The Lakers Know Game 5 Vs. Minnesota Is Like Game 7, With No Room for Error

Wednesday is technically Game 5, but for the Lakers, it's Game 7, 1.0. 

Win, and they get another chance at another Game 7 on Friday, in Minnesota. 

Tuesday in El Segundo, from JJ Redick to Luka Dončić on down, the team expressed confidence it could still win the series. The belief in themselves, the talent, their stars and anything else athletes use to forge that belief is genuine. Tonight, it's win a game on their home floor, where they've dominated all year. It's clean up sequences at the end of quarters, and especially the fourth. But the idea they've been thoroughly outplayed by Minnesota isn't accurate. The Wolves have been better when it matters most, but not in a way the Lakers can't counter.
