Kongerækken har taget mikrofonen med til seks historiske kirkegårde i Aarhus Stift.
I Samsøs største by Tranebjerg troner den lokale kirke på en bakketop med et enormt kirketårn, der strækker sig højt i vejret. Den rigt udsmykkede kirkes historie strækker sig helt tilbage til Valdemar den Stores bestræbelser på at kontrollere de danske farvande, og blev viklet ind i 1200-tallets stridigheder efter mordet på Erik Klipping, og så rummer kirkegården en hel lille afdeling for RAF-flyvere fra Anden Verdenskrig.
En af gravene gemmer på en tragisk fortælling om en norsk jøde, der flygtede ud af landet for at tage kampen op mod Nazityskland og endte med at deltage i bombningen af Shellhuset i marts 1945.
Den norske Mosquito-navigatør kom aldrig hjem til Norge, og i dag hviler hans jordiske rester på Samsø.
