This interview, in english, with writer and journalist Ahmet Altan was recorded in his home autumn 2022. We talked about his novel I will never see the world again, his father Çetin Altan, how to survive prison and of writing and reading.
Ahmet Altan är inflytelserik och bästsäljande författare i Turkiet med ett förflutet som journalist. "Jag kommer aldrig mer se världen, en fängslad författares memoarer" sändes som Radioföljetong våren 2023 och är den första av de tre böckerna han skrev i fängelse. Texten smugglades ut av Altans advokater och är publicerad i många länder men ännu inte utgiven i Turkiet (2023). Våren 2021 släpptes han, han vet ännu inte riktigt varför, och lever idag i Istanbul.
