عبدالحسین‌خان صبا برادر بزرگ‌تر ابوالحسن صبا و فرزند دکتر ابوالقاسم کمال السلطنه و از نواده‌های فتحعلی خان صبا، ملک الشعرای دربار قاجار بوده است. او در خانواده‌ای تولد یافت که اهل هنر و ادبیات و طبابت بودند.
ما از عبدالحسین‌خان صبا عکسی پیدا نکردیم و فکر می‌کنیم تنها اجرای صوتی که از ایشان موجود است همین نوار ریلی است که در آرشیو جناب گلشن ابراهیمی پیدا کرده‌ایم. این پنج قطعه در آرشیو موزه موسیقی ایران هم موجود است.
در قطعه‌ی سوم ابتدا اجرایی از نورعلی‌خان برومند در نوا می‌شنوید و سپس عبدالحسین‌خان در اصفهان می‌نوازند.
