He was hidden away and grew up to be the last living descendant of King David. But unfortunately, Joash didn't become a good king. He turned away from God, worshipped false gods, and ended up being defeated and killed by his own servants. It's a sad ending considering how miraculously he was spared. The lesson here is that having a believing family or good influences doesn't guarantee a strong relationship with God. Then his son Jehoram became the next king Jehoram his brothers were as Araya Jihyo Zechariah as Araya, Michael and shefa. Taya. They were the sons of King Jehoshaphat of Judah. Jehoshaphat gave his sons many gifts of silver, gold and precious things. He also gave them strong fortresses in Judah. But Jehoshaphat gave the kingdom to Jehoram because he was the oldest son Jehoram took over his father's kingdom and made himself strong. Then he used a sword to kill all his brothers. He also killed some of the leaders of Israel. Jehoram was 32 years old when he began to rule. He ruled eight years in Jerusalem. He lived the same way the kings of Israel left, he lived the same way Ahab's family lived. This was because Jehoram married Ahab's daughter, and Jehoram did evil in the Lord’s site. But the Lord would not destroy David's family because of the agreement he made with David. He had promised to keep a lamp burning for David and his children forever. In Jehoram time, Edom broke away from other Judas authority. The people of Edom chose their own king. So Jehoram went to eat him with all his commanders and chariots, the Edomite army surrounded Jehoram and his chariot commanders, the Jehoram fought his way out at night. Since that time, and until now the country of Edom has been rebellious against Judah. The people from the town of Libnah, also turned against Jehoram. This happened because Jehoram left the Lord God. Second Chronicles chapter 21.Then Jehoshaphat died and was
buried with his ancestors in thecity of David. Then his son
Jehoram became the next kingJehoram his brothers were as

lived. You have not lived theway King ASA of Judah lived, but
you have lived the way the kingsof Israel lived. You have caused

the people of Judah andJerusalem to stop doing what God
wants. This is what they have inhis family did. They were
unfaithful to God, you havekilled your brothers and they
were better than you. So now theLord will soon punish your
people with terrible suffering.He will punish your children,
your wives and all yourproperty. You will have a
painful sickness in yourintestines that will get worse

and worse. Your intestines willfinally come out. The Lord
caused the Philistines and theArabs living near the Ethiopians
to be angry with Jehoram theyattacked Judah and carried away
all the riches in the king'spalace. They also took Jehoram
sons and wives only Jehoram hisyoungest son, a Messiah was
left. After this happened, theLord made Jehoram sick with a

disease in his intestines thatcould not be cured. His
intestines fell out two yearslater because of his sickness.
He died in very bad pain, thatpeople did not make a large fire
to honor Jehoram as they did forhis father. Jehoram was 32 years
old when he became king. Heruled eight years in Jerusalem.
No one was sad when he died. Thepeople bury Jehoram in the city

of David, but not in the graveswhere the kings are buried.
Second Chronicles chapter 22.The people of Jerusalem chose a
Messiah to be the new king inJehoram xplace a Messiah was
Jehoram, his youngest son, thepeople who came with the Arabs

sons. So as I began to rule inJudah, he was 22 years old when

and his wife. Jehovah was apriest and Yehoshua was a his

him. Joash was hidden with thepriests in God's temple for six

years. During that time, EthelLeia ruled over the land is
queen.
Second Chronicles chapter 23. Inthe seventh year Jehoiada made a
bold move, he made a pact withthe officers of the units of
hundreds as Araya Sena Jehoram,Ishmael son of Ji Ho Hainan
Azariah, son of Obed, may Asiya,son of a dire and delicious fat

the Levites from all the citiesof Judah, as well as the

be stationed at the Royal Palaceand still another third at the
foundation gate. All the otherswill stand in the courtyards of
the Lord's temple. No one mustenter the Lord's temple except
the priests and Levites who areon duty. They may enter because

they are ceremonially pure. Allthe others should carry out
their assigned service to theLord and the Levites must
surround the king. Each of youmust hold his weapon in his
hand. Whoever tries to enter thetemple must be killed. You must
accompany the king wherever hegoes. The Levites and all the
men of Judah did justiceJehoiada the priest ordered each

of them took his men, those whoare on duty during the Sabbath,
and those who were off duty onthe Sabbath Jehoiada the priest
did not release his divisionsfrom their duties. Jehoiada the
priest gave to the officers ofthe units of hundreds King
David's spears and shields thatwere kept in God's temple. He
placed the men at their posts,each holding his weapon in his

hand. They lined up from thesouth side of the temple to the
north side and stood near thealtar in the temple surrounding
the king. Jehovah and his sonsled out the king's son and
placed on him the crown and theRoyal insignia. They proclaimed
him king and poured olive oil onhis head. They declared Long
live the king. When athel Leiaheard the Royal Guard shouting

and praising the king she joinedthe crowd at the Lord's temple.
Then she saw the king standingby his pillar at the entrance.
The officers and the trumpetersstood beside the king and all
the people of the land werecelebrating and blowing
trumpets, and the musicians withvarious instruments were leading
the celebration. After Leia toreher clothes and yelled treason

treason. Jehoiada the priestsent out the officers of the
units of hundreds who were incharge of the army in order to
bring her outside the temple tothe guards put the sword to
anyone who follows her. Thepriest gave this order because
he had decided she should not beexecuted in the Lord's temple.
They seized her and took herinto the precincts of the royal

palace through the horse'sentrance. There they executed
her. Jehovah then drew up acovenant stipulating that he all
the people and the king shouldbe loyal to the Lord. All the
people went and demolished theTemple of Vail. They smashed its
altars and idols. They killedMatt in the priesthood Bay. All
in front of the altar. Jehovahthen assigned the duties of the

Lord's temple to the priests,the Levites, whom David had
assigned to the Lord's temple.They were responsible for
offering burnt sacrifices to theLord with joy in music.
According to the law of Mosesand the Edict of David. He
posted guards at the gates ofthe Lord's temple, so no one who
was ceremonially unclean in anyway could enter. He summoned the

officers of the units ofhundreds, the nobles, the rulers
of the people, and all thepeople of land, and he then led
the king down from the Lord'stemple, and they entered the
royal palace through the uppergate and seated the king on the
royal throne. All the people ofthe land celebrated for the city
had rest now that they hadkilled Atha Leia,

(10:46):
Second Chronicles chapter 24.Joash was seven years old when
he became king, and he reigned40 years in Jerusalem. His
mother's name was xebia ofBeersheba. Joash did what was
right in the sight of the Lordall the days of Jehoiada, the
priest, and Jehovah took twowives for him, and he had sons

(11:07):
and daughters. Now what happenedafter this, the Joash set his
heart on repairing the house ofthe Lord. Then he gathered the
priests and the Levites and saidto them, go out to the cities of
Judah and gather from all Israelmoney to repair the house of
your god from year to year, andsee that you do it quickly.
However, the Levites did not doit quickly. So the king called

Jehovah, the chief priest andsaid to him, Why have you not
required the Levites to bring infrom Judah and from Jerusalem,
the collection according to thecommandment of Moses, the
servant of the Lord, and of theassembly of Israel, for the
tabernacle of witness, for thesons of Atha, Leia, that wicked
woman had broken into the houseof God. and he had also
presented all the dedicatedthings of the house of the Lord

(11:51):
to the bales. Then at the king'scommand, they made a chest and
set it outside the gate of thehouse of the Lord. and they made
a proclamation throughout Judahand Jerusalem to bring to the
Lord the collection that Mosesthe servant of God had imposed
on Israel in the wilderness.Then all the leaders and all the
people rejoiced, brought theircontributions and put them into

the chest until all had given.So it was at that time when the
chest was brought to the kingsofficial by the hand of the
Levites. and when they saw thatthere was much money that the
Kings ascribe in the highpriests officers came and empty
the chest and took it andreturned it to its place. Thus
they did day by day and gatheredmoney in abundance. The King and

Jehoiada gave it to those whodid the work of the service of
the house of the Lord. and theyhired masons and carpenters to
repair the house of the Lord,and also those who worked in
iron and bronze to restore thehouse of the Lord. So the
workmen labored and the work wascompleted by them. They restored
the house of God to its originalcondition and reinforced it.

(12:58):
When they had finished, theybrought the rest of the money
before the king and Jehoiada.They made from it articles for
the house of the Lord articlesfor serving and offering spoons
and vessels of gold and silver.and they offered burnt offerings
in the house of the Lordcontinually all the days of
Jehoiada. But Jehoiada grew oldand was full of days that he

died. He was 130 years old whenhe died. and they buried him in
the city of David among theKings because he had done good
in Israel, both toward God andhis house. Now, after the death
of Jehovah, the leaders of Judahcame and bowed down to the king,
and the king listened to them.Therefore they left the house of

(13:39):
the Lord God of their fathersand served wooden images and
idols and wrath came upon Judahand Jerusalem because of their
trespass. Yeah, he sent prophetsto them to bring them back to
the Lord, and they testifiedagainst them, but they would not
listen. Then the Spirit of Godcame upon Zechariah, the son of
Jehoiada, the priest who stoodabove the people and said to

them, Thus says God, why do youtransgress the commandments of
the Lord so that you cannotprosper? Because you have
forsaken the LORD, He hasforsaken you. So they conspired
against him. and at the commandof the king, they stone him with
stones in the court of the houseof the Lord. Thus Joash the king
did not remember the kindnesswhich Jehovah his father had

(14:23):
done to it, but killed his son.and as he died, he said, The
Lord look on it and repay. Sowhat happened in the spring of
the year that the army of Syriacame up against him, and they
came to Judah and Jerusalem, anddestroyed all the leaders of the
people from among the people,and sent all their spoil to the
king of Damascus, for the armyof the Syrians came with a small

company of men. But the Lorddelivered a very great army into
their hand because they hadforsaken the LORD God of their
fathers. So they executedjudgment against Joash and when
they had withdrawn from him, butthey left him severe We wounded.
His own servants conspiredagainst him because of the blood
of the sons of Jehoiada thepriest and killed him on his

bed. So he died. and they buriedhim in the city of David, but
they did not bury him in thetombs of the kings. These are
the ones who conspired againsthim Zevia, the son of shimmy F
VM and itis and Geohazard badthe son of shimmering the mole

him, and the repairing of thehouse of God, indeed they are
written in the annals of thebooks of the kings, then Amaziah

Well, in today's chapters, weread about Joash, and how he was
saved from the evil queenAthaliah, who killed every child
of King Ahaz, Iowa, who waskilled by Gu, every child, but

one geohash Baba was the sisterof King eight, Hosea. and when
she heard that Atha, Leia wantedto kill all of the children, she
had one year old Joash with thepriests in the temple for six
years. Well, that's quite astory in itself. But this next
part is what I find mostinteresting. and this point,
Joash is the only livingdescendant of King David.

Remember, God's promised toDavid, that there would always
be one of his descendants on thethrone? Well, God made sure that
Joash was not killed. and then,of course, many generations
later, Jesus came from the lineof David. Well, it would be nice
if we could say that Joash grewto be a good and godly king, but
that didn't happen. Yes, he didright before the Lord while

Jehoiada the priest was alive.But once Jehovah had died, Joash
took a left turn, he turned awayfrom God, and he and the leaders
and the people of Judah began toworship false gods. and then God
allowed Judah to be defeated bythe smaller army of the
Arameans. and Joash, waswounded, and then his own
servants killed him on his ownbed. and when he was buried, it

was not in the place where theother kings were buried.
Wouldn't you say this was a verysad ending to a life that was
miraculously spared by God. Theapostle Paul said in Philippians
314, I press on toward the goalto win the prize for which God
has called me heavenward inChrist Jesus, would the Joash
had kept his eyes on God, comingfrom a believing family,

(17:20):
beloved, is no guarantee. He wasliterally raised in the temple
with a godly role model inJehovah to the priest. Beloved,
if you're a parent, or agrandparent, or anybody with
influence over children, it'seternally important that you
impress upon the children howimportant it is to have a
personal relationship with JesusChrist. Don't take it for
