news on money's politics, prophecy, and preparedness, and now your host,
(00:52):
the editor in chief of Christian money dot com and
the author of more than thirty books. Jim Paris.
Speaker 2 (00:59):
All right, hello you buddy, and welcome to the broadcast. Wow,
I have to tell you that it's all about Charlie
Kirk on this broadcast. I've got a few other news
items to get to, but there's so much that I
want to say. And the first thing I want to
start with is by saying I have had I've never
(01:21):
had this in my life, but I have had this
unusual feeling like survivor's guilt after the death of Charlie Kirk.
And it's been hanging with me all week. In other words,
seeing this guy and all that he was accomplishing and
his bright future. I had to keep saying to myself,
(01:43):
why am I still here and he's not? And maybe
that's how a lot of you feel. But I can
tell you this that we don't understand it right now,
but God has a bigger plan, and man, is that
a heart to believe in moments like this. But I've
(02:05):
seen this happen so many times in my life, where
people who come along and accomplish so much in such
a short period of time, and then they die way
too young, and you're always wondering what would have happened
if they lived longer. I mean, and this is in
every area of life, whether it's in politics or music,
(02:30):
or celebrities or ministry. No doubt Charlie Kirk was on
the path to probably become a president. I have no
doubt that was going to happen at some point and
would have reached countless people. And I have to tell
you that I never met Charlie Kirk, and probably that's
(02:54):
because back in the day, the years when I was
traveling a lot, going on radio, TV, Charlie Kirk wasn't
doing what he's doing now. So he's really been in
the last ten years he's been in the media, and
that's a period of time where I haven't been. I've
been mostly you know, producing my own show and not
(03:15):
doing a lot of appearances on other people's broadcasts. But man,
this guy, he was set to have an incredible future.
And there's just so many people that fall into this category.
They're gone too soon, and you just have to think,
what if? What if he lived to be fifty, sixty,
(03:37):
seventy years old, what all would he have accomplished? And
there's so much you think about. You think about him
being thirty one. Man, thirty one, that is such a
young age. You think about his two young children and
his young wife. I guess he was married only four years.
(04:00):
And you take a man out of a home like that.
His children probably not old enough that they'll ever remember
him in the future. But people have been so generous.
I think I read an article that Tucker Carlson gave
a million dollars to his widow, the owner of the
Chicago Cubs, made a huge financial donation. Not that money
(04:26):
is going to ever replace the loss of Charlie Kirk
to his family, but it's certainly something that you don't
want a widow to have to worry about with two
young children. You know, where is the you know, the
next you know payment coming from for the for the
(04:47):
living expenses. As a financial advisor in the past, I
have counseled widows, and it is such a tragic situation
when someone is unexpectedly taken. It's different when someone is, say,
sick for a long time and then they pass away.
It's still a great loss. But something like this, a
(05:09):
guy that's in perfect health as far as we knew,
and just boom, he's gone, And it's just you can't
process it on so many levels. And then when we
start looking at the shooter who is aged twenty two,
I guess we're supposed to still say alleged shooter. Alleged
shooter age twenty two. And now they're delving into the
(05:31):
possibility that others might have been involved in the planning.
That would make it a conspiracy, so other people could
have criminal liability, and obviously have all of those people
and their families, their lives are ruined, and on and
on and on, And I know Charlie Kirk had his critics.
(05:52):
Even among Christians, Charlie Kirk had his critics. I saw
a meme on Facebook the other day and I noticed
that some of my followers on Facebook shared this meme
and some even you know, liked it as well. Jesus
wants us to win souls, not win arguments, and I
(06:16):
get that, I get that side of it. But the
truth is everybody has a different ministry. You know. The
Apostle Paul, if if you look at history and you
look at his writings, clearly a super edgy guy. The
Apostle Paul was one of these bold spokespersons who really
got in people's face when it came to the culture
(06:39):
and it came to our faith and what we should
be doing and not be doing, I mean so much
to the point that he ended up in prison numerous
times for what he had, what he had to say.
God calls those bold spokespersons, no doubt, and Charlie Kirk
was one of those. And and there are different ministries
(07:01):
for people who are a little bit maybe more soft spoken,
a little bit less confrontational. But make no doubt about it,
Charlie Kirk, I believe, was doing God's work and had
that Apostle Paul type of boldness that is, you know,
arguably abrasive at the same time, but it does not
(07:22):
in any way diminish the truth that he was sharing.
Another part of this that I find very interesting are
the people that came out and celebrated the death of
Charlie Kirk. And I heard someone on talk radio discussing this,
(07:43):
and I was really fascinated to hear this group discussion about,
you know, where do these people come from that believe
it's okay for someone to be murdered because of their
beliefs or because of things that they've said, And where
do these people come from, and what silos are they
(08:04):
living that even if they have those thoughts privately, that
they believe it's okay to publicly go out on the
facebooks and the twitters and all of these platforms and
publicly make such statements. In other words, thinking that not
only do they believe it's okay he was murdered, it's
(08:26):
okay for them to publicly celebrate it, not realizing that
there could be anyone out there that disagrees with them
doing that or saying that, or that there would be
any consequences for that. And now we're starting to see
the consequences. We're starting to see people getting fired, people
being removed from top positions. I mean, in pretty much
(08:48):
every industry. I saw what was it an air traffic
controller or a pilot that was fired, Several teachers put
on suspension, all kinds of individuals from every walk of life,
and there is apparently what is coming is a database
that will be made available. In this database will have
(09:12):
more than forty thousand people in it that celebrated on
social media the death of Charlie Kirk, and it'll have
what they said, and it's also going to list where
they work. And I don't know how far that will
go towards changing hearts and minds, but I definitely think
(09:34):
it's a start that people should be held accountable for
what they say in that regard. A disturbing story related
to that was I believe it was yesterday or on Friday,
someone went to office depot to have some printer some
(09:56):
flyers printed. And let me just check my source on this,
because I believe it was office depot. It might have
been Staples, but let's check it out. I believe it
was office depot, And yeah, office depot fires employees for
(10:17):
refusing to print Charlie Kirk posters that were going to
be used in relation to his visual his vigil that
people were having and they refuse to print the posters,
claiming that they were propagandas so those people are losing
(10:37):
their jobs. But it raises a question I've been asking
for years, which is are we really close to a
civil war in this country? Or has the civil war
already begun? I just don't know. It is such a
(11:00):
tragedy and I guess the only good that will come
from this as far as I can see right now,
And you know, it's times like things that you got
to say. I know God is in control, but why
wasn't Charlie Kirk protected like Trump was protected? How did
(11:22):
this happen?
Speaker 1 (11:23):
You know?
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Where was God when this bullet was fired? I think
it's fair that we all have those questions, But we
just have to believe that God has a bigger plan
and what appears to be happening is just a complete
ground swell of people wanting to step up and as
they're putting it, become a Charlie Kirk. And maybe in
(11:47):
Charlie's death, what he has done is launched a new movement,
a movement larger than what he had started, a movement
where there won't just be one Charlie Kirk. But there
will be thousands, maybe tens of thousands of Charlie Kirks. Now.
The President has said this and many others have said this,
(12:11):
that in death he may his message may have become
bigger than it ever was during life. His life, and
of course we're all looking for the silver lining in
this dark cloud, but nonetheless a tragedy in our thoughts
and prayers definitely go out to his whole family, his
wife and young children. I saw pictures of his grieving
(12:34):
parents online as well, and just a really dark week
for conservatives and Christians. All Right, So it is week
five of me being in law school. And it's interesting
because I'm pretty active on social media, keeping my followers
updated as to what's going on in my life. But
(12:57):
I still get questions from people saying, hey, what happened
You kind of have dropped off a little bit, What's
going on with you? And I email them and tell
him I'm in law school and they're surprised by it.
They just they didn't know. But it is law school
week five. We've got midterms exams coming up in the
(13:17):
next maybe ten days to two weeks. But I'm absolutely
loving it. And I don't know exactly what I'm going
to do with this law degree. People are asking me,
you know, are you going to go into this kind
of law or that kind of law? And I don't know.
I definitely know I want to do some good and
(13:38):
maybe just some introspection. This week with the death of
Charlie Kirk, it made me think, well, you know, whatever
the Lord wants to do with this law degree. You know,
in a two and a half years or so, when
I'm a lawyer, what am I going to do. I've
thought about teaching teaching law, teaching at a school college,
(13:59):
or be practicing law. We'll we'll see what happens, maybe
a little bit of both. All right, So mortgage rates
are dropping and the headline is that rates are at
the lowest point that we've seen in about a year.
And that's absolutely true. Sometimes what you see in the
news doesn't really line up with the reality of what's happening.
(14:20):
And yes, I still am a mortgage loan officer working
with residential properties, whether it's your own home, a second home,
even an investment property. I can help you with that.
I'm licensed in a number of states, and where I
happen not to be licensed, I can also refer you
to a member on my team. One thing that has
(14:44):
been very popular is this home equity line of credit program,
and I just want to mention it briefly again today.
If you've got equity in your home and rates have
not dropped low enough for you to be able to
do the whole refine finance, sort of a middle step
to that is getting a home equity line of credit,
(15:05):
and I've got one available where you can go online.
You can get an approval in five minutes, you can
close in five days, and the closing is online. In
most areas, no appraisal is required. This is a fixed
rate loan and you could borrow as little as twenty
(15:26):
five thousand dollars. Now, if you'd like to find out
more about it and to see how this might work
for you, you can check it out for free with no
obligation by going to quick Turn heelock dot com. So
quick turn and then Helock is spelled h e l
oc dot com. Quick turn helock dot com. Or you
(15:51):
can just drop me an email James Elparis at gmail
dot com, and I can get on the phone with
you and we can talk about options that are available. Well.
Due to a court ruling here in Florida about a
week ago, we are now able to open carry firearms
(16:11):
in most counties in Florida. In fact, here in central
Florida I read two articles where the sheriff of two
of our large counties came out and said, yep, we're
no longer enforcing the law regarding open carry. So what
that means is that constitutional open carry appears to now
(16:32):
be the law in Florida due to this court decision.
That means, like in some states, like in New Hampshire,
where they walk around with a firearm on their hip,
open carry, that appears to be the case now in Florida.
Of course, if you're in Florida you're planning to open carry,
make sure you check with the sheriff in your county
(16:53):
to see if they are honoring this court decision. I
know they are in my area. And yet they did
remind people that open carry does not mean that you
can carry your firearm everywhere. Private businesses still have the
right to exclude people from carrying any firearm, whether it
be open or concealed, And of course there's lots of
(17:15):
rules regarding where you can't carry a firearm in general places.
Like schools and federal property and those kinds of things.
So something to check into. But it is interesting to
see that open carry seems to have made its way
to Florida. And this story is tragic and really hilarious
(17:38):
at the same time. Chicago gangs are now warning the
US military to stay out of Chicago. I'd love to
see it. I mean, I'd love to see these guys
try to take on our military. Make no mistake, however,
a lot of these gangs they've got serious weaponry, but
(17:58):
obviously they'd be no match for our military, including special forces.
But there seems to be just this unusual resistance by
the governor of Illinois to Trump's idea of bringing in
the National Guard to clean up crime in the city.
It seems like the people want it, but the leaders don't.
(18:18):
And maybe that's all about the embarrassment. If they were
to allow Trump to come in and clean things up,
how bad that might make them look. But Chicago gang's
warning the US military. And going back to our last broadcast,
we talked an awful lot about cracker barrel and that
(18:39):
whole controversy, and man, it's like a one eighty cracker
barrel is not going to change the logo. Now we
know that Cracker Barrel is not going to remodel the
stores and turn them into what would look like dental offices.
So it's just it's all it's all flipped around. So
(19:01):
it seems like, and I'm gonna use the phrase originally
attributed to Jerry Folwell, it seems like there is kind
of this moral majority, this silent majority, like they don't
know we're all out here, but we are people that
we want our old cracker barrel. We want to be
(19:24):
able to carry firearms. We want conservative and traditional values,
we want all of those things. But it seems like
the woke crowd that gets put in charge of these businesses.
I don't know. It goes back to what I said
earlier in the show about these silos that people live in,
(19:44):
the idea that people think it would be okay to
come out publicly. You know, they're a school teacher, they're
a pilot, they're a corporate executive and celebrate the death
of Charlie Kirk publicly, that that would be okay. And
even Stephen King. I mean, they don't have a point
of reference. And I think this is kind of bringing that,
(20:08):
you know, to the forefront the fact that hey, there's
a lot more of us decent people than there are
those that would do those kinds of things. And we're
starting to see the consequences back the backlash of it,
including you know this this whole woke rebranding of cracker
Barrel that seems to have gone up completely in smoke.
(20:30):
Now Russia Gate indictments appear to be coming. I saw
this article on Glenn Beck's site. I think this is
interesting because you know this, of course, we're talking about
what happened in Trump's first term leading up to the election.
This this entire hoax about Trump colluding with Russia to
(20:54):
be able to influence the US elections, and that was
one of the one of the impeachment was all related
to that. And it turns out, of course, now we
know it was not only not true, but it turns
out to be a well managed and created conspiracy of
misinformation and disinformation. And they are really really going to
(21:21):
be going after these guys, and the word is that
indictments may be forthcoming for those people involved in Russiagate.
All right, that's all I've got for you this time.
Thank you so much for joining me. If you want
to get in touch, the email is James Elpeis at
gmail dot com. I am a real estate agent in
(21:43):
Florida can help you anywhere in Florida. I'm also a

number of other states. And if I'm not licensed in
your state for real estate or mortgages, I can refer you.
So keep all that in mind and get in touch
if there's anything I can do for you. In My books,
of course, are still available over at Amazon dot com.
(22:07):
Thanks so much for joining us. I appreciate you guys,
and maybe not doing these episodes is often, but we're
still trying to keep them going as well as law school.
God blessed. We'll talk to you next time. So long, everybody,
