The final episode of "Juskow in the City" but don't worry (cause I can tell you're worried) - we'll be back in the fall with a new name and an edgier podcast. It'll be hip and youthful and lots of animal acts. I only wish I could actually provide that. Yeah, it'll probably be the same BUT. . . whatcha gonna do. Thanks for listening for 529 episodes (and counting) when you combine all things Juskow. (All things Juskow will not ...

Oh god, it's true. I went into 4 different, maybe 5 different restaurants/coffee shops this week and none of them had air. Now that I think about it, even a Walgreens downtown had fans blowing. WTF!! Ironically, going from extreme heat to extreme cold did get me sick so, I guess I'll just have to move. This week, going to see Sam Morril and Rachel Feinstein in Red Bank with the Mayor of Red Bank of course AND a big Comedy Cell...

It was the 80's -- and supermodels were taking chances on Billy Joel looking kids like myself. This is one of those stories. Plus, my mom and new John Lennon gossip that spread through the neighborhood.

I just found out that one of my young stand-comedy friends has been doing stand-up for 13 years. I thought she had been doing it for possibly 5. This changes everything which led me discuss where you should be in stand-up comedy timeline and why you should give up if you haven't met the right friends yet. It's brutal truth time. AND, another soaking wet feet day. Ugh.

This week we get to meet "Hacks" Jean Smart and see her incredible performance in a one woman show on Broadway. Hey, she's alright. After that we go where all the elite Broadway crowd goes as the Roastmaster and me take advantage of his coming to Broadway. After that it's another memorial for that awful club owner, but. . . it's always podcast gold so I keep going. This time was no exception as the kosher restaurant luncheon a...

Today, besides a little housekeeping, we are discussing the band Survivor. I know, why? Well, turns out their creator Jim Peterik is quite an interesting guy and has written a bunch of hits you didn't realize - which, of course, is my favorite thing to teach -- as a professor. Be prepared to be not completely amazed but more like, oh wow - I didn't know that. Which I'm good with ๐Ÿ˜€

Today on the show we attend a memorial service for one of the most disliked men in comedy, Al Martin. It's true. He had alot of haters BUT he outlasted most of the comedy clubs in New York City AND, most importantly, it turned out I was the most famous person to attend (after Marina Franklin left for the bathroom) ๐Ÿ˜‰. Then I got a new muffler for my car. I mean, what a podcast! ๐Ÿ˜„

Hello all. Today on a most exciting episode of Juskow in the City we talk about the Big Event at the Comedy Cellar that went spectacularly well (although you'd never know from the video of me doing comedy - which you can see if you're on patreon ๐Ÿ˜…). But everything the Comedy Cellar did to sabotage the show backfired and everyone was happy including the audience, the comics and the wait staff - and probably the Comedy Cellar eventu...

Welcome back everyone and I hope you all had a great holiday weekend. So this week I had an old school weekday party on Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday was comedians day as I watched the New York Knicks lose to the Indiana Pacers at comedian Sam Morril's apartment with guest stars Chris DeStefano, Mike Veccione, Todd Barry and Rachel Feinstein. And Thursday was musician day as we had a lovely shin dig down on Wall Street to celebr...

Well it's been a bleak week BUT obviously we have our Larry David and Albert Brooks clips to keep our spirits up. I've been talking to a friend who turns out is IN Defending Your Life - AND my favorite scene - so . . . that's incredible. And, I got my car window fixed, so now I can go around saying, "Hey Babe, be back to pick you up later." I live a full life.

What a wonderful Wednesday it was here in NYC as I fully took advantage of living here and got the luxury of seeing 2 Broadway shows in one day. First our friend Josh Harmon and his new comedy drama "We Had a World", which was fantastic. Then 3 hours later, dinner with David Yazbek (the day before he was nominated for a Tony Award) and then his new musical "Dead Outlaw" as it moved to Broadway from the Off-Broadway theatre I h...

My Car got upgraded to a new garage on the 4th floor with a window and now has a better view then I do from my apartment. This City is dumb. The Comedy Cellar held their annual Xmas party this week - is that the hilarity, having it in April, cause it's not that funny? But. . . Also, the fun times as Sarah Silverman performs right next door to the University and the big nickelodeon star that usurped Sarah - in a hilarious way of c...

This week everywhere I went they were out of Johnny Walker Black. It seems wherever I go, they're out of whatever I want. What's that about? Also, we had to send a steak back at another crummy snobatorium AND I had to tip a guy pumping gas for getting me my missing gas cap back that he lost. Classic!

This week opens with a waitress at Chili's (yes you heard right) who was a complete Debbie Downer and got fired in the middle of serving us. HELLO!! Classic. Also, the two brits that saved Christmas (or what we call Russ Meneve's birthday party) thanks to Nick Griffin, who will be replaced by a new younger model. ALL will be explained in this exciting episode of Juskow in the City - 2025 Tax Edition. ๐Ÿ˜‰

This week on the podcast my mother is 20 minutes late to my lecture on how horrible a mother she is, but granted it went on for about four hours so she just missed years 3-7. Then, it's tough parking in NYC so my new parking garage will become the worst place to park come Christmas as it is directly across from the Rockefeller Center Xmas Tree. AND, a big night out on Tuesday that cost about $1,000. It's not that normal, BUT, it'...

This week on Juskow in the City alot of time spent in the East Village of New York, which I don't normally spend time in BUT, 2 outstanding times with just minor annoyances - especially rain since I wanted to break in my waterproof backpack - except I forgot to get a waterproof jacket. Also a Mark Normand documentary opening that was quite interesting and my mother's next door neighbor of 20 years has no idea who my mother is sinc...

This week after making the right choice to see a Broadway star friend in a play, it turns out to be an embarrassing wrong choice. Also, take your half marathons and shove 'em! And still, apparently my 30 year old backpack isn't waterproof, the 40 year old movie "Labyrinth" and the 50 year old friend's game show he invented and still doesn't know the rules. Hilarious!

Today on the show I get to meet the greatest soap opera star of all time Susan Lucci. Then, it's a big fund raiser for the next Mayor of New York City (who wouldn't come out from behind a bush). And finally, a trip on Amtrak to Albany (the smelliest place on earth - that includes Amtrak) to appear in a movie that I can only hope finishes filming with me in Key West. Oy. All and all one heck of a week in Juskow in the City land....

For a show called Juskow in the City (being New York City) we certainly do spend an awful lot of time in New Jersey, well this week, for some reason, it's all about Connecticut. I was there twice this week and I must say, it was some pretty sweet magic. First stop, Greenwich - where the old producer of the David Letterman show has a yearly Ice Hockey shin dig that was kind of incredible. Then New Haven, the home of Yale Universi...
