On this episode, Scott connects with indie artist K.Flay and dives deep into all things music and her career.

They cover everything from her love of podcasts to her musical journey. She discussed how she started rapping early on with parody / social conscious rap and about some of her role models like Santigold, Missy Elliot and MIA. They talk about her beginnings in the Bay area to her record deal with RCA and her first traction on Hype Machine.

The two then get into her first session working w Pharrell and her conscious decision not to use a band at first and only a drummer.

Scott asks about her transition from rapping to singing and her path including the warped tour and surviving a pandemic as a newer artist. They talk about her new EP and she performs a few songs for the show!
