Speaker 1 (00:01):
The following Here's a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com
and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. Howdy Howdy, Cowboys Nation,
(00:22):
We're back for another in the Buffle, your one stop
shop to all things Das Cowboys Cheerleaders Training Camp twenty twenty. Ay,
this is going to be an action past podcast for
you today. God some amazing, incredible members of the Dallas
(00:42):
Cowboys Cheerleaders. They are experienced, they are fun, they aren't
keer to provide you with everything you need to know.
Starting us off from Baton Rouge Louisiana, Can I get
a ghost? Tigers guys, Another long day in the bubble,
but we are ready to meet Whoa, Whoa. We're glad
(01:05):
to have this test here. She's one of our other
fifth years that is auditioning for her spot on. Then
that's lucky to have you joining us for hopefully in
the fifth year. Obviously, you're such a great aspect to
this team and we love having her leadership here. Um
also joining us, we got Brianna. Hello, tell us about
(01:28):
you where you're from? This is your first time hanging
out with the Brad. I know I've liked been late
to the party. She's actionably late to the party, but
with that lacome dave us, I feel like I've been
here the whole time. Um I miss two Dallas from
Nashville about four years ago, tried out for DCC. I
work in human resources. Just I feel like thays through
all the other certin station You're like, oh, that's all
(01:53):
the surface level stuffy later all right. Also, she's a
repeat contender here on Boots in the Bubble, bringing her
back because she's always good with us. We got Shandy again,
Nice to be back. We're glad to have you. Um
(02:13):
And speaking of Shawnny, she's like, I'm gonna call her
like our food critic. She's constantly on us, like what
she's hungry for? So I know that what we all
got some favor. Yes, it'll be here right after this
and in a munch my dinner and right Sewandi in favor. Yeah,
(02:41):
all the good stuff coming by favor. Well, I will
not keep you all very long today. I'll let you
be able to get to that. Um. So, to start
us off, we had an exciting day happen on UM
on Sunday, you guys had you know so media days
and we do a full movie training. Usually it's rookies
(03:02):
in media training, but this year was different and veterans
were included. Now, I will preface this with I feel
like as a Dasco Wish cheerleader, you're ready for a
camera to be in your faith at all times. So
usually when we're an ox Star for training camp, it's like,
and there's a person asking you a question or something. So, Brianna,
I want to know, what is the hardest question that
(03:25):
you've ever been asked during media days? Oh? I actually
it was probably this year in my rookie year. I
don't know why I keep getting these types of questions,
but Scott asked me how would I describe the kick
line to a blind person? And my rookie year got
how would you describe the uniform to a blind person?
(03:46):
And I feel like those questions are so there's not
a right or wrong answer, but it can go downhill
very quickly and literally will catch yourself five minutes later
still rambling on. It's just like word vomit at that point.
So I would literally rather someone ask me, like, what's
my plan to pull treats out at the Middle East
in six months? Because I mean there's very definite steps
(04:09):
in that versus kind of like so many personality and
go downhill and very quickly rot. It's blacked when someone's like, um,
if you had to pick a color crayon that represents you,
what would it be? If you're like, I don't know,
pain whatever exactly, And then you get out of there
and you're like, did I you don't remember what you said? Really?
(04:31):
But I just remember I kept thinking of like the
words I said, and I'm like, I don't think I
made a whole sentence while I was in there during
that question, but I'm gonna keep my fingers cross. That's
funny you think black out and kind of be like
whoa yes. When you leave, you never know, like it
(04:51):
was it good? Was it? Like you know, if there's
like what's the president of the United States? And couldn't
answer that? But anything else gets a little tricky ra um.
But other than that, Shandie Media days went well. I
went good, bad, thumbs up, good, bad, ugly, any of it.
I mean it was good. You know, you go into it,
you study all these things like everything, world football and everything,
(05:15):
and you can get in there and you can block
out and if you recover, you recover or you go
in there and you study so hard and you get
asked like what's your most prized possession? You're like, you
don't want to ask me about what's happening in the
world right now? Like that's all I look to myself.
So I think that's kind of like what a media
day is all about them. I mean, they just want
to get to know you and see how you can
(05:37):
speak on camera. Right. So, Tess and your experience with
media days, like how important is it to be prepared
and be on your toes for any question, like, like
she said, ranging from football to what's going on in
current events and everything in between. I think, you know,
we've all been on the craziest appearance, such a wide
(05:58):
variety of appearances appearances, and you never know who you're
going to meet or what they want to talk about.
And you know, when people get a few minutes with
us or get to speak with us, you want to
leave a lasting impression, whether it be about going along
with our football team or what's going on in the world.
And I think media day is really good practice because
I think we've all been and kind of think on
(06:20):
your toes situations at one point or another. This one
was unique. It's a little bit different than panel that
you have to stand when you speak. Oh and sometimes
that can bring out, you know, different little ticks or
things that we do that help us remember things or
you know, like you don't know what you're gonna do
when you're saying, you might be fiddling with your watch
(06:42):
or what's going to happen. But I think that was
another little test to like how poys can standing and speaking.
That was just a little bit different than past panel
interviews that we've done. Yeah, so, like you said, they've
combined all of the They've combined the U this the
audition process and training camp process. So now it was
(07:03):
like panel interviews, which normally happens like I said in
May before they even announced training camp and media days,
that happens in the heart of training camp and slapped
this one which has really been this whole and bubble
thing that's been happening. Which actually, it's funny that you
said about your chicks, because I just noticed when you
were saying that I was twisting my pink hearing and
I haven't really about to have it of doing that.
(07:24):
I need to stop. Anyways, back to what I was saying,
so Um, this whole process is like a mashup of
auditions and training camp. So let's see, Brianna this what
has been so different about this writing me like what
normally are we doing right now? Or is what we're
actually doing right now? Yeah? So normally I think it's
(07:44):
the first couple of preseason games. They know, a lot
of them excited about possibly going to Canton this year
for probably first stealers. So yeah, on everyone's like snapchat memory.
Recently it's been meet the teams and so just thinking
about to missing those great memories and those milestones. But
(08:04):
right now we're wrapping up training campus smily, which is
so weird because it's the middle of August and normally,
for the most part, I feel like we're normally done
with it in the past few weeks that weeks, so
I feel like everyone is definitely like in the home stretch,
you see the light at the end of the tunnel,
but it feels so far away, like you are like
(08:27):
crawling to the light. You're not running towards it, You're
crawling towards it, right which, and you know there's usually
those little mothstones like I don't even think we've announced
group leaders yet, which is so crazy, and that's kind
of like a new thing that we've kind of went through.
I mean, says a lot about the veteran class that
you all have, is that as a group, you guys
(08:48):
have kind of been leaders. But I think Kelly Junior
sort of waiting on that to like make it special.
And they've got so much on their plate trying to
create a team in three weeks essentially, you know, So
that's crazy. So and speaking of having so much on
your plate, you guys are dancing from the time you
wake up the time you go to bed, essentially. UM,
(09:08):
I want to know because obviously I'm out of the bubble. Surprise,
I had to leave. Um a former cheerleader had a
really special event that I needed to be part of.
So I'm I'm escaped the bubble and I miss you guys.
I'm glad that I'm still getting like keep in touch. Um.
But the first person whenever I let us, like, there's
(09:32):
always someone that I'm on the phone with and like,
for me, it's my mom. But you have to have
that like check back in person that keeps you grounded
in the middle of all the crazy. So, Tess, who
is the first person that you call after rehearsal after
a long day of just physical and dual strain. Yeah,
(09:52):
I think what you're saying. To have connection on the
outside and literally for us the outside world, train camp
sometimes does seem like a bubble in itself. It's every day.
It takes over your whole life. But now instead of
going back home at the end of the day, you
just take the elevator up to your room. The last
phone call I actually had was with my dad. I
(10:15):
always talked him to prep from a panel interview, and
I called him. I told him, you know, tomorrow's the
big day. We have media day, and you know, what
are some questions you think you would ask if you
were on panel? And you know, my dad is super
involved in sports. My brother is playing football this year
for his first year of college, so I know that
they are completely up to date on anything. He definitely
(10:38):
helped me prep for media day. So for me, it's
it's my dad. Oh oh, sweet Dad. The brass is
always good. They keep everything just so like even kilter,
just film. It's like that I know, I'm you know,
we're over here panicking. He's like, it's okay, it's just
a little in few so rot love Dad's good dad stuff. Well,
(11:08):
I do call my mom. She is someone that I
can just talk to you, like you don't have to
talk about rehearsal and just talk about normal things. And
but if I don't call her, I usually call brion
Alana because room we get back to them. So I'm like, hi, guys,
like what's up. Just like eight hours, I'm like YEAHO. So,
(11:29):
like I just talk more so my mom or them,
those are that's a good combos and Mom. It's hard
because you're not in the same groups. And normally, like
during training camp, roll in the same room so you
can see everyone here, the feedback everyone's getting or you
see if people are shining or maybe like meeting a
(11:51):
lot of extra love. Um, So now you just kind
of have to like rely on telephone, Like how'd your group?
That's true, So, Bree, who's your first person and your
go too? Yes, probably my mom. Lately it's in my
grandmother's like the morning though, like they're morning people, but
normally them and then like it's literally like a Lana
PC Brennan, Shawnnie. It's kind of we're all in separate
(12:14):
groups too, so we kind of just download with each other,
and Shawnnie and I are crossed the hall from each other,
so we like sit in our doors with our masks
on and like, hey, how are you doing? Like what's
doing annoying? Like not talking about either and talking about
like whatever, sorry, repeat that you're good, You're fine, You're
(12:37):
tally okay, because we can always like I think Matt
can go back and cut that, so shot one more time.
I'm gonna ask you, like, who's the first d you call?
And he can yeah, okay, okay, So Bree, who is
your go to? Yes, normally it's my mom. Normally by
the time we get out, she's asleep, so I'll just
text her and I normally hear from her in the morning. Um,
(12:58):
but as far as phone calls, either like Shaundy or
Lana or Britty. You see, we're all pretty much on
the same all and so we're all in different groups.
And it's a little different this year because normally in
training camp we're all in the same studio together, so
you can kind of see like who is killing it,
who maybe needs a little extra love in that? Okay. Um,
so you kind of got to get the download from everyone. Um,
(13:20):
and then after that for like five minutes you to
talk about basically like what you're gonna eat. That's I
feel like that's always this is what we're gonna eat
and what time are we up? What time should we
eat to go downstairs for breakfast? For breakfast goes from
one meal to the next. Yes, and that has me
(13:41):
remembering that we all had favor So I'm gonna let
you go because now it is time to go eat
um and then think about what you're gonna eat for
breakfast and then maybe like something after that. Thank so,
thank you guys so much. Wait what miss you? I know,
promise you guys so much. We're bringing on and soon
(14:04):
until then all the FaceTime called that I can get
these little chats I can to have with you guys.
Keep you keep me young, right right. So also for
y'all watching, we have this many boots in the bubbles
books almost bubbled out here. We are fizzed up to
(14:27):
the top. We are about to have our team, and
we want to know your questions for our one of
our last couple of days in the bubble fingers crossed,
So leave your we need to know what you want
to know to hopefully answer and help you better understand
this new training camp process in twenty twenty for the
dask I Boys cheerleaders, also tag your favorite cheerleader, put
(14:51):
her name in there, wish her best of luck because
these girls are working trying to make this team in
the middle of a crazy time. Soon, all the love
and luck that you can and we will see you
on another knot of beIN the bubble. Thank you, guys,
Thank you. This has been a production of Dallas Cowboys
dot Com and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.
