Speaker 1 (00:01):
The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com
and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
Palti Cowboys. Thank you man Cash here, and welcome to
the very first Boots in the Bubble.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
Each day we'll be chatting with your favorite Dallas Cowboys
cheerleaders so you can get an inside scoop of what
is going on here in the bubble. It's crazy that
we're actually being able to be here in the midst
of everything. So, without further ado, I'm going to welcome
you all and introduced the databy cheerleaders that we have
gone with to today.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
To start us off, We've got Alana.

Speaker 4 (00:52):
Hello, guys, my name is Alana. I am originally from Woodier, California.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
I am twenty five years old, and I'm so excited
to be in the bubble.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
We're so glad that you're with us in the bubble,
all right.

Speaker 1 (01:09):
Next up we have got joining us today is Kristen.

Speaker 6 (01:13):
Hey, guys, I'm Christian, I'm twenty six years old and
I'm from Albuquerque, Mexto.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
And my favorite ice cream is coffee with orange.

Speaker 2 (01:24):
Ya give me all the fields right now. That sounds good.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
Let's see adding to our fun little chit check. Today
we've got Amanda.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Hi everyone, I'm Amanda.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
I am twenty four years old originally from Pennsville, New Jersey,
and I will be.

Speaker 4 (01:44):
Twenty five at the end of this month.

Speaker 3 (01:47):
I've especially hit my mid twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:51):
Woo early birthday.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Girl, start celebrating now, just the whole month, right. And
then last and far not least, our favorite and yours,
Miss Shandy.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Hello, I'm Shandy.

Speaker 7 (02:09):
I'm twenty three years old from Ora Valley, Arizona, and
my favorite food French fries hands down.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Gosh me that all this hungry or are we just hungry?
Aren't candecide? We're all just ready to eat here in
the bubble. So to get us kind of.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Started, I want to talk about obviously this is brand
new to everybody involved, right, so you guys have been
through at least well Kristin, Amanda and Shawndy y'all have
been through one training camp already, and then Alana, you've
been through two. This is your third training camp. So
maybe you start us off, and then we'll hear from

(02:49):
our new second year candidates on how they think, you
know this year is going, uh, what it's like kind
of compared to last year.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
Do you like it? Do you not give us the skinny?

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Right?

Speaker 5 (03:01):
So, I mean today's our first day, so we've just
taught here and the rookies have been here for a
little bit a few more days than us. So I
almost had a little fomo because stuff on social media
like I want to be there.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
I want to dance with my friends.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
So today was awesome.

Speaker 5 (03:18):
But being in the bubble is just so cool and
it's so different than what we're used to. Training camps
in the past years can span up to three months
and so it is just a long process that you
are constantly working every day towards.

Speaker 4 (03:33):
So this one's just condensed.

Speaker 5 (03:34):
So now it's like, oh, we have to put a
team together in a very short amount of But I
love it.

Speaker 4 (03:40):
I just I mean, I'm happy to be here.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
You're able to do a bubble tect us to keep
us safe and day.

Speaker 8 (03:48):
What almost done?

Speaker 2 (03:50):
Yeah, you can check that one off your list.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
Like it's crazy too to think about Kerry and Judy
make these decisions over span of three months and they're
doing it in a span of what I mean, we've
got maybe three weeks almost.

Speaker 2 (04:03):
It's crazy.

Speaker 6 (04:03):
Rat, I know, I job, Yeah, no, they can keep that.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
All right, Christian, give us your skinning this year. Do
you lock it? You not lock it? What do you
you got? What do you miss? Or trying to camp? Lastly,
that you wish you had this year.

Speaker 8 (04:22):
Honestly, I'm with Alana.

Speaker 6 (04:24):
I think it's really nice having everything condense to two
and a half weeks, because it's like, if I can
make it for three months, I can make it to
see it, and so that's that's nice. The only thing
that I don't really like is some thing to learn
dances from videos. It's a little bit more, especially when
pographers like tonight, it's kind of hard.

Speaker 8 (04:44):
When you're not like vibing off each other in the room.

Speaker 6 (04:46):
But it is nice, like having more space to practice
because we're split up in rooms and so I feel
like it's a little bit less stressful when we're actually
learning to dance, which is kind of nice.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
Yeah, you bring up a great point about learning from videos.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
I don't think people understand how crazy it is to try,
like the difference between really like, like you said, that
feeling like the energy from the choreography and that whatever
vibe they bring into the room and stuff like how
important that is when you're learning and then trying to
like find that in yoursels, like talk about internal motivation.

Speaker 4 (05:21):
That's here.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
R Wow, good point, geez, that's good. All right, Amanda,
give it to us.

Speaker 8 (05:30):
All right.

Speaker 3 (05:30):
So I definitely thought you two, I'm gonna have.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
The idea of what's happening and now.

Speaker 3 (05:38):
Glue you walk through this. CCS don't worry about what
you're doing with you too, which is kind of crazy feeling,
but I love it because you're not comfortable. It really
is like your first day of camp again when you
are just having it, trying to do your absolute best

(05:59):
and stuff with everything that we've learned, because we've had
time to learn off the videos, so we don't really
get that great spirit of oh we'll figure it out,
we'll sleep on it. We've left on it, we've left
on it for a mother. Honestly, I love it.

Speaker 1 (06:16):
I love it.

Speaker 4 (06:17):
I don't have to worry about the outside the world
right now.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
There are so many distractions, but what it really just
is a bubble. I don't look at myself, I don't
worry about what I'm doing because it's provided. So side
is fine and saying hi, and it's the safest environment
to just learn and buy with your friends are so
I love it.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
So you're into the bubble. You're a bubble girl.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
You are a bubble girl. Okay, Shandy, give us the
real talk here. We know you'll be honest with us.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
Come on, Okay, No, I.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Really love the bubble.

Speaker 7 (06:58):
I think Amanda brought up a really great about just
like being in our own little space, not in the
real world.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
You don't have to deal with any of.

Speaker 7 (07:06):
That right now, and I love knowing that, Like people
are across the hall for me or right next to me.
I'm like, Okay, my friends are still here, Like even
though I can't see them the way I want to,
I know they're like right there and I'm not.

Speaker 4 (07:18):
Going home like I wish my friends were here.

Speaker 7 (07:21):
But I think you guys have done a great job
with providing such a safe space for us, and we
are just so like, this is amazing that we even
get to do this.

Speaker 8 (07:30):
So I'm for the bubble.

Speaker 7 (07:31):
And I love food, so having food provided inside it's.

Speaker 2 (07:36):
Perfect for me.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
So thank you.

Speaker 1 (07:39):
Rot. It is pretty nude, I will say, is you know,
as far as training camp goes, we're used to being
rushed from work and thrown straight into rehearsal, and then
you don't know when you're gonna be done, and you're.

Speaker 2 (07:51):
Trying to balance that like that.

Speaker 1 (07:55):
Part time job, real time job, your cheerleader job, and
you're you're outside live those relationships, and it does all
those distractions that can get into your head while you're
in training camp, they do kind of disappear while you're here.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
You know. So that's actually so what we all vote.
We're pro bubble.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
Yes, I am secretly hoping Kelly and Judy love this
and keep.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
It going.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Right.

Speaker 2 (08:23):
It's like, make sure we'll just figure out a new
way to bubble. Maybe just make it a big bubble.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
That way we can maybe include some more of our
friends into our bubble. Yeah, well good, I'm glad that
you all are liking it though so far.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
So I got to.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
Spend a week without you guys and just our rookie candidates,
and let me tell you all the energy that you
guys brought to the studio today.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I'm like, you can tell that you guys have been
on the.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
Field with each other before that you guys are all
super experienced. What was one thing that y'all really noticed
about the like the training campaigndidates versus you all today,
whenever you're able to kind of like dance back and
forth with each other a little bit, like, you know,
tell me that, especially the three new second years, Like
what was.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
That feeling to get your first dance in blue? You
know pink ever.

Speaker 8 (09:17):
I'll start, I felt so much energy.

Speaker 6 (09:23):
I actually done a little emotional and cheered up because
it's such a special experience. And I remember being intimidated
by the VET my first dancing with them, But the
rookies have been telling me like, we're so happy you
guys are here. So much better hearing that.

Speaker 8 (09:42):
Positive like information is it's so good.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
And so being able to dance in blue was like, yeah,
like feels it home.

Speaker 1 (09:53):
Yeah, for sure. Am I gonna were you gonna say something?

Speaker 3 (10:00):
I was just going to say that meeting, you know,
all of the rookie candidates for the first time, they
were definitely a little bit more reserved, and.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
I mean us three were last year as well.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
But we were watching them dance at just the cheering
rough veterans for those girls, it just really it reminds.

Speaker 4 (10:21):
You why we do what we do, because to.

Speaker 3 (10:23):
Answer that, whether they are on or not, going through.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
This experience just bonds like no other.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
What's the respect for them?

Speaker 3 (10:32):
They all, like you could see their shoulders just like relaxed,
like Okay, I'm here to do what I love and
let's just kill it right.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
No, you're right.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
There was that huge energy ship and you're all that
clapping forum and stuff, and you know. The the cool
thing to watch too, is that even though you guys
are you know, socially distanced in that studio, it's this
like sense of connection that like dance kind of brings
to the table. Really, it's like, in this moment that
everyone's so far apart and the unknown that's kind of
going on, we all kind of are in this together,

(11:05):
and so it really does make for a cool environment.
So speak of being in this together, I've got to
bring up probably what I think is the best part
about this whole process, and.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
That is y'all's boot buddies.

Speaker 1 (11:17):
So without telling us who they are, I want y'all
to kind of tell us what a boot buddy is first,
you know, like, is it just another prayer, like is
it the left foot to your right, or like what
you know, tell us about your about the boot buddy,
and then give us maybe like one thing that you've
learned about your boot buddy without telling us, like who

(11:38):
your boot buddy is?

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Aloni want to start totally.

Speaker 5 (11:42):
So boot buddies is just somebody a vet gets a
rookie hopeful and someone that they have to go to
for any questions or concerned or learning different dances and styles.
So it's almost just like a little a little buddy,
a little short which is absolutely amazing.

Speaker 4 (12:02):
My rookie year started it actually, so I'm not going
to tell.

Speaker 2 (12:07):
You who they are, box, but I have a huge.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Boot buddy family. There is six of us. Yeah gosh,
I mean from my rookie year. My can I can
I say?

Speaker 2 (12:21):
Who are Yeah?

Speaker 5 (12:23):
So Mattie, Me and Hannah and then Hannah and I
both made the team and then after that we got cats,
so then there was four of us and now we
have two more.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
So we have a huge boot buddy family. And it's
just been so fun because I feel like they.

Speaker 5 (12:37):
Have like so many girls who learn from talk to
get different tips and stuff, and ours are so sweet.
I mean, I don't want to say anything to share,
but it was the sweetest thing.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
I had just gone into the hotel, into the bubble.

Speaker 5 (12:50):
And I had closed my door started unpacking and I
got a knockout door and I was like, oh, who's that?
And I opened the door and they were like hiding
in different corners, and I was.

Speaker 4 (13:01):
Like, I got so excited. I was so excited to
meet them.

Speaker 5 (13:04):
Finally we did a lot of like face timing and
texting and like different things to help them prepare to
get here, but finally meeting them in person was probably
the greatest thing ever.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
So very excited.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Fun stuff.

Speaker 1 (13:19):
Shandi tell us about maybe like something that you've shared
with your boot buddy that has like that's going to
help her get through this training camp process.

Speaker 8 (13:29):
Yes, so I.

Speaker 7 (13:30):
Feel like the biggest advice I was given by mine,
he's free. It's just basically for yourself, Like you're here
for a reason, you were picked to be in training
camp for a reason. Just go out there, do your best,
have fun, and just like be confident.

Speaker 8 (13:46):
And I think my boot buddy is really great at that.

Speaker 7 (13:50):
You first, sweet, I love her and she's a little
bit quiet like I am, so obviously we work great
together and we love the same things.

Speaker 8 (13:59):
So knowing that, I think, just knowing.

Speaker 7 (14:02):
That she has someone that's kind of similar to her
in his process, and just someone that she can go
to has helped her a lot.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah, all right, Kristen, tell us maybe one thing that.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Or I know, have you all done this sock exchange yet?
No bombers?

Speaker 3 (14:21):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (14:22):
Shoot o guys with that? What kind of socks did
you get your bottom? But you were gonna get socks
for your buddy? What would they be?

Speaker 8 (14:30):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (14:31):
I would probably get.

Speaker 8 (14:36):
Have you ever seen bar socks? How they have a
little squishies at the bottom.

Speaker 6 (14:39):
Oh yeah, I would probably get some tied die bar
socks because I love bar class and they're perfect for
like stretching and stuff.

Speaker 8 (14:47):
Say, well, you don't slip. That's probably what kind of
i'd get?

Speaker 2 (14:51):
Nice, functional and efficient. I'm about it here for it,
all right.

Speaker 1 (14:56):
Amanda, tell us one thing about your boot buddy. Maybe
here's something that you've a pret shade about the boot
Brady boot, boot boots, bubbles, buddies, all of it.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
Tell us something about it?

Speaker 1 (15:07):
All right?

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Well, I was so lucky to get Gmail last year,
and she's just set the positive light and I just
look at her like I need your energy. So she
always keeps me going, has ours to fighting a dish
perfect She is so beautiful and so so sweet.

Speaker 2 (15:27):
But I've learned that she has never mad to this
video before.

Speaker 3 (15:31):
Oh what. I cannot wait to see her face when
she finally walks out there and just gets that feeling
because it is such a rush.

Speaker 8 (15:41):
So I'm excited to be there for it.

Speaker 2 (15:43):
Oh geez, game changer right there.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Okay, Yeah, you're definite gonna have to hold her hand
and like walk her out of that like rolling door.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
You know she's gonna be like is shaken. I know,
like we are probably work oh so boo.

Speaker 1 (15:56):
Buddies are probably like your benefart obviously, But other than
bringing your boot buddy into the bubble, I know y'all
all had to come in with something that.

Speaker 2 (16:05):
You could not leave at home.

Speaker 1 (16:07):
So I want to know what was your essential item
that you brought to either mind you at home or
something that you could not leave outside of the bubble,
Like if you were coming in the bubble, it was
coming with you. Let's see, Shawnee, tell us what you brought.

Speaker 7 (16:24):
Okay, we have established I loved food, so clearly I
had to bring my favorite popcorn with me because I
didn't know who were going to have it here, or
like anything to make my popcorn popcorn and the coffee.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
Nice.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Oh good point.

Speaker 1 (16:45):
I brought my coffee pot with me too. I was like,
I need I can't do no one cup Currie. I
gotta have a whole pot to myself. I needed morning, noon,
all the time, all the times.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Coffee time. Okay, seat Alana, what is your bubble essential? Okay?

Speaker 5 (17:04):
I think I have two so similar to Shandy, all
about the food and the snacks. This going so you
should see in my little Nightstan, I'm like docked with popcorn,
candy hits, all.

Speaker 7 (17:16):
The that I need.

Speaker 4 (17:18):
But my second thing was something sweet.

Speaker 5 (17:20):
My mom mailed me a little letter and a little
stone with a Bible verse on it.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
And so she was just sweet because she was wishing
me luck and she wished she could be here.

Speaker 5 (17:31):
Or be in Texas to wish me, send me off,
wish me well things that I have next to me
on my nights, and to.

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Remind me of my family's love and them rooting me
on from home.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
So sweet.

Speaker 8 (17:46):
There's a crumbled cheer in.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
Section in your room, right, you know. And that's the
kind of stuff that makes you stay motivated throughout this process.

Speaker 1 (17:55):
Like those not that are hard and long and you're tired,
and you're just exhausted mentally, physics. When you see that
kind of stuff, that's like, oh, that's.

Speaker 2 (18:04):
That fuel that you need. It's the best.

Speaker 1 (18:06):
You're right, totally right, Amanda. Give us your Bubbleicious Essential.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Perfect.

Speaker 3 (18:12):
Well, I hate to go after Alana because I did
not bring anything sent to mychal.

Speaker 2 (18:18):
I did bring.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
The first thing I brought is a little bit boujie.

Speaker 2 (18:22):
I have my coffee bean grinder. I brought fresh.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
French press, so I got the fresh fresh coffee, and
then I have my really fuzzy's.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Oh it's kay, I need it.

Speaker 1 (18:39):
Well, yeah that is key, especially like those ballrooms are
kind of cold.

Speaker 2 (18:44):
Yeah, oh yeah, I thought so too. I was kind
of like shake in. Then I was like cash yall r.
I was like, it's either the coffee or this cold.
I don't know one or the other. Okay, this side, Christen,
what's your bubble Essential?

Speaker 6 (18:57):
First of all, love coffee, and I'm really disappointed did that.
I didn't, But now I know it's going to go
get it from. Definitely Amanda's fresh, freshly ground up fresh
like French press coffee.

Speaker 8 (19:09):
Kind of hitch up for that, Amanda. But I brought.
It's also a blanket.

Speaker 6 (19:14):
I really like things that it like are cozy, kind
of like reminds me of home when I'm just comfortable.
And then I also brought this lavender pillows. I was like,
spray some lavender and go right to sleep.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
Yeah amazing.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
You know after we after you like dancing that hard
kind of light It not it's hard to wind down.

Speaker 2 (19:37):
It is so that lavender, Miss mature.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
Just spirt sprits and then it's often sweet dreams, girl.

Speaker 8 (19:44):
I do anybody can borrow it around.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
I'm a spray it on Kelly and Gdy's little pillow
chair and there's yeah, half the halfway through practice, I'll
just speak.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
Melting chair. I might lose my job after that, so
maybe not.

Speaker 1 (20:05):
Let's see quick round the little group here. I want
to know when you hear the word bubble or when
you heard the word bubble, what was the first thing
that popped into your heads as far as like training
camp goes, Like when you're like we're going into a bubble,
that's what was it? And that's gonna kind of like
get us, get us out of here, because I mean,
I want to know what y'all thought when you heard

(20:25):
the bubble, so want to get us going?

Speaker 2 (20:27):
One one word?

Speaker 4 (20:28):
Can I bring my dogs?

Speaker 2 (20:32):
Actually, that's a good one.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
You guys know Rocco is my little baby and he
is my sidekick.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
So at first I was like, what am I suposed
to do with him?

Speaker 4 (20:40):
But my best friend.

Speaker 5 (20:42):
Kelsey Michelle are taking care of him and they've been
sending me videos and pictures and he I feel like
he's so happy he's on vacach.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
So that was the first thing I thought of, was
what Rocko, are you gonna do?

Speaker 2 (20:53):
That's a that's a good one. I wish you'd brought
Rocco and everybody's on here.

Speaker 4 (20:56):
I know he would have loved all the notes after
just kisses rat.

Speaker 2 (21:02):
All right, Christians, first thing you thought of in your bubble?

Speaker 4 (21:06):
First thing I thought of was how the heck am
I gonna work my daughter a DCC?

Speaker 8 (21:12):
Like, how am I gonna do that? But luckily I
was a figure it out.

Speaker 4 (21:15):
I'm only working like four hours day, so my boss
was really flexible.

Speaker 1 (21:19):
So that's God bless good bosses. That's what we need,
all right, Amanda. First thing you thought of when your
herd bubble, I will.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
Be super honest.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
I said no.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
I said, there's no way that they can put this
together like this.

Speaker 8 (21:39):
There are just so many moving parts to it.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
And to have all of us girls plus brand new
girls coming in and flying in, I thought, sir, I
don't know how they could physically make me happen, But
you guys did at because this is amazing here.

Speaker 4 (21:56):
It's like a little vacation where I get to dance
for twelve hours.
