(00:01):
Hi, I'm Bran and I love lifetimeChristmas movies.
Hi, I'm Patrick Serrano and I'm a Lifetime movie expert.
I'm Dan and I despise Lifetime Christmas movies and this is the
Deadbolar. Podcast.

(00:32):
Happy the one day a year where Imake cheese dip.
Cheese dip, New Year's Eve. Yeah, You make the cheese, I
make the cheese. So you don't make it in your
head like you tell me. I want to hear this process of
your cheese dip. Well, it's the.
What should we call it? A block of Velveeta cheese.
Velveeta cheese with some sausage and and the things.
OK, so less interesting than I was, I thought.

(00:54):
No, we were really OK. Got it.
No, no. It's just for some reason,
that's, that's the thing that wedo.
That's the day on New Year's Eve.
Velveeta Yeah. You throw any Rochelle in there,
you stay away. Yeah, yeah.
But yes, we do OK. Yeah, OK.
So you do the recipe on the box of Velveeta.
That's exactly right. You crush it.
Yeah. That's exactly.
I mean, it's on the box for a reason.
Homemade cheese. Dip.
That's what I was going to say. They're on the box for a reason.

(01:15):
Zach, I'm good. Zach, I'm good.
I can hear, but I have earbuds and I can hear Brian Harold
laughing in the other. Rooms New Year's It's New
Year's. Eve, what are you doing?
You're making my cheese very special.
Homemade cheese dip. If I'm not starting a new year
off with my stomach being in shambles, then what am I doing?
That's right. Well, we're doing a thing on
January, starting on January 2nd, Yeah, Which we've not.
It's TBD. What?

(01:35):
It's TBD. We decided by now, yes, Yeah.
Yeah, we can't. Talk about it we can't talk
about. It right OK secret.
Happy, Happy early New Year to you Patrick.
Do you guys need big 2025 resolutions?
Oh, I don't really do resolutions I guess.
What are you already perfect? It's like, what do you?

(01:56):
Yeah, I don't do resolutions. Either we do things.
But I doing this thing last yearI thought was a great decision.
I feel great. I feel better than I did.
We smoothied 2 smoothies. A week I you know, I know.
It's just a thing. I cut back on my Diet Coke.
I had a regimen and like a calendar to where I could.
I'm easing off of it. So this this year I get let's

(02:18):
see, I was down to 10A week, which sounds like not by the end
of the year. So this year I'm doing 7 a week,
so one a day absolute Max, no exceptions.
Whereas I had some built in buffer there for 10 a week, you
know, So and then by by July 1, I'm going to go, I don't know
what I'm going to do, but I got to cut it back further than that

(02:38):
and that's what I'm scared. Are you trying to cut out all
together? Yeah.
Wow. I'm scared, I'm scared after 7 a
week I. Don't think I like that, Dan I.
I feel like I can get a. Little Diet Coke.
Yeah, but I I feel like I'm so I'm so close.
I just that last step's going tobe a hard one because that one
Diet Coke I'm drinking a day right now is 52 oz.
It is a 52 ounce fountain. It's not like no, no, no, no, I

(03:01):
don't do came diet. I just do fountain Diet Coke.
So it's like a go to QT, get a big boy like it's.
That and the fountain's so good. It's the best.
If you get it, it's the best. It's the best.
So down to seven a week. I don't know if I can go any
lower than that. There's only one way to find out
though. Everyone.
You're going to you're going to end up saving a lot of money.
I mean, you got to we got to like price this out like, OK, it

(03:23):
was, it was 10. And then once you see the money
associated with the the. I don't think that's going to
change it for me. It's, it's more incentive.
It's. More I like it it's it's
fountain can bottle right as faras.
Fountain can bottle, yes. Glass bottle maybe ahead, sure.
But I will say this. The good news is, is if I get
completely off it, I've told myself and I'll allow myself to

(03:46):
start cocaine and so that is a good that's.
Big. Yeah, yeah, we've been talking
about it for a long time. So if I can find a way to rid
myself of Diet Coke then I get cocaine.
So. You try one coke in for another.
That's right, that's right. Regular strength Coke 20.
Five could be the could be the year.
Could be the year. We're all, yeah, we're all,
we're all really excited about that.
I'm I'm excited about a new yearand I'm excited to hang out with

(04:07):
you more. Patrick.
I think we're gonna, we're gonnajust hang out all the time this
year. I think that's my goal.
You know, if we don't hang out more, I'm going to, I'm going to
be upset. So yeah.
I put it out there now I have tolive up to it, buddy.
Happy New Year's Eve everybody. I hope you have a wonderful New
Year's Eve and hopefully you allenjoy watching your countdowns

(04:28):
and going to your parties and dating and making your cheese
'cause I know I am excited about.
You still you still committed tostaying staying awake for the
whole like you stay up for. The I, I yes, I still do.
Great. To mid to midnight, you have to
stay up till midnight. Yeah, I stay up till midnight.
No, I go. I go to bed like 10:30.
What? Yeah.
I don't care. Oh, my God.
You're. You're so close.

(04:49):
You're so close. Yeah.
Who cares though? What do I get?
You get. You got to, you got to go out
and bang the pots and pans. You never know what's going to
happen because it's like if you if you don't stay up, you might
miss like Mariah Carey not singing on national TV, like.
Oh, that was such a good. Year but I I just catch the
video I've seen. It's not the same.

(05:10):
It is the exact same, Yeah, it'sthe same thing.
Like it's the same reason why I can't watch sports on DVR.
It's like I I have to watch it live or it doesn't feel right.
It doesn't feel the same. OK, Yeah, right.
The excitement. Of live TV I'll be I'm you know,
I got to work so. I mean, before I had kids, I
stayed up and then after my kidsare old and grown, maybe, maybe

(05:30):
I will go back to that. But right now it's.
Probably a few years from kill your kids staying up till
midnight. That's true.
Yeah. Yeah, you're.
Getting close, you're getting close.
It's it. I mean, they might want to try.
They currently stay up till 8:00PM.
So I don't, but probably like once they get double diggies,
it's like the what the fun thingto do, you know?
Yeah, they'll, they, I don't think they make it, but they'll

(05:50):
try. Yeah, you play, you play some
board games, you get like some take out.
Movies. And by that point you'll
definitely be on cocaine. And so, yeah.
The cocaine will be you'll. Be fine, you'll be fine.
That's right, I'll be fine. Let's get to our final Lifetime
Christmas movie of the year. I'm very excited about it.
Engaged by Christmas. How's the crop been overall from

(06:12):
the Lifetime this year? Overall, I'm so thankful it's
less, been less, let's just say that. 12 total, right?
Yeah, that's a Christmas miraclein and of itself.
And some of them were, you know, acquired from acquired, acquired
from acquired. So I got to like bang some out

(06:33):
early. You know, it was not difficult
to cover the Lifetime once this time.
But overall, not great. No, no POV.
Lifetime has no POV on their movies.
That's the problem that they're just kind of throwing whatever,
whatever they can get. They're putting as little effort
as possible in to get through the season to get back to the
RIP from the headline. It just feels so great, like for

(06:55):
a network that has such a strongPOV for 11 months.
Yeah. To just not.
Did you remember? Buried in Barstow.
I remember it. Was freaking great, yeah.
That was great. I remember watching that going
Lifetime's about to be better than Hallmark.
Like it was so good. And then?
Here we are. So there's that.
Yeah, we. Are all right, let's talk about

(07:15):
who's in it and what what what happens.
I watched it, but I'll let you go.
Yes, so this movie is called Engaged by Christmas.
The cast includes our personal friend Marcus Rosner, and I
don't know her personally yet, but but we do you guys do Britt
Bar Barstow. Bristow, Bristow, Barry and

(07:35):
Barstow, Brittany Bristow. That's right.
You guys are, you're confusing me, but you know me, me and
Britt, Britt, Britt, we're we'regoing to be fast friends, so
that's great. And yeah.
So that's all that I know about who's in the movie cuz.
That's all that really matters. Yeah, I'm like, I don't really
remember anybody else, so let's just jump into it.

(07:57):
So we have Brett playing Zoe. Zoe is a proposal planner slash
director, so she like makes the like if you need help, like kind
of like organizing your proposalfor your special loved one,
she's going to orchestrate it and film it and like save that
precious moment. It's like a full, full

(08:17):
production. Like they she's over there
behind a Bush with headphones. And.
Headset, I'm like, now get the lights and then cue the music.
So they're doing a whole yeah, you're good to go.
Yeah, there you go. So whenever whatever lifetime
cost me to be an assistant, I bring my own head.
I say lifetime I have. I know that that's what I'm

(08:40):
called for. I have my own headset.
No more questions, no right. You should walk around with a
headset at Rainbow Fest. I'm like, I like.
Once or twice a day just go up to Elizabeth and be like, where
are we with? Right.
Give me a clipboard. Give me a headset.
That's. Right, that wants.
To know what's happening at three Are we good?
To go for three where are we with the Rockettes?

(09:04):
Yes, yes, these are. This is perfect.
So yeah, she's. But she's not.
This is not her business that she's working.
She's working for the man, you know?
Yeah. Poppy or something like that.
Yeah, actual man. No, it's, I think it's like,
it's like it's, no, it's like her name.
I think it's a her. I think her name is Poppy.
Poppy. Like POPPY?
That's how I understood it. Yeah, they're not working.

(09:25):
For Poppy, they're not working for Big Poppy.
But Poppy smart. Poppy smart.
OK, so she does this year round, but she's like wanting to strike
out and do her own thing like plan other types of events, not
just proposals she wants to do like birthday parties.
Wow, big dreams. Right, She's saying.

(09:47):
She's saying it like it's very, you know, state-of-the-art or
what's that? State-of-the-art.
state-of-the-art. The arc.
The arc, I think. How's the arc doing?
Well, I've got some news. She's my state of the arc.
It's not as round as we'd like it.
And her, her, her best friend islike, Oh my God, you so should.
But I'm going to keep working here because you can't afford to

(10:09):
hire me as your assistant. But if when you do, I'm so on
board. So she has this idea, Dan, that
she's, so she, this is her last go at it for Big Papi.
And then she is going to launch her business by doing a thing
called the 12 Dates of Christmaswhere she writes A blog about
fun dates that you can do with your significant other.

(10:29):
And luckily she has a significant other.
So she's going to be able to do all these things with her
significant other and put it in the blog.
And then that'll help take off be like, hey, I'm good at
planning dates, good at planningwhatever you need.
Yeah, and I love that she's starting A blog in 2020.
Almost 20252025 start a blog. That is quite a mood.
That's the time where. Big day where?

(10:50):
Have you been strike while the iron is ice cold?
Right. It's so old.
Yes, so Tik. T.O.K getting banned so people
are. Back that's strike while the
iron has been replaced with steel.
That's. Right.
That's good for me. That's good for me.
And lifetime, of course, you know our numbers this year.

(11:10):
I'll show you the graph. I'll show you the graph.
I got the numbers. That's you listen, buy buy the
man a glass of wine. So at least you.
Can boys, if you don't know, I Ilove numbers and I love the
stats, so we could go through itoff.
Air, Yeah, yeah, yeah. OK, so she like, has his
boyfriend, his name's Carrie andshe like, wants him to pop the

(11:31):
question, but nobody's like, planning her proposal or
whatever. So cuz she's the planner of all
the proposals. So she writes to this columnist
kind of like a Dear Abby, but inthis movie, it's called Dear
Andora. Yeah, a sweet like a sweet older
lady. Andora.
Or maybe it's just Adora, but I like Andora better and the the

(11:56):
advice that Andora gives is as follows.
Want him to get the hint? Stop hinting and be upfront
about your wants and needs. Remember, not everyone's on the
same time clock. You can't decide if he is ready
to get married, only if you are. That's good advice.
It is good advice. Yeah, too bad it's written by

(12:16):
hot, sexy writer Marcus Rosner. That's.
Right. Oh, boy.
It's not an old woman named Andorra.
It's Marcus Rosner. Oh no, I know.
Sneaky. Marcus and you guys.
I was so surprised to find out that Marcus is literate.
I couldn't believe she was writing.
I was so proud of him. We were all show though, Marcus.

(12:38):
It was a big, big day for all ofus.
He's just so strong and so, you know, muscly, I couldn't believe
that he could write something. Patrick.
I spent too much time with Marcus in the green room.
That's all I can. Like that's what.
Happened, we did. It was like Marcus is in the
green room, I'm in the green. Room.
Oh my gosh. What do you know?
I'm in the green room. Oh, that's so weird.
I like what? Crazy.

(13:00):
Thing here you're. Crazy, I heard it on my headset
where he's where you're. Taking you're taking a break.
He's like, shouldn't you be on stage?
I'm like, oh, they don't need mefor.
This, this is literally your seductive lifetime of a court.
This is your time. Yeah, they can do without me.
Bring and watch that movie. I'll be in one of his movies
someday. We've, we've talked, we've
talked out there. He's great, great.

(13:20):
He's waiting for the the right gay assistant part to come up
for God. Got it.
Well, maybe if Marcus stops being such a bigot he can work
that into one of his movies. Come on, Marcus.
Yeah, let's go, Let's go. So.
But he's not just a fake old lady.
He also is a counselor. He's very, he's very busy.
He's got all of these things coming in, but he also has

(13:41):
actual clients that he has to see.
Yeah, but he's big and he's big into.
He does the advice on the on theside.
He gives advice for job and for job side job.
Job and for romance. That's right.
Oh, and, and actually you guys, he does have a a somewhat gay
assistant in this movie who likekind of pops in and it's like
you're too busy. I don't really know who that guy
is it because it's, I thought that he was Marcus's counselor,

(14:06):
but then they're also like just good friends.
But then also he tells him what to do.
I don't know what he is. Huh.
Interesting. Yeah, it was an ambiguous friend
slash Co worker character, but Iwas thinking like is this a gay
assistant? Because I'm offended we had a
deal. Market.
Yeah. I do think that this one was
filmed before your deal was struck though, so yeah, that's.

(14:28):
True, that's true. And you know, I didn't get
anything in writing. Yeah, you always get it in
writing. That's.
My I had no napkins. I had.
No Napkins is going to listen tothis though, and I think he'll
be he is he's we were top five in Spotify podcast.
That's true. Oh, he listens to these.
Wait, I take back everything I said.
Oh, wait. Oh, no.
Oh no. Marcus is very smart.

(14:51):
He wears glasses. OK, OK, so.
Marcus is going to love this. This his his assistant has also
been in like four other movies with Marcus so.
Yeah, they're probably like realfriends, I think.
You have to kill him, and they got to weasel your way into the

(15:11):
as a replacement. Right, right.
I can't encroach on that, on that bromance.
So I'll let them, I'll let them have.
It and the tenor has changed since he knows Marcus is going
to listen to this. Oh my.
Gosh, wow. Yeah, but what's?
That is that the sound of of Patrick Porgano.
Oh yeah. Is better right now.
It's gonna edit the website realquick.

(15:32):
Right, yeah, let me just change all my notes.
Okay, so Zoe goes to dinner withKerry, her boyfriend, and
they're on totally different pages.
He wants to break up, of course, because she's too smothering, is
what he says, which is so rude. He isn't even sure if he's into
the idea of marriage, which is something that you should
definitely know about your significant other 100%.

(15:52):
I'm like, whoa, that's quite a bomb to drop if she thought you
were going to engage. And you don't even know if
you're into the idea. You don't.
I don't like realistically, right?
Like, you don't get to the pointof being like, I think he's
getting close to popping the question without having some
sort of conversation about your thoughts on marriage, right?
Absolutely. Absolutely.

(16:13):
I've been proposed to many times.
How many times? How many times?
But if you count Marcus 7. OK, what if we don't count
Marcus? Yeah, we all know you wouldn't
mean that one. Oh, right, right.
That was just a a bit so so 6. 6Any of them were you close to
saying yes to? No.

(16:33):
Wow. Was it a very quick, fast
Takato? No, like did you cut them off or
do you let them finish and thinkabout it like you're actually
thinking, what do you do? Do you do full of?
Performance. I do the beard, the beard with
like a thingy thing, a thinking,thinking man.
I do the thinking man, and then I say, you know, I don't even
know if I'm into the idea of marriage.

(16:55):
Wow. So you do this.
You do this move. Yeah, I like they they stole it
from me. Wow.
But we know you are because you, your aunt, has a place where you
want to get married. That's true, I do want to get
married. Yeah, just not to the person.
That asked. That's right.
What what Patrick says is I'm just not sure if I'm into the
idea of marriage. I I don't know, I know we're up

(17:17):
against it, but you've been proposed to six times and how
many times did you see this? Like if you don't want to marry
this person and you see it coming, did you take any effort
to just be like, hey, just so you know, I don't want to get
married? Or did you not see it coming?
This kind of took you by surprise.
Well, usually, you know, I wait.I wait to break up till after
the holidays. I know that's right.

(17:37):
Classic. We talked about that.
So it, it, it usually does. The proposals do happen in
between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
So what can you do? It's in my, it's in my no
breakup zone. But are you?
But So what do you do if they ask you to get married on
December 20th? You you're like, I don't want to
get married, but I do want to stay together at least for the
next week and 1/2. Right, I'm like, I got to get my

(17:58):
Christmas present. Right.
I got to get my cell. He's got to get dude.
You're getting a cell man call back to a week and a half get
you that was a long. That was a long time ago.
It's almost two weeks we did that job.
Right. Top of the Dome, Patrick, I've.
Always heard Yeah, Sharp, sharp.Oh, we're.
Taking a break? Oh my God, let's see, right

(18:18):
after this come. Right back here and take dollar.
All right welcome back everybodyto catch you up to speeds Britt
Bristow doesn't proposals MarcusRoss dumb and I think that's

(18:38):
where where you've gotten playing an old woman so far
That's right Pandora Adora when.Akamor doesn't.
Ryan Lewis doesn't do macros great.
Alright, let's go. OK so the breakup happened.
Zoe is upset because she had thewhole dates thing happening and
now it's ruined. Her blog is ruined.
What is she going to do? And I will say I found this

(19:01):
scene to be very funny. She has 22 best friends
throughout this movie. They're really fun together.
And she has this great scene where she's like, I'm fine, this
is fine, I can do this. I can launch this blog without
him. I don't need anybody.
I'm totally fine. And then there's like a quick a
short break and then she goes, I'm not fine.
And it was great, very funny. Brit is great at that, yeah.

(19:21):
I was gonna say like, she's so good at playing like that type
of like type a personality wherenormally in like a in in like a
movie or like in a less capable actor's hands, it would be
annoying. But she is somehow like, I get
her and I'm like, yes, I have a friend like that.
And yeah, I'm the one that like brings over the wine and ice
cream and it's like, let's chill.

(19:43):
Like, let's just chill a minute.Let's chill.
You gotta have all the alphabet, right?
You gotta have the type A, You gotta have the type B, You gotta
have the type C, you know? What are you?
Type C. So my I took a psychology class
in college and the teacher went around and told everybody what
they were. She told me I'm type A, but I
pretend like I'm type B. Yeah, I well, like, it's weird

(20:04):
because you come to Bramble Festand I think you have this
ability to shift gears from I'm planning this event and I'm
organizing it too. I'm just a participant.
And I think you do that so well.Like you could easily come down
and ask 1000 questions, be like, when are we doing this?
But you're just here for the ride.
When you come down, it's it's it's Oh yeah, organized by
something else. And so you are like hands off.

(20:24):
But I get the feeling if we're like, hey, Patrick, we want you
to organize Bramble Fest, you would be very a very different
personality down there. Sure.
Yeah. I mean, you saw my lifetime quiz
I had. I made a whole deck.
That's such right out done and done.
All right, so the friends, yeah, the friends in this one are
actually pretty, pretty realistic and cool.
Their names are Lauren and Emma.I wrote that down.

(20:46):
And they bring her wine and hugsand that's so sweet.
So yeah, she decides to, you know, get more advice from her
dear Andora or Adora and go to in person.
And like, though she finds the address of the the newspaper,

(21:06):
newspaper still exists in this movie.
And she rushed down to the newspaper station or whatever we
call it. And Marcus Rogers there, he's
like, whoa, who are you? And she's like, oh, I'm here.
I just want to talk to Diora Dora.
And, you know, if you could let me know where she is.
And he's like, oh, I don't know where she is.
And then there's a picture on the wall of a A a Dora.

(21:30):
Thank you, Dora. You see Britt Barstow, like,
putting it together. Yeah, Bristow, Bristow.
And I'm just gonna say Britt, Britt, Britt, Britt.
And she sees the the poster and she's like, wait a minute, wait
a minute. You're Adora.
How did she put it together fromthe poster?

(21:50):
She saw the poster. She saw all the open.
The posters of an old woman though, right?
Yeah. Yeah, like with a hat.
Like a like a glass. And then you see and then you
see all of the letters on the thing and he's sitting at the
desk and her name is nowhere to be found, only his name.
So she does all these quick little.

(22:11):
Yeah, and what's? And He's being very weird.
About yeah, got it, got it. Very weird.
And what's great is she's not like, you know, upset and like
my dreams are crushed. She's like, you know what,
you're a fraud. I'm going to tell everybody if
you don't help me this Christmaswith my problems, you're, I'm
blackmailing you into helping meget this blog off the ground and

(22:34):
figure out what to do with thesedates since I got broken up with
and you know, you give advice. So you're you're my advice giver
for the holiday season. What a what a great sentence to
say. She blackmails him to help her
get this blog up and running. It's just off the ground.
It's the best. It's the best.
Like we've reached the top. We've reached the peak of what

(22:55):
TV movies should be right here. Right.
It's like, OK, the stakes couldn't be higher, you guys.
It's getting real. Are there any dead parents in
this movie? I don't think so.
Wow man, dodging dodging bulletsleft and right over here.
Right, so Zoe shows her shows Marcus Rosner the the planner

(23:16):
and the kind of her binder she has like everything like, you
know, very type a organized and the date she wants to try out.
And he's like, you know what, like this is a very romantic.
And then I fainted. I I didn't watch the rest of the
movie. I just fainted because Marcus
Rosner was talking about romance.
So I was like romance. Oh yeah, just like on my day

(23:37):
bed. They thought it was there.
Followed on TV slash DTH to see all of Patrick Serrano's
reactions. Yes, yes.
So he's like, let's just do let's just go with the flow,
like let's just like go on datesand like not really worry about
it. And she's like, well, we can't
do that. I I want to get my boyfriend
back and I have to do all these things and he's like, whoa,

(23:58):
whoa, whoa, you don't need to have your boyfriend back.
That guy sounds like a. Jerk.
Forget. That you're a loser.
Yeah, I'm like, thank you, Marcus, for spelling it out.
You know, I was also like very like laying down like on my day
bed and like fanning myself but.Yeah.
Yeah, he can't. He can't help but like let the
advice flow, you know, He's likedoing the like they go take

(24:22):
Christmas photos and he's like telling her all these things
that they're doing all like the Christmasy things that are like
fun and like he's like, let it go just like for that.
Just let it go. Let it go.
So the blog launches. It doesn't take off initially,
surprisingly and. Launch A blog.

(24:43):
It's hard to launch A blog, you know.
Yes, it's hard to launch A blog. Some of us are successful
bloggers, and even then, what does success mean, right?
Yeah, yeah, you got all the charts like you could get, you
could dive into what it what success.
Look, I've got the charts, I've got million millions of views
and does that matter? Does it?

(25:06):
No, it's a it's a blog at the end of the day.
Yeah. Can you imagine if there was a
standardized rate you got paid for views or clicks or like any
of that stuff? It would be crazy if they
standardize that across all platforms.
Insane, just differently. Yeah, so oh, what?

(25:26):
What am I saying about this movie?
So. What is there to say?
What is there to say about a perfect movie?
You know, I'm, I'm a little, I'ma little lost in my notes on the
plot exactly, but it's more of avery right.
They're getting together over the course of him helping her
launch this blog. Even though it's unsuccessful,
they find themselves in a relationship that is successful.

(25:48):
Oh, wow, really good, really good log line there.
Yes, they do start hanging out and all that good stuff.
And he begins to be like, hey, actually, I think that somebody
wrote in to Adora asking about how to, you know, keep the
romance alive during the holidayseason.
I think I could link to your blog and kind of make it into

(26:13):
it. Foot traffic and.
By foot traffic I mean web traffic.
That's right. So he does do that and the
website begins to pop pop. Yes, well, and also she's
documenting kind of like being well during the holidays.
Like he's like, you should just like stop pretending to be
dating somebody and like just do, just write what you're
experiencing. Is this 2013?

(26:34):
Like is this like this is a great like what?
What are we like? Oh a single during the holidays
blog. This is just new like wow what a
cool idea. Yeah, but he still hangs out,
don't worry. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He doesn't give her the space toactually single date.
Right, well, and she's blackmailing him to be with her
all Christmas. So the log.

(26:55):
Off the ground, yes. He has to.
He has. To now we do as this at the
point where we find out who Adora really is.
Yes, yes. It is to his.
Grandma. Yeah, his aunt.
Aunt got it. His aunt?
Yeah. Yeah, dead auntie.
So he used to help her with it. She passed away and he kind of

(27:15):
wanted to keep her legacy alive,so he kind of took it on
himself. She would dictate from a day bed
because she was with Marcus Rosner.
Of course you can't be standing. You can't be standing upright
when you're. Talking I'll she's not I'll
she's just overcome with emotion.
That's right. And love.
A feeling of love and warmth. Something like that.

(27:37):
Yes, absolutely. So no one knows dear Auntie's
tone and advice better than Marcus Rosner.
That's of. Course.
Years of practice. And he doesn't want to upset the
readers because he doesn't want them to be like, Oh no, she
died. Imagine if Dear Abby died, you
know? I know so you just get like Abby

(27:57):
could be dead. Abby lives forever.
That's the point. Abby could be dead, but and we
would have no way to know new Abby.
That's right. Carolyn's not a person.
Abby is a thing. A thing, right you?
Know Carol? Caroling happens.
It's live caroling. No lip.
Syncing. They do really sing here.
Yeah, you're right. I would say Brit is a singer,

(28:19):
Marcus is not. Well, Rob, we saw him at
karaoke. We've established what he is.
Marcus talents lie Marcus. Marcus has a voice for certain
genres. Christmas caroling is maybe not
one. Of them, maybe not one of them.
That's right. He can sing, he can sing
Christmas Carol. Everybody can sing Christmas
carols, OK, but you know. That was a real well.

(28:39):
You just said you you just said he doesn't he he's not a he's
not a singer. We joined in on the fun and then
you were like, wow, he's pretty.Good.
He's pretty good. He can sing those.
Everybody good for that assistant job.
We know what you're doing. Everybody can do.
That all right? Yeah.
Marcus is great singer. Great singer, he should have an
album. And if you're his assistant,

(29:01):
you'll make that happen. That's right.
Absolutely. And I would, I would.
I would loan my voice to him. I would merely vanilli it.
Wow. You know, no one would be able
to tell. It would be just like when I.
Know it's true. Yeah.
When I hear you 2, I'm like, am I talking to the same person?
This is crazy. You can sing at a different
voice than you talk. Or how would you how would you

(29:21):
sing for Marcus Rosner Jingle Bells?
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way.
We got to New Year's Eve to get the highlight of the year, but
we made it. That's great.
That's nice. Jingle Bells.
Jingle Bells. Yep, there you go.
So we knock out some more Christmassy things that go ice

(29:45):
skating. Marcus Rosner's really bad at
ice skating, which is the fun kind of play on that trope.
I. Mean it's from Canada, he loves
hockey, I don't think he's bad at ice skating.
No, he's definitely acting here.Yeah, he's Capital A, acting bad
at ice skating. He's acting bad.
He's acting bad. Straight from Patrick Serrano,
Marcus Rosner acting bad. I've been misconstrued.

(30:08):
I got that clip. Yeah yeah, out of contact but
the things are working out for the best.
The blog is a hit. The readers love the tone and
the the assistant or the the friend.
The Co worker is going to quit her job and work for Zoe's
company now. So this is great, like all the
things are happening. There's a proposal thrown in

(30:31):
there with it's A, It's a very Bpot, but there's a proposal that
happens. Cool.
Zoe and Adam go to see It's a Wonderful Life spontaneously.
Spontaneously. She doesn't.
Not everything has to be plannedout with her.
Sometimes she can see something,be like, you know what?
I want to do that and that's fine.
Wow. They do and and you know,

(30:52):
nothing like going to see a three and a half hour movie
spontaneously. Spontaneous Wonderful Life is 3
1/2 hours long. There's just one.
Well, with commercials, I'm thinking.
Probably, yeah. I'm a long movie we're looking
for. Two hours and 10 minutes.
Yeah, it's about. Ad commercials.
Everyone knows for every hour ofmovie there's hour of

(31:15):
commercials, right? Everyone knows that.
That's crazy. 3 1/2 hours, yeah.I I think CBS got the right.
And I think that's why it's important for everybody to get
Philo. You get Philo and then you can
save it and then add one button apps.
Without the credits, probably 2/5.
Oh hey guys. Speaking of blogs, on my blog,
I've been linking to your Philo.I see that.
Thanks for doing that. Are you are you gonna get any

(31:36):
hits I. Don't get those numbers.
I don't. Get those numbers.
But I have to imagine that we'regetting those hits, yeah.
All right, well, if you need someone to check the numbers out
and see, check the source like Heaven Court is feeding to you
guys anyways. Yeah, so they, he Marcus Rosner
does not know about the Angel. And and every time a bell rings,

(31:57):
the Angel gets his way. He's never seen the movie and
never heard that line before. You've never seen.
It's a wonderful. Line and I listen.
I didn't see it until I was fiveyears until 5:00.
Well, seven years ago now. You watched.
I watched it that that first. 2018, yeah. 2017 that holiday
season, the first holiday season.
That we did deck the home. That we did deck the home, 2018.
Yeah, it's seven years, actuallyseven seasons, actually six

(32:21):
years we've been doing. This I thought we started in
2017. We sure.
We sure did. Oh, my son was born in 20. 17
There it is. Yeah, anyway, yeah, so.
I had. Heard the but I had heard the
like the the classic line, everytime a bell rings, an Angel gets
his wings. Come on.
Absolutely. I mean, I'm over here ringing
bells. I got Ding dongs all over the

(32:41):
place. That's exactly right, Patrick
from. Your lips to God's ears.
He nailed it. OK, OK, OK, let's move on.
He's doing his day bed Ding dongs all over the place.
I blame Marcus. I blame Marcus for that.
You're not recover big Dong on the brain there's.
No, there's no no. You even you even did a little

(33:03):
shake thing. If we could get the video Lee
Hoda, if we get the video and audio, it would be.
Don't play that back. Don't play that.
Definitely. Warm hands are tied.
That's right. All right, Zoe and Adam have
feelings for each other, they just don't know how to express
them. So she invites Marcus Rosser
over for wine and charcuterie, and they lose track of time

(33:24):
working on letters together. So they're like writing the
little she's. Helping with the letters.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is really nice.
And then he leaves. There's no hanky panky.
Unfortunately for us, this is like the the most the part of
the movie where I was like, they're going to hook up, but
they didn't. She spends the night alone

(33:45):
decorating the tree and you know, she's like, OK with being
by herself, which is like, so nice.
Yes, but then this whole thing happens where he was supposed to
come over later and he doesn't. He just doesn't even call.
And so she just kind of falls asleep on the couch, sad.
Oh womp womp. Oh, right, yeah, these are the.
Details we're getting here tellsme not a lot's going on in this

(34:07):
movie. This is just a love story.
OK, maybe just they. Would just say yes.
Yeah, it's just a love story. Just go with it.
Just wrote Go with the flow, as Marcus would say.
And yeah, so there's AI. Don't know something happens
where they get into an argument,but I don't know why I didn't

(34:28):
write why they. Get an argument because he
didn't show up and didn't and she's like mad about that.
And so then he shows up to apologize.
And instead of apologizing, he tells her that she's unable to
do anything herself. She's really mean to her for no

(34:49):
reason. And then she's like, oh, my
gosh, what the heck? And so he's like, oh, man, I
came over here to say I love youand ended up saying that you
suck. And that's tough.
Tough. That's a tough day.
Yeah. I hate it when that happens.
Yeah. But yeah.
So we we see the proposal, the one that I said that didn't

(35:10):
really matter, but it brings them back together because Zoe
is planning the proposal and Marcus Rosser Kaiser comes in
and interrupts the proposal. Well, he doesn't have the best
timing, but it's cute because, you know, he's like, oh, like,
you know, well, why is it cute? I think this is Marcus is doing.

(35:31):
It yeah, I think it's mainly because Marcus is doing, but
yeah, so they, they kind of telleach other how they feel and
whatnot and they're going to spend Christmas together.
Wow, yes, and they they write one last column.
Oh yes, he's going to. Retire Dora.
Yeah, dear, dear Dora Is, is retiring.
She's not dead, but she is dead.And.

(35:53):
We know that. We know.
We're Privy to that. And he asked her to be her last,
his Christmas date. And they won't plan it.
They'll just play it by ear. And then they kiss.
And then Merry Christmas. Wow, there you have it.
We did it. We did it, we did it, we did it.
What are we doing next time? Well, on the show we put up, put

(36:13):
a cork in it. That's.
Right, I love that for us. I I'm having a hard time here
and not I'm I'm not It's a definite put a cork in it.
I I'm having a hard time becauseI love these two human beings
and they're wonderful people andI was default mode pour it up
because I think these two would be great together.
This movie is like a snoozefest and I'm glad I didn't watch it.

(36:37):
Sorry Marcus. Sorry Brittany.
It's a big put a cork in it for me.
What do you think? It's big poured up for me.
I freaking loved it. This is a tough movie to explain
because so hard to Explain is soreliant on seeing these two fall
in love. They they have such great
chemistry, and I'm just having so much fun watching them go on

(37:00):
these dates. So is this movie groundbreaking?
No. Is this movie a really good
Hallmark Christmas movie? Yeah, it is.
I don't know what Lifetime. I don't know what Lifetime's
doing with this movie. Just stay in your lane, man.
This is a Hallmark Christmas movie.
It is charming. And it as far as far as like

(37:22):
your standard Hallmark Christmasmovie.
It's one of my favorites of the year.
I love this movie. I thought it was an absolute
blast and I really liked the fake advice column angle.
I thought that was really great. So fun, so fun.
I agree. Like so yeah, Dan, the thing
that you're not getting it, the plot is very simple and and very

(37:45):
basic and also kind of like dated.
Like it is like a 2013 like Hallmark, Hallmark plot like a
throwback. But the chemistry is so great.
And it's the movie like itself is like well done.
Like it looks good. Like there's no like ward
wardrobe or like makeup stuff. Like it, It's like well done.

(38:07):
It's a well done Christmas movie.
I agree with Brant. It should have been on Hallmark.
It had a Hallmark feel to it andit looked like a Hallmark movie
like of of the the current iteration.
You know, the more expensive movie look and the stars are
Hallmark people. So, you know, I know Marcus does
Lifetime, Lifetime killer ones. But you know, Britprit is on

(38:31):
Hallmark all the time, right? Yeah.
So I was surprised that this wason Lifetime.
I think it was just Hallmark passed and then Lifetime said
we'll take it. But I think Hallmark made a
mistake. Hallmark.
Missed out? It would have been one of the
top of the year. They could have gotten some of
their top. Of the year are we being really?

(38:52):
Yeah. Yeah, I like this better than
Holiday Junkie. I mean, this was probably like
my favorite life lifetime. Definitely my favorite Lifetime
Christmas movie of the year. Yeah, absolutely.
Yeah, and I would put it in my top ten overall.
I just thought it was an absolute top.
Ten overall, including Netflix. It was a charm bomb.
A charm bomb. Yeah.

(39:12):
I just feel like I need to have an opinion on this movie now.
Guess I need. To watch, I mean.
You should check it out. I would check it out if if you
have you know some downtime, youknow me during during the
holidays. It's it's a good one to put on
just. Something I do on my 10 day
break Patrick is fire up the TV Christmas movies.
I know I. Think you should know that by
now. I just man, can't get enough.

(39:32):
And I'm outside the window. Oh yeah.
Banging on pots and pans. It is New Year's Eve.
I'm allowed to do that. I I found out apparently.
Only after midnight, though. Only after midnight you.
Guys, that's the tradition in myin my family.
I think it's a Latino thing. Sure you say so.
I've never heard. Of it.
Oh, then I won't take it. No, I've been told I'm not
allowed to take. No, you're you're good.
I'm. OK, I'm taking.

(39:53):
Anyway, you got permission, lookat that.
Yeah, and let me tell you, the kids love banging pots.
You say we're going to go outside and bang pots and pans
and they're like, for what you're like, cuz it's New
Year's, We're welcoming the new year and.
They're like, yeah, let's do it.What if something?
To do What if he scared the new year though and went back in
that show? Right, that's where we.
Winner. And you're like, what about the

(40:14):
neighbors? Like the neighbors should be out
here banging pots and. Pans, don't worry, I'm the
neighbour. Oh no, you're the neighbour.
Yeah, I don't. I don't get mad at him.
He's a tough man. I just go to.
Bed. He's a tough man.
Lots of opinions. Yeah.
Yeah, we did. Everybody, congratulations to
us. 2024 is officially in the books.
We're done with them. We're washing our hands of it.

(40:36):
One last Merry Christmas and thecountdown from from 10/1 last
Merry Christmas to ring out the new year.
Sure to countdown from a countdown of 10.
Okay, okay, See what I did Yeah sure 10987654321 Merry Christmas
