About Maureen Graves
Maureen is an attorney representing people with disabilities and their families since 1994, primarily in disputes with school districts and regional centers. Maureen turned to special education law in 1994 when her own young children were diagnosed as having autism. At the first IEP meeting she ever attended, she was stunned to hear that the “team” planned to document goals but would not explain how teaching would occur. Ensuring that students have access to validated, effective interventions has been a key focus of Maureen’s practice from the beginning. Reach her at maureenrgraves@gmail.com or via Disability Voters.
