Speaker 6 (04:53):
And Bob Lovel this is Indiana Sports stuck.
Speaker 1 (04:56):
We're glad you're with us on sectional Friday night, let's
talk about champ and Ship's Carmel Westfield. Big ball game
around the state, and one of the better ones around.
So that's why you have Greg Rigshawl on the call
of this or the ISC Sports Network. Carmel with a
twenty three to three win. Greg, thanks for the call, too, heavyweights,
(05:16):
and this is a pretty good game, pretty good ball game.
Speaker 7 (05:19):
Tonight corrected and Westfield gets the overtime win twenty three
to twenty. They reverse what was a twenty four point
loss in week number two. Carmel season comes to an
end at nine and two. Westfield led fourteen to nothing,
led seventeen to seven at the end of the first half,
(05:42):
did not score a point in the second half, yet
gets the game winning touchdown. Having the ball second in overtime, Bob,
they go for it on fourth and goal at the
four yard line. They throw the Tim Tebow jump pass
on the final play of the game, their starting quarterback
(06:02):
at the beginning of the year, but he kind of
splits the job. Now. Senior Aiden Grabowski finds balen Connor
with the winning touchdown deliver Westfield their third consecutive postseason
win against Carmel and to move on to hosting the
regional championship against Fishers next Friday night.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
Well, I'm happy for Josh Miracle. I mean, you know,
labored as an assistant, longtime assistant for Jake Gilbert, and
he gets the opportunity and they listen, they've been both
of these teams have been solid all year long.
Speaker 6 (06:32):
That's why this is such an intriguing game.
Speaker 7 (06:34):
Absolutely, you know, and again this was you know, when
Westfield played them in week number two, they were a
little bit beaten up and then a little bit young.
On the offensive side. There's still a young team offensively.
You know, Grabowski is a senior. Most of their defense
or their offensive lineman seniors. A lot of their skilled
position kids are sophomores or juniors. Heck, they're leading receiver
(06:56):
tonight is Caaden Snow, who is a freshman. Now you've
probably heard of his dad justin longtime long snapper for
the NAPIST, and Kayden is quite the prospect. But Westfield,
the fact they kind of jumped on this game early
and got themselves in early to think that kind of
set them up to have success as the game went along.
But your point is well made about Josh Miracle.
Speaker 6 (07:18):
You know it is.
Speaker 7 (07:19):
It is not easy to be the guy that follows
the guy that was so good at this, as Jake
Gibbert was and is, and in fact, because Jake's son
plays for Westfield, Jake was at the game tonight and
kind of taken all of this them before he heads
over to Oberlin for the Wabash game tomorrow. So a
great football game and obviously a big win for the
(07:41):
Westfield Shamrocks.
Speaker 6 (07:43):
Now you may have said this, but I missed it.
Who are they playing next week?
Speaker 7 (07:48):
So they will host Fishers. Fishers beat day sc in
month Doog two point zero, So I do we'd have
two Hamilton County teams playing each other again for a
regional championship, but it'll be conference rivals Westfield and Fishers
that will square off next Friday night.
Speaker 6 (08:06):
All right, I know you're not in Germany. I'm glad
to hear you're here.
Speaker 1 (08:10):
So but you know, unless you get on some super
sunnings yet going and fly back and do the postgame show,
it's gonna be hard.
Speaker 7 (08:20):
Uh not available to me this evening, Bob. So yes,
I am, I am domestic. I've got the volleyball state
finals tomorrow and then I'll have the postgame show state
Side at twelve thirty on Sunday afternoon.
Speaker 6 (08:33):
I will talk to you tomorrow night. Greg Raystrawt and
the IFC Network.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
UH Westfield over Carmel twenty three to twenty in overtime. Greg, Thanks,
be safe. We'll talk to you soon.
Speaker 7 (08:43):
Thanks Jeach.
Speaker 6 (08:46):
High School Football. We keep talking.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
We got championships all pale Bes trit In Central twenty
eight to fifteen tonight.
Speaker 6 (08:53):
Brad Heaver from Indiana High School Sports dot Com. Brad,
thanks to the call. Very impressive win. That were a
great Lapel team. Yes it was.
Speaker 8 (09:03):
Lapel jumped out to a twenty one to nothing lead,
got help from a couple of interceptions that they got
defensively from the quarterback Trighton Setrol, and so they scored
early in the first quarter on a dun Craig to
bringing Paisley twenty yard touchdown made it six zero, and
then off an interception Jack Miller a three yard touchdown
(09:25):
run to make it fourteen to nothing. And then in
the second quarter Devin Craig isolland Jackson Kraft for twenty
one nothing Lad, but then Trighton Central came fighting back.
Matthew Wilkins Braydon Brown on a very impressive fourth down
and eleven at the twenty nine yard line with six
seconds to go in the half, and that made it
twenty one to eight. And then they scored again in
(09:48):
the third quarter, so that made it the ballgame at
twenty one to fifteen. But then Devin Craig on third
down a fourteen yard touchdown kind of edged the game
away twenty eight to fifteen, and Lapel stays undefeated on
the year.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Yeah, they're undefeated for a reason, and they are well
put together group, and you're up there, up close and personal,
you can see it. Great skilled players. Defensively, they're as
solid as anybody. It's another impressive win for them.
Speaker 9 (10:17):
Yeah, no doubt.
Speaker 8 (10:18):
They have a lot of weapons on this football team,
from Jack Miller to their carback Devin Craig to other
members of the team as well. So they are just
really really deep and Twel Andell looking for a regional championship.
Next week they have to go to Lutheran, so that
will be a very tough pass. But I expect a
(10:38):
very good game down to Indianapolis next week between Lapel and.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Print Outstanding your ball State Cardinals pick up a basketball
win today, so I know you're happy about that.
Speaker 8 (10:50):
That's good. I did not see that obviously because I
was doing this game, but that's right. Ball got to win.
They beat Louisiana earlier in the week. Football got big
win earlier the week and says Alive foot ball l
Jabelde has to win to have the final three. So
pretty good start and November so far for ball State.
Speaker 6 (11:10):
Brad Huber, He's the best. Brad. Thanks for the call,
Have a great night thek you coach, you too. Coming up,
we're gonna.

Speaker 6 (14:03):
Welcome back, everybody. This is Indiana's Sports Sectional Action Tonight.
Here's a great one.
Speaker 1 (14:09):
Eastbrook and Eastern battling it out for championship. This one
goes to Eastbrook thirty one to twenty eight winners over Eastern.
Dalton Bishop from the Action Sports Network joins us, Dalton's.
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Great to hear from you again. You had a great
game to call tonight.
Speaker 10 (14:25):
Yeah, I sure did, coach, it was something else. The
Eastbrook Panthers a team that has been resilient all year.
They've battled the injury, they've come back. They had their
backs against the wall to Alexandria a couple of weeks
ago and ended up winning in a miraculous comeback game.
For Jeff Adamson's crew, and tonight was much of the similar.
(14:46):
They were down twenty eight to seventeen at halftime. Gibson Eagle,
the quarterback for Eastern, had connected with Bentley Hollinger, who's
his number one receiver, for three touchdowns, and then the
running back for Eastern, Isaiah Pickett, also had a touchdown
late in the half that made it twenty eight to fourteen.
Eastbrook did kick a field goal at the in the
(15:07):
half to make it twenty eight seventeen. At the start
of the second half, Eastern was supposed to receive the
second half kickoff, and Jeff Adamson pulled one out of
his hat and kicked a pooch kick of the front
line and Eastbrook recovered it, went down six plays later,
scored a touchdown and took the pat They were up
(15:27):
twenty eight to twenty four in the third quarter. Later
in the third quarter, Isaiah Pickett, the running back for Eastern,
on a couple of runs had Eastern deep in the
Eastbrook territory. Eastern was then handing the ball off to
Isaiah Pickett. He had a fit yard run and then
the ball was punched out and Eastbrook recovered on a
(15:48):
fumble and the Panthers had a fourteen yard seven minute
drive and scored a touchdown took the pat They went
up thirty one to eight, and with about four minutes
left to go in the fourth quarter, Eastern kicked a
field goal from twenty six yards to try to tie
the ball game and missed it was able to get
(16:09):
the ball back. They went forward on four to two
with about three minutes to go and the pass was
incomplete and Eastbrook took over and ran the clock out
their quarterback. Though Eastbrook's quarterback body how a kid is phenomenal.
I know he was on the Pat McAfee show because
of the Alexandria play, and he deserves the attention coach.
(16:29):
He had two hundred and eighty six yards rushing tonight,
three touchdowns and the kid is just a warrior, made
a couple of plays defensively. And Jeff Adamson he's a
Hall of Famer for a reason, and he's get a
big time matchup next week.
Speaker 6 (16:45):
Against who.
Speaker 10 (16:48):
They get Adam Central Adam michel So appear Hall of
Fame coach with Michael Moser and Jeff Adamson going at it.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
Yeah, absolutely Dalton Bisher from the Action Sports Network on
the call of Eastbrooks thirty one to twenty eight win
over Eastern Dalton.
Speaker 6 (17:04):
Great to talk to you. We'll talk to you next weekend.
Speaker 10 (17:06):
Thanks for the call, yeah, coach, of course, looking forward
to it and thanks for.
Speaker 8 (17:11):
All you do.
Speaker 6 (17:13):
You're welcome. Thank you very much. Ron Collie Shtard matchup tonight,
Sectional Championship. This one goes to Ron callying twenty six
six winners over Shtard with me from the Shitard Network,
Jimmy excuse me from the Ron Collie Network, Jimmy Cook
and Jimmy Solid. Solid win tonight for Ron Collie, coach.
Speaker 11 (17:35):
It was incredible, great, great to talk to you. This
is a flip of the script from a Week three
matchup that saw the Trojans win this ball game by
twenty two. That matchup also in the heart of broader
Pool like tonight was. But you thought, when these two
get together, the oldest continuous foe that Ron Kelly has
on their schedule, you can throw out pass meetings, you
can throw it all out. Anything's going to be possible.
(17:57):
It started though, like it was going to be an
ugly rock five. Both teams wind up punting their opening
drives the ballgame. Ron Kelly's able to get the scoring
off first on an eight yard touchdown run by Colin
Ash to make it seven to nothing. Their quarterback, who
has been responsible for north of thirty touchdowns through the
air and on the ground combined, gets the scoring started.
They then turn Chatard over on downs, but are forced
(18:19):
to punt in their own right the following drive, then
one of two Jack Harrington interceptions. Tonight, coach, you don't
often hear tip of the Caps in a rivalry game
like this, but if you've heard the stories Jack Harrington,
everything's going on with his knee. An absolutely gussy performance
by that young man Tonight to tough it out for
the Trojans. He was still pretty solid throughout despite those
(18:43):
two picks. He finishes twelve to twenty six for one
to eighty six and two interceptions, but Ron Kelly was
able to limit him with pressure throughout. Ron Colly with
next fine scoring opportunities via two field goals to end
the half by their kick Gavin Luthane, one from twenty
eight the other from forty three to make it thirteen
(19:04):
to nothing. As we went to the dressing rooms, Chatard
would then roll the dice.
Speaker 6 (19:09):
To open the.
Speaker 11 (19:12):
Assuming correction on that got ahead of myself there. Ron
Colly would then give up their only touchdown of the ballgame,
that a six yard reception for the Trojans to make
it thirteen to six. Ron Klly would get one more
field goal out of Gavin Luthane for good measure to
make it sixteen to six of the break. From there
it was all ron Colly. Schatard rolled the dice for
a long, methodical possession to take seven minutes off the clock,
(19:34):
where they missed a field goal to open the third.
Ron Kylly would then score in six plays to twenty
seven off the clock, a fifty yard touchdown pass from
ashtra Raider to make it twenty three to six, and
then later in this ballgame the fourth field goal of
the contest for Gavin Luthane twenty six to six ron Klli.
They lose to Shatar in the regular season by twenty two.
(19:54):
They beat them by twenty to night by a final
of twenty six to six, and are headed to Yorktown
next week for a regional showdown. The twenty four sectional
title coach in program history for the Royals.
Speaker 6 (20:08):
What a great night. Well, what are you great night?
Speaker 1 (20:10):
We all know if you're in the Indianapolis area, you
understand this matchup and how important and intense it is.
And Ron Callay over Shitar twenty six to six. Jimmy Cook,
great to talk to you. Great to run into you
last night. I'll look forward to seeing you tuesday.
Speaker 11 (20:26):
Thanks for the call, and coach, if I may tomorrow,
thank you at Hankle I You Indy Jaguars, Ben Howell
and this team are a fun watch. That's a historic venue.
Five o'clock tomorrow. Comes forth to Jags if you can.
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Jimmy, the radio voice of the Jaguars. Jimmy, thanks very much.
Speaker 6 (20:45):
Have a great night, Coach. We have a lot more
football to talk about. Let's keep talking about it.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
Kurt Darling from w m u N on the call
of Yorktown's twenty eight to ten win over Pendleton Heights
for their second championship. Kurt, thanks for the call, What
a great win for Yorktown tonight.
Speaker 12 (21:07):
Coach bidding you have me go right after Jimmy because
it'll be Yorktown and Roncali next week in the regional
final for that one. So that'll be certainly one to
look forward to as well. But yeah, Yorktown and Pendleton Heights.
The last time these two teams played it was back
in Week number five and it was a twenty five
four to twenty two win for Pendleton Heights, and so
(21:30):
these two teams were pretty much preordained to face each
other again into for a sectional championship based on how
the draw came out.
Speaker 6 (21:36):
But it was one of those games that really.
Speaker 12 (21:39):
Slugged along in the first quarter. In fact, both of
these teams exchanging punts or even turns over turnovers on down.
But Nate lou Zada would break the stalemate late in
the first quarter. He would bust one open eighty yards
for a touchdown to make it seven nothing. And then
after that Pendleton Heights drove down the field again, could
not get it into the end zone off of a
(21:59):
second field goal in the night, and so then they
turnover it on downs. That's when Yorktown gets the ball
back and they drive it all the way down and
then Nate LUs Otter, or rather I should say Sam Tokar,
throws an interception. But then right after that, Cooper lous Otter,
the younger brother of Nate lose Otter, gets an interception
right back takes it back to the red zone of
(22:20):
Pendleton Heights and then that sets up Nate lose Otter
for another touchdown to make it fourteen nothing. Pendleton Heights
would get a field goal to make it fourteen to
three at the half, but after that Yorktown really controlled
the possession in the second half. Pendleton Heights only had
the ball twice the entire second half and so the
clock wound down, they were able to get on the
board a couple more times.
Speaker 7 (22:41):
And this is the fourth time that.
Speaker 12 (22:43):
Head coach Mike Wilhelm has won a sectional championship in
his twenty one years now at Yorktown, and it's their
first one since twenty twenty two. It's a big tip
of the cat to the entire team tonight here for
Yorktown and they're gonna have a big matchup next week
against Ronklli. It'll be fun, it'll be excited, and it'll
be at home for your town, so they're certainly looking
forward to that one.
Speaker 1 (23:05):
I'm looking forward to it too. I'm looking forward to
talking to you again. So now you have the day
off tomorrow, you've got a chance to hang out with
the wife.
Speaker 6 (23:14):
Is that or are you busy? Coach?
Speaker 12 (23:17):
I will be calling Southern Indiana FC tomorrow. They're taking
on Internashville and UPSL Sound Direction, so they're looking for
their third win in a row and to at least
keep pacing the conference.
Speaker 6 (23:28):
Call me tomorrow night. I'll look forward to it.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
From w and Munsey Kurt Darling on the call of
Yorktown's twenty eight ten win over Penalton Heights. Coming up
more football on Network Indiana's Indiana Sports Talk.

Napolis Colts travel to London to take on the Atlanta
Falcons in the International Game slate coming Excuse me, they're
(24:49):
in ferl In, not London. In the International Game slate
coming up on Sunday at nine thirty a m. Here's
head coach Shane Steichen talking about playing overseas.
Speaker 13 (25:00):
Yeah, I think anytime you go over seas and playing
a different country, it's great for the National Football League
in general. You know, obviously the game is evolving, it's
becoming an international game. You know, you see players coming
in from the NFL from all over the place now,
and I think it's a great opportunity for our organization.
I think it's a great opportunity for the NFL just
to see how big, you know, the NFL is becoming
(25:23):
on a global stage. So I think it's going to
be great to get over there and go in front
of fans. I know, they wear all types of different jerseys.
I'm sure there's gonna be whistles and bells and all
that different things, and you know, it's going to be
a really exciting and great experience for our team.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
That's Shane Stiching on Cold Stuff Com. Indianapolis play defensive
Tacital Divorce fuck'er on ir today. Due to a neck injury,
he will miss a minimum of four games. Did not

Speaker 14 (26:43):
Yeah. Nineteen ninety seven coach lanch Scybe with really one
okay sectional rebinant. So I talked with him today. I said, Hey,
my goal is to try to join you and he goes,
you're gonna get her done. So, uh, you know, it's
been a really really cool thing for this community. I
(27:04):
think everybody's pretty excited. So it's been a great night
for Lebanon football.
Speaker 1 (27:08):
Well it's been a great year for Lebanon football. Let's
be honest, Josh. This is you know, it's in the culmination.
I mentioned it earlier when you met with your guys
back in the spring and through the summer. This was
the goal and this was where you wanted to be
as a group at this particular time, and it came
to fruition for you.
Speaker 14 (27:26):
It really did Logan sport and it to them. They
are a tough football team and we had difficulties stopping
what they were doing. But you know, to your point,
all summer long, even through the regular season, we talked
about the things that people thought we couldn't do, and
and we just kept knocking down those barriers. And you know,
(27:49):
it's something I tell our players all the time, just
stack good plays together. And before we went on the field,
I said, you've not only stacked good plays together, you
stacked games together and right, and you know, the process
kind of led itself to where we're at now, and
so I'm just really happy for these kids.
Speaker 6 (28:07):
Well you should be. Are you in control of this
most of the way?
Speaker 3 (28:11):
Are you?
Speaker 6 (28:12):
It seems to me it's a pretty close ball game.
Speaker 14 (28:16):
It was very We were down early.
Speaker 15 (28:17):
It was down, we were down seven, nothing came back,
tied it up, and then ended up getting up at
halftime fourteen to seven, I'm sorry, fourteen to ten, and
then we we shared touchdowns in the second half, and
that's kind of where it ended. Our defense had a turnover,
(28:39):
a pick and a stop on fourth down to basically
steal the game.
Speaker 14 (28:44):
So you know, it was a great team victory.
Speaker 6 (28:49):
Who stood out in your mind for you tonight in
their play tonight?
Speaker 14 (28:53):
Our quarterback Chris Hill, I mean really put us on
his shoulders. He ran the ball hard, He threw through
some really good balls. He had a great a great
throw from probably about forty yards out on a wheel
to hit for a touchdown. You just know, we ran
a lot to our quarterback tonight, and you just carry us.
(29:14):
So our quarterback played well, Our receivers played well. Tannon
minded bram Lango, Bartoles, and Jake Jones. Those guys were
incredible tonight.
Speaker 6 (29:25):
So who's up next?
Speaker 14 (29:29):
Dwanger? Okay, the very football team.
Speaker 6 (29:34):
Sure, so they've been I.
Speaker 14 (29:37):
Think they shout out, he's noble.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
They did, they did?
Speaker 1 (29:41):
Yeah, yeah, all right, go downtown. Don't forget to celebrate,
have some fun, enjoy it. You deserve it. I appreciate
the call. Josh Sjoeder from Elebanon. They beat Logansport twenty
one to seventeen. Headed in for the celebration. Coach, good
luck next week.
Speaker 14 (29:57):
Thank you, Bob.
Speaker 6 (29:58):
Appreciate it, Thank you, Thank you. Brian Duggar joins us,
the football coach from Martinsville.
Speaker 1 (30:03):
Martins Hill beats Beckford North Lawrence forty nine to thirty
five for their sectional championship.
Speaker 6 (30:08):
Coach, thanks so much of the call, and congratulations on
the win.
Speaker 16 (30:13):
Hey, thanks Bob. Extremely proud of our kids, you know,
Bedford got us in week one, and to come back
and just to dial in and have the week we did,
and then to put it right on Friday night in
front of a big crowd at ciderwitch Field. Just a
lot of fun and just just so proud of our
kids going back to back sexual champs. We hadn't done
(30:34):
that since the nineties, so I just just super proud
of our kids.
Speaker 1 (30:39):
Well, I think you're proud of the comeback they made
because you did not get the start of the season
the way you wanted it.
Speaker 16 (30:46):
No, No, And some of that was you know, we
talked a lot with our kids that we you know,
we were kind of sailing on yesterday's wind a little bit,
thinking that we wereight just gonna come into this season
and go to the semi state again. And sometimes you
need a wake up call like that. And uh, Bedford,
Bedford is so much improved this year. Coach did did
a great job with them. They're just hard to stop
(31:07):
and they do great things and make plays.
Speaker 7 (31:08):
Left and right.
Speaker 16 (31:09):
Uh So they kind of punched us in the mouth
of a whole bit week one. And again, you know
at that Monday when we got back together that monday,
our kids were already talking about wanting.
Speaker 6 (31:19):
Them again in the secinal.
Speaker 16 (31:20):
So really proud of them getting to work, you know,
putting their head down and getting to work and uh
taking advantage of that that second chance.
Speaker 6 (31:28):
Offensively, you had to be thrilled with how your kids
performed tonight.
Speaker 4 (31:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 16 (31:33):
I mean we we we were hitting on a lot
of cylinders tonight, you know, Lucas Dewey, our our senior
junior All state kid who hopefully be All Statey Kennon
as a senior. Uh, he rushed for over two hundred
and thirty yards a night and four touchdowns.
Speaker 7 (31:46):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (31:46):
He was just a warrior.
Speaker 16 (31:47):
They and it took three or four guys to bring
him down. Uh, you know, every time it was third
and short, he was yelling, just give me the ball,
you know, and he he was just he was he
was great. Uh, Landon Casey had some big plays early
and we were able to chase Davis, our quarterback find
him a couple of times for some big plays over
top when they were starting to tighten the box up.
Speaker 7 (32:07):
Uh he hit Ah, he hit a bubble.
Speaker 16 (32:08):
Screen for about sixty five yards. So our kids just
made the plays that they were supposed to make when
when their numbers were called, and our offensive line was
was any time you rush for two thirty, our offensive
line was was outstanding as well.
Speaker 6 (32:22):
All right, who's up to next week?
Speaker 16 (32:25):
We play a really good Hairted Chills team. I know
they're extremely well coached. Haven't spent a lot of time
looking at him yet, just because we.
Speaker 6 (32:33):
Were all in on Bedford this week and right and
care about. But I know they've got two unbelievable.
Speaker 16 (32:38):
Football players and and they're and and and coach Wilkson
does a great job. Uh so I think they're they're
they're one of the premiere programs around.
Speaker 8 (32:46):
So we got to go there.
Speaker 16 (32:47):
That's gonna be, uh you know.
Speaker 6 (32:49):
A pain.
Speaker 17 (32:50):
You know.
Speaker 16 (32:50):
I was always told you're always down seven points every
hour you drive, so it teams up. We're down fourteen already,
So we got to go down there and shake out
the cobwebs at the road trap and play really good
football against a really good football team.
Speaker 1 (33:04):
Martin Zild forty nine thirty five winners over BNL. Brian Duggar,
congratulations on another sectional championship and good luck next week.
Speaker 16 (33:14):
Hey again, Bob, I appreciate you and all you do
for Indian in.
Speaker 6 (33:17):
High school fully. Thanks. Thanks for the kind words. I
appreciate it. Thank you.
Speaker 1 (33:20):
Coach Griffin. Leonard joins you from Indian High School Sports
dot com. Yorktown twenty eight ten winners over Pendleton Heights. Griffin,
thanks for calling, thanks for being on hold for so long.
Had a good, solid win tonight for this Yorktown team.
That's a good ball club.
Speaker 9 (33:38):
Yeah, hey, coach, thanks for having me. I'll try not
to be too redundant since I know you already had
my good friend Kurt on.
Speaker 6 (33:44):
But yeah, it was more than men.
Speaker 13 (33:47):
We love.
Speaker 6 (33:47):
Look, we love all the perspectives on the games. We
really do.
Speaker 9 (33:52):
Yeah, well, it was certainly a fun one tonight in Pendleton.
It was the Lasader show.
Speaker 14 (33:58):
Nate was zat ter with that.
Speaker 9 (33:59):
Eighty r touchdown to break the deadlock, and he had
two tonight, but you know, his little brother Cooper getting
in on the action, a big interception to really flip
the momentum of the game. It seemed like Pendleton after
a couple of drives where they could have and should
have scored, they were finally driving after a takeaway that
they had gotten the Saan tocar through an interception for
(34:21):
Yorktown and then yeah, Cooper Lasater came through with a
huge heat. He tipped it up, took it and intercepted
it himself, ran it back about fifty yards and Yorktown
had it the rest of the way.
Speaker 7 (34:33):
So good to see.
Speaker 9 (34:34):
Cooper make a play. You know, Nate Lazatder has gotten
a lot of headlines this season, and deservingly so. He's
rushed for I think twenty one touchdowns now up over
five thousand career yards after the game he had tonight.
But it was a family effort tonight.
Speaker 6 (34:48):
Bob, sounds like it's good to be in the Lazader family.
All right. Who's up next for them next week?
Speaker 9 (34:57):
So Ron Chollie, as you heard earlier, knocked on Hitard tonight.
That was a huge one, number one and number two
and four a I think according to John Harrell and
you know so, I think a lot of Yorktown fans
were just kind of assuming that that a meeting with
Shatara is gonna be awaiting them, but instead they'll host
(35:17):
her on Collie next week. Certainly a lot of optimism
that a semi state appearance could be on the way
if they get things done.
Speaker 1 (35:25):
Griffin Leonard Indian High School Sports dot Com. Griffin, thanks
so much for the call. Have a great week.
Speaker 9 (35:32):
Yeah, I appreciate you, Bob. Talk to you next week.
Speaker 6 (35:34):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
When we come back, we'll talk with Matt Florin from
LV one LVH one talking about Leville and West Central.

Sectional action.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Tonight, Westfield beat Carmel twenty three to twenty in overtime
with me.
Speaker 6 (38:10):
Westfield's head coach, Josh Miracle coach.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
I greatly appreciate the call because you've had a thrilling
night and I appreciate you taking time and congratulations on
the big win tonight.
Speaker 18 (38:21):
Thank you appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (38:24):
Well, you knew going in how this game would be.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
You'd kind of without being there myself obviously, if you
had told me that it was an overtime matchup and
settled by a it was a one score game. I
would not have been surprised, I think people, I'm assuming
you and your guys all anticipated this type of game tonight.
Speaker 6 (38:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 18 (38:45):
I think I'm just really proud of our guys and
the resolve. I mean, obviously Week two you know, didn't
go according to play there and felt like we you know,
kind of got embarrassed and just showed a lot of
resolve to improve throughout the year. And you know, our staff,
you know, we put our kids, I think, in a
good position to be successful, and then the kids just
they trusted and they went out there and executed, and
(39:06):
you know, just really excited for our staff and you know,
just thankful for them.
Speaker 1 (39:12):
I'm sure after the ball game, after that first game,
a lot of you have you have time to look
at your kids and say, look, we're going to get
a chance to play them again. Uh you know that,
you know how the football gods are going to be
when it comes time for the tournament, we'll have a
chance to play again.
Speaker 14 (39:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 18 (39:30):
I think our guys, you know, understood if that was
a potential match up, you try not just look too
far ahead, just take it right. So you can you know,
obviously improve and put yourself in position when it matters.
So I think our guys did a great kind of
balancing that. And you know, obviously, you know, sometimes you
lose and you get a chance to learn from it,
and I think obviously our players responded the right way.
Speaker 1 (39:53):
All right, So tell me how you did this. I mean,
it's a one score ball game. I'm assuming it's close
all night long.
Speaker 18 (40:00):
Yeah, I think we got off to, you know, a
pretty good start, which was maybe counter to how things
went the last time around. So that was a credit
you know, our defense getting a couple of stops there,
and you know, it kind of went back and forth.
Before the half, we had a big time. I mean
I think it was like right around a forty nine
yard field goal from Nick Beam, and you know, I
thought that was huge to to just be able to
(40:21):
get points on the board before the half, and then
you know they came charging back. And credit to the
coach right and his staff and players. I mean, he's
obviously putting together a great, you know program there. So
when it goes to overtime with something we you know,
practiced multiple times, and you know, obviously the Lord was
good to us probably there to be able to win
the toss and get on defense first, and you know,
(40:43):
Bryan Sinky or d C did a good job of
holding them to a field goal. You know, our kids
executed there, and then you know we went for two
there on the four down, and you know, Coach Slicker
and the offensive staff and the players, you know, found
a way to get it down on that call.
Speaker 6 (40:59):
All right, coach, who's up next for you? Next weekend?
Speaker 18 (41:03):
We got Fisher, so obviously another great HTC team and
absolutely doesn't get any easier for.
Speaker 6 (41:09):
Us, doesn't. It really doesn't.
Speaker 1 (41:12):
Tonight Westfield over Carmel in overtime, twenty three to twenty
Josh Miracle, congratulations.
Speaker 6 (41:18):
Good luck next week.
Speaker 18 (41:20):
Thank you appreciate it.
Speaker 6 (41:22):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
South putting them over Riverton Park tonight twenty nine to
twenty one, with me a very happy South putting the
head coach Chuck Sorland, coach, congratulations on this sectional championship tonight, No,
thank you.
Speaker 17 (41:35):
I mean we was down twenty one to seven going
into the second half, and you know, our defensive staff
made some good adjustments, our players took the adjustments and
we shut them out the second half and offensively we
started to you know, move the ball and not get
penalties and shoot ourselves in the foot. And you know,
we got in overtime and we just you know, we
(41:55):
scored went for two and I got to stop. We
stopped them, and you know South beats them, you know
at River and Park.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
It wasn't easy.
Speaker 17 (42:03):
They were very good football team.
Speaker 7 (42:05):
You know, it took everything we had to beat them.
Speaker 6 (42:09):
All right, coach, I need you to hang on through
this short break. Can you do that? Yep?
Speaker 17 (42:13):
Sounds good.
Speaker 6 (42:14):
That'll be great.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
We'll come back talk some more high school football with uh,
We're gonna talk a lot. We have a lot more college,
but we'll talk about Chuck Searrel will stay with us.
We'll come back talk with him and talk with Matt
Flooring from l v H one Broadcasting. This is Indiana's
Sports Talk.
Speaker 6 (42:57):
Walk you back.
Speaker 1 (42:57):
Every work really went for South button tonight and their
sexual matchup.
Speaker 6 (43:03):
With Ruverston Park. They went twenty nine to twenty one.
Speaker 1 (43:05):
After being down deep, coach, was there a point where
your kids you could feel the moment and begin to shift.
Speaker 17 (43:12):
Well, we had a nice halftime talk and then you know,
you know how you talk when you're down. Nice time
talk chewing out and mate, we'd beat We made adjustments though,
you know, I told our coaches we can chew them out,
but then we got to make the adjustments to help us.
Speaker 7 (43:28):
We kicked it off, and we kicked it off, and
you know, we.
Speaker 17 (43:31):
Pinned them inside the one yard line, and our defense
took the adjustments and we held them and force them
to a punt, and you know, got our offense going
and once we got it back to twenty one twenty one,
our offensive line just started dominating the game. And Ty
Bentton had you know, he had his two hundred plus
yards rushing again. And you know, Briar Cook had a
(43:52):
nice drive force or he got about fifty yards rushing.
And you know, once once we got where we were
tied back up and we got another def's to stop
and we were driving actually to win the game. And
we ended up like first and forty three. So and
we we just went ahead and took it in overtime.
There's not learning any person forty three plays overtime and
(44:17):
they took they gave us the ball first, we scored,
I went for two, and you know, and we stopped them,
and you know, we win twenty nine to twenty one
and overtime at their place. It's it's a tough place
to play. If you've ever been to Riverton Park, it's
a very tough place to play.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
South Putnam twenty nine to twenty one winners over Riverton Park.
Chuck Sorrel, thanks to the call. Good luck next week.
Thank you go Eagles, Go Eagles.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
Matt Flory from lv H one with me on the
call of Laville's forty ninety six winder for West Central.
What a great win for Laville tonight, Matt, Matt, are
you with me there?
Speaker 6 (44:59):
We are? Now we got to coach. Sorry, all right,
all right, thanks to the call man. Good win for Laville.
Speaker 7 (45:05):
Yeah, absolutely a good win. Start off right the first
time that we got hands on the ball. Chase Lee
took the opening kickoff that we received in the first
half all the way back to payder and that really
set the tone for the Lancers. Rushing got the job done.
This was a ground and pound classic style game. We
didn't really try and do much through the air this time.
(45:26):
I guess Went Central. We just were able to open
up big holes. And just just a credit to Cole
stafford Our running back. I think he was if I
want to say, a buck twenty in rushing, including one
sixty yard scamper at the end, put the explanation point
on a forty nine to six all. I think just
about every single one of those points scored by rushing
(45:48):
for both West Central and for Laville. Fantastic, good old
fashioned running button ball game.
Speaker 6 (45:55):
Who do they play next week? Man?
Speaker 7 (45:59):
We had to throw to the old who's your Norris
Athletic Conference? We pick up our rivalry against Pioneer. We
get to go down to Royal Center again and see
what the Panthers have been up to this year. We're
looking forward to it. This is going to be a
fantastic ballgame. I know coach Kaiser has been looking at
it as well, because it was twenty twenty three. We
saw them and they haven't gotten anywhere. So we're looking
(46:21):
forward to it.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
Laville forty nine to six winners over West Central. Matt
Floord from LBH one, thanks for calling me.
Speaker 6 (46:30):
Have a great weekend, Matt YouTube coach.
Speaker 7 (46:33):
Thanks for rolling you.
Speaker 6 (46:34):
Thank you very much
