Willem van Hanegem aan de keukentafel van Kein Geloel? Ja, je leest het goed. De grootste nog levende Feyenoorder uit de clubgeschiedenis kwam langs om een podcast op te nemen. Samen met vriend en podcastcollega Wessel Penning was hij te gast in deze bijzondere special van Kein Geloel.
De 52-voudig international en Europacupwinnaar vertelt prachtige verhalen. Over zijn jaren als trainer in Rotterdam-Zuid, reservekeeper Mukwayanzo Bulayima, de snotneus van die ene jeugdspeler, UT Arad, Ernst Happel, de keuze voor Van Persie en de vrije trap tegen Tottenham en de afgeketste transfer naar Fenerbahçe vanwege een paspoort.
Ook krijgen we een prachtige geschiedenisles van De Kromme. Zo deelt hij zijn bijzondere band met Wim Janssen, met wie hij jarenlang samenspeelde en buiten het veld een heerlijke sjoelstrijd voerde. Ook vertelt hij waarom Ernst Happel – ‘Kein Geloel, Fussball spielen’ - zo een goede trainer voor Feyenoord was.
Van Hanegem was in de jaren 70 één van de beste voetballers van de wereld, maakte in 372 duels 107 goal voor Feyenoord en is nog altijd clubtopscorer in de Champions League (voormalig Europacup 1). Ook werd hij vier keer kampioen met de club – drie keer als speler, één keer als trainer - maar als het aan de clubheld ligt, is dat nog veel te weinig. Misschien zegt dat wel álles over Willem van Hanegem.
