Speaker 1 (00:04):
The following is a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com
and the Dallas Cowboys Football Club. This is Just for Kicks,
broadcasting live from Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters at the Star
in Frisco. Now, your hosts, Judy Trammell, Hayley Anderson, and

(00:27):
Kelly Fenblass. Well, good afternoon, everybody. It is March thirtieth.
We are not broadcasting live from the Star World headquarters
at Frisco. We are all in our own places and spaces.
We are joined by Judy Trammell from home and Lexie

(00:48):
from home, and we're going to be hearing from Hayley
Anderson from her home as well. We're all separated like
you are, but we wanted to get together with our
friends and our families on this podcast because we've we've
enjoyed our time together. So Hi, Judy, Hi, Lexi, Okay, Hey, Kelly,
different ways oday, you know what. Honestly, just full disclosure, everybody.

(01:13):
This is our third attempt at making this podcast work.
We'd kind of tried to practice our technology yesterday and
it was all working, and then today it was sort
of working. And we've done this once, so now the
third time's the charm. The only unfortunate thing is on
this last attempt we've lost Haley. So Haley sent us

(01:34):
in a message and real quick, if we can listen
to Haley, she wants to hauler out and say hi
to us as well. Hey, girls, I wish I could
be there with you. Guys. This quarantine hasn't been crazy.
We started off on a spring break trip with my
brother as a senior year and my other brother, Shy,
is twenty five, so we had a great celebration, a

(01:54):
great week with them, and then unfortunately we're all now
stuck in quarantine, which it's great. I love it. My
family's have been great, so we're not killing each other yet,
but it's definitely has been a transition. There's been lots
of games. We've just started our clue game, real life Clue,
where you draw person places and a thing, and so

(02:16):
we are trying to figure out who killed what person
in the location with what item. It's been a fun experience.
It's been crazy being with grandparents and mom and my siblings.
We haven't really been spending this much time together and
I don't know how long, so it's been a great
bonding time. I know a lot of people are anxious
to get out of here and anxious to do our

(02:37):
own thing and see everybody, but we've loved every bit
of it. We've actually started to work out competition and
we have a peloton which has been keeping us all sane.
We've got my grandma on it for the first time.
She's done five classes in a row, so I'm so
proud of her, and got my cousin and my mom
all on it. So we're competing against each other and
having fun with it and while we can, but we're

(02:59):
hoping to get back to almost soon. I wish I
could be on with her longer. But I miss you
guys and talk to you guys soon. You know, like
Hayley said, I mean, what is normal anymore? None of
us really have a normal. It's really been interesting to
rediscover our houses, our families, our pets, our friends. JD.

(03:20):
What have you been doing during your quarantine. Oh, we've
been doing a lot of family Zoom. We did have
one day where all three of my kids and my
four grandkids got on Zoom and we had a little
forty minute session. But that's the only time I've seen
them since this has all happened. It's been. It's been

(03:42):
very interesting. I've learned I do not like to cook.
Now that I have to cook, it's a lot more
fun when you invite people over it. It's just more casual,
and now I just hate it. I'm ready to get
back to going out to eat and having some fun
time with friends, in quality family time, being able to

(04:06):
hug my grandkids. I'm missing that. I can tell and Lexie.
So for most of you all that do know or
don't know, Lexie is a third year veteran Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
She's a show group member. She's a second group leader
this season. And Lexi got married this year right during

(04:29):
our audition season and then probably had a brief honeymoon
and a full cowboy season and now she is quarantined
as a newlywed. So Lexie tell us what that's like.
So my honeymoon actually started with training camp, so we
didn't get to do a honeymoon. So this is the
most honeymoonlike thing that we've had, which is funny because

(04:52):
we've joked about how this has been the most time
that we've spent together in five years of dating and
engagement in marriage, but it's been a little of fun,
and we've done a lot of puzzles, a lot of games,
going on, a lot of walks, and one of my
favorite things that we've done. We recently moved after getting
married and didn't really know what we were getting ourselves into.

(05:14):
You know, our house was built in the sixties and
so we didn't know the demographic age group of the
neighbors around us. But we've been really lucky because we
have a group and about seven neighbors that are about
our age, four of which are pregnant right now, so
that'll be really fun in the future. But we've been
doing some social distancing lawn parties on our front yard,
sitting in some lawn chairs in the front and making

(05:37):
sure that we're far enough apart, but it's nice to
get a little bit of that social interaction, so that's
what we've been doing. There's a lot of walking going
around in my neighborhood as well, a lot of dog
walking bicycling. In fact, I kind of came up with
something funny this time. We're trying to social distance yet
walk our dogs. And now it's a perfect time if

(05:58):
you don't have a dog, because it's a great time
to try them, and I've taken extended dog walks and
I learned here's a trick. I'm going to be sharing
a lot of things about what I've learned about myself
and my house during this. But did you know that
you can get a full if you're going to take
a dog walk, you can get a full bottle of

(06:19):
wine in a yetti and you can leave, and you
can leave on your athlete. I know, I even took
a picture of it, but you can see behind me,
Sugar is making her debut performance and she is being
resistant right now. But she needs such heavy, high cardio

(06:39):
walks and runs. And that's a joke that I've been
taking her, no seriously, for my sanity. I've been taken
her for long, long walks. And we discovered that wine
and yettis go. Well, let's see, well what else? So Lexie,
what do you guys? You said you're doing games? What
kind of games y'all playing? So we just completed a

(07:02):
thousand piece puzzle and I discovered I'm not a puzzle
person because I just love my house to be clean,
and seeing that puzzle over there on my table kind
of just drag me crazy. So we ended up staying
up till two am finishing it just because I wanted
it off my table. But the fun game that we've discovered,
we've been playing Settlers. I think it's Settlers of Katan,

(07:22):
and we actually set it up through Zoom and we
were able to set up our board, and Grant's brother
and sister in law we're able to set up their
board and we're able to play back and forth. It
almost had like a battleship type feel just because we
were going back and forth. But that's been a lot
of fun, and it's nice to also be able to
see them. I learned how to play cards against Humanity.

(07:44):
I think that's the only wow. Yeah, it actually is.
I need to we need to do some Zoom game playing. Jennie,
what have you spent most of your time doing during
this quarantine period. I'm kind of just not getting myself together.
I think that the part of being a little nervous

(08:07):
about everything going on and missing family that I haven't
really gotten into anything yet. Yesterday I did start cleaning closets,
and I know, I rearranged the kids closet, up toys
and tried to clean up their bookshelf. And I'm going
to go room by room. I pulled the Easter decorations

(08:28):
out of the attic. We'll see how that goes. That's
next on my list, because even though we probably won't
have a family Easter, I still want the house to
be decorated. Graham, one of my grandsons, asked me that
on the phone, he goes, is your house decorated yet?
I was like, no, So I'm doing to do it
for them. And I know Easter decorations have always been

(08:48):
one of your highlights of your year. I know that
from when your kids were babies. I have. I kind
of went into overdrive on cleaning. I like you, though,
I you know, I had a hard time kind of
getting started at first because everything was just overwhelming, and
none of us knew at one point if we were
going to work or not. Now our offices are of

(09:10):
course closed, and all of our counties are sheltered. But
I have had a great time cleaning out my house.
I've been in my house for twenty three years now,
and so this is where my children were born. So
I'm finding all these just these treasures of things, a
lot of treasures from my kids. I've also had a
lot of clutter and a lot of crap, to be

(09:31):
honest with you, that's been in my house. But I'm
gonna show you. I made a little collection of things.
I'm gonna show it all fun First. One of the
one of the highlights was I found stuck. You know,
had drawers can get stuck some things behind them and
you can't get them to shut properly. I pulled I
finally pulled it out and I found this book that
Samantha made for me. It was called I Love I

(09:51):
Love my Mom, and it was a Mother's Day present,
and I just thought it was kind of funny because
she said things like my mom, mom takes care of
me when I have strapped throat. And I'm just laughing
at that size of that thermometer. It looks like your knife.
I know, I appreciated this. My mom is so funny

(10:14):
when she acts out jokes. So there's some things that
you know, I don't think you realize your kids pick
up on when they were little. Judy. I polished silver,
and not in the old fashioned sense, but I found
these silver wipes and I've been polishing. I found two
Super Bowl coins. You need to look for it. You've
got them too. Silver super Bowl coins. Yeah, you'll commemorative coins.

(10:37):
I polished those. Here's my favorite thing, my favorite trick
I've learned, which was organizing my shoes and boots. And
I'm going to show y'all. I found these fringed boots
that Casey Musgraves gave us. Do you remember these, Judy? Yes, yes,
I have mine. And my closet has been so cluttered that,
especially a pair of boots, they're just they're floppy. So

(10:58):
my boots were like on the ground and flopped over.
And I've been looking for these things for at least
two years. I think she gave them to us three
years ago. So here's a trick. When quarantined, and if
you want to clean out your closets, you can make
your boots stand up in your closet really nice on
a shelf. I clean out all my shelves. But the

(11:18):
trick to making a boot stand up whole way for
it is you stuff a bottle of wine in it. Now,
I'm not stuffing unused wine because then you don't can't
find it. So I tried everything, cans of hairspray, every
device possible. I even tried my Tapo Chico bottles. But

(11:40):
they're not calf sizes and fit. But watch this. You
can go from like a floppy boot into just a
great shelf display and then not forget what you have
and then but this happens to be the funny. This
is also Charlotte Jones Limited Collection Special Right Edition Josh

(12:03):
Cabernet's Great. So you polish off a bottle of wine
on your hour and a half walk with your shinsu
and then you come back and you put it in
your boots and you just stay on stay on track.
I also found in my cosmetic drawer an alternative to
toilet paper. Ladies, we all have these cosmetic puffs just

(12:24):
in case, oh gosh, hey, I'm just oh, I did
find some secret toilet paper. And since you guys a picture,
I have curtains in my bedroom that have were puddles.
There was just a puddle on the floor and I
tried to make them look full and complete. I don't

(12:45):
know if did y'all get the pictures or can you
even see it? I'll see it now, Yeah, they're there.
So my puddled curtains had something stuffed underneath them and
it's been there for years. But I in my clean
out I realized, Oh my gosh, that's toilet paper. So
at the base of my all my curtains in my
house there's little toilet paper rolls. They probably will deteriorate,

(13:09):
but they were. Oh my gosh, how many years I
found my high school bible that was given to me
in Lyndale. And here's something that I found, specially my
pride and joy is I actually found a sonogram and
I had to like read the details and figure out
which kid was this. And we didn't LEXI Sunday, you'll

(13:29):
get all these fancy sonograms, but we didn't. But that
is a picture of Ryan. I know. I started crying
when I saw this. This was Ryan when he was
This was five months before he was born, and I
just lost it. So and what I think with you
and I both we didn't know the gender of our

(13:51):
children before they were born. No. In fact, I was
looking at that sonogram. I'm sure somebody medical that's watching
this can explain what's what. But I mean, that's the
only one I have, and it was tucked away in
my bible. So everything about that just was meant to be.
But I never would have discovered some of these precious

(14:13):
things that my kids made. I even have a picture
that Samantha painted of the American flag when she was
in it was either kindergarten or first grade, and that's
the picture that she made after nine to eleven because
my kids were in Oh gosh, I think she was
in kindergarten. And look at her little stars and strong la.

(14:38):
I'm sweet. But so when I'm finding all these treasures,
it's just kind of been. It's been an emotional to
be honest with you. But the cleaning, Judy is good.
It's very exhilarating. I clean and you're going to rediscover things.
I've had trash bags. I'm measuring. I'm measuring my quarantine

(14:59):
by discar I've had twenty bags of trash, and I've
had ten bags of donations of clothes and purses and
shoes that I took. We have two drop offs that
are actually still open right now. I dropped them off
at Salvation Army and I also dropped it off at Goodwill.
So that's that's what I've been doing. I'm gonna do it.
I've started in the pantry and i've started in the

(15:21):
kid's room, and that's as far as i've gotten. But
goals Yeah. We started with the garage and we made
a lot of progress, which is nice. I've sold a
couple of things by putting them outside with social distancing
and people coming to pick them up. But been able
to clean up my garage too, which has been nice.

(15:42):
We also learned new skills. We learned how to zoom.
We had our first team Zoom meeting last week and
all thirty seven little faces popped up on the screen,
like the Brady Bunchet was so cool, and all the girls,
all of the girls or mattered all over the country.
I remember Tess was coming in live and she had

(16:04):
horses in the background, and you know, everybody's everybody scattered
right now, and we're going to stay connected through Zoom
while we can. Yeah, And I think it just shows
how much we miss each other because I think that
call ended up lasting about two hours? Is that how
long it was? I wondered that R wow wow. Well,

(16:30):
you know, staying connected is important. That's the one thing
I've learned out of this whole thing. I don't even
like normal phone calls anymore. I like FaceTime. I love
these WebEx meetings. We've enjoyed Zoom for Judy, for you,
and I to be on the later end of technologies.
Shall we say we've learned some new new things that
have kept us connected. We have staying. I mean, if

(16:54):
you can't see people and interact, it's harder. Phone calls
just aren't the same, it really is. I'm wondering if
I can teach my parents how to FaceTime because I
think that visual connection is really important right now for emotions. Now,
speaking of connection, I know we have a lot of

(17:15):
questions from our friends on Instagram and Twitter. So we'll
take a break and when we come back, we're going
to be answering the questions from our pod pals. I'm

(19:35):
for Kicks. I'm Kelly fin Glass, joined by Judy Trammel
and DCC Lexi, and now we're going to be answering
your questions that you've sent to us through social media.
And since Lexie has the better eyes than Judy and
I, I I think Judy was going to try to read
them too. Let's awesome. Okay, Then let's let's get some
of these questions from our friends on Instagram and Twitter. Okay,

(19:57):
here's a fun one, Lexie, because I'm not even sure
when y'all started this, but Adventures of Squishy asked, how
did the Vets pick their signature move for their solos?
You'll have to probably explain that. Okay, So the question
was about our veteran move that we pick for our

(20:18):
solos during finals, and so what this means is whenever
we all get together before auditions, all the veterans get together,
we pick one move that we decide is going to
unite us at a team as a team going into finals,
and we just decide to all put that into our
solo and we all get together, we bring different options

(20:39):
to the table and then we end up voting. And
it's always funny because you know, we have a variety
of styles within solos, from tap and jazz contemporary, so
even the girls that are doing contemporary seem to manage
to put the veteran move in there, and it's not
always a contemporary move. But it's really fun because whenever
you see your teammate doing that move finals, we just

(21:01):
go crazy for them. We cheer them on, and it's
kind of just boost each other's confidence through the audition process.
So it's a really fun tradition that we have. It
took us a while to pick up on that, and
so it's fun for Killing and I too to finally go, oh,
there's the move because it's not very long and you
have to kind of really be watching for it to
see what happened. Yeah, how many veterans in do you think?

(21:22):
Until you do? You think? Go until you realize what
it is? How many solos you have to watch? Oh?
We only had to wait pretty quickly because they start
shooting and hollering. Yah, I like to hear. Yeah, Lexie,
I ask you a question Lexie had. This is from
Love Underscore, Baby Girl Underscore. How do you get your

(21:45):
kicks high with your boots on? That's a great question
because the boots really do add a lot of weight,
and I think for me, especially going through training camp
as a rookie, I just tried to practice in the
boots as much as possible. As soon as we got them,
I was wearing them around the house. I was wearing
them to practice, practicing on my own. So I think

(22:05):
just wearing the boots helped me a lot. If you
don't have the boots yet, another thing that I really
tried to do to build up that strength was I
have ankle weights, which I don't jump and kick in
the ankle weights just because that's not great for your needs.
But I'll lean back on my forearms and I'll kick
up my foot up in the air. With the ankle
weights on, and that helps add that extra couple pounds

(22:26):
to really get that leg all the way up towards
your nose. Like see. I remember at auditions this year
we showed pictures of your wedding to the preliminary round candidates.
Because every year I tell people I said it once
and now it's traditional, and I try to not say it,

(22:46):
and y'all keep making it come true. And that is
the girls at auditions that you meet that you would
not have otherwise ever even known, wind up becoming each
other's bridesmaids. And so I know you're remember taping it,
but when we played on the large screen inside the
stadium your wedding message with your bridesmaids, it was really

(23:09):
a cool moment, so much so that it's something I
think I'd like to do every year. But tell everybody
who your cheerleader bridesmaids were in your wedding this year.
So my cheerleader bridesmaids were Alexis, Madeleine, and Savannah, And
I think, Kelly, you definitely have to incorporate that into
your speech every year because it's just it's so cool

(23:29):
and I love just knowing thinking back on the process.
I know the exact moment Alexis and I knew each
other beforehand, but I know the exact moment that I
met Savannah, and that I met Madeline, and that I
met rachel A. You know, I can just picture Savannah
for examples in my channel interview, and it's just crazy
that those moments are what changed our future and our
friendship forever. So you definitely have to keep including that

(23:51):
in the speech because it's just it's so cool. Let's Sarah,
there are any other questions. JS one from uh huh
Angie Cole twenty six asked what your favorite memory from
this past season. I mean, I can't pick anything other

(24:12):
than Queen. I think that was just the most amazing
experience ever. So I don't know. We got to perform
with Queen this summer, and it all happened really quickly.
It was kind of crazy how everything just came together.
I would say within a few days. But it was
truly an experience of a lifetime. And I remember Judy

(24:33):
standing next to you, and when the music started playing,
you just turned to all of us and yelled so loud. Kelly,
you were on the other side, but Judy was on
our side, and she just yelled so loud, she was
so excited, and I think that that just really pumped
everybody up to everyone was just knew that we were
experiencing a once in a lifetime opportunity. So I think
we were just really exciting. That was kind of a

(24:55):
residual effect our afterglow, if you would at or me
becoming obsessed with Bohemian Rhapsody the movie last last spring.
But I think we can do a whole podcast someday
and tell the whole story and show all the pictures.
We can either do it on the anniversary of the performance,
which was July twenty third, or we can do it

(25:16):
on some other queen related anniversary. But it was such
an epic moment. I agree with you, Alexey, and I'd
like to expand on that. Those are my favorite pictures.
I know, Lexie, somebody's asking what you do for a living? PS,
you are beautiful? That is Lindsay at Lindsay forty five.
Oh well, thank you. This is the first time I've

(25:39):
put on makeup in a few days, so thank you.
What I do for a living, I actually work for
an energy efficiency company, which isn't really related to what
I studied in school, but was what I became interested
in after and I kind of do a lot for
their company and executive assistant robo marketing. I assist with

(26:00):
billing and event planning and I love it. It's a
lot of fun and we office close to the Star,
which is really convenient as well because I'm there all
the time. Here's when you study in Oklahoma State University, right, Lexie?
I did, Yes, I studied nutritional sciences. So this year's

(26:21):
draft will be interesting. I think it's going to be
virtual from our point of view, and it'll be interesting
to see. I've always loved seeing which players come from
the universities that you guys have graduated from. So do
you know are there any OSU you know you have
your eyes on. I focus more on the Cowboys, so

(26:43):
I hadn't focused on the Oklahoma State Cowboy football program
as much. But it is always exciting whenever we have
recruits from our universities. I know the girls get really
excited and competitive about it in a good way. So
that'll be fun to see. Hopefully we'll get some MOSU players.
So the draft is scheduled for April, that's right around
the corner now the NFL, it's not going to be

(27:05):
live even anymore for public gathering. We're hearing it's going
to be a lot of phone calls and a lot
of virtual The cheerleaders will the Cowboys. We will be
producing some entertainment programming wrapped around the draft, but that's
upcoming and our auditions are as well. So we're going

(27:25):
to take a break here at just for kicks. I'm
going to see if I can wait Sugar up to
say hi, and when we get back, we'll actually talk
about our upcoming auditions. Since eighteen sixty five, Stetson hats

even though it feels weird to talk to we, can
you pick one up and say, it's so nice to
be treated doctor Pepper, so nice to treat you. Back

(29:35):
back to Just for Kicks. Okay, we're back at Just
for Kicks. I'm Kelly fin Glass, joined by DCC Lexie
and Judy Trammel and Sugar My shit, sus she just
turned twelve. She's been sleeping, she's been overwalked. But I'm
gonna try to wake her up. But here's the deal, y'all.

(29:55):
I'm almost sure now she's losing her hearing. So watch
and you'll see. I can clown and make different sounds,
but she won't move unless I whistle. Maybe, Sugar, Sugar,
y'all tell me what now, I try to whistle, Sugar, No, Sugar,
there's she is? Okay, gutty baby girl. Well I'm gonna

(30:19):
I'm gonna grab her real quick. I'm your sweet Silver. Okay.
So she had her birthday. Sugar had her birthday during quarantine,
and she turned twelve. Can you say Hi, Hi, she's
got over. Yeah. When I first got her and took

(30:41):
her to the VENT for her first exam, he literally
started laughing about her. She's not a show dog, but
that's okay. She say. Here's a here's a cheerleader story
that a lot of people don't know. My shitsu before
Sugar was named Joe, Joe, Judy, you might remember this.
I do so. When I was growing when I was
growing up in Lyndelle, I had a shit sue and

(31:02):
her name was Daisy, as in Daisy May. And Daisy
lived to be eighteen. And when she passed away, I
cried and cried and cried so much, always around the cheerleaders,
always at work. I couldn't. I just couldn't recover. And
the cheerleaders that year, that was in October, and then
that December we were having a Christmas party at Judy's

(31:22):
house and the cheerleaders, unbeknownst to me, brought out a
basket with a little puppy in it. And that was
a new shit sue and that was Jojo, and I
know it was so special and so sweet, and so
Jojo lived to be sixteen. Here, Sugar, I'm gonna put
you back Jojo lived to be sixteen and then there

(31:45):
she is, went to heaven and now I have Shark
and she's something special. Okay, going forward, let's talk about auditions,
because I know people are getting a lot of questions.
So our plans for the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders auditions this
year are to stay with the date that we published

(32:07):
May second, but it's going to be an online submission,
and we're going to give you ten days to submit
a preliminary audition, so that would be hometape, so you
can video tape yourself at the privacy or comfort of
your own home, sixty seconds of you dancing and submit

(32:28):
that to us online. We'll have all the details on
our website and on Instagram, and we'll try to keep
you informed socially. But you can submit from May second
through May twelve your video of your best dance submission,
and then we will virtually judge those with our collection
of judges, much like a zoom meeting. We'll all be

(32:51):
watching together and from that we will do callbacks, and
at that point Judy and some of our veteran cheerleaders
will send a video out of choreography to learn, and
from that choreography, then someone would resubmit their video back
and that's when we'd pick the finalists. The finals right

(33:16):
now are kind of TBD to be determined in June.
We've got some placeholders of June ten through twelve, and
we've also got another placeholder of June twenty four and
twenty five. But honestly, I'd be getting ahead of myself
if I said I knew exactly what day that physical
final audition will be. We will be as transparent in

(33:39):
this process and as up to date as we can
be via social media to give everybody enough time to
prepare for this. But that's what we're planning. So the
good news is a virtual audition is going to let
anybody all over the country submit their video at no expense.
Just submit your own dance video, Judy, I think, did

(34:01):
we decide sixty seconds of dancing to their own choice
of music? Yes, sixty seconds your choice of music. A
brief intro at the beginning of your video, who your name,
your first name, your occupation, but don't give your place
of employment, your college, what you're studying to be, or

(34:26):
what your degree is in. It should be really fun
and it gives everyone kind of a edge because you
can do it more than once. If you don't feel
good about your video, then do it again, and you
don't we don't have to see all the mess ups.
The semifinal round will be really interesting because you get
a second chance. If you bomb the choreography on your own,

(34:50):
you can try again. So if I'm out there in
audition land and and just trying to mentally prepare for
the semifinals, how many eight counts do you think that
semifinal choreography will be? And it usually like six eight
counts or eight eight counts, two six to eight eight counts,

(35:12):
and we'll probably just do it two times through since
it's on video, and then the kick line of course,
and it's two times three. Lexie, do you think if
you were trying out, would you have preferred to be
able to do that round one on video where you
could keep perfecting your best really definitely? I think that

(35:38):
I think it will give everyone a really great chance
to put their best foot forward. I think that sometimes
it's a little tryouts are overwhelming, and so I think
this is a great opportunity for everyone to be able
to show their best selves off. And I think that
that's that's really exciting and it'll help you. Second, I'm

(35:58):
sorry they drop those that can't afford to travel maybe
three times to come to preliminary, semifinals and finals that
they can say that expense doing it by video yep.
So then the first time these audition candidates would meet
up with our re auditioning veterans, which by the way,

(36:21):
we have thirty one ladies from this year's team that
are re auditioning. They would meet up at the panel
interview in final audition day, hopefully in June, depending upon
what happens. If things get even farther delayed, then we
would be sending choreography out actually probably for our training camp,

(36:43):
where people could learn many of the routines of our
training camp in advance of even being in a traditional rehearsal.
So the people that like online learning and are prepared
and hard workers on their own I think could stand
to I mean, might have an advantage this year. It's
a very unique situation. It's a you know, everybody that

(37:08):
I've talked to has their highs and lows on this
entire situation. So that's why I think going forward, we've
noticed a lot of things around the community of people
trying to lift spirits. And that's what I love the
most about being associated with a word cheerleader, is that
our cheerleaders truly do live spirits. And they've been doing

(37:28):
such a great job on social media. If you watch
them on Instagram, they're doing takeovers and they're just awesome.
You're getting to see all their personality. You're getting to
see more about their own lives and their homes, and
I think us all staying connected is really important. Judy,
I know you sent me a picture of the bears

(37:49):
that we're going on in a lot of the neighborhoods
run North Texas. I don't know if that's a national
thing or a local thing about putting a little teddy
hairs in the windows for children. I'm not sure the
alert on my neighborhood out, so I put it Teddy
Bear in my window. And it's so when the kids
are walking around the neighborhood, they can count the different
bears they see and they're calling it a bear hunt.

(38:11):
And I think the adults have gotten into it just
as much as the kids, and closer to Easter, I
think we're supposed to change it out to a rabbit.
Oh boy. Well, in my quarantine clean out, I didn't
have a Teddy Bear in the house, and but I did.
I'm still kind of storing and gathering some of my

(38:31):
Christmas decorations, so I found this oversized green head mascot
like head of the Grinch, and I think I sent
you guys a picture of it. But hopefully he looks
like a bear in the window, right we all that's
our moods right now in Ala. I think we should

(38:53):
all have a Grinch in our window. I'm not trying
for him to look grumpy, but there, I guess there're
some subliminal messaging going on there. But that was my
challenge back to you for the Teddy Bear. We've got
to figure out which cheerleader Lexi. You may remember who
has Abby right now? She would have gotten her at
the last football game, because Abbey needs to be in

(39:16):
somebody's window, and I didn't have Abby. Abbey is our
Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders teddy bear. For those of you that
are watching and wondering who Abbey is, her name is Azer.
I could I could look it up, but not right
now because all of my devices are taken. But Abbey's
the Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Bear. Her name is from the
words above and beyond, a B for above and b

(39:39):
e y for beyond, so we named her Abbey and
she is passed from teammate to teammate just once every game,
so really only ten times in an entire year for
a teammate recognizing that someone has gone above and beyond
to help their teammate be successful. And that to become

(40:00):
a really really great tradition that the cheerleaders acknowledge each
other and just acknowledge helping each other and lifting spirits,
so you know what, really go ahead. I think that's
one of my favorite traditions because I think being recognized
by a teammate is just a really high honor in

(40:22):
my opinion, just the peer recognition. And so I love
the Abby Bear tradition. Speaking of goodwill and cheer I
am especially kind of my heart is pulled on all
of the residents of senior citizens or seniors and senior
care facilities because you guys know how much the nursing

(40:45):
home visits and the senior centers have met to our
organization since before me and Judy, and that's such a
just a big part of our organization. And I don't
know what happens after, you know, all the sheltering and
what we're going through now. I wonder what will happen
about visitors being able to go in to senior centers.

(41:07):
The cheerleaders have always made such a great just a
great day when they visit these senior centers, and I'm hoping,
I'm hoping there's a solution of that, because I think
it's so important for people to stay connected. It might
become technology, but that's kind of been weighing heavy on
my heart a little bit. I've seen a few very

(41:28):
post things about when they've may have gotten engaged or
some kind of life event, and they've gone and stood
outside of the window of a nursing home where they
had a family member inside, which I thought it was
really cool. Maybe we could do something like that if
we can get out again. In the future, we as
an organization and the spirit of DCC are going to

(41:49):
have to get creative about how we stay connected and
visit people because that's such so much a part of
what we do. I mean, a lot of people see
the cheerleaders at football games or now see the cheerleaders
on television. With our audition process, but the real fan
interaction at retail events and grand openings and corporate functions

(42:12):
and hospital visits and the nursing home visits. I just,
I really, I really don't have any clarity, and nobody
does obviously, But how how this is going to affect
those of us that are kind of in the fan business?
What will you know? What will that look like? Speaking

(42:34):
of what will things look like? Do any of you
have any goals? Since we're still sheltered and quarantined and
we have, you know, only the resources in our own homes,
do you guys have any any new goals that you
want to achieve while you have this quasi downtime. I
know I'm still working a lot, but we're having newfound
downtime just simply because we don't have rehearsals at night.

(42:56):
So do you guys have any time filler goals that
are approaching? I do feel like we've been working a
lot still together, and our team has been a lot
more connected, our staff team because I work nights and
sometimes I don't even see our co workers that are

(43:17):
there during the day, But I feel like we've kept
connected through all of our devices, and it's that's been fun.
I'm going to get on your bandwagon and I'm going
to start cleaning out. Well, I'm going to get on
your bandwagon that you got off of because you said
you don't like to cook anymore. But I'm gonna try
to learn more about cooking since my son's home Ryan,

(43:38):
He's a great cook, so hopefully I'll do that. And
then I got a keyboard for Christmas from my brother,
and I want to start taking some online lessons and
learn a little bit about the keyboard. I did work
out the first three measures of Baheinian Rhapsody just by
ear not reading music, so that should be fun. Who knows.

(43:58):
I've been writing songs, parody songs really rather with changing
the words to what's going on today, but I'm not
publishing them in the spirit of being extremely sensitive. So
but they are kind of fun. Lexie, how about you, You
You got any new goals? It's a tragico, what do

(44:25):
I think? Just with auditions right around the corner, just
staying focused on that goal. Luckily, I do feel like
there are a lot of resources online between dance classes
and workout videos, so just really utilizing those, using the
accountability of my teammates to make sure that I am
ready for auditions, and we've already talked about having some
zoom calls for some study sessions. So just really focusing

(44:48):
on auditions and working out and being ready for that. Lexie,
have you taken any online dance classes yet? We're still
trying to fine tune that with our idea us with
technology to do some Dallas Cup with Schuler dance classes online.
I've done Jim and Bern's Instagram live videos, so I've
learned those from her, which has been really nice. And

(45:10):
then a lot of the online workout videos a lot
of for example, Orange Theory as a gym that I
usually go to and they'll submit a release a video
every day. So um, that's been nice for the for
the workout part of it. But aside from Jin's um,
I haven't seen any of the other ones yet, but
I'm excited to do the DCC prep ones in the future.

(45:31):
You know, Hayley was talking about doing Peloton, and I
know that the workout is, you know, one on one,
but you're interacting with people all over the world. That
is that's so cool. I I wish I could go
out and get one of those things because I'm gonna
go stir crazy. I had some people on our sidewalk yesterday.
They were getting a little prickly on the bicycles versus

(45:54):
the pedestrians versus the space. You're kind of out. They
have a policeman at our girl restore now because people
are getting anxious about the milk limitation, the egg limitations,
the toilet paper. So interesting, interesting dynamics of human behavior.
But alrighty okay, So I think we have covered what

(46:20):
we know about April and May in terms of those
of you that are interested in auditioning, and we will
continue with just for kicks and stay connected with you all.
So if you want to keep sending questions to us,
we'll pick back up on those. Maybe we'll do some
more just for kicks since we're home and we can
just for kicks. But this has been fun. Thank you

(46:40):
Lexie and thank you Judy. I miss you guys, miss Yo. Well,
thanks for having me on today. Hopefully we can get
Hailey reconnected with us. She did two of these with us,
and then then I guess, I guess it's this technology.
Things just sometimes work, sometimes they don't. But maybe next

(47:01):
time we'll have all Kelly, Judy Hayley and then we'll
have another sidekick. So thank you Lexi today for joining.
Are you going to do another puzzle? I can't. I
can't do any more puzzles. I gotta I gotta pick
a new game. That's that's my next. No more pud
I'm kind of netflixed out. I think I've hit as

(47:21):
much as I can. I'm I'm oversaturated with television and movies.
I just started that Reese Witherspoon It's on Extean Hulu,
the Little Fires, a lot of little fires or yeah,
I started that one. Yeah, and I'm kept up with
this is us. I started that Wild Tiger, Tiger Man,
Tiger something on Netflix, Tiger game, yes, yeah, And but

(47:45):
I'm kind of saturated, you know, and you can only
take so much news. So hopefully we've hopefully we've entertained
everybody out there in podcast land for a little bit,
and we will see everybody again um here on just
for kicks, and we'll see you next time. Thank you Judy,
thank you Lexie, and thank you Hailey. This has been

(48:06):
a production of Dallas Cowboys dot Com and the Dallas
Cowboys Football Club.
