped my head and every time. Here's the thing, And I know,
like the public is split on this, Like you have a group of
folks that's like, listen, Iknow I'm rooting for everybody black, but
(30:38):
something in the milk and clean whenit comes to Jonathan Matrix, like,
where there's smoke, there is fire, And as my great grandmother would say,
everybody ain't gonna tell the same lieon you. I know that's right
for real, that's the truth.Because all of his old college girlfriends have
come forward. I am in aspace and I feel comfortable saying that I
am in the everybody ain't going tothe same lie on you. I feel
(31:00):
like whatever they say he did,he did that. Like that's the bag
I'm in. When it comes toJonathan Majors, I still feel like he
has redeeming qualities, but I haveto be one thousand percent honest and say
when I read stuff like this ina lawsuit, I'm like, Meghan,
good, what is you doing?Yeah, That's how I feel too,
(31:21):
especially like that was the most surprisingthing to me, like the time and
of her and him getting because thatwas like very wasn't that like question does
it during or like right after allthese allegations they're not even allegations anymore because
he's been convicted, right and it'snot allegations anymore. So y'all can't sue
me for saying, Yeah, onceyou've been convicted, you've been whatever you
(31:42):
want to say, it's been, you've been convicted. So he started dating
Megan like right after that, rightlike when when was the time? Cruly
after he got arrested. It wasalmost like a pr package. That's what
was like, like, what's herangle? What is I want to know?
What what is? Like first thingI thought about it was like,
what's her goal? What's the endgamewith this? That's when I when I
(32:04):
first heard they were dating, Like, what's the end game? Because the
ain't nowhere in the world, youknow, after seeing and hearing and knowing
all of that what he did toher what's her name A Grace Debrace?
Sorry, yes, you would justjump into a relationship as a as a
black woman. I'm gonna just keepit, keep it a buck. I
can't I don't get it. Okay, there are number ways to look at
(32:28):
this, and we're going to explorethem. Number One, the only the
obvious explanation is this a PR package. But the fact that they still running
around together after his conviction leads meto believe there may be a little bit
more to the story. So couldit have possibly began as a PR package?
(32:50):
Because you go get Black America's Hollywooddarling, Megan Good like, Megan
is unproblematic, Megan is sweet.I mean, the only thing that she
really did that disturbed us was thoseyou know, strange eyebrows. Like that
was the only issue like we reallytook with her. She married the pastor
and tried to be a first lady, but she gave it her best shot.
(33:14):
Well, okay, because that's notnoody city girl sexy red Un dropped
a new single like, I don'tknow, pastor, I'm trying to hit
this red carpet and I'm I amtrying to cover it up my belly,
but and I don't know what we'regonna do over here. Yeah, I
was surprised by that. That that'sdefinitely I agree. I think it's got
(33:37):
to be a PR I had tostart out as a PR package because like,
this is, like you said, this has been going on for what
they've been together for a year?Yeah? Yeah, so had she been
running around waiting for almost if notalmost a yeah? Okay, So if
we take a PR package off thetable and Megan Good honestly and genuinely started
(33:59):
dating this man and saw something sexyin his civil rights swag like this right
swag? You need to stop.He looked like he'd been pluged, Like
(34:20):
what are we doing? What isa classic okay, straight out of Rosewood.
So then I'm like, okay, what would be the attraction to someone
who was just arrested for us allegedlywell now configured it, Yeah, of
assaulting their girlfriend? So was itthat, Megan, you don't believe women?
(34:43):
And you were like he said thathe ain't do it, so I'm
with him, or or I didn'tmean to cut you off Like everyone off.
We all think we're the one thatchanging and fixing and molding. I
think it's what Yes, I thinkthat's what it might be. Tell me
how effect if you're molding or healingor changing is to a dude has been
who has been accused of mentally andphysically abusing women since he was in college
(35:12):
all the way up until last March. Yeah, listen, maybe her COUCHI
FDA approved, but I don't know, like, I mean, at what
point? So then it's like,do you not believe women who say they
have been abused by a man?And I'm not going to act like we
don't know that there are women wholie. I'm not going to act like
(35:35):
that. But I've seen pictures ofthis woman's injuries. Okay, I all
know how she sustained them, butshe had injuries, and I want to
get out of like this thing ofI'm not saying that everyone convicted is always
guilty. Okay, bad damn liketheir majority at a time, no,
(35:55):
not even majority. I'll take thatback. I'm gonna say seventy at the
time they write. And like yousaid, with her smoke, theirs fire,
everyone is not going to keep sayingthe same thing about you for no
for no reason. It's just notI've never seen it. I've never seen
a group of people come together totell one just to go around and just
(36:16):
lie on someone on this web.Man, It's just like today we're gonna
do this. We're gonna spin inthis bottle and oh it's Jonathan Major.
So today is Jonathan Major's turn. But I just don't understand Megan. And
this is definitely a strike on herrecord because there are people who are side
(36:37):
eyeing the hell out of her andjust wondering like why s this? Yeah,
but she's his coretta. He foundhis coretta. I don't even know
if I'm JB's Corretta. I've gotmore like, Okay, Carla, what
(36:58):
what notable? Oh my gosh,I knew you was going to go there.
I gotta think what public figure, whether it be entertainment, sports,
movies, films, civil rights, would Carlos say, like Carlos would label
you as, Like, oh mygosh, let me think too, because
(37:21):
it's a good one, because Idefinitely know I'm not I'm gonna tell you,
I know I'm not Carlos' Coretta either, but I don't know. I'm
trying to think show. I'm moreprobably like I'm gonna take it all the
way back. I'm probably like Carlosis wheezy to his George at this point,
I'm listen. At this point,I'm Florida Evans, the JB's James
(37:44):
Listen, why you hell not thatI think about it, because I done
broke some stuff up in here.Damn, damn. I got three kids.
Hold on, hold on, holdon, it's happening. I got
three kids. Oh shoot, okay, hold on, hold on, hold
(38:05):
on, let me set my hairis natural. I got your three kids
right now. I'm in a financialdeficit. I'm keeping up my head above
water, and I'm making away whenI can temporary l oh your busty though,
that's the only thing that don't lineup, because I ain't no w
Loana, yeah, Loana, No, everybody's in business. Yeah yeah,
(38:31):
don't do that. Don't do that. No, no, no, no,
hold on, hold on. Hearme out. Hear out my argument
for Wolona. Okay, hold on, no, no, no, no,
now see, I ain't okay,Carla, I ain't trying to fire
shots at you, right right,Nah, go ahead. You ain't newsy
right. You are a concerned citizen. And Wolona was misunderstood. She was
(38:57):
a concern citizen. She elevader wasn'tworking. She knew when that girl had
got pregnant on the upstairs floor, remember the one. She ain't one penny.
No, I forgot all about that. Well, you are Larry's concern
citizen, and she was a hellof a friend to Florida. Well,
I like how you was, likehow you cleaned that up. Listen,
(39:21):
already had one child. That's true, that's true. C J. Carla
you my Wallona baby. Florida's lookyou are, Carlos is weezy, but
you get the weezy at George.Think right, I'm just looking at it
(39:42):
because listen, what think Carlo's gonnado? Is he a whoop a little
ass in a heartbeat? Was tallerand was bigger than bigger George Man.
Okay, so that's it. Floridaused to encourage James, because I'll be
encouraging JB. That's Jos. That'sFlorida was a dedicated mother. I'm a
(40:08):
dedicated and you are strong spiritual woman. Florida was very spiritual. Man.
Something there it is now we lookat the children. Oh yeah, that's
all My Destey is my Thelma.Wait, Desney might be my Michael.
That's my Michael. Destiny is yourMichael. That's why I'm laughing that's your
(40:30):
Michael. Destiny is my Michael Marshawan. J J don't know because Mark JJ
and Thelma. Marshawn and Johnisia area mash up of both of them,
because I'm gonna get a little bitof JJ and a little bit of Thelma
out of both of them. AndJohnnicia can dancer behind all. So yeah,
(40:51):
true, true, mm hmm.Marshaan, I just think I got
the women and stuff with JJ.That's that's why I'm saying. Yeah,
that's work. It's called riz now. But yes, oh my god,
Okay, that's funny. Yeah,So I'm gonna keep you posted on this
(41:13):
Grace Jabbari lawsuit against Jonathan Majors.Jonathan Major's attorney did say, and let
me go ahead and just put goon record with this. His attorney,
whose name is Priya Chandry, saidthat Grace Jabari's lawsuit comes as no surprise,
and mister Majors is preparing counterclaims againstMs Jabbari. Bro, But you're
(41:34):
gonna sue her talking too much goodluck, because you've already been convicted in
the court for criminal once. Everyoneknows, like, once you're convicted in
criminal court, civil it's it's easy, it's easy peasy in civil court.
Now, what you're gonna sue herfor tell him right, man, Okay,
I'll go back to that thing realquick. You might be on to
something, because you know what,I just thought about something and y'all gonna
(41:57):
say what y'all want. I justrealized I like telling on people. No,
I'm sorry, y'all just had amoment I should have been, yo,
the moment. I love telling. And what I mean by that is,
I don't mean I'll tell everything.I truly my my business. I'm
talking about telling on people doing thewrong thing. Like I'm so like,
(42:19):
I think I've gotten to an agewhere I'm like, damn it, you
are old, not on my watch, and go yeah, straight up,
not on my dead watch. Youalready know it too. But I said,
thank you. I just had acouple of Jesus women with my son.
I like telling on people. Shit, let me tell you, but
let me tell you something in yourdefense. When when we talk about Carly
telling on people, we ain't talkingabout No Gunner telling on people. We
(42:44):
talking about neighborhood Alderman Davis type wereback on good time, y'all. Sorry,
we all this is what this iswhat you get, yep, listen,
I'm so happy to be back.Absolutely be the first person to tell
you everything in life. And ifyou don't believe me, I dare you
(43:05):
to challenge me? Everything in lifereverts back to an episode of Martin or
Good Times. Dare you You mighthave to throw the Jefferson's in there.
But oh, Fred Sam and Sign. There's a couple of things I just
thought about. We do. Ithink all like those black those early black
sickoms are like, you can literallyeverything in life you can go back to
(43:30):
relate. I will pick an episode. That's why it meant so much to
us. It was so relatable. That is so true. I don't know
what these these young people want tohave now, Like what do they look
back at loving hip hop? About? What is their oldie Yo, that's
a whole show. Like what istheir nostalgic or oldies? Like? Oh
what shows will are like yeap,oh my gosh, yeah, sorry for
(43:57):
you. Destiney watching The Bachelor withme? That's all she got, Like
the Batcher, because this generation reallyhold on because we might have describe the
rest of this stuff we want totalk about. Because you think about it,
streaming services are only providing limited seriesfilms, you know, a one
off series, you know a tenpack. That's all you're getting. You
(44:20):
are not getting that sitcom and theupshaws, ain't it? Sorry? No,
sorry, y'all. And I loveeverybody, I love Wanda, I
love I Like. It's just notit. We grew up with our shows,
you know what I mean. Youwere raised on certain shows. You
was raised on it. I wasraised on Sanford and Son of Jefferson's and
Good Times, And you know, you woke up, you went to school,
(44:44):
you came home like it's these showsand they went on for years.
Most of them had at least fivesix seasons. At least Jefferson's went like
that. I think nine eight, and I think and I think for some
reason, I don't know why thisis sitting in my spirit, but I
feel like Good Times had seven seasons. Yeah, I think so too.
Damn Like we watch Martin go fromlike them getting married to them falling out.
(45:07):
The show got weird and it gotcanceled. But to him signing and
signing the wall on the set, girl, why does still get me upset
when you sign at yo, that'swhere Will Smith stood in that empty living
room. Oh yeah, yeah, that might that might take. That might
be a little damn I'm getting chillbums. That's crazy, But that shows
(45:28):
you. But that that shows youthat attachment. They they're not going to
have that they these this generation willnever know Judy Winslow going upstairs and never
coming back down stairs. They willnever know. This generation will never know.
They will never know Webster getting adoptedby the white the white peoples.
(45:51):
They will never know Arnold and willisthat mister Drummond going down there at the
world don't move, just want Theyain't even got good sitcom the songs they
don't. That's why I've told youthe part taking over the jingle, Yeah,
(46:14):
like they got it. Dang,it's in the same people singing them
too. We are I'm so ADHDthat when GOV songs sound similar, that
lady sound like the same lady.No ozempic is like a I don't know,
I don't know. Okay, wehere, wait, wait while we're
here, because this is the adah D Podcast. While we are here,
(46:34):
what was your favorite, like yourtop favorite theme songs growing up?
Now, we're gonna exclude the songlike the shows that we already loved because
you know, at the end ofthe Jeffersons when Wolona ate last he done
out good times. Yeah, Iwould saying, so don't name so you
said without naming Okay, so let'sget it like okay, so different strokes
(46:59):
had the world don't move to thebet you just one was I so loved?
Like perfect Strangers to Me was oneof the most lit theme songs.
Who did that one? Go?Just give me? Just tell me what
it would? Tell me what Isaid, All on the wings of my
thes of my dream, tell methat. Listen to the lyrics behind me,
(47:25):
drings of my dream, the wind, wait that pain and thunder the
wind in a I'm bound for thatday. It's my life, god dream,
nothing's gonna stop. Okay, thatcan relate, all right, Yeah,
that's what I try to tell you. That's something you can listen to
(47:45):
right after the lawsuit. Think aboutthat. That's how you keep going.
That's that song motivating its own.I've always been one of those people like
those are my themes. Anything upliftingthose theme songs, like a lot of
TV show theme songs, they putfault into, like the lyrics like they
really is something. I remember. There's a man with no few volts.
(48:12):
Yeah, won succeed and he can'tbelieve leave y'all today not for you,
that's a that's a classic too,and shout out to vote for that.
But that was a huge upgrade. That was from the original one upgrade because
(48:35):
it wasn't the custod But who hadwho had it first? Rock? Or
hanging with mister Cooper? Because rememberin Vogue eight cool did they did?
I think rock? You think rock? And then miss hanging mister Cooper came.
I don't remember what came first beforeSteve Harvey stole his show concept.
(48:55):
No, it would have to beI think it would have to be mister
Cooper. Right, wasn't Cooper?I want to look it up, but
yes, that was that like oneof the first because you know we did
that to me was one of thefirst times I think I heard actual,
like a real singing group besides singingsinging, Yeah, popular singing group singing
(49:15):
a TV TV theme song. Youkinda get what I'm saying because usually they're
like, they're like people that singTV theme songs, jingle people. Right?
You know who else had? Whoelse had a dope? Dope?
Dope? Shoot? Was it FamilyTies? Yes? Wasn't that? Okayta
(49:43):
wasn't that that's the right song rightall the time? Yes, was that
the no no no wait wait wait, that's not the right that's not the
right thing song we got each otherthis year and that no no, no,
no, no no, that's whatca Kirk Cameron, Uh, growing
pains, Growing pains. I haven'tseen that song in years. Then it
(50:06):
was family Ties, right, whatdo we do baby? And what will
we do baby? Without? Yeah? I feel like that was William and
I'm about to look it up.I'm about to look at that up for
me. So, mister Cooper wasin nineteen ninety two, right, and
I think Rock fell around the sametime, Besty, So you were warn
(50:27):
the something. I think rock wassomebody heard that other people's theme song.
It was like we got to getthem, yeah, I think, And
that's what I think. Okay,So Rock was in ninety one, so
Rock was first. So mister Cooperwas like, we need to go get
a vote, and I'm gonna tellyou guess and guess how. I'm gonna
tell you how it happened. Letme tell you how it happened, because
y'all I always tell y'all. Igot my third eye open, who started
(50:49):
on hanging with Inster Cooper. Whatyou mean, who's the case? All
right? So HOLLYE Robinson? Markwho Holly Robinson? Who her best friend
Terry Ellis from Invocue. Oh mygoodness, stop playing Stey, look at
you. That's the link. Letme find out pull her bestie right on
in and was like, y'all gonnasing this song. Y'all gonna make sure
(51:10):
it's better than that one they did. Oh problem, bestie, But yeah,
dang, we don't oof. Andyou know what I will tell you,
just going back down memory lane singingthem songs even though I can't sing.
We're damn no more, but justgoing back down and thinking about those
songs and thinking about like I feelso good right now. Yeah, I'm
(51:32):
telling you that's that. That's thatnostyalgia stuff, anything that those are like.
That's why, like every day Imake sure that I watch something or
look at something or read something thatreminds me of my childhood. Because they
do it. It kind of givesyou like a boost, It kind of
will reboot you. I'll liketch younot. I'll literally go to like Pluto
or to one of them. It'sso funny you were singing rock I actually
was watching an episode of Rock lastnight, the one where your boy uh
(51:59):
yes, wait now Clifton, hewas the neighborhood boogeyman right in Heavy dec
Yes your dealer, Yes he gotRemember he was killed. That's what Heavy
D shot and killed him and withthe jail, And that's how they ended
up with Sheila who is what whatwhat's her name? Field? Girl?
(52:20):
I can't think of he uh kimlittle sister? What is her name?
That's a shame, but that's howshe ended up. Her name was Sheila
on the show. But that's howthey ended up being her guardian Field's little
sister name. According to Yahoo, now a generation has discovered her kid's sister,
Alexis Field, and she is Ididn't need you tell me all that.
(52:45):
A simple Alexis Fields would have beenfine. See how Google all this
AI be trying to do too much, big do But yes, Alexis So
that's it's something about it. Theyeven have like and I'm gonna get off
this. They even have like thisthing that does like liminal spaces. It's
like a liminal space channel on it'scalled like a nostalgia liminal spaces and they'll
(53:07):
show you all these images, right, it's creepy. It's kind of creepy,
but at the same time, I'mobsessed with it. It looked like
places that you've been to before. So most of the time it looks like
something from like the eighties or oldswim part. It's crazy, I'm gonna
shoot it to you. But peopleare finding out that and I don't know
if psychologists are putting this out thereor what that those type of things make
people feel better. Nostalgia, nostalgiafeels good depending on what it is on.
(53:34):
Yeah, yeah, it's nostalgia isbecause is nostalgia the how do I
say? This? Is nostalgia thepositive version of memories. That's what I'm
crazy, you know what I mean, Like, I'm nostalgia one like that,
Like that's what I'm thinking. Sonostalgia is like a sentimental longing or
(53:54):
wistful affection for the positive. Positive. Yeah, because nobody longs for some
I know now you seriously, youare so right, So it's it's positive.
So the show is the reason whyI think shows do it for us
because usually when we were watching TVshows, we were doing either eat in
or just happy. It was ahappier days. You ain't got the stress
(54:16):
and shit about you know, beforetwo to seven, like my kids,
like they didn't have to to seven. I mean, no place child.
I was not ready. I wasnot ready listen, and I missed my
(54:37):
cue to go. I missed mycue. And then later on they went
with a w I think they wentwith a wu at like the later episode.
Yeah, yeah, just like,uh, why all shows do that?
Who did they copy off of?Remember at the end of different strokes
they would give like that home atthe end. Hmm, what was what
(54:58):
that was on the start? LikeI'm like, I welna started to hump
see every listen, nothing is new, nothing is new. So if y'all
mad thinking people jackie a swag orwhatever y'all called it, this ain't nothing
new. I think this is theperfect segue since we're talking about you know,
throwback television and and what we hadto watch versus what our kids have
(55:19):
to watch. There's a docuseries calledQuiet on Set, The Dark Side of
Kids TV and Baby When I tellyou that thing traumatized me so bad watching
it. It's a fourth part Docusaries, and it has the streets of social
media and shambles. The gist ofthe docuseries is it's almost an expose.
(55:46):
I'm taking it back because you knowthey don't say it. It is like
an expose on all the dirt andtoxicity that went down behind the scenes of
our favorite TV shows, primarily Nickelodeonin the nineteen nineties and early two thousands.
(56:08):
There's a man, his name isDan Schneider. He is a scumbag,
to put it short, excuse me. He is responsible for creating a
lot of shows like all that whatoh theme song? What wasn't that TLC
(56:29):
this? I think that is thatyou know what you called a Nickelodeon because
I didn't. I had CJ later. I didn't have kids till I was
like later in my twenties and thenI wasn't. So a lot of those
Nickelodeon shows I didn't even either knowor only know him because I hear him
later or something like that. Andyou know what, when I did the
timeline on when some of these showscame out versus my age, I was
(56:52):
like, I'm too old to bewatching these shows. Why it had to
be Mark Shawn and Johns your KidsShow? But the way I love the
shows, I loved them in away that I felt like it was a
personal love instead of a secondhand lovethrough my kids, because I hear a
lot of people say that though alot of people tell me they grew up
with all that, and I'm likearound like and I'm like, yeah,
(57:12):
to me, it's because I justdidn't say it, so I don't understand
it. But I get it.Girl, All that was in little kids.
Yeah, that's why I was aboutthis. Damn you took it out
of my mouth, cause I gonnasay, wasn't all that like one of
those improv shows. It was inliving color for kids? And then you
know, even Destiny. By thetime she came along, I had her
in two thousand and seven. Ohno, I didn't. I had her
(57:35):
in two thousand and eight. Sorry, talk me about the memory going.
He was about to get me whatyou like? No you did. I
knew you would pick it up though, Yeah, two thousand and eight.
And you know, she loved likethe Cat and Jack and that was with
Ariana Grande. Totally forgot about ArianaGrande being on Nickelodeon. She it was
other things that she used to loveto watch on this channel. But Dan
(57:57):
Snyder created all these shows that werereally really popular. He was like that
guy at Nickelodeon, but at thesame time he fostered an environment of toxicity,
of a perverse environment. In hindsight, watching back those shows, it
literally, I think like two threeminutes into the dock, my mouth was
(58:22):
hanging open, and it stood hangingopen like the because you know, and
I explained to Destiny going back watchingthis documentary, they pointed out all the
places. Remember how there used tobe rumors that Disney would inject porn in
their that's a fact, Like,Okay, I've seen enough of it that
(58:45):
I think I think it's just well. Nickelodeon was doing the same thing,
but in a different manner. Nickelodeonwas doing things like having a little girl
eat a pickle on an episode. They were doing things like it's trying to
open a jar of something and it'son the girl's face and then the goo
goes down her face, like thingsthat as a kid, hold up me's
(59:06):
he not to cut you off.You just triggered something. I saw a
video. Literally, maybe this isbecause this stuff all came out, it
has to be now. I sawa video where they clicked the guy dance
night or whatever. It had tobe him. I just saw a clip
of there was a clip where ArianaGrande holding a potato shaking it. Okay,
so this is stuff from Okay, then that person fast, that's his
(59:28):
stuff. That's his stuff. I'mso. They even had outtakes where Ariana
Grande was laying on the bed withher head hanging off the edge of the
bed and she was like, oh, I'm so thirsty, and she goes
to drink water, but the watermisses her mouth and she pours it all
over her chest. Like it was. There was so much sexualized content and
perverse content that and I and Destinywas like, how did they get away
(59:53):
with this? And I said, you have to think about it. Kids
were watching this. Kid's mindsets weren'tperverse, their mindsets weren't lewde. You
know. It was the adults whowere getting the shits and giggles out of
it. The same way now inanimated movies when we go watch animated movies
and the kids are like, oh, going and on all over the cartoons,
(01:00:13):
and the adults are getting these jokesthat you know, the the what
is it? What's the word?I'm looking for? The dialogue in the
film is getting these jokes off thatare hitting adults but sliding over kids heads.
In hindsight, I had not Itwas egregious. One young man,
I don't know if I think hewas on all that They covered him in
(01:00:35):
peanut butter and let dogs lick peanutbutter off of him, and the dogs
are licking him in inappropriate places. It was wild. Yeah, yeah,
but like you said, it's hischildren. So most adults are putting the
TV. But I guess that's whythey say too. Years ago they always
said, don't put your kid infront of a television and sit him there
(01:00:55):
watch that TV with them because eventhough they don't get maybe some of the
stuff, it's we don't know whatit's doing stuff, And that's why exactly
we don't know, we don't wild. The biggest bombshell on Quiet on set
was finding out there was a dialoguecoach on the show what's his name?
(01:01:17):
Go on? There was a dialoguecoach on the show, and he was
what is his name? Finding itreally quickly for you guys, Yes,
that stuff is still sick. Itjust gives me the creeps. Like I
haven't watched it, but I don'tthink I can because that kind of stuff
(01:01:39):
just creeps. It just does somethingto me, like it's children. Nickelodeon
dialogue coach Brian Peck and Brian Peckwas arrested after he was found to have
sexually assaulted one of the young actorson the set of one of the Nickelodeon
not on the set, but oneof the child actors on one of the
(01:02:00):
Nickelodeon shows, and the documentary revealedthat the person that was sexually assaulted was
Drake Bell from Josh and Drake theshow Josh and Drake Now. During the
whole time the trial went down,I think it was two thousand and four,
(01:02:21):
he pleaded no contest to charges andonly spent a measly sixteen months in
jail. After being convicted, awhole bunch of other actors, from Alan
Thick down to the woman who playedthe mom on Growing Pains wrote what is
it called character letters on his behalfsaying he would have never done this,
or if he did do something likethis, he had to have been severely
(01:02:45):
tempted. Are y'all really elaining severelytest? That's crazy. We makeing excuses
for pedophiles, like for pedophiles, for pedophiles, but they do that.
It's been going on so long inHollywood. You know what I'm saying.
With kids, let's really think aboutit. There are adults who are writing
character letters for R. Kelly inthe comment section of social media sites every
(01:03:07):
single Yeah, it doesn't make theminnocent every single day, and I still
don't understand it. But with thatbeing said, during the whole trial,
it was a John Doe. Itwas a John Doe because at the time,
Drake Bell was a minor, andof course he's a star. He
doesn't want his career derailed. He'salready been through this traumatic event. So
(01:03:29):
in this docuseries, Drake Bell revealsthat he was the John Doe and the
Brian pet case and that was likea huge, huge deal. So if
your heart can stand it, Iwould tell you to just watch it for
the simple fact of learning like howgreasy and grimy Hollywood has been all the
(01:03:50):
way back to when we were kids. And one girl said, it breaks
my heart to know what these kidswent through to make my childhood amazing.
Yeah, that is that sucks.Nobody want to listen, No, Orlando,
that's what make you start thinking now, like people don't just seriously,
you know what that's content, thatis really content because you know Orlando,
(01:04:12):
he'd be off the rails and thingsof that nature and he you know,
I underne understand there's substance abuse andall that, but what exactly That's why
I'm triggered all of that And whydo we see so many young childhood stars
Amanda Bynds battling battling battle of mentalhealth issues. Amanda Bynds is a prime
(01:04:32):
example. Amanda Bvindes is probably theposter one of the poster child's. Look
at look at what happened to Willis? What's Willis's real name? Toad Bridges
to Bridges. Yeah, the sisterKimberly. Didn't you that her Anderson she
committed suicide. Yeah, it wasthat so you I mean I remember,
(01:04:55):
like my grandmam even going all theway back to like Shirley Temple and how
they did her. So like, this is something that's really just always been
the norm, like and that's thecrazy part that is normal. It wasn't
shit good on that lollipop. Nahm hmm. She was abused. I
think hers was more like physical abuseversus sexual abuse is abuse. Yeah,
(01:05:16):
One girl said on Twitter, andI was like, dang, she said,
I despise grown people who forced theirchildren to provide for their family.
Oh yeah, yeah, And youknow it's so sad when you say that.
Macaulay Cocan is the first person Ialways think Mcaulay. They was deep.
It was like eight, it's likeseven or eight. It's a lot
(01:05:39):
of siblings. I know that Iremember it being a lot. But see,
some of y'all may not remember.Remember the whole Smollette family was on
TV, all of them. Yeahyeah, but well I was getting ready
to say they turned out okay, but we got juicy. Yeah I'm not.
That's another topic was in itself becausenow we got a modern that's now
(01:06:01):
we got to modern day people doingthat, and it's so it's a mess.
Like Carl listen, I don't aira family. It's just it's not
good. Well, my heart andprayers go out to all of the young
actors and actresses who were on theseNickelodeon shows, any show where they experienced
(01:06:23):
some type of abuse or trauma ormistreatment or some type of toxic environment that
has forever impacted their lives, Likemy heart is sincerely, and then it
just makes me so ill to findout that a lot of the people who
cultivated these environments or cultivated these spaces, like Dan Schneider used to make the
women that work in near massage himat work, sir, what Yeah,
(01:06:45):
but if you look, I hateto say this, I feel like that
pedophiles we have in a certain look. That's just my opinion, say that
they kind of all fit like thesame kind of look they do. You
know how the FBI has a profile, Yes, they have. It's it's
a profile. As I seen him, I'm just like, oh, yeah,
(01:07:08):
it's a profile. They said. It's so sick. It makes me
sick, Like it's just yeah, yep, it's disgusting. But I'm glad
like they're able to if that's therapeuticfor them. You know that it's the
ones that are or went through itthat that come out and speak out about
it. I hope it's therapeutic forhim, because I couldn't do it.
I would It would be like relivingit all over again that part. Yeah
(01:07:32):
yeah, but if that check bigenough, I'll go down memory that is
it would be something strange for apiece of change. Listen Ariana Grande and
like she settled her divorce from Dalton. Go right, we weren't on the
air to tell y'all Ariana Grande marriedthis man, but she married, they
(01:07:55):
got divorced. Ariana Grade started messingwith somebody else's husband. He was getting
a divorce, and now here weare as But yesterday it came out that
a judge, a Los Angeles CountyCourt judge or whatever, went ahead and
finalized their divorce. I guess thedivorce settlement part of it, because I
think their divorce was actually finalized likeback in October. But you know the
little settlement part, you know, tying up the loose e. Yeah.
(01:08:19):
And as far as signing up theloose ends, Ariana had a prenuptial agreement
of I was just about to askyou that, you know, Ponytail had
a PREMI that's so they had aprenuptial agreement. But part of their divorce
settlement was she was to pay Daltonone point two five million, pay twenty
(01:08:42):
five thousand dollars towards his legal fees, and then they sell their marital home
and split the assets fifty to fifty. Let me tell you something I don't
know if y'all talk about Drea outhere run around having a baby by this
little boy. But if ari Idon't know how old Ariana Grande is and
I'm damn near fifty. But Ariannalike black ladies, it said, already
(01:09:06):
given album one point. She givingout checks like one. This will come
out of recovery mode. If Imarry Arianna Grande for six months and he
get half, they split the proceedsin the house right, yes, damn
and with legal fees is covered forthe most part. Play and not a
house. You already know the houseprobably worth like about that. Come on,
(01:09:29):
ky Shannon said, come on now, I like what earthquake? He's
like, come on quake? Everythinghe cut yo, everything is come on
lit. I come on Ariana,be like listen, we ain't got to
do none of that other stuff. We can just sit here. We can
watch Netflix movies. I will makesure your ponytail is late out of the
(01:09:51):
good sets. Okay. I usedto be a songwriter. I can help
you with these little tunes because thatlast album wasn't really hitting folds. Help
you, right, Okay. Mydaughter is a trained dancer. We can
get your coreo together. Baby,I'm a package. My son is a
party promoter. He will get themalbum released, parties lit. My daughter
(01:10:12):
is a fashion designer. She willhave your outfit salate. Okay. My
grand baby is adorable. She coulddo tiktoks and your music. Well,
I don't know if your catalog isstill on TikTok, but we could still
have her dance the imaginary versions ofyour songs. Yeah, ma'am, I
am a package. Come see Ariannababy. They say once you go black,
you never go back. Well, you did leave Big Sean and you
(01:10:34):
didn't come back, but once youcome to me, you ain't had no
black lady. Now, I cango watch the logo channel to find out,
you know, the the ABC's anda lesbian. I will be at
one point. I will find outthe talk. Yeah, I'll find the
talking points of being a lesbian.I will make you happy. I will
(01:10:59):
make you happy. You already datingsomebody else? Stuff? Yeah? But
I mean if she's doing married man, she'll deal with a black man.
I'm just I'm just saying she ain'tpicky. You see that man? Oh?
Yeah, I did, I did? I did? He given Walmart?
She is not picky. Not atleast I can give target on your
(01:11:19):
ass. Come see me Ari Comesee me Iri, Iri, baby with
you. I don't even need tofive at this point. I take the
point too five. And then hehad to use all that for his attorney
because I have been going for itthe cheapest lawyer. I listen, that's
(01:11:41):
what we're doing. He actually getthe bread I would have had. I
would have had an attorney that said, the day of the geechee is over.
My attorney would a cost like canI represent myself? Listen, I
went to the judgement at the schoolof law. I know what I just
say in order to get this divorcedone, sir, matter of fact,
I just say nothing. My bad. She married something. She already run
(01:12:04):
around with a married man, right, the one in the wrong Johanna CuPy.
I didn't know he was married. You think she'll do? You think
she'll all married? Do you, honestly do you think after something like that,
do you think she'll marry again? Here's something a sidebar, And I
ain't even mean to go on onAriana today. My plan was to try
to riz her. But here weare. Yesterday, Destiny and I had
(01:12:28):
a conversation about Ariana grandaddy and thatAriana Grande has that Jennifer Lopez disease,
and the Jennifer Lopez disease is shecannot be without a man, I need
companionship twenty four seven, three sixtyfive like that, and Ariana Grande is
giving that same energy. And thenI thought about it and I said,
she was on the quiet on theset doc. It's so much footage of
(01:12:53):
her in there. She didn't participate, but there's so much footage of her.
She was one of them Nickelodeon kids. I don't know what happened to
her. Nicholas going and say,I'm so glad you put it out there,
because I don't want to go inon her either. Her behavior to
me is odd. It is,yeah, that might have been. It's
it's almost like that dies. Ican't think of the word. I got
(01:13:16):
the word, I got the wordwhat you got? She is in And
I've been waiting to use this becauseI heard somebody say it the other day
and I was like, oh,I can't wait to use it. Ariana
Grande gives off the effect that sheis in arrested development. Ariana Grande,
how old is she? Yeah? That is I just I've recently hold on
(01:13:36):
I can pull it. She ain'tthirty yet. Hold on, he's still
a baby. Ariana Grande is thirtyyears old. Get out of here.
She is thirty years old and shecarries herself like she's fifteen. Yes,
like all the way down to thedamn ponytail, the voice, the pony
(01:14:00):
tell, the way she dresses.Yes, the men that she even heard
her non like her body language, her body language. Yeah, I got
to send you that clip I seenon YouTube. It literally was all of
Ariana grind It's clips of all arejust now did it makes sense? Whoever
created this thing on YouTube? Ithad to be after the docu series.
They literally took all these clips. The whole thing is of Ariana at Nickelodeon.
(01:14:24):
And the little bit I saw isit was nuts. I've seen a
potato thing and I seen that bottlething you were talking about. She's like,
can you drink? What are upsidedown? Or whatever it was.
And then they actually had a clipon nickel Ooh, I just hit my
wrist. They actually had a clipon Nickelodeon where what's this is the King
(01:14:45):
of Queens. What's the guy's name? I know the show? I know
the guy. I don't know hisname though, okay, because I called
his name like the back of myhand the other day and I was like,
wow, I didn't think I knewhim like that, but now today
I can't. Ray Romanos Okay.Ray Rominos was on a Nickelodeon show.
He was in a dressing room andhe was like, oh, I'm so
hungry. And then they had BrianPeck because they used to call Brian Peck
(01:15:10):
the pickle Man. He used tohave this recurring role on this shows as
the pickle Man. He used towalk around with a huge tray full of
the huge, big pickles that youused to talking about. Okay, you're
talking about. So Ray Ramino wasin his dressing room and he was like,
I'm so hungry. I'm so hungry. The pickle Man walked up to
the door. They had a holeand he stuck the pickle through the hole
(01:15:33):
for Ray to get the pickle outof the hole. And then Ray bay,
Yes, they had a glory holeon Nickelodeon, a straight glory hole.
That's not to pickle through a hole. Nickelodeon like now feels some type
of way like should be held accountablethough, why you know what I mean?
(01:15:58):
But my thing is Look what peopleare willing to allow to slide for
a paycheck. Look at all thepeople from the camera crew to the writers,
yes, the producers, to thepeople that the fervist. Yes,
y'all. This was on everybody's watchfirst of all. And then I'm gonna
(01:16:20):
take it a step further and blamethe parents because the moment I saw earlier
on the Grande laid back on abed and pour water cross our chest.
I'm fighting, I'm fighting. Thenthere was a scene. This is something
I just remember that little clip thing. I'm going to send it to you.
There was a scene was her andanother cast member, another female,
was on the floor of a seton her back and I think her dress
(01:16:41):
went up. All these adults arelike standing around her onner. They were
like playing with you. It wasjust inappropriate. Like, now, that's
so nuts that all of this wenton. I gotta send you that clip.
Now don't make sense. I didnot put two or two together.
Here's another question for you. Thoughwe are super I'm gonna use this term
for like a better word, weare super awake in twenty twenty four.
(01:17:02):
Is it that people were so laxand dicile and that all of this was
able to slip through the radar becauseyou know, back in the day,
they used to have kids sitting onmen's laps and all kind of stuff.
Truth. Have you ever seen thatclip where that woman was trying to get
Jordan to sit on Bernie Max's lapand he could slip right here. Yeah,
(01:17:26):
he can sit right she No,no, no, we can go.
He can sit right next to menlike that. Don't do that.
I think it's a cultural thing though, too. It's so many different you
know, because I know us asa culture, we ain't playing, not
all of us, because I knowsome of us out there that doesn't slept
in the crack. Yeah, butmost of us was like, uh,
(01:17:46):
you don't sit on no grown manlap, not even that. How many
raise your hand if you wasn't allowedto go to a sleepover? Yeah,
like I wasn't, and I butsome of my other family members and friends
were. And you know what's socrazy is this one quick it's this one
house. I always wanted to spendthe night and everybody got to go to
the house. I didn't. Andwhen I got older and found out,
like why, and the father inthe house, the stepfather said, oh
(01:18:09):
shit, I just did jail timefor all kinds of things like oh my,
then I start thinking about like myfriends and stuff that spent the night.
There there was a story that Iwas I meant to write, because
you know, I try to stayaway from like traumatic stories unless there's a
lesson or a message. Right right. If there was a story that I
wasn't able to get to, andI don't know what was going on that
(01:18:30):
day, life was life, Andbut it was about a man who was
arrested because his twelve year old daughterhad a sleepover and he made smoothies for
all the little girls and drug them. And one little girl didn't drink the
smoothie. I don't know why sheain't drink it. I don't know if
she ain't like the way it tastes, she was allergic to it, or
she just don't like the reasons shedidn't, because you know, if that
(01:18:51):
would have been me, I don'tlike smoothies. She did not drink the
smoothie. She saw the dad comingin the room testing the girls to see
if they were out cold. Ohmy god, yeah, And she texts
her mom and she said, Mama, I'm so scared, Just please come
get me, just make up anyreason why I gotta go home. Just
please come give me, please comeget me. And that's how he ended
(01:19:14):
up getting arrested and getting caught.I had a friend who went to it.
That wasn't nothing but god too.I had a friend who was at
a sleepover. We we how oldwere we? Thirteen? Maybe about thirteen
fourteen? Dad came in the roomand straight up start trying to touch her.
Are you seriight up straight up feelinglogical? Father? No? No,
no, she was at the sleepover. She was at wait a minute,
at the faver of the friends.Girl go out, Well, you'll
(01:19:41):
protect kids. Yeah, and youknow, yes, that's a bigger thank
you. Say that again. Yeah, protect now. And I want to
add another layer to it. Yougot to protect even more now because we're
so distracted by devices, Like Iwatch people when I'm out and they're in
a device and little ones are youknow somebody could just snatch a kid,
grope you, touch your kid anything. There are so many times I could
(01:20:03):
have walked off with somebody's child.Easy peas walked off with somebody's child.
I see it. It's just liketoo many. I see too many.
If I'm a if you're a criminal. And I'm not a criminal, but
theres so many times I go outand I'm like, man, this is
an opportunity for a crit like it'sso many different opportunities. Absolutely, we
gotta protect our kids and we gottapay more attention to them. I know
(01:20:26):
I'm off on something else, butit does. It needs to be set
real quick. There was a storyI just seen. I think it was
in like Memphis. This is triggeringprotect our kids. So I don't know
if you've heard about it, buta one year old was unfortunately run over
by an uber uber driver accident.Dear God. The story goes basically,
uber driver is dropping mom, itwas the little girl's family. It's mom,
(01:20:48):
I think the little girl and itwas someone else. And there's video
on this zob. As they're gettingout, they walk. The little girl
is behind them, so the uberdrivers thinking they got her hand and they're
going because they were good ten feetso let me put it. Let me
put it to you like this. They get out the Uber, they already
walked past the uber driver. They'reprobably about ten feet. This is mom
(01:21:11):
and the other adult. They're probablymaybe ten to twenty feet ahead of a
one year old one. No,that's right there, okay, So he
didn't see the one year old,and it's so sad. You see them
walk by and he run He literallyjust runs over the one year old because
he's in a truck. So thegirl's high. He can't see this child.
They come back, they see it. They come back and instead of
(01:21:33):
calling an ambulance that mind you,the car is pending on top of the
baby, they jump in to beathim up. He goes because he comes
out and he looks he's trying toget back in the car because he didn't
realize he did it to back likethe gold reverse to get the car offered.
Girl, it's a horrible like Ihate that, I even like seen
it, but we never walked likethe fact that they walked ahead of that
(01:21:54):
one, that one year old baby. My baby at one was on my
hip. He wasn't wasn't if I'mif I'm crossing the street or I'm arravouing
exactly, And to blame that uberdriver and they beating bad he's okay,
but protect protect we gotta protect ourchildren. So I'm sorry that just but
even in tragedy, your first thoughtwasn't to protect the y'all. Yeah,
(01:22:16):
it was the fighting even if heeven if he was trying to get away.
He's an Uber driver, exactly hisI'm sure all his documentation is with
Uber. Yes, he could havebeen found yep. So now Uber had
to give a statement because it wasmaking it like I'm glad I saw the
video. A lot of the headlineswere like Uber driver kills one one year
old. Y'all gotta watch how y'allpost stuff too, Like that word was
(01:22:41):
not It was totally not his fault. I'm gonna be honest with you.
It was a it was a trueaccident, so back that was just I
just had to put that in thereabout protecting our kids, like we gotta
pay attention. It's so and that'swhy it's so important to me with headlines,
you know. I know sometimes wehave to try to play with headlines
enough to get y'all to click, because y'all don't want to click and read
nothing. Y'all just went a pictureof the headline and y'all tell me what
(01:23:02):
y'all think about it. So it'smy job to at least try to get
you to click into the link, because other than that, I ain't doing
my job and I'm not making money. But at some point you have to
realize there are real human beings attachedto this stuff. There are real life
people attached and you have to alwaysalways give that grace and that that have
(01:23:24):
integrity and give just empathy, God, empathy. Thank you, that's the
word I was trying to grab.It is ridiculous, but I know.
I'm telling you this show I wentall over. But this is why we
need to be back. This's whywe want to be back, to get
you all glasses together. Yes,look what the world doing since we've been
(01:23:45):
gone. Look at it, y'allgot a sexy red out here. Now,
let's just let's take a break andwhen we come back up, I'm
gona tell y'all. I don't evenknow what I'm gona tell y'all back.
Okay, ICC friends, we areback as always. We thank you for
listening to today's podcast, and weencourage you to like and subscribe to the
(01:24:11):
Ice Cream Congos podcast and share itwith a friend let them know we are
back. Carla, do you gamblenow? I nah. I don't like
losing money. I don't play nogames. I won't even play the lottery.
Now, what I will say isyears ago and that this is probably
why I don't do gambling. Igot like addicted this the monopoly scratch ofs
(01:24:31):
girl. I had hit like twentydollars what topic. I swore I was
going to hit it big. Iwas buying them Jones like twice a day.
Nah, I don't like And thenI wasn't winning anymore. I don't
like losing money. I don't likespending money. And I ain't getting shipped
back right, like, that's justthat's just me. You gambled, No,
you know you? Yeah, Ihad to ask you for I had
(01:24:51):
to ask you for the sec orthough whoa you know. I know,
first of all, for those ofyou who are new to this and not
true, I have an addictive personality, and so I have to move.
I have to move with caution.I move through a room full of vultures.
(01:25:11):
My grandmother had a gambling addiction, and I saw what it did to
us. Literally. And when Isay my grandmother, I'm talking about my
momm not my great grandma who raisedme. Y'all know she was second hand
to Jesus. She wasn't out heresinning. They don't mixed up. He
don't get it mixed up. Mygreat grandma wasn't nowt here sinning. She
was a woman of God. Butmy mo mom used to dabble in the
(01:25:33):
devil sometimes. Now my mom thatwas my rider, died after my girl
like that, y'all don't understand. My mama was my girl. Like she
used to call me like girl.Did you see what STEBJ did the job
that. Yes, but she didhave a gambling addiction. I don't know
(01:25:53):
how it started, but it gotbad to the point of her losing her
apartment. Her It was bad.It was bad. Like when my mom
passed away. I had a statevia state went to the casino. It
was bad. It was bad.So you know, I don't mess with
gambling. And there are some thingsthat tend to still I trip up as
(01:26:17):
far as my addictive personality. Someof you, oh, well, it's
been a year so since the lasttime we talked. I have a lemon
pepper addiction. There you go,it might sound funny to devastating. My
family is devastated already. Yeah, like they literally they tired. They tired.
(01:26:41):
They have tried to hide lemon pepper. I go buy a fresh one
they you know the meme of abig boy, I think I don't.
I don't know if it's from likea outcast video, but it's big boy.
He got on a navy blue jersey. He just sitting in the window
shaking his head like, oh yeah, that's how Destiny looks at me anytime
she catches me. It's to thepoint where I have to sneak and eat
(01:27:04):
lemon pepper. Oh my god,yeah, I have a I don't know
how it hurts. Yeah, Iknow how it happened. Actually, we
started doing wings on Friday night andwe would get mild and lemon pepper peper.
I ain't gonna hold you though themlemon pepper wings be banging. I
don't got no addiction, but damnyou got me wanting something now. Glad
(01:27:26):
man, my mouth is watering. It's almost I am fighting taking a break
to go downstairs and get a handfulof lemon pepper season. You know what,
So you're eating it? Yeah, you're taking no, no, no,
no. Oh. You thought Iwas eating wings. I thought I
thought you were about too. Ithought you was putting it. No,
I thought you was like adding itto your food. You're eating it.
(01:27:49):
Out of your hobby era. Iknow it's bad. Tasha and Mika and
them stage the intervention when because howand they basically was like bench shop being
not sure. We ain't got talk. We got too much to do,
be sitting in the hospital because youdone had that. Yes, yeah,
I poured it into my hand.I did calm down because one time I
(01:28:11):
got lightheaded and dizzy after taking toomuch to that. My mouth is watering
so bad right now, y'all don'tunderstand. I understand addiction, and I
am not judging anybody who is avictim of addiction because you are a victim
of your addiction. My mouth isso bad. So if I started saying
the spitmouth, listen, my mouthis watering just talking about it. We
(01:28:32):
can I can taste it. Yeah, the girl's just like right you,
I might need another intervention because I'mwatching you now you act like you already
start itching seriously in the morning. At the height of my addiction, in
the morning, I would come downstairsto take Destiny to school. When I
will walk past the cabinet, Iwould just open it up that like do
(01:28:54):
a dash into the palm of myhand. Pick the palm in my hand,
wipe my hand off on the sideof my pants and go take my
baby's. Some of y'all do bumps. Some of y'all roll up in the
morning. I do limon pepper.Judge your mama, I do limit my
mouth is water is so bad.Oh my god, Hold up, I
(01:29:15):
have said, but you know whatI think about it. As a child,
weren't you. Weren't you as achild? I was. It was
addicted to Lauri's, so it's alwaysbeen there. This is something we Yeah,
we're gonna have to work on that. Best teacher, I don't want
you. I was addicted to Lauri'sand seven up together, remember seven up?
Not? I still will drinking sevenup everything. My grandmama always used
(01:29:39):
to buy the two leaders seven ups, and she used to put them on
the side of the refrigerator because ourrefrigerator, you know, with all the
other food and all that, becauseit's a great grandma refrigerator is always full
of food, loaded loaded, Sothere was no room for two two leaders
in the refrigerator. So she sit to the side. And that's how
I learned how to drink hot soda. You could literally hid eat a hot
soda and I could pop the catand drink it down because I used to
(01:30:02):
sneak on the side of the refrigeratorand I know she looking down from heaven,
like you all to tear your tailup. I used to screw that
top off and turn that seven upthe cutter bottle and I would. But
see, I had to be carefulbecause I knew I couldn't do more than
one swallow because then it'll drop,It'll be obvious. And so yeah,
(01:30:27):
so that on tight enough, youhad that grip. Yeah, yeah,
that grip. I don't know.I was stronger as a kid, I
guess. But then and then Laurie. I was so addicted to Laurie's season
salt that when my Grandmam got readyto cook, she used to be like
Javan because that's my middle name. You got my Lauri's. It used to
(01:30:49):
be all hit it under my bed. I used to just eat, like,
just pour it in my hand andeat it. But I would hide
it under my head and I wouldforget to take it back downstairs. Yeah,
not to tick it back in thekitchen yours. Yes, But then
it got bad, and this iswhen I knew I had hit rock bottom
(01:31:10):
of my larry Seasoned Salt Addiction andLarre's. If you're looking for a sponsorship,
I'm your girl. Because you're lookingfor a publishing partner. You need
a bag right now too. Okay, listen, I need a bag.
I take a zip lock bag atthis point. Okay, a vacuum sealed,
(01:31:31):
but any bag. So my grandmawas cooking fish, and I remember
she used to, you know, scale the fish, wash the fish.
She would cut the head off,she would filay the fish and like have
it laid on the plate so shecould go ahead and season it. And
when she wasn't looking, I wouldrun my finger through the fish water.
(01:31:55):
Might be quiet, I'm about toget sick. I would run my fish
through the fish water to scoop upbecause the Larry's is wet. Now it's
thick. Oh my goodness, howare you still alive? I'm still alive.
I'm still alive. Oh my goodgirl. Taking it a step further.
(01:32:16):
When she was cooking chicken, samething, I ran my finger right
through that Simonilla water. That's sayingGod, damn. Okay. I did
what needed to be done. Iain't robbed, no old ladies. I
ain't knock over I ain't no liquorstores, but I got my Larry's.
(01:32:36):
You know what we got. Wedefinitely need an intervention because you're going we're
going backwards. We went on vacationto Miami last year. Destiny went down
there to dance with Jeoffrey for twoweeks, and I forgot to pack my
limon pepper. She ran there freakingout, and I'm gonna stay about three
days, and y'all got bad tothe point where I was in Public's walking
(01:32:59):
up and down the oss can forany type of lemon pepper, and the
only lemon pepper they had when I'mabout to lose this endorsement, the only
lemon pepper they had was Laurie's andLari's lemon pepper. It ain't hitting because
it is literally lemon and pepper, like you know, you know, like
some seasonings be like lemon pepper, but it's like it's like lemon pepper and
(01:33:21):
and and all Lauri's is giving youlemon and pepper, and the pepper was
overpowering the taste of how to hita certain way you eat McCormick, who
you Kroger store brand, But Ifind that off brand that Kroger. Kroger,
(01:33:44):
you did you a big one withthat lemon pepper Croger, you did
a big one sometime off. Brandis the right brand, you know,
that's the truth. Great value isbe hitting me. It'd be here.
So okay, okay, I'm sorry. So back to addiction exactly. So,
(01:34:06):
there was a rumor that came outearlier last week this week that Bruno
Mars has a fifty million dollar gamblingdebt with MGM in Las Vegas, and
I the first thought I had wasthat's why MGM probably inspired I'm gonna leave
the door up. Come, comeright on in this casino door baby.
(01:34:36):
So MGM did come out and saythat Bruno does not have any debt with
them. They have a great relationshipwith Bruno. Bruno recently opened a lounge
called the Pinky Pinky Finger, PinkyRing, Pinky Ring and Las Vegas and
all this other good stuff. SoI just wanted to use the Bruno Mars
(01:34:57):
story to kind of get into aconversation about addition. Just just a gambling
addiction, yeah, just any typeof addiction. But that damn media,
I don't want to realize that that'sa Then Okay, that's the real big
one. Yeah, that social mediaaddiction got a lot of y'all in the
choke hold. Yeah, y'all gonnabe sitting in that circle talking about how
(01:35:17):
my name is Zabierra, Hey,Zobbi. That social media addiction is gonna
have a lot of y'all in thechoke hold. Quiet as cat. Y'all
in denial, y'all, y'all,Yeah, they ain't in denial about mine.
Okay, I own up to myLimit Pepper season. And so if
y'all ever see me out somewhere andI'm talking to y'all, and I got
(01:35:39):
a black speck on my tooth, and you be like, she knows she
got black. It's her teeth rotenand she got plain. That is the
pepper from the Limit Pepper season, because some tiple get stuck between my teeth
and I don't realize it when I'mgetting my little bump before I leave the
house, I don't realize. Yeah, some of y'all smoked weed. Some
of y'all do cocaine. I know, limit everybody had Listen everybody they own
(01:36:00):
bite, y'all sit up and lookat porn. I do lemon pepper.
Now, if it's some poorn withsomebody eating lemon pepper. Let go,
I should start a limon pepper onlyfans. Mind. You know, right
now I need some money, soI'm going to do a little bit right
now. So let's go ahead andtake a real, real quick break,
(01:36:21):
and then when we come back,I want to talk about Marlo Hampton,
this ozmpic addiction, Amanda Seals andwhy she upset, and then we're gonna
go because we pod and today back. All right, I see cee.
Friends, we are back, andthank you for tuning into today's podcast.
So the last two stories that Iwant to really get into. This first
one is Marlow Hampton. Marlow Hamptonwas sitting down talking to Carlows King.
(01:36:45):
And for those of you who don'tor like, I know Marlow, but
who is Marlow? Marlow Hampton isthe fashionista and she was recently she was
on the most recent episode of theReal Season not episode. She was on
the most recent season of the RealHousewives of Atlanta, but recently announced that
she would not be returning for seasonsixteen. But while talking to Carlos King,
Carlos was like, girl, youlook good. That ozempic doing you
(01:37:08):
good? Marlowe revealed her ozempic usehas never been a secret. She's been
very transparent in that. But shesaid she had to leave it alone because
she got addicted to ozimpic. Sospeaking of addictions, she probably should have
been in the last segment because ozimpicis not an addictive drug. No it's
(01:37:31):
not, but don't go ahead. But what ozmpic does is once again,
I just may even go back tothe social media addiction, right, something
just clicked like this might tie in, so it's not necessarily addictive. But
what is addictive is people like wantingto look like they want to lose weight,
(01:37:51):
looking like other people. I saythat basically, that's what it is.
It's your addiction to wanting to besmall like I don't know if that's
an addiction, but it's the wholelike looking. I don't know. I
don't know how to really explain itbecause first of all, is she is
she diabetic? No? Yeh see, and I have a it's so many
(01:38:13):
different I have so many different issueswith so let me type yeah, let
me tie that together for you too. I love I love the direction you
took this in because I wasn't eventhinking about this angle social media addiction.
Some of us look at social media. We become so addicted to social media,
but not only are we addicted toactually being on social media, we
are again being brainwashed with everything thatwe are consuming on social media. And
(01:38:36):
that's one of the reasons why Carlaclocked out. I know y'all miss her
in the streets to I C C. I know I'll be there, but
I'll be in a whole different worklike y'all a whole I'm in a third
world you being Panama Twitter like man, yeah, Manama Twitter Black. Twitter
(01:38:58):
is sitting right here, you inPanama. Twitter. Not saying Panama is
a third world country. I'm justsaying, but you are consuming all of
these different things, right, Sonow you not only are you addicted to
social media, just being being onthe platform and looking at everybody and looking
ingesting all these different things. Nowit's messing with your self esteem because now
you see X y Z dressed thisway, looking this way, her lips
(01:39:20):
look this way, she's carrying thispurse, she's wearing this, her butt
looks like this, her boobs lookslike this, her stomach looks like this,
And Martin will mind you, when'sthe last time you've seen a real
photo that hasn't had a filter orphotos. First of all, everybody on
Love and Hip Hop Atlanta look likea brat stall. Everybody everybody got a
brat stall. No, that's thetruth. I was like, I'm about
(01:39:41):
to start calling y'all yeahs men, whatever the other brat's names were. I'm
renaming everybody y'all look like brats dolls. I want to a Living with Pop
Atlanta season fifty six. That's theseason I want to see when they bring
all y'all old asses back yup andeverybody got canes, and your butt's slid
down to the back of your kneecaps, your lips then slid down into because
(01:40:04):
when your face wrinkles in the collagenand all that other stuff, and then
you got these injections in your lips, well probably by then they'll be absorbed
back into your body and then you'regonna have to go yeah IV every week
and go get on some prescription. But anyway, Marlow Hampton, I feel
like is a victim of one ofthose Like she's she's a reality TV star,
(01:40:24):
she's considered a social life, she'sconsidered a fashionis staff an influencer,
and she the way she looks mattersto people. But it's an obsession of
her own. It's yourself. Yeah, it's an obsession of her own.
So she was using ozimpic to loseweight. First of all, Marlowe,
I ain't never seen marlow big,right, that's why. Yeah, I
(01:40:45):
mean, okay, you were small. What do you want to be?
Transparent? Like, what are wedoing? So she's using ozempic. She
goes on to say that she hadto leave ozempic alone. She became addicted
to it, but her face startedbreaking out, her periods started acting up,
and she was constipated four three months. That's a lie, she exaggerating
(01:41:09):
on that she was dead. Sheprobably experienced some some forms like a contemplated
for three months while she said onand off though, like on and off,
because I guess I'm thinking, likecan you imagine me a confidence?
And I was so shocked at first, I wasn't gonna write the story.
And then I was like, youknow, I'm going to write the story
(01:41:30):
because number one, it's a realhousewife of Atlanta who isn't coming back to
the show. You know, marlowhas had a murky past, but We're
not living in nobody's past. Buto zimpic is a big trend. It's
a trend trend. It's a bighot is a very hot topic. When
I tell you the comments went crazyon social media, they went so crazy.
You know, every so often, most of the time on Instagram,
(01:41:53):
people ignore my comments, like, you know, most of the time they
just go and read my content andkeep on scrolling, like my engagement be
stupid dumb love. And I'm like, I'm picking up followers every day.
But y'all don't engage the content. But that's another conversation for another day.
But when I wrote about Marlowe inthis Ozmpic, those comments have gone hand
(01:42:16):
balooney and god darn cheese. Yougot people in there who are on ozimpic.
You have people who are in thecomments who are diabetic. You have
people in the comments who just usingozmpic just to lose weight. You have
people in the comments who are talkingabout the side effects that they have experienced.
I saw somebody else say, man, that junk hand me so constipated.
I thought I was going to die. Like you literally your everybody ozimpic.
(01:42:39):
If you need traffic mindy write aboutozempic on your Life. Yeah,
like sixty minutes. Just literally didlike a thing on it. Probably like
a month ago. Oprah just dida whole town hall meeting to try to
justify the fact that she using weightloss prescription. But no one talks about
if you use this stuff and you'renot diabetic, the side effects become so
much more riskier, you know, just like anything else. When you get
(01:43:03):
any type of medicine, it comeswith side effects, and it also comes
with directions on how to use it. When they use it, who should
be using it, who shouldn't.That's the part that's kind of frightening that
people that aren't diabetic are getting itbecause they do have other weight loss I
can't think of the names of thedrugs right now. They have other weight
loss injection type drugs that are specificallyfor just weight loss, not diabetes.
(01:43:27):
Ozembic is for diabetics. You loseweight with it, but it's not pushed
as a weight I mean now they'rekind of marketing it, I believe so
many because these doctors are like, why are these doctors giving scripts to people
that aren't diabetic? And are theygiving them are they telling them the truth?
No? They're not because in mypost, and I want you all
(01:43:49):
to go visit ice creamcombos dot com. All of these stories are on ice
creamcombos dot com, where we servedeliciousoops of entertainment and celebrity news. For
the record, right that Martin Hampton'sozimpic post, I am making it a
point, and you guys who readthe site religiously will recognize the fact that
I'm trying to add a lot ofcontext to my content and the reason being
(01:44:13):
sidebar. The reason being is becauseGoogle has deemed my site useless and I
am now fighting for any visibility insearch engines. So whereas I used to
get search engine traffic, I don'tget search engine traffic anymore. That's one
of the other things that happened duringthe past year, guys, which has
severely impacted my business, severely impactedmy revenue and my ability to earn money.
(01:44:39):
So what I'm doing now, andbut first of all, for the
record, I'm not even gonna saywhat I'm doing now. I have always
been thorough yeah period. That hadalways like an insult, and yes,
so now I'm being excessive is probablywhat we're going to say. I'm being
excessive with trying to provide additional context. But in the Marlow Hampton post,
(01:45:01):
there's a section of the post whereI just included quotes of different celebrities and
what they said about ozimpic. ChelseaHandler said she went to the doctors.
And I don't know exactly what shewent to the doctors for, but the
doctor prescribed her ozimpic, and shedidn't know that it was ozimpic. She
(01:45:23):
said she started feeling sick right, she kept getting nauseous, kept getting nauseous,
and she said a friend of herswas like, oh girl. She
went out the lunch and her friendwas like, oh girl, I am.
I'm so nauseous. You know,I'm on ozimpic. And Chelsea was
like, hold on because I'm nauseoustoo. Now. I don't know if
(01:45:43):
Chelsea is diabetic or no, I'mnot she's not diabetic, because what does
she think it was. Let meread you the quote for it to make
sense. Let me say, I'mlike, damn, Chelsea, you out
here letting them give you medicine, and you know, and you're a thing.
Another lesson y'all asked, don't bescared to ask your doctors questions.
Yeah, okay, I think sometimes, oh my anti aging doctor, Wow,
(01:46:05):
wow, that's that's as my antiaging doctor just hands it out to
anybody. I didn't even know Iwas on it. She said, if
you ever want to drop five pounds, this is good. I came back
from vacation, I ejected myself withit. Went to lunch with a girlfriend
a few days later, and shewas like, I'm not really eating anything.
(01:46:25):
I'm so nauseous, I'm gonna zipit. And I was like,
just too, but I just cameback from Spain and was jet lagged.
She said, I'm not on itanymore. That's too irresponsible. I'm an
irresponsible drug user, but I'm notgoing to take a diabetic drug cause you
know, Chelsea gets to Chelsea getssick, real side effects. We will
(01:46:47):
welcome you to the world. Wewill welcome you to the world of Lemon
Papa if you're looking for a newaddiction baby and every day baby. So
she goes on to say, I'man irresponsible drug user, but I'm not
going to take a diabetic drug.I tried it. I'm not going to
(01:47:08):
use that. That's not for me, that's not right for me. I've
injected about four or five of myfriends with ozimpic because I realized I didn't
want to use it because it's silly, it's for heavy people. Everyone is
on ozimpic. It's gonna wait,excuse me. I feel like I didn't
say that right. She said, everyone is on ozimpic. It's going to
(01:47:28):
backfire. Something bad is going tohappen. Let me stay side of her.
Let me tell you what Anthony Andersonsaid. He said, I'll say
this, it's creating a shortage forthose of us who need the medicine.
And it's like, and not forweight loss, but for our health.
Yeah, okay, it is.That's a major shortage. And then the
(01:47:50):
price is went the skyrocketed. Sonow you're talking about people that can't afford
it, that are done, andanyone that knows. I don't want to
go off from the healthcare in butanyone knows, like diabetics have always had
the battle to get insurances to covercertain things. Everything has always been kind
of high. Everything from the landslipthey sliced their finger with, to cut
their finger with, the dude, their blood draws, I mean checked their
(01:48:11):
sugar. They always have had issues. So it's like why di diabetic community
keep getting like there's other weight lossThis is the part I don't get.
There's other weight loss drugs besides Olympic. What is the big deal about ozempic?
I tell you, But I'm gonnatell you that just like Osempic.
But it's just yes, because Oprahdid talk about those on her little town
hall And the only reason why Iwatched the town hall was because I was
(01:48:34):
waiting for Bachelor to come on.We want miss Nothing, Yeah, we
want the Dad. I think Oprahgot okay because it felt like if what
Oprah did, and I know they'reif what Oprah did felt like a self
gratifying, self soothing us like itjust felt I don't know, it felt
(01:49:03):
like that whole special she did wasjust to justify the fact that she wanted
to use this weight loss dress, you know what I mean, Because you
know she wants to use it,people talking about her, she had to
go ahead and resign from Weight Watchers, and she should because that was that
was that Yeah, yeah, theway people be frawd. But y'all dumb.
(01:49:24):
If y'all actually thought that Oprah was, I ain't being smart. We
all knew Oprah ass well. Itwas more to it than some damn weight
watchers. Let me tell you howOprah be playing chess and not checkers.
Oprah resigned from weight Watchers after sheadmitted she takes weight loss drugs. Right,
so everybody like, oh oh ohyeah, wait, she had to
resign from weight Watchers. She broughtweight Watchers on that special she did and
(01:49:46):
outed weight Watchers for just buying intoa prescription weight loss drug company. Oh
my gosh, are you chess notcheckers? Chess not checkers? Wow?
That nuts. So she basically like, I left, but y'all, y'all
not gonna have me out here lookinglike I believe because I was doing dirt
(01:50:08):
because and y'all hopping into the samebusiness for the second taking everybody down with
me. That's the type of bitshe is. Excuse my language, you
might have to. That is justmy opinion about Oprah Winfrey is not the
(01:50:28):
opinions. But I used to lovethat lady deep down, deep in my
soul, and now I just theolder. It's almost like the more you
see something for what it really is, the more you see somebody for who
they really are. Like, Iam not convinced that she didn't feel some
(01:50:50):
type of way about Taraji p Henson. It was treating she do and still
do Taraji's career from now. Let'swatch everybody starting today, let's watch.
Let's watch Taraji's career. M Yeah, she feels some type of way because
how dare you? I'm opening yo. And that's what Monique holling about,
even though we tired of her andher daddy. But that's the Monique.
(01:51:15):
Yeah, Monique, listen, Aclock can be wrong. Wait, a
broken clock can be what's the saying? Help? Broken talk can only be
wrong? What twight? Wait,I know you're going too far. Look
you clock. Wait wait, abroken clock can be right twice a day.
That's it. Okay, a brokenclock can be right twice a day.
And that's Monique. Because Monique betalking all that crazy this, that
(01:51:40):
and the third blah blah blah blahblah. That's just how she portrays the
message. I think. I thinka lot of times it's the messenger,
it's delivery, the delivery. ButMonique, that's all it is. Come
on, y'all act like y'all.Remember Monique did say she was his special
needs classes on club shape. I'mnot taking I'm saying sometimes sometimes when you
special needs, you don't always knowhow to communicate properly or expressed. I'm
(01:52:02):
being serious now, but I saidsomething I shouldn't have said. You said
something about Nickelodeon, But I catchyou what you're saying. I was like,
is she on Nickelodeon too? Iam not all get out of the
record, I am not. Itis not a laughing matter what happened to
them kids. I'm just we justhave y'all. Y'all know that we're not
(01:52:28):
gonna do real quick about this podcast, just how I feel like we y'all,
anybody that knows us knows this isa conversation. Were having good fun.
Y'all know the real us. We'renot gonna get into It's like other
platforms is explaining what we say.Yeah, I don't think we need to
get into that. If you know, you know, if you know,
you know, you know us words, because at this point I can't be
(01:52:51):
canceled no more than I already have. Y'all been canceled by Google, like
I mean, and once you canceledfor real, fo I think we just
we speaking a lot of a lotof people feel like we feel, and
I think we've gotten into a placewhere like you can't even say express your
opinion. All of this is opinionbased, and we joke and we laugh.
We want to a lot of timeswe take moments like that and you
(01:53:13):
gotta kind of make them funny.Like I always say, Xavier, you
ARETI I just told someone this lastweek. The thing I love about you,
You'll take a tragedy, right, and you'll take something tragic and traumatic
and you'll somehow make it funny. But it makes me. That's the best
thing I like about you. You'lltake something I'm going through and you'll go
through it, but then you'll makeit away where like, how the hell
(01:53:34):
am I laughing? And I feelbetter after? And I think that's important.
Sometimes we got to put humor intoand I'm not saying we're laughing at
the actual traumatic to laugh instead ofcrying to make something funny around it.
Yes, exactly exactly. I tellyou, y'all think I'm joking what I
said. I'm broke his head.I'm like, I'm about to sell some
Kouchie, just got to wait forit to get FDA approved, right,
(01:54:00):
But now laughing at kid? Yeah, no, no, no, y'all
know. But in closing, Iwant to talk about Amanda Seals. Amanda
Seeles recently spoke out about not beingrecognized in black spaces. Amanda Seals,
y'all know, multi hyphen Amanda Seels. Amanda Sells is an actress. Amanda
Sells can sing, Amanda Seales candj Amanda Seels wrote a book The Woman
(01:54:21):
Can Still Do Gymnastics from back whenshe was a star athlete as a child.
You know, Amanda, Yes,she is a walking talent. Amanda
Seals is funny. Amanda Seals isan advocate. You know, she fights
for the rights of her people. She you know, she's outspoken, and
(01:54:45):
I know exactly what triggered her.She ain't said, but I know it.
The NUABLEACP Image Awards came on thispast weekend because it triggered a lot
of people, because the N DoubleACP Image Awards. Of course, you
know, as a black person inentertainment, maybe you won't get nominated for
Oscar, maybe you won't get nominatedfor Emmy, Like there are a select
few. It could be three thousandBlack actors and actresses and five of them
(01:55:09):
get nominated for something in those pieces. But the N DOUBLEACP Image Awards.
That's where you expect to get yourlemon pepper seasoning and your flowers right right.
And so when the NAACP Image Awardscome around and people aren't recognized by
or the BT wards, you know, yeah, but I don't know about
(01:55:32):
people are feel mad at that shit. But go ahead, well, I
mean that's why I said that, because you know that stock is plummeting a
little bit, but the NAACP ImageAwards is still held in high regard.
So when you see and you knowhow you know how I felt about essence
Fest when I saw her MBA outletsget invited to essence Fest and they were
(01:55:56):
reporting the wrong names of the peoplebecause they didn't even know who they was
down there walking the monkst So thatwas real ignorant. Okay, Okay,
So I understand that sting of seeingcertain people in certain spaces that you aren't
invited to, that you're you aren'ta part of, and that you aren't
recognized in those spaces a man.But so Amanda basically said that she got
(01:56:19):
on social media on Instagram and shebasically said, like, you know,
if it wasn't for y'all, Iwould think I ain't shit. I would
think I don't do shit. Iwould think I ain't shit if it wasn't
for the y'all. And that's kindof the way I feel about the ICC
friends, Like if y'all was puttinga battery in my back every day or
telling me that y'all appreciate my site, or that hey friend like them.
(01:56:42):
Hey friends keep me going. Yeah, right, everybody needs motivation too,
right, because I feel like Iget overlooked in the space of media.
Yeah, I mean, god darn, I just got black balled in the
streets of Google. So it's like, I feel like I'm overlooked in media.
And I was talking to you recently. I was like, girl,
I don't get the little cool boxis no more like the little promotional boxes.
I don't get those anymore. WhenI get an interview opportunity, it's
(01:57:04):
to interview the girl who do thehair or the nails, or the guy
who sweep the floor of a show. I don't get talent anymore. And
you know, my people want tosee talent, celebrity, news and entertainment.
If it ain't a celebrity, it'snot going to work over here,
right, So you know, soI feel Amanda in that sense. But
then a conversation began, well, why isn't Amanda recognized in those spaces?
(01:57:29):
And there are some people who arelike Amanda, you are all these great
things, but at the same timethe most pleasant person to be around,
and so that that'll do it thatI've had people in the industry be like
Amanda Seels, no child, noGod, no God. So it's her
(01:57:55):
personality. So then I was sittingat home like, well is it me?
Like? But I know I lovepeople and I purposefully walk into rooms
trying to create a good impression. Some people may take it like girl,
she's trying to hard get her awayfrom me. But I understood. I
totally empathize and understand why Amanda feelshurt about not being any spaces because two
(01:58:23):
things can be right. I've alsoseen Amanda Seals walk into spaces and blow
them spaces up with her attitude, personality, whatever. Prime example when they
brought her onto The Real as thenew co host after I think Tamar left,
they got in Amanda Seals. Sheonly lasted six months, and what
(01:58:44):
did she do the minute she left? Started blasting the show, dragging the
co host, posting videos of them, she thought she when she was on
the show as her no and whenher co hosts were talking, she would
be making faces like like it's Ican't believe you saying this stupid. Like
first things first, even if meand you were in a space and I
said some studentishin or you said somestudent, we ain't gonna show each other
(01:59:08):
after the pop we'll be like girsaya, like, I got to edit
that whole thing out right. Youdon't get on national TV and ball your
face up while your hosts are speaking, even if you don't agree, right,
And so I have been told bypeople who are further and farther into
the industry than I have ever been, that Amanda's energy can be stank okay,
(01:59:32):
And even if you follow her onsocial media, which is probably not
a fair assessment for me to evensay this, Amanda oftentimes is argumentive.
She's either blasting people for something theysaid about her or to her in the
comments. Because Amanda is very outspoken, and you know, as an advocate
(01:59:53):
and being an activist, you haveI have to speak out against unpopular things
sometimes which automatically draws hate. Sowhen you experience that hate on a regular
basis, time after time after atime, I feel like it can taint
(02:00:15):
your personality, your soul, yourenergy. Remember when I had to leave
Facebook, when I was like,Yo, they get on my nerves so
bad on Facebook, Like they ruinedmy whole day. And so I'm thinking,
maybe that's kind of what's happening.Like she's fighting for so much and
she's frustrated and maybe, but hasshe always That's a curious is this is
(02:00:36):
her person that? Like? Wasshe always like this? Like? It's
so many questions I had because like, I don't really know a lot about
Amanda Sells. Well, I'm aboutto read something to you, not to
cut you off, and I don'twant y'all to think I'm being facetious or
being an asshole, or I'm makinglight. But just a little blurb about
(02:00:57):
Amanda Sells and y'all drop down inthe comments wherever you're listening and let me
know when you catch it. Itsays. Seals first film was a minor
role as Katie in the nineteen ninetythree movie Cop and had Excuse Me in
the nineteen ninety three movie Cop anda Half. Listen if all this other
shit don't work out I'm gonna dovoiceovers if like you can do it,
(02:01:20):
I can. That's right, herewe go. The next year, Seals
was featured on the Nickelodeon sitcom MyBrother and Me as Dion Wilburn. M
hm, nigga Nickelodeon again. Ohshit, I wasn't even paying attention to
(02:01:44):
that part. That's that's nuts.Wow. I don't know. At this
point, I think somebody need tostudy the Nickelodeon effect. Somebody is.
It's somebody out there doing it rightnow. We need like the trap Lord
Ross of this trapler Ross is theguy that broke down the King Vaughn serial
killer. Yeah, got somep wegot some people out here. I need
(02:02:08):
somebody on it. Reddit thread, right, I'm gonna go to it as
soon as we go. Meet meat Reddit. Oh, just to let
you know, I do now nowthat I do, I gotta you called
me out. Reddit is probably ifthere is an addiction, or like a
social media addiction, that will beReddit. Ah. She has I wake
(02:02:30):
up and every day I do haveto get my head or Reddit just a
little bit, get your Reddit bump. Yeah, because Reddit be worth y'all.
Whoever don't know about Reddit. Redditbe where it's at. Reddit is
like, I don't not explain.I'm gonna come up with I don't.
You're gonna have to. You haveto teach me in the world to reddit.
Now. I went into Reddit onceor twice. I was trying to
figure out if any of you arelike redditors, please put ice cream combos
(02:02:50):
in Reddit, because I'm trying tofigure out how to put ice cream combos
in Reddit. I want the Redditpeople to take off with my stuff.
I remember a positive way because I'min a positive reddit most of the water.
They so you beat me to it. Some of your favorite podcasters,
it's some reddits out there that rippedthem down. They so many. It's
(02:03:15):
very dark too, it can bereal dark. It's me I ended up
on Reddit. Oh damn. Iwas all right, I'm sorry because I'm
just so taken aback about how meanthey are. I as some of you
may know, the website went haywireout of nowhere. The devil is busy,
and I a lot of times findmyself having to try to fix find
(02:03:36):
what's wrong and fix my own websitebecause I am fully self contained. Well,
my search for answers or help ledme to Reddit because someone else asked
the same question that I needed helpfor, and those people in Reddit to
their asses up, it was didthey For instance, it was like,
(02:03:56):
how do I fix a door? And the Reddit responses would be, well
do you even know how to opena door? Recognize that one. I
was like, what hurts you?In charge? You have to be in
charge of ice cream combos? Ready. I can't go in there because I'd
be wanting to fight them inute somebodytalking. They had some greasy talkers in
there. But you just got tonavigate because you find I mean, you
(02:04:19):
find what you need and real plethoraof it. Just know that any question
in the world, anyone, anyquestion in the world that you want to
ask somebody else, Reddit is theplace that shows you, oh shit,
you were you were thinking about thisship too, but guess what? Or
you went through this too, andguess what. After I got black balled
by Google, Google has pushed Redditto the top of the search engines,
so when you search a question, when you search a question Reddit, Reddit
(02:04:41):
will come up first because that's wherethe answers is that I'm telling you I
don't know how they Then publishers arehurting bad for that because you ask people.
Say, for instance, if Ihave a website dedicated to how to
groom a dog, and if someonesays how to groom a dog and they
get a Reddit, they get aReddit first, and your website don't you
up no more? Yeah, whichhurt. I think I might know why
(02:05:02):
that happened. I mean, notnot why Google's doing that, but why
I read it is like a trustedand where people will go to people feel
safe and Reddit right, it's nota lot of misinformation and Reddit most of
the time it's facts and proof becausepeople will show like you can't just go
on reddit it and say, uh, the sky's purple, like you got
to come in there with real documentsand like real facts, or you'll get
(02:05:24):
as yeah, you asked to getate up. So I think that's why
people. I know, that's whyI go there. I trust I know
what I can find. I allread it is accurate. But I know
that I can go and Reddit andsomehow, some way fine an answer to
something I need versus you know,Google's so saturated with false information it is
yep. So now, yeah,Reddit results are are prioritized in search your
(02:05:48):
results. So just now that I'vesaid that to you just take note when
you start googling different things. Ifit's a question, more than likely you'll
get a Reddit. Oh, it'salways a reddit. I google Reddit,
though. I'm one of those peoplethat google's reddit, so like, if
I have a question, I'll Googlethe question and put reddit right after it
all day. I've been doing thatfor damn near a year. I know
(02:06:08):
that I want to get right tothe meat of it. I don't need
you to take me here there allthese people lying about I don't need I
need a fact. I'm telling y'allthat's just for me. How quickly do
you think I'll get suit if Ichanged the day with it, like the
ice cream Reddit? But you know, you were actually on the reddit years
(02:06:29):
ago and we just didn't know. You're always ahead of the wave. When
I want to say, maybe tenyears ago. Yep, it was a
Kevin Hart story, you right out, and I posted on Reddit. Carlo,
make sure you hit it on reddit. Make sure we hit it on
reddit. God darn beheaded. Itwas a headed wave with this podcast and
things you'd be told. And ify'all don't believe, y'all'll probably go back.
And it wasn't even called a podcast. When we started it was called
(02:06:51):
internet radio. This Zobby, beahead of the waves. That's why you're
gonna make it so, that's whyI keep Goby ahead of the wave and
then be drowning. I can't swim. Make it makes sense, Jesus getting
aheaded away to drowning. Lord, they got to open the door up and
let y'all know. This is allour real conversation. Make it makes sense.
(02:07:12):
But you know the only thing Icould the only recommendation I can give
a man the seals is go whereyou loved and if you can't find somewhere,
just go home. Freach. No, Zob, you're laughing, but
that is good. I was gonnasay to you. It's hard to like.
This is how I feel when itcomes to awards. Does it really
matter? Because from what I see, most awards is politicals. Who I
don't know an award out there thatthere's not some type of finessing involved for
(02:07:38):
people to get it. Just becausesomeone receives an award were strength attached.
Just because someone receives an award doesn'tmake them the best. That's just how
I say that. It doesn't peoplethat awards all day every day, we
all I had that person back whenwe was in school and like that guy,
that boy can't even reading with hisfinger, reading with his finger the
(02:08:01):
cat wait wait remember it was like, shoot, what was that Martin?
When Martin was like Mary had Marysaid, I'll tell you it's a mark.
(02:08:24):
Yes, yes, Martin. Lawrenceliterally just brought that right back to
the beginning of the show. Ilove about That's a great place for us
to close. Yes, yes, yeah, back to the morning. That's
been fun. Oh my gosh.Yeah, this is great. This is
absolutely great. If you tune infor the entire two hours, you are
the real M v P. Carla. It is so good to be back
on these microphones. You. Yes, yes, I am so happy that
(02:08:48):
the pot is back. And I'mlooking forward to uh booking us some guests,
Carl, i'mnna start booking us someguests. Let's go. There's some
people come in and and and ying, ying, But I'm gonna treat them
the same way to industry treat me. You only get ten minutes, so
be coming up in here trying tolay up half snacks and put your feet
on our couch. You get andthis ain't club either, And you know
(02:09:11):
what I'm saying, let's put thatout there. I ain't hating it.
And now the bag is I lovethe bag that the guy. The reason
I'm putting that out there is,you're not gonna come here and take because
I feel like people come on ClubSha shape and take over and take over,
and I think that's like the worst. That's a rip, like one
thing you should never do. AndI learned this from Xavier and the best.
Never let someone come on your showand control you show. You can't
(02:09:31):
let them. It's your show, you know. So yeah, yeah,
I know a couple of people thatdid r They asked us right back here,
and I'm thinking of what, butI ain't gonna say no name.
It's an actress. Everybody knows that. If you go back to if you
go back to some of our oldshows, and please y'all check out like,
please check out some of our oldshows too, like for the new
i C series. Oh yeah, put them old shows out. If you
(02:09:52):
check them old shows, you willsee how far along the Lord has brought
us. We used to do thepodcast over the phone, remember that over
the phone, And one night lightningstruck and knocked out my telephone line.
Oh my god. Every time wewould mention a certain person, remember we
yeah, well we do the internetconnection. Man, we went through a
(02:10:16):
lot. We've been doing this fora long time, but we prime.
I promise you all, we're gonnabe more consistent. Absolutely, absolutely,
I'm gonna take accountability. I gottabe more consistent. Now, we would
take an actress, that actress you'rereferring to as bad as I need a
bag, you're gonna bring her back. I wouldn't bring her back for a
bag. Listen. Now, no, I would not bring her back for
(02:10:37):
a bag. No. I hadan actress dropped. Listen, I had
an actress who and I said,I know. I said, we used
Finna go. That's that. Look, that's that? All right then?
And you're still talking listen. I'mserious. I'm gonna leave after this.
There was an actress, very popularactress on a very very popular TV show.
(02:10:58):
She used to be a huge IC. C. Friend, always
in the comments, always supporting, used to d M me. We used
to kick it. I interviewed herand everything, so you are know where
I'm going as soon as you say, you know, I ain't heard from
that girl. And over a yearonce I can't believe that. Once the
other blogs started posting her, sheghosted me. It was pushing her music
(02:11:20):
too, wasn't you were talking aboutthe same person. No, we know,
I know who you. I knowwho you talking about. She got
how about that too? Yes,she did get funny style too. That's
why you only get ten minutes on. IC said, oh, I know
you're talking about now. Now youknow when the other blogs started posting her,
(02:11:41):
she got new. Yeah she did. Okay, yeah, you know.
She popped in my d MS lastnight. Stop she had the with
the audacity dms stopped, hopped downin my DM. Yeah, blah,
she hopped in my d M lastnight. And here's the here's the wild
(02:12:01):
part. Popped in my d M. Did not say hi, Hello,
hey, ho hey glow. Sheain't saying nothing. She basically sent me
another actress. I guess that's herfriend, and was like, she's an
amazing actress on this show. Showher some love. It's women's history months
(02:12:22):
what that That's exactly how that Themessage came through just like that. I'm
I'm gonna read it verbatim just tomake her I ain't lying on nobody,
because accuracy is so important to me. People are I'm I'm surprised. She
oh, this is what she wrote. So she sent the photo a photo
of her, and she put sheis representing us in this show. Let's
(02:12:46):
go name of the actress, showher some love on Women's History Month with
an exclamation point, and let metell you what I wrote back? Hello,
Yeah, all is well? Yes, hello you? I hit her
with the when you walk in yourhouse and you think you too cute?
Hello, Hello, You're gonna kickit back to a TV show. You
sound like D because I remember episodeof What's Happened to D? Like you
(02:13:09):
speak when you come in? Don'tyou see me on the phone? Don't
you see me on the phone?Listen? Walk into my dr from your
black melanated as over a year andthe first thing you tell me is I
need to be showing somebody else love. You know what this came from.
This is what I used to dofor her. She was new in the
(02:13:30):
game to post everything about her andnow, oh girl, got you.
I know what, dummy? Thatwill blow you up. And then when
the other blogs start posting you, then you can bounce like, nah,
she's got the right one. Y'allnot gonna play in my face. We
once, Okay, I go getme a gid hm hmm. That's wild
people. I just I'm just amazedat how people I would never have the
(02:13:54):
I don't get the courage to holdon, hold on. But here's how,
here's how I know that she's sofaking phony. I put hello,
Hope all is well? Hello, how about a greeting. Let's start with
a greeting? She wrote back,Hey, y'all, huh, I'm well,
(02:14:15):
Hope, how are y'all? Now? Bestie? I know I put
on a few pounds since the lasttime we podcast, But bitch, when
I became a y'all, I'm bigenough to be a y'all. You don't
even know how many people you don'tforgot? Who over here? Oh my
god, y'all, y'all, Ican't even believe. Yeah, I believe
you because I know it's true, but that shit is crazy to me.
(02:14:37):
People show you it is just tomake sure that you know because I'm hoping,
yeah, please show me no wayfor real? Yes way? And
you know that was my god?You know, I furious, yes this
(02:15:01):
one. We're right there and youknow who I'm talking about, and you
know what showed she on how hardin the pain I went for her?
Yo, how hard? And Idon't trust me. I get the fact
that, and I'm in the factthat I promote complete strangers every single day.
(02:15:22):
I promote complete strangers who don't payme thus every single day on my
site. But when I see somethingspecial in somebody and I support y'all,
you show love back when they showlove back, you know, I'm I'm
like the cat that you feed thatcat one time, and I'm gonna keep
(02:15:45):
showing up to Yeah, that's butthat, But that's how it's nothing wrong
with that. That's the way Isupported her because I wanted people to recognize
the star, right. I wantedpeople to recognize the star in her.
I wanted people to show her thatbecause she deserved it. And the moment,
damn, a bigger, more popularblog posted her. I ain't heard
(02:16:07):
from her since. That's crazy though, But then she trying to use the
Disavvey effect on another app job thatI ain't never heard of before. She
show us how I pushed and promotedher. That's nuts, though, Okay,
Damn, that's why I stopped independentartists. Me and Carla used to
(02:16:31):
blow y'all glasses up, and theny'all, y'all don't know nobody after the
fact. They was to get funnystyle quick, okay, I would show
that all the dall. Girl.I know, y'all, you don't even
remember that I'm I run this wholeoperation, right. Oh yeah, you
haven't talked to me in a year. You probably figured I got a staff.
(02:16:54):
Bright now I've been owning. I'vebeen running ice cream convos for fourteen
years. I don't I hate sayingby myself because I don't feel like it's
by myself. I feel like younumber one. You were in the trenches
with me. You gave me oneand you'll help, but you help me
build this business right as far asrunning it, like you run this whole
(02:17:15):
fucking show by yourself. But thenand then you know, JB jumped on
and he was doing work with mefor a while. But still at the
end of the day. I explainedto someone the other day they said,
well, talk to me about yourstaff. I was like, well,
whatever questions you have for my staff, I can answer them, right,
y'all. I am the staff,like I'm the CEO, I'm the cf
(02:17:39):
O. Well no, well,I am kind of the CFO. But
I got an accountant, so Igot to shoot Diana. Somebody Diana be
keeping the funds funded. Okay, listen, Diana over the fighting for her
life for me right now? Okay, Diana. Yeah, Diana, she's
the real because she doesn't save ICCa couple of times. But my thing
(02:18:03):
is, I work so hard thatthere are some people who don't know no
better who think I am fully staffed. Yeah, you would, because it's
that good. The work is thatand the way you the content that's put
out, you would. No onethinks that's one person I'm telling. I
told you that all the time. But yeah, she tried it. She
tried to get her friend the promopackage. Didn't talk to her in a
(02:18:26):
year or so, you know, not since the last season of that show
came out. For real. Yeah, we had to talk about that later
because that that had got me feelingsome type of way too. I ain't
trying to yeah glow wow, Allright, y'all. Megan A. Stallion
(02:18:50):
just announced her uh the dates forher Hot Girls Summer tour uh uh.
And this is fresh off the press. It'll be kicking off in May Minneapolis
and it rap in July and Washington, d C. So I'm gonna go
ahead and get off this podcast andget these dates up to you and Carlo.
On the next podcast, I wantto talk about hip hop and the
(02:19:13):
women in hip hop because I wasthinking to myself the other day and I'm
gonna just leave y'all with this finalthought. I watched the music video recently
and I said, if I putthis on mute, I wouldn't know if
I was watching a music video orjust watching a prostitute emotional video. Yes,
because that's a that's a that,that's a good that. Wow,
(02:19:35):
it's a definitely, that's definitely atopic we need to touch women in hip
hop. And and this is nodisrespect because I love my black queens and
I love black women, but womenin hip hop, a large majority of
it is giving all of it,all of it, mainstream, all of
it, right, I think, mainstream wise all of it the one,
(02:19:58):
yeah, the ones one to getelevated and get the attentions. And for
the record, I am not callingany one a prostitute. I said,
it's giving right, institute, okay, because I don't want to call anybody
out of their name. During Women'sHistory Month, you saw they gave Drea
enough hell to hold. That's downfor enough women listen, And like I
said, were not explaining You clearlysaid oh yeah, yeah, I said
(02:20:20):
what I said. You're standing onbusiness like you guys little never you never
called anyone a prostitute. You neverlike And if that's the way y'all interpret
it, well that's on y'all.Yeah, Like we can't control how people
interpret shit. That's the that's yeah, that's gonna give it to you.
What you do with it is onyour own. Yeah, straight up.
And I'm gonna still sleep great atnight. Yeah, ooh, I know
(02:20:41):
that's right, melotonin and everything. All right, So guys, thank you
so much for tuning into today's podcast. Carly and I sincerely appreciate your support.
We are super super glad to beback. It feels good. It
literally feels good to be back, like to sit here and look at my
best friend and shoot the ship likey'all. These podcasts will only give you
(02:21:03):
a glimpse of the Tom Fooler andShenan against Carla and I talk about on
the telephone, because if we talkyou all the way we talk on the
telephone, we're gonna get canceled. So we're doing something like that though in
the future. I'm talking about somethingthat I thought about on the level.
Yeah, but I see we talkedabout it before. But I think we
this like now, in this space, we can actually implement and just do
(02:21:26):
it. Let's do it. Let'sdo it. Let's do it, do
it, do it? You wantto do it in my butt? I
said, what what? You wantto do it in my butt? Okay?
Or a bag a prostitution JB killme. One of two things gonna
(02:21:52):
happen. JB either gonna kill mefor saying it, or he gonna show
up with a bag of h outof this. All right, guys,
thanks for listening to the i cC Podcast. New episodes drop every Thursday
on your favorite streaming platform. Ic C. We all, we got
