Revelation 3:7-13 | God is Opening Doors for You | Tim Lucas

Have you ever had a door slammed in your face? The church in Philadelphia knew that feeling all too well. They were small in number, persecuted, and rejected—kicked out of synagogues for their faith in Jesus. But in Revelation 3:7-13, Jesus gives them incredible encouragement: “I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut.”

Philadelphia was a faithful church. Even though they had little strength, they refused to deny Jesus’ name. They didn’t compromise with culture or waver in their faith. Jesus had no rebuke for them—only praise! And because of their faithfulness, He opened two powerful doors:

1️⃣ The Door of Salvation: The invitation for all people—Jews, Gentiles, sinners, and outcasts—to enter into God’s kingdom through faith in Christ. No one can shut this door!

2️⃣ The Door of Service: An opportunity to share the Gospel and serve others in Jesus’ name.

Sometimes, God shuts doors in our lives—relationships, jobs, or opportunities—but it’s always for our good. When one door closes, He opens another for His greater purpose! As Christians, we must trust God’s timing, stay faithful in trials, and walk boldly through the doors God opens!
