LSU head football coach Brian Kelly was the architect of what was shaping up to be the number one recruiting class in the country for the 2025 class. Kelly had secured commitments from the number one player in the country in QB Bryce Underwood, the number three player in the country in WR Dakorien Moore, and one of the top players in the state and at his position in RB Harlem Berry. Tigers fans have grown accustomed to high-scoring offenses after the Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, Justin Jefferson trio in the 2019 national championship run and most recently the Heisman Trophy year for Jayden Daniels and the WR tandem of Brian Thomas Jr. and Malik Nabers. Tigers fans envisioned that 2025 trio to be the next great one in the LSU history books. While it still can, things got a lot more interesting when Dakorien Moore, the number one WR in the 2025 class and the top player out of the state of Texas, decommitted from LSU.
So where does Moore go from here and how do the Tigers try to replace him? What is the concern level LSU fans should feel about losing a recruit, at least for now, of this magnitude?
