La Popa en Nuevo León, hasta ahora, ofrece tres rutas de multilargos, algunas de las más difíciles del país. En 2022, el escalador inglés Jacob Cook armó una vía de 10 largos llamada "Los Naguales", 13b. En diciembre pasado, 2023, un grupo de cuatro vatos provenientes de distintos lugares de México emprendieron un viaje exprés de seis días a este lugar con la intención de liberar esta increíble vía. Impulsados por el creador de la expedición, Bernardo Hurtado, Alvaro Basich y Jose Hernandez lograron escalar en libre "Los Naguales"; les tomó dos días completarla y Alvaro terminó encadenando un 13a y el 13b (crux de la ruta).
