Hoboïst Bart Schneemann is sinds 1988 artistiek leider van het Nederlands Blazers Ensemble. Eerder dit jaar ontving hij een Koninklijke onderscheiding voor zijn jarenlange verdiensten voor het culturele leven in Nederland en daarbuiten. In februari reisde het Ensemble naar Jamaica om samen te spelen met diverse Jamaicaanse reggae artiesten. Nu toeren ze samen langs de Nederlandse podia met de voorstelling Jamaica.
