This novel deals with the difficult subject of sex trafficking and takes us through Lara Sagarra's saga of getting trapped into the service of a Mexican cartel inside the United States. While this is a fictional story, Lara's plight is much more common than we realize. David helped take down several sex trafficking operations, run by different gangs during his law enforcement career.
