now that we're here in December, it's a lot to
talk about. This is the last month of the year
that part you know, it's a lot to talk about.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
So we're gonna dive right into the background. Who are you?
I know you do an artist, but personally tell them
who are you?
Speaker 3 (01:56):
Well, I.
Speaker 4 (01:58):
Must say, right, entrepreneur from Chicago currently by way of Indiana.
You say, trying to make my way to California and you.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Can travel now you can still travel?
Speaker 4 (02:12):
Yeah, that part? That part.
Speaker 1 (02:14):
Birthday in September.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Behind, September eighteenth, nineteen eighty one.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Don't tell them years on time. We still young.
Speaker 4 (02:21):
Still, I'm very proud. I am very proud of my age.
I love being forty four and I look great.
Speaker 3 (02:29):
Oh wow, definitely look young, and that's crazy. I just
had my birthday in October. So we just got done celebrating.
Speaker 5 (02:36):
Leave.
Speaker 1 (02:37):
Yes, happy belated as well.
Speaker 3 (02:39):
You. So a lot of things been going on in
twenty twenty five. How would you like to break that down?
Speaker 1 (02:46):
Howl?
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Your beginning of your year in twenty twenty five, it.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Was enlightening more morethe less, very very enlightening. Started getting
back in like who I am as a person. You know,
my creativity and it's unlocked some doors. So you know,
(03:14):
did you.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
Take more time personally on the business side, A bit
of a bit of both did you take more time
on the personal side of the business. I have my reasons
a bit of both.
Speaker 4 (03:30):
You know. It's more like I stopped, but not really.
You know, I always have one footing and one foot
out type type deal. Uh. I tried to live the
other life, the domesticated, barried life. I try something, I
(03:53):
tried somethings.
Speaker 3 (03:55):
And the reason why I asked that is because I
was gonna flip and say, what what more? Do you
think you should take more time with your personal business?
Because I feel like we do get caught up in both.
So I'm agreeing with you. But just to really start off,
it's like, hmm, I conestly say this year I did
more business than my personal life, or I did more
(04:15):
business than personal so if you did, if.
Speaker 4 (04:18):
All thought of it like that, then I'd say more business.
I've accomplished more business stuff this year.
Speaker 1 (04:27):
Do you know that?
Speaker 3 (04:28):
You know what that means? Now, you gotta take more
time for your personal life.
Speaker 4 (04:32):
I took too much time for personally, too much time. Yeah,
that was too much time off. I'm back now you ready,
I'm starting life all over again.
Speaker 3 (04:41):
So that's in between your blessings. Always tell if you
in between blessings with things like that. But just the
beginning of your year, how was it?
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Was it like busy? Was it overwhelming?
Speaker 4 (04:53):
Was it I wouldn't say it's overwhelming, but it did
get real busy. It did get real busy because I
am now also co host of the podcast Less People Want,
you know, shout.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Out to Big Mamam shut out Big mom.
Speaker 4 (05:10):
Uh you know. She she brought me onto her show
as a as a co host and stuff.
Speaker 6 (05:15):
You know, I was just producing it, you know, so
you oh you producing and.
Speaker 4 (05:19):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I do it all jack of
all trades, you guys.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
So how you like the co hosting?
Speaker 4 (05:26):
I love it. I love it. It gave me something
new to do that it helped me discover rediscover myself,
you know, and to be kind of kind of bowld
with it at the same time. So I really I
really enjoy being a Less People and and doing that.
And I get to interview other people, so, you know,
(05:50):
and I get to bring like I'm not really the
I'm not the journalist of the of the two of us,
shyen the she does the she does all the journalism stuff.
I'm the life of the party of I'm a people person,
So I know what what questions to ask just because
(06:13):
of conversation and I don't really dig too deep. I
get to know people as as I need to, so
you know that. But that's that's more of her things,
you know. So yeah, it creates a different dynamic.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
So so what's your main thing you do on a
daily with business? Something you know you have to do
every day or mainly?
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Is it that?
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Is it engineering? Is it producing? Is it be making?
Speaker 4 (06:43):
See that that's where everything falls in. Like this central
real because when it comes to how I operate, I'm autistic,
so I'm all over the place, but I'm organized at
the same time. It's it's really weird. But uh, I'm
(07:06):
always singing, I'm always dancing, I'm always filming something, and
I go to media school. Like I'm always busy. Like
from the time I open my eyes at four o'clock
in the.
Speaker 6 (07:18):
Morning the time I go to sleep, haul in the building,
come on talking morning.
Speaker 4 (07:24):
Something like that. So you know, sleep, I take power naps.
Speaker 7 (07:27):
I don't.
Speaker 4 (07:28):
I don't really sleep.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
You get the maps is needed?
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Yeah, you know, Yeah, that's that's my life in a nutshell.
Is I don't I don't get no sleep. All. I
live and breathe the business right now.
Speaker 1 (07:47):
But you have to get your rest.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
Oh, yeah, I rest, I give, I give my sleep.
I recharge, I charge.
Speaker 3 (07:54):
Sometimes you guys just take a couple of days and
weeks recharge. It be so much going on in the world.
I will say the beginning of the year you had
I think that measure at the beginning this year. I've
been seeing you for quite a while because you was
doing enough filming.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
Yeah, I'm still doing that, by the way. Yeah, I
had to wreck cons some stuff. So uh, we're gonna
reshoot a few things and then we're gonna catch everybody
up to where it left off.
Speaker 3 (08:23):
It was very interesting. I'm not gonna lie. He gave
me opportunity to try it out.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
And I'm still gonna bring you back.
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Yeah, my schedule is crazy, but I'm glad you did
that for me because I do need to think outside
the boxes.
Speaker 1 (08:35):
Well, just try it. You can't knock if you try it,
And it's a.
Speaker 4 (08:38):
Lot of fun. Like I tell people, like, if you're
gonna if you're gonna do acting, it's it's just like
when you were little and you were playing with your toys.
It's the same same thing. You just grown. That's it.
You're just an adult now. It's the same thing like
people who collect things.
Speaker 1 (08:59):
And you gotta be really into it.
Speaker 3 (09:02):
Like just that one day experience with you was on
point where everything you you was just I could tell
you've been doing it for a while. You could tell
when somebody been doing something they very comfortable with.
Speaker 4 (09:12):
They cry, yeah, I've always been uh this kind of
like everybody look at me.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
You gotta hold that way because since I'm talking about
since the day I met you always had great energy.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
Your performances is crazy, you see, it's.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
But it's not bad.
Speaker 3 (09:36):
It's still a good thing if you if you the
life of the party, then be the life of the party.
Let the party be the life. You gotta you really
gotta dive into it because like you said to you,
it might be this to others. You might be giving
them that smile that needed the energy for the day.
Speaker 1 (09:51):
Just me being around your energy rub off of me.
I do my best to try you better rubbing off
on people.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
Yes, I'm not. I'm not real the type too. If
I have any enemies, I don't. I don't know of it.
Speaker 3 (10:07):
I don't think nowadays you're gonna have a little everything.
Somebody not gonna like something. It's always that going on,
and I think we deal with that a lot in
the world, to the point where I.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Don't try to avoid it. I just try to put
it where.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
It's managed right, Like, okay, cash me on Tuesday, we
can talk about problems. But until then I do not
accept no problems during.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
The week because I gotta stay focused.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
I gotta make sure my body good, my mind is right,
my emotion is not over the place, my money is tight,
transportation on point, my team is on point, making sure
everything is scheduled, like so much is going on our
day where the last thing on your mind is beef,
drama or problems.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
I promise you, I swear you know.
Speaker 4 (10:52):
I try so hard to just be cool. I tell
everybody all the time, be cool.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
You had challenges before in the business.
Speaker 4 (11:00):
With it, oh, I deal with a lot of stuff.
But at you know, at the end of the day,
everybody expressed theirself how they express theirself. And I'll never
let it get to a point where it's like some
kind of violent thing or something like that. People say
what they say, sticks and stones, you know, it's it's
(11:21):
it's a it's a mature way to handle things. You know,
you can say what you gotta say, but you know,
as long as it don't turn physical.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
But what if people not much, you can't talk to them.
Speaker 4 (11:33):
They you just gotta walk away.
Speaker 1 (11:35):
In this business, I wish it was easy.
Speaker 4 (11:38):
I wish it was that easy too.
Speaker 3 (11:40):
But at the same time, you know, it's like being
at work. Can I walk away from this job because
of one person?
Speaker 4 (11:45):
No, of course not. If you make it, if you're
making good money, yeah, I ain't gonna Well, you know,
it's it's always it's always a solution to the problem.
Speaker 1 (11:58):
I agree with that.
Speaker 3 (11:59):
I will say having problems taught me how to have solutions.
I will say that because I'm not saying I'm perfect either.
I'm still learning as I'm growing. I would tell anybody
that you know a lot of people be so quick
to catch you making a mistake or catch you as
your flaws anything. I'd be like, shoot, thank you for
pointing that out, because nobody else was gonna do that.
(12:20):
But you you know, certain people that's on your team
or friends might not tell you what you really need
to hear. Somebody that don't want the best for you
or don't support you, they gonna tell you everything you think.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
You could think of, just to get that in your ear.
Speaker 3 (12:35):
And I think sometimes you need that push, Yeah, because
if you're not being tested, how you know your value?
How you know your faith? How do you know your strength?
If you just think everything is okay all the time.
Speaker 4 (12:46):
I say this to everybody too, everybody who asks something
about me with this, I have my own worst critic.
I'm a virgo, So I'm never happy with anything.
Speaker 1 (13:00):
One you see ticket town with the ticket time.
Speaker 4 (13:04):
Yeah, you know, it's always that, It's always that. Can
you go back and do it one more time?
Speaker 3 (13:11):
Trump practice make perfect, Practice does make perfect. So dive
into that. Some things you've been going through. January Fierer,
let's go into that, how yo, beginning of your month
with the business, working with people in building.
Speaker 1 (13:22):
Because you are a boss. Now this is your day.
It's not work. This your relaxed day.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
It's never relaxed day.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
We're still working.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
I work. I work when I was sleep. My brain
never stops working ever, ever, ever, ever. You know, I
wake up like, okay, let me get this part. Let
me get that part, because it was on my brain
when I went to sleep.
Speaker 7 (13:49):
You know.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
So you see, I'll take notes. I have to.
Speaker 3 (13:52):
I have I keep a book bag and that keeps
notebooks and some pencils and pins the pencils for the math.
Speaker 4 (13:58):
I used to I used to do that, like when
I was younger. I'd be driving, I have to have
notebooks in the car because I get a song or
something in my head. I have to pull over to
the side of the roads with my housards on. I
have to sit there. Police pull up, you have me,
What are you doing well the car? I'm like, no,
(14:20):
I need to get this out of my head.
Speaker 6 (14:22):
I'm a songwriter, really get you, really get you don
and if it's if it's on my brain while I'm driving,
it's really just going to keep bothering me.
Speaker 4 (14:32):
So I gotta get it out. I got to get
it out. But now I got a new method, you know.
So when I'm driving, I listen to the beats and
I'm hearing a song or something like that. I got
some lyrics in my head. I got my phone, like,
it's just right to memo pad real quick, and then
I'll circle back to it when I get home.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
I come right back to it. And I noticed you
just spent the block on the show. You were just
here with this and that.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Yeah, I read then it was it was a whole
different thing. You know. We didn't switch it up, you know,
but now now me.
Speaker 1 (15:11):
So so you can you be switching up?
Speaker 4 (15:14):
Talk about that?
Speaker 3 (15:17):
So you're okay, No, that's interesting because I read on't
that's the thing. I do this over there, but you
over here that can really let people know how it
works basically.
Speaker 4 (15:26):
Yeah, So that's I do a lot of stuff, I see.
Like I said, I dance, we do voiceover stuff, I
do regular act and the list goes on and on
and on. I produced shows, I produce movies, all kinds
of stuff. It's a process for me, but I enjoy it.
(15:52):
It's my passion.
Speaker 1 (15:54):
Yes, And you were just on my Chicago radio.
Speaker 4 (15:57):
What you been doing always there?
Speaker 1 (16:00):
So what's going on?
Speaker 4 (16:02):
Well? See, because I'm allowed money, allowed money music group artists,
you know, so shout out, shout out to take a style,
you know what I'm saying, and the whole team allowed money. Uh,
I'm friends with everybody there, you know, I mean a mismeanor.
Shout out to her too and her crew and you
(16:24):
know everybody at Boss talking, you know, and Shandale and everybody,
just everybody. Everybody is a lot.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
Of people out there, definitely definitely bibs.
Speaker 4 (16:38):
It's it's a lot of people, you know. And and
that all all of this really started, you know, with
with that me getting out here and you know, meeting
all these people from me doing Let's be blunt O,
me being a part of that really open the doors
(16:58):
for something different. And then it made me circle back
and say, okay, well maybe I think it's kind of
pop the lid back off and started saying doing the
Michael Jackson doing the Prince thing. So I started getting
back into that and I started landing impersonator gigs and
(17:19):
stuff like that. So I do this tribute show with
Lebo's Entertainment. It's at the New Celebrity Lounge every year
every Wednesday. Everyone's a different lineup, you know, so we
we do that there every Wednesday. And that kicked everything
(17:40):
off with that, and it was like, okay, well I
want to do it more again and again and again
and again because I got used to doing that for
a while, touring and you know, going places. But then
I settled down, I got married, and I started having kids,
you know, doing the fan only thing, and then that
(18:01):
kind of went left. So you know what I'm saying.
It left me in a spot where it was like,
what do I do now?
Speaker 1 (18:09):
Take a break?
Speaker 4 (18:10):
So I took a break. I went through a very
very very bad depression. It was, it was terrible. I
had this really mental shutdown. Relate to that, all of
this stuff that I'm doing now is it's like me
pulling myself your healing process, you know. So I feel
(18:31):
like I'm finally in a place where I can be
Tony again. You know. So I'm very proud of the
accomplishments that I've you know, accomplished doing this, getting getting
back to it. You know, Uh, I got a lot
(18:54):
of great people around me, you know, uh Bill Ray, Valentine,
mister woh Boy, Julian t Allen, the one, you know,
all of these people, you know, Sean tay Rene Smith.
You know, I know all of these people. These are
my friends. And you know, when I was going through
(19:14):
my little issues, you know, they were there for me.
They helped me get out of the house and you know,
do projects here and there. I started learning stuff and
then I met Chyenne and you know, now I'm doing
this and all of that stuff. You know, and it's
all going great. It's all like opening up the way
(19:39):
it should be. My life seems to be on the
path that it needs to go on. So I'm thankful,
you know, to the most high for bringing me back
to my life because I lost myself for a while,
you know, and now I'm really starting to figure it
(20:00):
it out.
Speaker 1 (20:01):
And I'm proud of you just for acknowledging you.
Speaker 3 (20:04):
And sometimes we don't do that, you know, I would
definitely relate to that because we could be on our
high horse with just life itself, things going good. Like
you said, things was just perfect, and then something happens
where I feel like you've being a deep in for
a while, because I did feel like for a while
I was at a dead end. Yeah, you know, not
(20:26):
because of me, because of things I was around, the
people I was around a lot of people had influence
of decision making. But one thing I realized, I always
had an opportunity. That's one thing you can't take from nobody,
no matter if they going through it or not, no
matter if you're depressed, set or whatever. If an opportunity
(20:47):
present itself, it's up to you to take it. And
I just kept feeling like Okay, I'm at the dead
end already, you know, and I lost everything this year
because twenty twenty five gave me so much, but I
had to lose so much to get it, if you
know what I mean. Sacrifice, dedication, hanging on to friendships, relationships,
(21:08):
but what if that's not your season when you're trying
to grow your business.
Speaker 4 (21:12):
So a lot of.
Speaker 3 (21:13):
Things was in jeopardy, at risk, you know, a liability,
you know, you could go broke or make money off things.
Things is really a challenge. So I would say, one
on one, thank you for being open about that. Because
I'm human, I'm a woman. So I was experiencing this
all year, like how can I really reintroduce myself as Shade?
(21:35):
But instead I say, you know what, I'm gonna be
myself on my bad and good days, even one thing.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
Because I was trying to figure it.
Speaker 3 (21:44):
I was going crazy, like, you know, how can I
tell anybody I'm having a bad day when everybody is
so happy for being proud of me. But that moment,
I wasn't proud and happy of myself. But it took
them people to remind me it's okay, Shade, you just
had a bad day.
Speaker 1 (22:01):
You're overthinking yourself. You're overthinking.
Speaker 3 (22:05):
But it took them, It took prayers, it took love,
it took you know, people really giving you that opportunity
to be yourself as well.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Because some people close the door.
Speaker 3 (22:14):
You could be looking for love, you could be looking
for money, whatever you're looking for. Somebody can always close
the door on you. I respect that, expect it. That's
what I do. I expect the first. But if you
open the door and let me be myself, the hey,
I'm gonna feel like I'm at home exactly.
Speaker 4 (22:30):
You know, you can be comfortable.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Come on something like that. You can't take from people, right,
you know, you could give me all the money. You won't,
but some people could treat you different, even with money.
Don't let it fool you.
Speaker 4 (22:44):
I tell people all the time. Money is it's a
figment of everybody's imagination. We just use it because it
gives us something to do. We are the people. Without us,
it doesn't work. So thank you know, we send there,
we're buying food and stuff like that. We can actually
(23:06):
give back to each other as you know, as a community,
as a race in itself, you know, we're so against
each other. We were bordered. We have borders and stuff
like that. Like a lot of chaos that's in this
world is manufactured, you know. So I try not to
(23:31):
get into the politics side of stuff. But at the
same time, it's certain things that I have to address
because me being a singer, I have to project this
message to people, you know, have to be able to
talk about it, give them my point of view on things.
(23:51):
And I don't want people to think that just because
I don't talk about it that much that I don't care.
You know. It's like, you know, I try to I
try to drop my little two on that a little bit.
Speaker 1 (24:05):
But you try not to make it the fun.
Speaker 4 (24:07):
But I try to make it the focus because.
Speaker 3 (24:09):
It takeaway from the stuff you're doing over here, right,
because we always average all that stress.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
It's stressed to people around you.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Your stress becomes they stressed, right, or your pro becomes
somebody else problems, or a lot of that be going on.
So I will tell you personally myself, I appreciate you
for being yourself. That's why I said this month, I
was gonna make sure all my special guests get a
gift personally, little goodie bag.
Speaker 4 (24:38):
I want to look in it, but I don't want
to be all online talk about.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
It's a secret bag, it's a secret bad so you
definitely I will say it's a Christmas heading that I
will say, see everybody deafly will have to Christmas heading.
It's one size fit all. It's a nice size. You
gotta get the Kenny Kane just.
Speaker 4 (25:00):
Because I'm gonna tell those up though, you hear me.
My sweet tooth is ridiculous.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
Only because it's hard times right now and I feel
like it could be the smallest thing you could give
back and really and do something with it. So my
goal will connect the dots is let people know we
are connected big and small, and one thing go a
long way. So I just wanted to take my time
and say I wanted to see if you alive, make
(25:26):
him smile, make him feel appreciated. So that's why I'm
gonna ask questions too. Because the holidays, you know, everybody
had their little shocks.
Speaker 1 (25:33):
And like that.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
So that's what made me really get into it, Like
what were people like for Christmas?
Speaker 1 (25:38):
What would they like to do?
Speaker 4 (25:39):
Yeah? You know what? Up? Everybody on Facebook? I see
y'all on Facebook.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
They tapping in, they.
Speaker 4 (25:46):
Tapping in, seeing what's up and everything? You know, I'm
enjoying myself, y'all, this little run we got going on here.
I'd have been on a lot of shows for the
last two weeks.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
As you should. You've definitely been a.
Speaker 4 (26:02):
Song it is. I think it's the magic of this song.
It's a really good song.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
That's what they gonna keep hearing it because it's definitely rotation. Now,
you guys, and what you say, pull up, pull up?
And you said December twelfth.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
All platforms, but you can pre order it days pre
order he got somedays.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
Would you say R and B vibe R and B vibes.
Speaker 4 (26:30):
I'm uh. I like to pride myself now as the
self proclaimed.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
Kik a vibe, and I've been vibing to the music little.
I have to check him out when I tell you
every song he played gives you dancing R and B
about even jazzing a little bit.
Speaker 1 (26:48):
They give me an all age vibe.
Speaker 4 (26:50):
Oh yeah, it's going down.
Speaker 1 (26:51):
This is our class. About that news.
Speaker 4 (26:53):
That's the name of the album out. It's called I
Am Tony, So you get to know everything about me
and one good compact ced I like that. Wait, I'm old.
Wait do people use these. Look, kep that y'all streaming Now,
(27:15):
y'all y'all stream But yeah, I'm from the CD era, you.
Speaker 3 (27:19):
Know, keep the CDs coming, Keep the old fashion days.
Speaker 1 (27:23):
We were just talking about that.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
You know, we used to leave We used to leave voicemails,
and we used to do things with a house phone.
Things you don't see no more. What happens to the
house phones. Everybody got a cell phone. Now my grandma
got a phone. You know, we got to show how
to use it. Everybody just got all updated things.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
Nothing is all myself.
Speaker 3 (27:41):
I forget that headphones cord.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
Now everything wireless.
Speaker 3 (27:47):
Yeah, the old fashion days, the plastic on the furniture.
Speaker 1 (27:51):
You can't forget.
Speaker 4 (27:51):
Nothing in the living room. And if you do go
in there, you sit on it, you fall asleep, you
be stuck to it.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Rush your name on the cup, look back in. They
didn't play with us back in the day. Growing up,
they had They definitely put their foot on our next
you hear me, They was not playing nowadays.
Speaker 4 (28:08):
I feel like.
Speaker 3 (28:11):
I missed them time. I still have my my I
lost my great grandmother. But I will say they was
big on family. They was really big on that because
if you ain't got nobody else.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
You stuck with your family.
Speaker 4 (28:23):
Oh, I got family. Can get rid of stuck.
Speaker 3 (28:26):
You can't get rid of the family. So definitely take
care of your family, guys. Treat them better. You know,
we all got our own issues with family. But learn
each other more. Get to learn each other more. Take
your time, spend more time with family. I will say,
I feel like we do a lot of things for
our jobs, strangers and other people before our own. Absolutely,
(28:46):
and I'm taking responsibility of Ashley taking each day towards
something that can really matter for home as well, like
bring it home, you know, So take your time with things.
You also been doing this cast and Call with the
R and B singers. I was peeping at a while
back with the Cast and Call. You're still looking for
singers and dance?
Speaker 4 (29:09):
Yeah? Actually, who I'm trying to I'm trying to put
this this new addition thing together because you know, new
addition coming here in February, uh, with boyster Man and
Tony Braxton.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
So that's gonna be at the That's.
Speaker 4 (29:25):
Gonna be at the I think the United Center. But
I'm definitely going. You know, but I got this, I
got this thing about doing a tribute to them, a
really live tribute to the New Edition, because I grew
up loving New Edition like they was like the second
(29:47):
coming of the Jackson five for me, so you know,
and then after that it was new kids on the block,
and you know in Sing and the Bassary Boys, you know,
then you have the R and B groups like Drew
Hill and you know, like you know, I'm from that
town where music was music was music.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
It's to the point now where I play my R
and B.
Speaker 3 (30:11):
I play it by myself, so you can't tell me
turn it off or turn it down. Because CERN's songs
can be emotional. CIRN songs can't be said. But guess
what music it has some type of it has ss
or emotions. For one, if I'm said, I have something
I could play for if I'm happy, I could play
a song for that too.
Speaker 4 (30:32):
Here, a song has to tell a story. Songs don't
tell stories anymore, I agree, you know. So there's no
there's no imagination to anything anymore. It's like, you know,
remember when it okay like old school R and B wamen,
Remember the remember the the presentation, you know, y'all, Remember
(30:56):
the slip y'all, Remember the ladies do y'all remember the
slip you know, presentation. I want to I want to
get too vogel on radio and stuff and on the podcast,
on the show and stuff. But you know they used
to have it well, but now it's just like the.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
Place I will say, I will. I'm gonna touch that part.
It's not what you do.
Speaker 4 (31:21):
It's how you how you do it to the ladies.
Speaker 3 (31:24):
I'm a woman myself, I would just say I will costume.
I can't well with y'all. Will like it's sexy, no doubt,
no doubt for some stuff it's meant for ladies.
Speaker 4 (31:35):
I am a married pro woman. I love y'all.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
No, I just it's just really opinion.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
But sometimes it's it's a bit too much. I wake
up for breakfast, I'll be trying to cook. It's just
like booty, I'm like, come on, man, it's too early
for this. I just woke up at four o'clock in
the morning.
Speaker 3 (31:53):
And the only reason why I say calm it down
is because the young generation is really watching everything we
are doing, and they gonna think this stuff they think
is really okay.
Speaker 4 (32:03):
Remember the kids out of the Future.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
Yeah, And I do feel like we could we could
kind of have certain boundaries when it comes to everything.
Don't need to be seen, you know. I will say
that back in the day, things was private. You couldn't
talk about it or you cannot show it exactly. I
will agree with that. I wish times was different. Everybody
needs to know your business, everybody needs to know where
you at and which.
Speaker 4 (32:25):
Families it was. It was a little different.
Speaker 1 (32:30):
Vibe, and I'm still trying to make that happen to
this day. I try to.
Speaker 3 (32:36):
You gotta live, No, you just have to honestly live.
Some people don't want to live. They just want a
fast life for some reason. They want everything just slow down,
slow down. You gotta slow down.
Speaker 4 (32:48):
Absolutely.
Speaker 1 (32:50):
So we're gonna take a quick break.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
But before we do it, I will tell people make
sure you guys are following adding the pace interleetal radio
dot com. Watch us on YouTube for asces of the
videos happen with the podcast. A lot of things be
going on where you could feed your brain. And then
before another thing I noticed too. We're gonna dive into
(33:14):
a lot of things.
Speaker 8 (33:14):
You got to thank.
Speaker 5 (33:33):
Me.
Speaker 8 (33:33):
I'm so high I can touch this guy. I think
your beauty has me. Captain whereverywhere, take my welles.
Speaker 4 (33:48):

Speaker 4 (34:24):

Speaker 7 (35:14):

Speaker 4 (35:15):
I trust you. Sound taking cant ship side some heavy
peeping my age. I can discuss.
Speaker 5 (35:29):
Can I can't get time.
Speaker 8 (35:33):
Trouble.
Speaker 7 (35:34):
I'm gonna give you something you ain't usual. You ain't
got a sex. We could just lay down and watching.
But I'm just trying to put you on the good move.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
I'm a rub feet.
Speaker 7 (35:41):
That's some bass like.
Speaker 4 (35:42):
I shot up there smiling your stands. You've got a girl, baby.
Let me come through and let's kick it like who's
son the girl? I'm bout the girl they talking about
to im about it? Back without your girl, plaything.
Speaker 7 (35:52):
That's why you're running out. I can't even like a
about the plasmama running girl. You staying on my man,
I can't even last where you got the girl. I'm
gonna trust this baby with hard.
Speaker 4 (36:00):
You got a girl, probably my little girl.
Speaker 7 (36:03):
I got you if you've got me your cool and
give up on D and it's me and you.
Speaker 4 (36:09):
Yeah, I tell you, yeah, yeah, we ain't got a rust,
but that you won't you we can take it. Let
me pull it up. I try to slide chang you
can I get your sign? Pull up? So deep it
mine my angel can't disgust?
Speaker 7 (36:30):
Can I get that time? Pulling up?
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Girl, I'm trying to slide you.
Speaker 8 (36:40):
Yes, so real?
Speaker 1 (36:41):
You can see your groom definitely said the song. Definitely
sounding with the R and B vis.
Speaker 4 (36:49):
I'm loving it.
Speaker 3 (36:50):
Every song you've been playing on it has been like
a many concept. Even a right here has been nothing
butter vibe.
Speaker 4 (36:57):
I'm lat y'all know. I'm working on something that's it's
gonna be a masterpiece. I ain't gonna release it unless
it's all perfect. I am crazy about this right now,
like the way I want this album to be. It's
it's my it's my thriller album.
Speaker 1 (37:14):
He missed to you her.
Speaker 4 (37:15):
We said album, it's my it's my version of thriller.
You know that that process.
Speaker 3 (37:22):
So see, we just came back from breaking. We also
have another special game. Yeah, another special guest.
Speaker 7 (37:29):
We got Big Mom.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
What's going on.
Speaker 1 (37:34):
We just said we're connecting the dots for real, talked
about me and I appear. Let the new listeners know
who you are.
Speaker 8 (37:47):
Yo, yo, it's the b I g Big Mama. Let's
good with y'all.
Speaker 5 (37:50):
I am the CEO and one I guess one of
the hosts of Let's Be Blunt the podcast.
Speaker 4 (37:56):
What you mean you guess you are the host of
Less Blunt?
Speaker 8 (38:01):
You the host show.
Speaker 4 (38:02):
I'm the co host that's still hosting. You are the host.
Speaker 8 (38:06):
I am the host.
Speaker 5 (38:06):
Yeah, I am the CEO and the host of Let's
Blunt the podcast, only international cannabis podcast in the shy.
Speaker 1 (38:14):
Come on now, you said she could go, yeah, no
cuss words.
Speaker 4 (38:19):
We gotta let we gotta let Big Mama know because
she will let it right.
Speaker 1 (38:23):
Yeah, that from this and that, yes about that's a
good thing. That's a good thing.
Speaker 4 (38:30):
This is we We are a commercial station right now,
low cuss words.
Speaker 3 (38:37):
So we're gonna dive right into the biz, like you said,
everything that's been going on at the beginning, and I'll
be working in our middle towards I.
Speaker 4 (38:44):
In Yeah, because right now we're at pull up. So
what happened was we said, what happened one situation? Like
I said, I'm always in my car driving somewhere and
I'll be listening to my beats and something will pop
right in my head. It just so happened that I
(39:06):
was in the driveway this time, so I didn't have
to pull over or anything like that. Pull up right, Well,
I did pull up because I was in my driveway.
I pull it up in the driveway.
Speaker 1 (39:18):
So you write a lot?
Speaker 4 (39:19):
D I create a lot? I wouldn't say I wrote
write a lot. I create a lot. I like that
because I used to sit back and say, okay, well
I want to write a song, but then I'd be like,
what am I going to write about? I stopped doing that.
It just let my body be open. It's like an
(39:41):
open canvas. So if I hear something that I'm really
vibing with, like I said, I'm the king of vibes
right now, So if the music catches me in a
way where it makes me actually think I'm gonna let
that just happen. It's equivalent to being a rapper when
(40:03):
they free style right right.
Speaker 1 (40:06):
The be is always the beat.
Speaker 4 (40:08):
So I will create a chorus first and then I'll
build everything else around that. Yeah, you know, the whole
central story.
Speaker 1 (40:19):
Is really for me, my chorus and do you have
do you use the do you use the bee first
or you write first?
Speaker 4 (40:26):
I listened to the beat. I let the beat over
the music, let the music talk to me about what
it's the song and speaks that might be my proxy.
Speaker 3 (40:41):
That's that's a good point, is why as again, because
I had to make sure I hear it clearly. See
I don't listen to no B when I write.
Speaker 4 (40:48):
See some some people that work an autistic person, and
I have to I need sound.
Speaker 5 (40:58):
That's interesting though, that's very I'll put the be over
and over and over again because I'm a natural I'm
a poet writer, so I have to write it out.
But I'm learning how to take poetry and actually put
it to a beat that makes it make sense, you know,
because poetry and writing raps are not the same thing.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
To a point, that's the way I stumble at sometimes
is because we all know I do Michael Jackson. We
all know Michael the blueprint to everything about me?
Speaker 1 (41:31):
How can they book how can they book them?
Speaker 4 (41:33):
Y'all, y'all hit that lake Tree slash. I am Tony TJ.
And y'all will find everything pretty much that's going.
Speaker 5 (41:40):
On with that.
Speaker 4 (41:41):
You know, how to book me, websites, all that stuff.
It's all listed right there in one good list.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
I'm definitely ye. We celebrate him also in January. He
is part of the Connect the Dots movement.
Speaker 4 (41:56):
So absolutely any era what y'all, y'all gonna see me
and I'm getting away in a few weeks as.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
Two weeks now, it's definitely today is the third.
Speaker 4 (42:12):
Today in two weeks, two weeks tops, we'll.
Speaker 8 (42:16):
Have shade before.
Speaker 1 (42:18):
Yes, and I haven't been an interview in a minute,
so y'all thank you for that.
Speaker 4 (42:23):
Yeah, take up, We're gonna have a ball.
Speaker 8 (42:26):
Love your good basket and everything else.
Speaker 1 (42:29):
You i'mna pull over a piecea or something like what
I want to eat. Let's hang out.
Speaker 3 (42:32):
You know I'm big on snacks. I'm big on oh yeah,
hanging No, I'm good.
Speaker 4 (42:40):
It's a whole different show. Y'all show.
Speaker 1 (42:43):
I definitely got to tune in with other podcasts in
the show.
Speaker 3 (42:46):
It's a it's a different world out there, so I
definite want to tap in to learn some point. It's
like tonight, every every every song I made, I heard
the beat and I just made the song. But when
you was telling me, I do need to take my
time on beats.
Speaker 4 (43:00):
Yeah, just just like back listen to it and just
kind of like I said, just opening yourself up to
be free to the music.
Speaker 5 (43:11):
Like.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
Exactly, because sometimes you're here change it. So marketing, how
do you market yourself?
Speaker 4 (43:23):
Well, see, for this right now, I'm just I'm an artist.
I get to just express create. All the rest of
the work for right now is in the hands of
Steven Ragsdale. I am on loud Money Music Group as
(43:44):
an artist. Uh, you know, he know all the detailed details.
I don't know how to say it. Like he said,
all the distribution stuff and all that. I don't know
how to.
Speaker 3 (43:57):
You know.
Speaker 4 (43:58):
But you know, y'all, y'all hear him up. He'll tell
you all all the details on that part, you know.
But I'm still really learning. He's he's like my mentor,
so you know, I'm learning this side of the business,
like deep, this this deep side of the business. I'm
learning that from my big brother, you know. And uh,
(44:22):
you know that's that's really uh to be announced kind
of thing because I'm still really learning that, you know,
and what we learned from him, we take that and
we apply it at Ester King, you know, and we
(44:43):
use that on our artists. That's you know, on the
label and you know, things like that. So you know,
it's it's all.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
And I appreciate that, you know.
Speaker 3 (44:55):
Like I told you before, i'm his personal assistant. I'm
still learning the ropes and the it's so much going
on with the team. It's a lot of us, and
it's a lot of things. There's a lot of places,
a lot of people. You do need a team, absolutely,
so I kept the team in rotation. That's what I said,
heavy hitters. Most of the people that's been coming has
been part of a loud money or connected or part
(45:16):
of just just to highlight some things that's going on
over there as well. Like you said, we could be
neighbors and still be on the same block. You can
live next door to your auntie. I'm trying to tell
you your that's basically what's going on, Like basically.
Speaker 4 (45:32):
Get I'm gonna get that kind of lifestyle where I
just own two or three blocks and I'm gonna put
my family on all them blocks.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
That's exactly what's going on.
Speaker 4 (45:42):
I probably can't put my entire family, it's a lot
of us, but I will say just related pretty much
all the Chicago. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
No, you've been around deafely doing your You're dancing, you're singing,
your movies, your filming, you you do a lot of stuff.
Speaker 1 (46:00):
You do a lot of stuff.
Speaker 4 (46:02):
I'm letting y'all know. I'm like a sponge. I just
but even when you think I'm not paying attention, you.
Speaker 1 (46:11):
Always got to pay attention.
Speaker 4 (46:13):
I can be on the whole the other side of
the room and you think the furthest thing from me,
I am not paying attention to. I'm looking right at
it as you should, as you should, you know. So
because I have to, I have to be aware of
all my surroundings, because like I said, I learned a
lot of stuff, and with my autism, it picks up
(46:38):
on a lot of frequencies, you know. So I could
be doing one thing one minute and there's something else
that catch my.
Speaker 8 (46:45):
Attention and then it's just like, yeah, I agree with that.
Speaker 5 (46:49):
When he has a project or an idea in his head,
it stuck, he has to execute it.
Speaker 4 (46:54):
At that moment.
Speaker 5 (46:55):
I'll be like, hold on, now, hold on, we got
three other projects this week. We can't add the going
to the projects this week. You gotta write it down
and we'll come back to it. Yeah, we'll come back
to it.
Speaker 4 (47:06):
Because if I stopped right then and there, it's just
gonna power up. I said, my brain gonna have an overload. Yeah,
and then it's gonna be like, no, true, I don't
like to clean up, man, y'all.
Speaker 1 (47:21):
No, I agree with that.
Speaker 4 (47:23):
I don't like to clean up.
Speaker 3 (47:24):
And I will say, it's one thing recently you had
a challenge with it, I pete. A lot of people
doing definitely a lot of scamming. Definitely a lot of scamming,
a lot of taking advantage of people in they in
the hard work.
Speaker 1 (47:37):
That was that was an adventure.
Speaker 4 (47:40):
That was very much an adventure.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
Bringing awareness to people. Right, let's learned other hard let's learned.
Speaker 4 (47:47):
And Meccans already told me he was like, I don't
know why you did that. Anyway, that's my job.
Speaker 8 (47:52):
Verified accounts.
Speaker 5 (47:53):
You have to be careful off you have to make
because make a page, you feel me you have to
be very very car so where you put your money in,
where you put your trust.
Speaker 3 (48:03):
And create emails ID because even with taxes or other things,
or the PPP or the two K loan people looking
for they were just scamming off that because people thought
it was coming out, they giving out information to get.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
It soon or just it's a lot of scamming going on.
Speaker 3 (48:21):
So I will tell everybody just be safe, even on
craig list, any list, anybody marketing place. Just be careful
with any site or anything that's especially with the social
Security number, you know. Just bring awareness to stuff like
that because I appreciate that because we deal with a
lot of money, and I'm not gonna lie to you.
Speaker 1 (48:41):
A lot of things.
Speaker 3 (48:42):
Like one person was trying to get cash shop or
up and they had cash and it was late at
night and I'm in a store and I'm like, oh,
what's the cash. Yeah, my phone ain't working. My phone
ain't working. Not what the money ain't real? Now I
didnet took the money, you know, and the money sent.
Speaker 4 (48:57):
It to me.
Speaker 3 (48:58):
I just said, I don't have the patience of the
time to get scammed finesse. People already done that. The
finesse is finesse. That's played out. You can't finesse me
no more. If you took it, I gave it, trust me,
I'm gonna go to work and make that back.
Speaker 4 (49:11):
You hear me.
Speaker 3 (49:12):
So anybody that's scamming the finessing, go to work, Go
to work. Stop taking from people that's working hard. Because
you don't know what people have to go through every
day to make sure they provide for their home and
they families, to make sure their bills get paid.
Speaker 1 (49:25):
That's why it's not good to do it.
Speaker 3 (49:27):
And I'm being honest with you, Like I'm around people
every day all day, and sometimes it humbles you. Because
I could complain about a meal I had, somebody wishing
they had my left throws on my trash. That's when
it humbles me. Oh wait, lord, I didn't meet it
like that. At meeting it taste that bad. It's just
I just certain things you just don't like. But I
don't mean throw it away, you know. So that's why
(49:49):
like giving back. So the things I don't eat, like
at the cabinet, I go fas stuff I don't eat.
Put in a whole bunch of grocery bags and say hey,
you you need some stuff, and really go give it
to somebody that's gonna use it.
Speaker 1 (50:01):
