Speaker 1 (00:06):
Gentle, then start your engines. Now you're talking about mister
Grbakoff teared down this one. The only thing we have
to bear. Spare it by not a crop. If you
like your healthcare plan, you will be on to keep
(00:27):
your healthcare plan.
Speaker 2 (00:30):
Ye sick f R three?
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Why fire? You're listening to Jim Paris Live, your source
for the latest news on money, politics, prophecy, and preparedness.
And now your host is the editor in chief of
Christian Money dot com and the author of more than
thirty books. Jim Paris all right, hello.
Speaker 2 (00:58):
Everybody, and welcome to the broadcast. Jim Paris here with you,
and we're starting to get into the kind of steamy
days here in Florida. Yeah, we do have the four seasons,
I guess in theory, but man, it's starting to get hot.
It was like almost ninety degrees yesterday, and I know
we're just here into the month of April, but hey,
(01:22):
it's a pretty neat place to live, a lot of
things to do here, so got a lot to get
into today on the broadcast. But I wanted to share
something with you that I did on Sunday. And I
know a lot of people don't like Disney. So let's
just skip over that issue, you know, Disney and their
politics and their liberalism and all of that, and let's
(01:43):
just talk about Disney as a fun place. So one
of the things that people don't know about Disney is
here in Florida that there's a lot of free things
that you can do at Disney. Literally, you don't need
a ticket to do a lot of these things I'm
going to tell you about. And so some friends of
mine came up from Fort Myers. They had never been
(02:05):
to Disney before. Now I have the annual pass, but
they don't have a ticket, and they wanted to just
kind of, hey, what can we do to go over
to Disney and see some stuff. So there's so much
you can do. And I actually wrote an article about
this a few years ago, and it was funny the
reaction that I got from people, which is that I
was somehow taking advantage of Disney by doing all this
(02:28):
free stuff over there. And I think the article it's
still up. You can find it through my website Christian
Money dot com or through my author page at medium
dot com. It was something like all the free stuff
I did at Disney or something like that, and I
got so many weird emails from people saying you are
taking advantage of Disney by doing that, But there's so
(02:52):
many free things. So let me just mention to you briefly.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
So what did we do.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
So we got to the park. Because I'm an annual
pass I didn't have to pay for parking. But if
you're not an annual passolder, you can park for free
at Disney Springs and then they have a bus system
which will get you to the Magic Kingdom to start
your journey, which is what we did. So we parked
at Magic Kingdom with my free parking, and then we
(03:18):
went to We took the boat over across the Seven
Seas Lagoon, which was kind of fun. She has a
little son, he's eight, and so we had a great
day with him, you know, just watching him enjoying all this.
So we took the boat across to the Magic Kingdom
from the you know initial you know, parking lot area
of the Magic Kingdom, you take the boat across. You
(03:40):
could take the monorail, but we chose to take the boat,
just kind of another experience. Then you get across there
and then what we did was rather than entering the
Magic Kingdom because they don't have tickets. We went ahead
and jumped on the mono rail and the mono rail
goes right over to the Contemporary Hotel. We got off
at the Content Temporary and I had packed this great
(04:03):
picnic lunch for us, and so it's from my new
favorite store. I don't even know if this place is
nationwide or not. I believe they might be. It's called
Sprouts Market, and I love their fresh sandwiches, which are
five bucks. So I got us some great sandwiches and
I had this great picnic for us. We get to
(04:24):
the Contemporary Hotel, buy mono rail. This is all free again.
We get off at the mono rail exit there at
the Contemporary Hotel. We walk across to where there's that
observation deck, which a lot of times if you follow
me on Facebook, you'll see these great pictures I take
of the mono rail with the Space Mountain behind it
(04:45):
and the castle at Magic Kingdom behind all of that.
I take those from this little observation deck. So we
go sit out on the observation deck, we eat our
great picnic lunch. Then we go back in and I
slipped the kid a twenty dollars bill and let him
go into the arcade, which they've got a fantastic arcade
there at Contemporary. So that was one thing I did
(05:06):
spend money on. So there you go. There's my little
my asterisk disclaimer. But he loved the arcade. We spend
maybe a hour there. Then we jump back on the
mono rail and we go all the way around to
the Grand Floridian Hotel, jump off there, hang out at
Grand Floridian, get some great coffee and desserts, and sit
(05:26):
outside and just enjoy the beautiful weather. Then we take
the mono rail back to So where do we go
from there? So we took the mono rail back to
Magic Kingdom. We got off there, we jumped on a
bus that took us to the Hollywood Studios, and then
(05:48):
from the Hollywood Studios, we jumped on these gondolas. Now
these these buckets you see that kind of they're hanging
on wires and going all throughout Disney's property. It's the
gondola system, and I think it's only been there for
five or six years, and the first time I went
on it was about three weeks ago, three or four
(06:08):
weeks ago. But we jumped on the gondola and we
took the gondola from Hollywood Studios and it goes all
the way to Epcot. So we got off at Epcot
and you get off in an area where you can
see France and you can see some of the stuff
without a ticket to get in. We kind of hung
out there for a while. Then we kind of called
(06:30):
it a day. We ended up, you know, riding the
another bus that took us back to Disney Springs. We
hung out at Disney Springs for a while and then
we got back to Magic Kingdom where my car was.
So it was a fun day and we had a
lot of just a lot of great you know, fellowship
and it didn't cost anything but a little bit of
(06:51):
money for some snacks, some money for the kid to
play in the arcade, but a lot of the things
you can do for free at Disney. So I didn't
mean to spend that much time. And the opening of
the podcast talking about free stuff at Disney, but there's
lots of free stuff. So if you don't have the budget,
and I know it's expensive, I don't know what it
is now per day because I have the annual ticket,
but I think if you were to bring like a
(07:12):
family of five in there and just buy a one
day ticket, you'd probably be north of eight hundred bucks,
maybe even a thousand dollars to get in there for
the day. And so if you're looking to just kind
of get a little taste of Disney without spending the
big bucks, that's one way that you can go about
doing it. All right, let's get into some news and
(07:32):
some topics some things that are going on. One of
the things that I have gotten frustrated with especially lately,
and I know this has been going on for a
number of years, but when you're doing searches on news sites,
you know, especially Google News, I get frustrated with this
so much when a lot of the content you click
(07:53):
on it and then it says, well, you can't see
this unless you're a subscriber. So I'm throwing that out
to my audience. Do you know of a way where
I can block that?
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Like?
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Can I block my search results in Google News and
only see those stories that I can actually get to.
I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to
do it. I'm just throwing that out. Maybe there's some
super techie person that listens to the podcast that can
help me out with that. I'm just getting just really
frustrated with that. So Doze the Department of Government Efficiency.
(08:29):
We're going to get into a lot about those here
here today, but I want to talk about this one
in particular that I love, which is that DOSEE is
investigating elected officials who are quote unquote mysteriously rich. And
I love this because people do not really realize when
(08:49):
you go into Congress, on whether you're in the House
of Representatives or you're a senator, they don't actually get
paid very much. I mean, they get paid more than
probably most people, but when you consider the fact that
most of them have to have two homes and the
other expenses associated with being in Congress, it's not really
that much money. So I think it's like one hundred
(09:12):
and seventy five for a senator, and I think it's
around one hundred and forty or one hundred and fifty
for a congressman. But you see these people, they go
in to Congress, they don't have much of a net worth,
and then they're making you know, what, granted, is is
a good salary, but it's not a salary that's going
to end up making you worth twenty million dollars or anything.
(09:34):
Crazy like that, but yet a lot of them retire
as multimillionaires. So I love that Doge led by Elon Musk,
is going to be looking into these people. You know,
how much money are they making legit, you know, from
their salary, and where's the other money coming from? Where
is all this other money coming from that they have
(09:56):
that kind of gives them their multimillionaire state at us.
I think that's interesting. We'll get back to Doze here
in just a minute, because I want to talk about
what's going on with you know, really the well, let's
just do it now. I want to address what's going
on with this you know, literal attack that's going on
(10:18):
against Elon Musk. So not just Elon Musk, but the
stock of his company. We've got people like Tim Walltz,
former vice presidential candidate, coming out, you know, talking about
bringing down the stock of Tesla. Now you know, the
Tesla stock is owned, you know, this is pretty widely
(10:39):
owned stock. So that's going to affect a lot of
people's pocketbooks. And also when you look at this whole
movement of people damaging Tesla vehicles, the latest is they're
they're keying them and they're actually scratching in a schwastika
sign into the side of these vehicles. What I think is, obviously,
(11:01):
this is a horrible thing. Okay, this is not the
way to protest what you're protesting, which, honestly, I don't
even know what these people are protesting. They're protesting that
Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency is finding fraud,
waste and abuse in our government spending. That's what they're protesting.
(11:22):
So how that is an issue, How anybody could take
issue with that, I don't know. But the way to
do it is not by damaging people's private property, not
by trying to drive down the stock of a widely owned,
publicly traded company. I mean, this is owned by a
lot of pensions, it's owned by a lot of liberals
and conservatives alike, it's owned by a lot of mutual funds.
(11:44):
It's not something that it's not a targeted boycott. When
you're kind of going after your own people, right, it
doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. But this
is continuing to go on painting on the side of Tesla's,
carving schwastikas into Tesla's And what's funny is I don't
(12:08):
know if there's been any surveys on this, but I
do know that an awful lot of Tesla owners are liberals.
In fact, I have a relative who is very, very
liberal politically, and he has a Tesla. He's had one
for I think a handful of years, and he's very
proud of that and and what it means for the
environment and wanting to be like an early adopter of
(12:31):
electric vehicles because that's the future. And that's kind of
what liberals have said. They've said, let's get rid of
the you know, the traditional car, you know, the combustion engine,
and let's get into this whole electric car movement. So
now that now that that's taken off, right now that
we have all these great electric cars, we wanted electric
(12:55):
cars as liberals as they they they would say, but
now we hate the guy that kind of is the
guy that brought electric cars to the masses. It really
makes very little sense. But the word is that Elon
Musk after his appointment ends, which is one hundred and
twenty day appointment, so that's coming up soon. I think
(13:16):
in like another thirty days that he's going to be
done being in charge of DOGE. I think doze should continue.
I hope it does beyond the one hundred and twenty days,
because I believe, and maybe I'm unique on this, that
there is probably a huge tremendous amount of government fraud, waste,
(13:40):
and abuse. So Oliver Stone has been invited to testify
at a house hearing about the newly released JFK files,
and I really I'm really looking forward to this because
I have looked at a lot of articles of out
(14:00):
the release, something like eighty thousand pages, and there's not
really a lot there. In fact, some of the guys
I follow, who are you know, real big into the
JFK conspiracy theories and they've got, you know, all the
history and the knowledge about it. They're saying some of
them are saying nothing, burger. What is the most substantive
(14:24):
thing that people are saying is well, maybe this proves
that the CIA knew of the conspiracy and didn't do
anything to stop it. So sort of like a conspirator
that never really like took any actions towards the conspiracy,
but kind of by just turning a blind eye to it,
(14:46):
they bear some level of responsibility. Maybe it's more than that,
but that's kind of the most that I'm hearing from people,
but I'd love to get Oliver Stone's viewpoint on it.
It is a little bit confusing, right, Like why would
they hold back these documents if these documents did not
really have anything in them that would be bombshells. So
(15:11):
I think we were our expectations were really high for
what we were going to get, and that at least
we can conclude our expectations were way above what we
actually got. But is there still something in there? Maybe
there's some kind of you know, the devils in the details.
Maybe we're gonna hear something from Oliver Stone, or somebody's
(15:32):
gonna connect some dots and get some significance out of
these eighty thousand pages that were released. I don't know. Okay,
So the daughter of governor, the daughter of Tim Waltz.
Back to Tim Waltz here again, the governor of Tim
Waltz says she is a privileged white woman and will
(15:55):
not attend graduate school as a protest. Isn't that special?
I love these protests by liberals that make no sense,
like the protests let's go out and destroy electric cars,
which we were you know, pushing and supporting for all
(16:16):
these years. Now let's go out and destroy these cars.
It's like the dots are not connecting. You know, everything's
not firing here. You know, the synapses are not firing,
and you just got to wonder. Okay, so to protest
her status as a privileged white woman, she's not going
(16:38):
to attend graduate school. How that makes sense in maybe
some parallel universe. I just don't get it. But whatever
floats your boat. Anything I post online about Bill Gates
just absolutely explodes. People do not like Bill Gates, at
(16:58):
least on my social media feet. So Bill Gates' latest
He's been talking a lot about AI, artificial intelligence, probably
for a good couple of years. It's been just out
there as an ever present kind of theme with Bill
Gates and Bill Gates' latest comment that I posted, that's
got a lot of people upset. Which I get it
(17:21):
that people are really maybe afraid of AI, maybe they
don't understand it completely. Certainly, I would agree that there's
lots of dangers and risks associated with AI, but we
can't just throw the baby out with the bathwater. We
had this same phenomenon. I remember when we started getting
(17:42):
you know, widespread adoption of the internet, you know, back
in the late nineties early two thousands, a lot of
Christians said, I'm not going to go online because the
Internet is all pornography and gambling. That's all it is.
Our ministry can't have a website because we don't want
to be part of that cesspool. A lot of people
did that, and obviously that has changed and people looked
(18:05):
at the Internet as like a neutral technology.
Speaker 1 (18:08):
It is what it is.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
If you use it for good, then it can be
a good thing. If you use it for bad, it
could be a bad thing. So here we go. Bill
Gates says a two day work week is coming in
just ten years thanks to AI replacing human beings for
most things, and we're hearing things like your doctor's going
to be replaced, your lawyer's going to be replaced. I
(18:33):
personally do use AI, so I will admit that I
use it. I don't want to be a hypocrite here.
And what do I use it for? As a writer?
I use it to get quick research on things, and
I do double check, you know, the information that I
get to make sure that it's accurate. But I also
(18:54):
use it just for researching general topics, like especially on
the law, especially re searching legal issues, and I do
double check it, but I do find it to be
a really quick way to get information. So I am
a premium subscriber to chat GPT and I do use it,
and I use it a lot, and I get a
(19:15):
lot of good benefit from it. But this idea that
humans will only be working two days a week coming
up in ten years, I'm not sure about that. And then,
you know, how does that work economically. I know there's
this talk of some sort of a universal basic income
where people would get a check every first in the
(19:36):
month and it would be just based on being alive
and breathing, and you get a little two day a
week job that kind of supplements that. Don't know how
that's going to work, But a lot of people don't
like it when I post about Bill Gates and AI
just sort of sets them off, all right. So I
want to remind people. I've got the twelve free videos
(19:59):
up for you about this business opportunity, and you can
check it out by going to realpicks dot us. That's
real R.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
E A. L.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
Picks Pics, realpicks dot Us. Now, when you go there,
you're going to see the twelve free video. It's going
to tell you all about what this side business is.
It is one of the best side businesses I have
ever run across, and I personally do this side business.
(20:30):
What are we doing. We're using our smartphone to go
out and take pictures of houses for banks, mortgage companies
and property managers. A lot of times you're just taking
a quick four or five pictures from the street and
that's the end of it. But there are some projects
(20:50):
that you can accept where you're actually going to take
pictures of the interior of the house as well, and
then you can get paid double or triple the fee
to do that. It's a great side gig and you
can easily make a few hundred dollars even more than
one thousand dollars a month doing this just part time.
(21:11):
And we've got the twelve videos up for you that
show you all about this. And especially if you're a
real estate agent, this could be a great side gig
for you because there are some special projects just for
real estate agents. Now you don't have to be a
licensed real estate agent to do this, but if you are,
you can get even more projects to be able to
(21:34):
take pictures for. So check this out. I've got the
twelve free videos up there for you at real Picks
that's R. E. A. L. And then Picks Pics reel
picks dot us, not dot com, but reelpicks dot us.
(21:55):
And if you have questions about that opportunity, you can
always drop me an email that goes directly to my
phone own James L. Paris at gmail dot com. Well,
we're hearing a lot about this texting scam. You get
a text to your phone and it's regarding a toll
(22:15):
bill that you owe. Now what's confusing about this for
a lot of people, especially me, is that I actually
do have a toll account with here in Central Forward.
It's called ePass. I have one of those, and they
actually do text you when your balance gets low and
you need to add money. But where the real scam
(22:37):
kicks in on this is when you get a link
to click on on an email like that. That link
will then take you to a scam site where they
will either steal your identity or your credit card information
or both. And it's a big thing and that we
continue to just keep getting warning after warning after warning
(22:57):
about this online and so so as is the case
with any of these so called phishing or smishing I
believe it's called with texting smishing. You don't want to
click on the link that they give you if you
get it. If you get a text and it says, hey,
you need to pay your toll bill, your best option
(23:18):
would be to just separately go to your computer and
navigate to your toll authority, log into your account and
deal with it there. Don't use the link that they
give you in their smishing text because that's how they
get you. And speaking of scams, this is a scam
(23:38):
I keep hearing about, and I want to I'm throwing
this out there because if there is a real estate
lawyer or a real estate guru expert out there, they
can help us with this. I'd love to bring you
on and do an interview about it. This whole thing
about people stealing the deed to your home, it's just
like prolific. I'm getting new stories on it every day
(24:01):
where supposedly somebody could go down to the local county
courthouse with just a handful of some forged documents and
actually get the deed from your house put into their name.
And if you don't have a mortgage presently, they can
take out a mortgage even and get all the money
(24:22):
and what in the world you would think there would
be something to prevent this. And the only thing I
know of that I have found out so far that
you can do that's free. I know there's a paid
service that you hear ads for. I don't know if
it's good or not. I'm not going to weigh in
out either way because I don't know. But I do
know that with a lot of counties, you can go
(24:44):
down to your county and you can have them email you.
It's like an automatic it's an autobot that would send
you an email. Anytime someone is attempting to make changes
to the record of the estate that you own, you'll do.
You'll get an email. It'll say, hey, you know, we've
(25:05):
got a transaction started regarding your property at one two
three Main Street. Then you would know, Okay, something's going on.
I need to go down to the county. That is
available in more and more counties. I'm hearing that is
being rolled out kind of nationwide. I'm not sure that
that's enough though, right because maybe you don't see that email,
(25:25):
or maybe you don't see it in time. So if
you are someone that is a real estate lawyer in particular,
and you know about this, send me an email. I
want to bring you on. I want to talk about
this because this is just going crazy and it seems
nuts to me that it would be so easy for
people to be able to steal a deed to a home.
(25:45):
Email Meet James Elparis at gmail dot com James ol
Paris at gmail dot com and we'll close it out
on this episode with this. Over two million illegal aliens
allegedly have been given Social Security numbers. And why is
this significant? Because if you're here in the US, even
(26:07):
if you're here legally, my understanding is that you would
get what's called a ten ti N taxpayer identification number,
but not a Social Security number. Why is this a
huge deal? Because once someone has a Social Security number,
I believe that then opens up the door for them
(26:29):
to potentially become a voter, and then they could vote
without actually being a legit citizen. It could also open
up the door to Social Security benefits which they would
not necessarily be entitled to, in particular if they're here illegally.
So it's something that is being investigated. Also, this was
(26:54):
regard This was discovered by Doge. Another thing discovered by doge.
Over two million legal aliens have social Security numbers. Insanity.
All right, thank you so much for joining us. Good
to be back doing these on a regular basis, and
I love your feedback. If you have a topic you'd
like me to address or a question, drop me an
(27:15):
email to James Elpeis at gmail dot com. Thanks so
much for listening. We'll talk to you next time. So long, everybody,
