Speaker 1 (00:07):
Gentlemen, start your engines. You're talking about mister Garbokoff teared down.
This one the only thing we have to bear. Spare it.
So I I'm not a crunk. If you like your
healthcare plan, you'll be able to keep your healthcare plans.
(00:31):
Ye sick, f R three wye fire. You're listening to
Jim Paris Live, your source for the latest news on money, politics, prophecy,
and preparedness, and now your host, the editor in chief
(00:53):
of Christian money dot com and the author of more
than thirty books. Jim Paris.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
All right, hello, rebut welcome to the broadcast. Jim Paris here,
and I'm telling you, I'm just in this phase right
now of my life that so many good things are happening.
They're changes. But I think I have reached this kind
of new understanding of life, which is that change can
(01:19):
actually be really great if you look at it with
optimism and gratitude. And yeah, I'm going through a lot
of changes right now, but a lot of exciting doors
are opening up at the same time. So I've been
living in Orlando for two months now, and Orlando is
much different than living over by the Beach. I still
(01:40):
go back to Palm Coast Saint Augustine, Daytona beach area,
usually one day a week, sometimes two days a week
because I have clients there in my real estate and
mortgage practice. But I'm really enjoying it over here in Orlando.
And honestly, I'm starting to figure out a little bit
about myself now, but I'm sixty years old that I
(02:02):
really am more of a big city person. And as
much as I do love that beach bum kind of lifestyle,
being able to go look at the ocean every day,
I love that, Don't get me wrong. That is just fantastic.
But I also love, for example, I join the YMCA
here in Orlando, which gives me access to like seventeen
(02:25):
different YMCAs that are all within driving distance, and they
have indoor pools and outdoor pools and steam rooms and
sana and all these great classes and amenities. This is
stuff that you don't have access to in a small town.
And I mean just other you know, simple things like
I want to find a Chinese all you can eat buffet,
(02:47):
so I put it in my phone and like within
a ten minute drive there's like four of them. And
it's just different. It's different living in a big city,
and also to the entertainment opportunities, the opportun t unities
to you know, see these you know, touring bands, and
I've got some great tickets coming up here this next
(03:08):
month to see some great bands and opportunity to be
a part of music as well. There's a lot of
bands here that I could become a part of, although
I'm sticking with the band that I've been with for
twenty one years, twenty two years in Daytona Beach. But
there's just a lot of opportunities here in the Orlando
(03:28):
area just for entertainment. I've been going to Disney. I
know people hate Disney. I'm ducking because I know some
of you are throwing stuff at your computers right now,
but yeah, I've got an annual ticket for Disney. So
just a lot of different things over here to do,
a lot of things to see, and I'm enjoying it
a great deal. So many of you know about this
(03:52):
side business that I kind of stumbled upon about a
year ago, and then this side business turned into an
online class that I taught, and it's probably one of
the most successful things I have done in a really
long time. And I have to tell you that how
this started out was I was doing this as a
side business because honestly, my real estate and mortgage practice
(04:13):
had slowed down and I was looking for a way
to make side money to replace the money I wasn't
making because of the slowness of the real estate market.
And I ran across this opportunity of taking pictures for
property managers, banks and mortgage companies, and it's kind of
like a quality control thing where they want to just
(04:36):
see what does this property look like? And most of
the time it's exterior pictures, so you don't have to
go in and take pictures on the inside. And it's
this quick, easy money. And now that I'm living in Orlando,
the number of opportunities to do these pictures for banks
(04:57):
and mortgage companies and property managers has just exploded. In fact,
I've got some of the apps on my phone and
they're just constantly going off with jobs that are their
requesting to be done. And you can make anywhere from
twenty to fifty dollars per assignment, and you can do
this totally part time, and it is a great part
(05:18):
time gig, and it's available all over the country. And
what I did was I put up twelve free videos
that anybody can go watch the videos to learn more
about how this works. You don't need a real estate license,
although if you do have one, you could qualify for
even more work. But the basic requirement is just that
(05:40):
you can pass a simple background check and if you
don't have any significant criminal issues in your background, you
can probably get approved to do this and start making
some quick money. And I love the fact that you
get paid the same day or the next morning. So
check it out. It's reelpicks dot us real r EA
(06:00):
l pickspics dot us, reelpicks dot us. So i just
finished my master's degree and I'm really proud of that
because it is like a year and a half program
and I finished it in four months. And a lot
of people have been asking me about this. You know,
(06:21):
what college did you go through? Is it accredited? What's
going on with all this? So the college that I
graduated from is called Western Governor's University, and I first
learned about it from my son, who also got a
master's degree from WGU. And Western Governor's University has this
(06:41):
kind of unique system which I love, which allows people
to go to college part time online and you can
go at your own pace. So I decided when I
enrolled that starting on November one of last year, that
I was going to try to do this as quickly
(07:02):
as possible. So how I did it was I was
getting up every morning about four thirty. I was getting
to my local coffee shop by about five or five thirty,
and I would literally work the first four or five
hours every morning on my master's degree, seven days a week,
(07:23):
even through the holidays, and I ended up graduating. My
last assignment was turned in the last day of February
a fully accredited college and it's online. And I'll be
honest with you, it was tough. It was really tough.
And when I say tough, I mean it was a
(07:45):
great experience. I learned a lot, but there's a lot
of work involved in getting a master's degree. So I
don't want to make this sound like it was some
kind of cakewalk in the park. It wasn't. It is
probably one of the most difficult things that I've done
in my professional career. Just doing this. I mean, I
(08:07):
would compare it to maybe writing one of my more
complex books, like the book I wrote on Bitcoin. I
would maybe compare it to that that project of writing
that entire book to completing the master's degree, because there's
just a lot of a lot of writing, a lot
of things you have to do, tests you have to pass,
and it's it's quite a challenge, but it I loved it.
(08:29):
I really love the process. I love Western Governor's University
and what they have set up. And they have bachelor's
degrees and master's degree. So I would, you know, invite
you to check it out if you're somebody that's looking
to further yourself and you don't have to necessarily do
what I did and go crazy and finish in four months.
(08:50):
You could take your time, and it's really designed for
people that are, you know, working full time jobs that
want to do that part time. So yeah, so I
got the master's degree and then the next step here
the plan is to try to get into law school.
And I'm studying for the LSAT, which is a pretty
tough deal and so you've got to kind of adopt
(09:12):
like a whole new way of thinking and reasoning and
logic and all this stuff. And I'm working hard on
studying and I take the LSAT exam, the Law school
admission test. I take that in about three weeks, So
be thinking and praying for me as I prepare for that.
Well sad news in a way, but I guess nobody
(09:33):
lives forever, right. George Foreman, the boxing legend and entrepreneur,
died just the other day at age seventy six. And
I know he was a Christian, which is great, and
he died with a pretty substantial networth. I had read
something in the neighborhood of three hundred million. And he
really became a prolific entrepreneur after his boxing career. He
(09:58):
ended up, you know, with a George Forming grill and
those infomercials and all that kind of thing that he did.
Really smart guy used his fame and his celebrity to
really leverage that and make a lot of money as
an entrepreneur and seem like a genuinely nice guy. George
Foreman dead at the age of seventy six. And in
(10:20):
other news, there seems to be a lot of hope,
a lot of discussion right now for a ceasefire between
Russia and Ukraine. And what they're talking about is a
thirty day ceasefire to begin with, if we could get
both sides to agree to no fighting for thirty days,
(10:40):
everybody holds their lines where they're at and there's no
new fighting for thirty days, and in that thirty days,
then more advanced discussions would take place to possibly end
the war. It's going to be a tough deal to make,
right because Putin wants to keep the land that he
has conquered into Ukraine, and then Ukraine, being a small
(11:03):
country already, is like, wait a minute, We're not going
to make a deal where we're giving up a third
of our land. But that may just be what they
have to do. And the real key to this, from
what I have read and heard, is security guarantees, and
that is that Ukraine agrees to settle with Russia. And
(11:28):
the idea is that Russia would agree to this peace
deal and these new borders and everybody would kind of
go back to neutral positions and there would be no
more fighting and it would be settled. But what Ukraine
wants our security guarantees. That is, if Russia starts hostilities again,
(11:49):
that the US and our European allies, possibly NATO would
get involved in protecting Ukraine. So that's kind of the
tough point right there, the sticking point. I get it right,
because Putin has done this many times in the past,
where he will fake that he's making peace and then
(12:09):
not really live up to that peace agreement. So it's
gonna be a tough deal to make. But maybe there
could be peace between Russia and Ukraine, which would be
great to see this continued loss of life, especially among
civilians to end well. Our governor here in Florida is
(12:32):
just a fantastic guy, and he's always coming up with
great ideas, and he just floated an idea a few
days ago which I absolutely love, the idea of eliminating
real estate taxes property taxes in Florida. I love this
idea working in real estate myself, real estate and mortgages.
(12:53):
It's such a big deal now. You know, when you
look at someone who just has a typical house in Florida,
but you know, nothing expensive, not a mansion, nothing you know,
overly fancy or high end, they're probably looking at somewhere
between like three hundred and four hundred dollars a month
towards their property taxes, maybe even five hundred a month
(13:16):
towards property taxes. And then when you throw in there
the cost of insurance, which has gone up a lot.
I mean, you could be in a situation where seven
hundred eight hundred dollars a month has to go out
between property taxes and insurance, and maybe even on the
low end, maybe it's a total of five hundred a
(13:36):
month going out, but that still is huge. And what
people don't really fully realize is that when you go
to get a mortgage, the mortgage company in determining what
you can afford and whether or not you can meet
the ratios that are required, they have to factor in
the cost of the monthly cost of the property taxes
(13:58):
and the homeowner's insurance. So imagine getting rid of three
hundred to five hundred a month of property taxes. That
would give you that much more buying power. I looked
at the numbers the other day, and I was estimating
that people could probably get maybe twenty percent or twenty
(14:19):
five percent more of a house if they didn't have
to pay the property taxes. And how this would be resolved.
It's not just we're going to get rid of property
taxes and that's the end and there's no more money
to be paid out. We're just going to make it disappear.
You can't really do that, right, So they were talking
about increasing our sales tax, which I think makes a
(14:43):
tremendous amount of sense because Florida has so many people
coming in from other states for vacationing and all of that. Right,
I mean, this makes so much sense because then those
people are paying at a lot of our taxes. But
local communities are kind of afraid about this because you know,
schools are paid for by property taxes. The local infrastructure,
(15:07):
police protection, fire departments, all of that is funded by
property taxes. So they're a little bit afraid about this. Now,
this is not all that different then the idea floated
by talk show host Neil Boortz years ago, the idea
of getting rid of our income taxes and replacing it
with a national federal sales tax. This would actually I
(15:30):
would love to see this because I think it could
really be a proof in concept to be able to
support this idea of a national sales tax and getting
rid of of the income tax, the federal income tax.
So this is going to be incredible. Can you imagine
(15:51):
what this would do for Florida real estate if we
were able to eliminate property taxes. Well, that seems to
be something that is being seriously considered right now here
in our state, the JFK files. So everybody was excited
about the JFK files. It turns out there's eighty thousand pages.
(16:13):
And so what we're hearing from a lot of people is, hey,
it's eighty thousand pages. It's too much for us to
really digest this. What this all means and what the
experts are saying is it's not like you're going to
start reading it and it's going to tell you what
the bottom line, smoking gun is that somebody has to
(16:33):
actually read and digest the eighty thousand pages and then
kind of use all of these puzzle pieces to put
alongside of everything we already know about the JFK assassination,
all the documents we've already received, to be able to
figure out, well, what does this mean? So unlike what
(16:55):
we all expected, including myself, is like boom, smoking gun,
Like like the CIA was involved. We you know, here's
the the memo that says the CIA sent Oswald to Dallas.
We didn't get anything like that. What we're hearing so
far about the JFK files is that there seems to
(17:17):
be a general agreement that these files released seemed to
increase and support the foundational idea that the CIA, if
maybe not directly and overtly involved, was involved in the
sense that they knew about it and didn't do anything
(17:38):
about it. And that's largely what I say in my
book about the JFK assassination Executive Order eleven one and ten.
That's kind of my viewpoint is not just the CIA,
but what I refer to as you know, the deep state,
or you know, the the government, you know, the shadowy
figures that maybe our gun government wasn't the one actually
(18:02):
putting these things in motion for the JFK assassination, but
the people that should have been able to stop it
knew about it and did nothing. So it was more
of a negligence. It's like, well, let's this. We know
this is going to happen, so let's let it happen
kind of a thing. And I think that is even
further supported in the latest JFK release. Even some of
(18:27):
the people that are most interested in this, like Glenn
Beck for example, are admitting that it's just too much
to really know anything right now, and they're saying that
they're dumping all of these pages into AI like chat
GPT and saying, hey, chat GPT you figure this out
and tell us what this really means. So it's great
(18:50):
that we got the documents released, but the bottom line
is the takeaway is we don't really know anything as
a result of the documents being released. However, it does
seem that the one general agreement is that the CIA
knew and did nothing, which I think we kind of
already knew that even before these documents. So for right now,
(19:15):
the document release is kind of looking like a nothing
burger right now. But I do think some smart people
are going to be able to, you know, kind of
pull this apart and add these puzzle pieces to the
bigger picture and it may have some significance at some
point down the road. All Right, day Star Television largest
(19:37):
Christian TV network in the world, I believe, and I
have a connection with them, so full and fair disclosure.
I have been on as a guest over the years,
but not in a lot of years. I haven't been on.
It's been a lot of years. I think maybe I'm
gonna say maybe at least twelve or fourteen years since
I've been on day Star Television, and a lot of
(20:00):
of you know me from day Star Television, So I
have kind of some mixed feelings because Marcus Lamb gave
me some great opportunities. And I was actually friends with
Marcus before he was a big name here, when he
was in Dallas and I was living in Dallas. We
would talk on the phone, and I remember when he
(20:22):
he had purchased a small grocery store that had closed down.
He purchased the property or did a lease on it.
I don't remember which, but that's kind of where day
Star started, was in this really smaller facility. So I
knew I knew him when. I guess that, as they
say it, I knew him when. And of course now
Marcus has has passed away from COVID, and now there's
(20:45):
just this explosion of scandal at day Start Television, and
it's all over my YouTube feed, all over the different
Christian news sites that I go to, and there's just
a lot to digest there. And wow. So there was,
(21:07):
of course, Marcus Lamb had this affair for several years.
That was that whole big deal, and then that kind
of dissipated and now there's this whole new scandal. It's
like a fight for control between Joni Lamb and her
son Jonathan over controlling the network. And then there's been
(21:28):
allegations made by Jonathan about sexual abuse of one of
his children by someone in management. They're possibly a family member.
I don't honestly understand it all, and these are all allegations.
And then, of course, kind of the biggest bombshell I
think that maybe raises the most questions is that this
(21:52):
marriage expert Doug Weiss, who divorced his wife after thirty years.
And hey, I'm a divorce guy, so you know, I'm
not here to judge someone who's been through divorce. I'm
just as messed up in that regard as anybody. My
wife divorced me, so there you go. I was married
(22:13):
thirty six years. So in any case, Doug Weiss, this
marriage expert guy, divorce is his wife of thirty years
and then ends up marrying Jony Lamb, and now they're
like the new husband and wife team that is hosting
the anchor broadcast of the network. And so that is
(22:35):
kind of controversial in its own way. You know, Doug
Weiss's marriage expert guy getting a divorce and then he's
marrying Joni Lamb. And there's a lot of things going
on with Day Star and honestly, I I don't watch
I don't watch any Christian television per se. Like my mother,
(23:02):
who she loves certain Christian TV personalities, she will like
sit down, click on the TV and watch some of
these channels. And the way I do it is the
ones I follow. I tend to just go to YouTube
and get their latest sermon or their latest message or Facebook,
(23:24):
and I kind of directly navigate to what I want
and I watch it that way. But there's still a
lot of people who go to these Christian channels and
just like consume it. They just watch it for hours
an hour. So on day Star Television, there are a
lot of these Christian personalities that are on there all
(23:45):
throughout the day in the night. So it's not just
Jony Lamb and Marcus and now Doug Weiss and Joni
and some of the shows that they actually produce a
day Star, but it's also that broker in time to
all of these other personalities. So wow, there's just been
(24:07):
a lot of controversy over day Star Television, and I
certainly wish them well and they've been great to me,
so I have no complaint in that regard, but I
don't want to be a hypocrite and say, well, since
they've buttered my bread over the years, I can't ever
mention when there's some negative news or controversy regarding the network.
(24:30):
It is what it is, and if you haven't been
following it, just throw it into your search engine and
you will see. Okay, the Gene Hackman murder mystery, I'm
gonna call it continues. And this has been a weird
one from the beginning on so many levels. Gene Hackman
and his wife and their dog found dead, so right there,
(24:53):
that's just okay, this is weird. And then it took
several days to figure out the cause of death, and
there's just so many questions about it, and now people
are the latest revelations are that people are really questioning
the police investigation, including the body cam video, and this
(25:16):
whether legitimately so or not, this thing has turned into
maybe like another conspiracy type of investigation that everybody not everybody,
but there's a lot of people right now online that
have just a wide range of theories about what is
(25:37):
going on with the Gene Hackman situation. He died with
eighty million dollars of net worth, He cut all of
his kids out of his will. He wasn't found. He
and his wife deceased for days and days and days.
I think it was nine days, and it just made
(25:58):
me think, Wow, what is add way to end your life?
You know, to be isolated to the point that you
could be missing for nine days and that's when they
come looking for you. I don't know. It just a
lot of unusual things. I will grant to those that
have the conspiracy theories. There's definitely some fodder here for
(26:19):
some conspiracy theories, no doubt about it. And it seems
like the narrative of what really happened there continues to shift,
like the time of death has now changed on the wife,
and now that the bodycam video has come out, there's
more questions. So this continues to percolate and maybe something
we'll never get a resolution to. It'll just be kind
(26:41):
of one of those kind of things that hangs out there,
you know, in history, like, yeah, nobody really knows what
happened with Gene Hackman and his wife. Just a lot
of questions still being raised. Okay, so we still do
have the Ripple XRP class and there so much that
people want to know about Ripple XRP and I've been
(27:03):
talking about it for I guess maybe about ten or
twelve years. And this is the cryptocurrency many people compared
to bitcoin. Could it be the bitcoin next bitcoin? It
absolutely could be. I think it will be the next bitcoin.
And you can get in on this right now for
about two and a half dollars per coin. And one
(27:26):
of the cool things is that I'm giving everybody who
joins my class ten dollars of Ripple XRP as part
of the class. As part of the learning exercises, You're
gonna get ten dollars of Ripple XRP, plus you're gonna
learn all about it, how you can buy more, how
you can set up a wallet, how you can even
(27:48):
store it offline if you want to do that, all
the different kind of intricacies in the ins and outs
of Ripple XRP. And this is a super affordable class.
It's under fifty bucks. I'm calling it a micro class.
It's something you could probably knock out in a couple
of days and get all the information you need about
(28:08):
Ripple XRP, how to get started, and you're gonna get
ten dollars back out of that money that you spend
the forty seven bucks. You're gonna get ten dollars of
ripple XRP, so it's really only costing you thirty seven dollars.
But it's a cool way to kind of get in
on a training class and also get the actual cryptocurrency.
If you want to find out more about that, check
(28:30):
out my website Jim Teaches Crypto dot com, Jim teaches
Crypto and Crypto cry p t o, Jim Teaches Crypto
dot Com and grab your ten dollars of free ripple XRP.
This in the news, Trump says. President Trump says he's
(28:54):
ending Secret Service protection for Joe Biden's adult children is
Hunter Biden and Ashley Biden. And this is something that
a lot of people don't realize that after someone leaves
office as president, they continue to get the Secret Service protection,
(29:18):
but their family does not necessarily get it automatically. It's
just kind of, I guess on a case by case basis.
And Hunter Biden has taken full, you know, advantage exploiting
Secret Service protection apparently all kinds of international trips with
the Secret Service agents alongside. And it's ending, and I
(29:42):
think it's a good thing. It's a huge, huge waste
of money. I think. I was even reading the other
day that former vice presidents only get Secret Service protection
for like a very limited period of time. That it's
really the president that gets it in retirement and you
know his spouse, you know their household, but that's really it.
(30:06):
And you know, personal protection, like the Secret Service is
so expensive. I mean, if you can imagine the infrastructure
and the salaries and the travel expenses and all of
those kind of things. I remember when George H. W.
Bush moved to Dallas after he left the presidency, he
(30:27):
had bought a house in Dallas, not far from where
I was living when I lived in Dallas, and the
Secret Service actually had to purchase like his next door
neighbor's house to be able to guard him. I mean,
those are the kind of things that they have to do,
is actually buy a house next to the person they're guarding.
(30:47):
So this is a huge I think savings, and you
know what, it's it's the right thing to do, I think.
And I mean, unless there's some you know, known legitimate
looming threat, the Biden's kids need to provide their own protection.
And it is what it is. All right, we'll close
it out with this. There's still this lingering question that's
(31:10):
kind of hanging out there. Is the gold in Fort
Knox really there or not? And let me tell you
what makes me a little bit suspicious, like I'm getting
a little bit into the conspiracy theory, is that this
was first talked about. I think it was about four
weeks ago that we first heard this idea that President
(31:31):
Trump and Elon Musk We're going to go to Fort
Knox and they were talking about even like live streaming
it online to prove it is the gold there or not.
And this is a conspiracy theory that's been around really forever,
and we haven't heard anything more about it, and it's
been about a month, and I'm just wondering, like, why
(31:53):
haven't they gone. I think it would be interesting. It'd
be a lot of fun to see a live stream
of all those gold bars. Maybe you'd see Scrooge McDuck
in one of the safes. But it's something that people
want to know. And of course, the US has not
been on a gold standard since nineteen seventy two. However,
(32:14):
the idea that the US owns all this gold is
sort of part of the quote unquote net worth of
our government and is part of the value of our
monetary system, even though we don't peg one dollar to
a certain amount of gold or a certain amount of silver.
If that gold were missing, wow, that would be the
(32:37):
scandal of all scandals. I mean, where did it go
and how did they hide it for all these years
that we don't have the gold? I mean, even if
some of it's missing, it would be an incredible scandal.
And of course, the price of gold has been going
crazy skyrocketing. So the implications of this would be if
(32:57):
we found out that the gold wasn't there, or some
amount of the goal wasn't there, it would just raise
the question of supply of gold. And of course, if
it were to be concluded that there's less gold there
than people imagine there would be, that would be a reason,
(33:19):
you know, basic economics, a lower supply of gold than
exists than what was previously thought, which would make the
price of gold go higher. So it's interesting. I'm just
throwing out a question, why haven't they gone? If we have,
you know, this question out there, why not check it out.
(33:42):
I love the idea, But now that a month is
gone by, I'm like, Okay, why haven't we gone? Just
just thrown that out there all right, thanks so much
for listening. If you want to get in touch with me,
the absolute best way, I have an email that goes
directly to my phone. This way I can see it
