I recently started a new songwriting project/band with my friend Joshua Irwin (Mossy Stones) and we just put out our first 10-song album, Luzita (NOW STREAMING EVERYWHERE). In this episode we dove DEEP into the writing and recording of the album during my recent week-long visit to where he lives in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. The original plan was to record an EP of hymns Josh and his son Grady had been performing, but then we played around with writing a song, which turned into 2 songs, then 6, then 8, then 10. You know how it goes. If you've ever wanted to hear about how a song was written and then listen to the writers as they tediously continue talking about the same song for an additional 20 minutes beyond that, THIS IS FOR YOU. Thanks for listening (and clearing your schedule)! Jeff Grant's Evolving Podcast is available on SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher & Google Play Music. Thanks for listening!
