Dal 28 marzo chi aveva Alexa in versione salvaprivacy perderà questa funzione e sarà costretto, come già fanno tutti gli altri utenti Alexa, ad inviare ad Amazon l‘audio dei propri comandi affinché Amazon lo elabori con i suoi computer. La storia di Alexa e degli assistenti vocali in generale è piena di violazioni della privacy, ma ci sono alternative ad Amazon, Google e Apple che consentono di riprendersi il controllo dei propri dispositivi domotici senza dover accettare di avere un microfono sempre aperto in casa.
