The two discuss the latest report from Christ Johnston of The Athletic Sam Bennett and the Panthers getting one step close to agreeing on a deal, the AAV and the term is just not made public as of yet. What does that mean for the other moves that they're trying to make in attempt to keep Brad Marchand and Aaron Ekblad? Another report says it's heading toward Marchand staying, but nothing set in stone. If the Panthers sign two of the three, a cap clearing trade is likely necessary, the two discuss the names that could be on the move. Former Panther Joe Thornton was elected into the Hockey Hall of Fame, now he's the eighth former Panthers to make it into the hall, as this era of Panthers hockey will see at least three. Aaron Ekblad is set to hit the open market when free agency hits on July 1st, if in the case that Ekblad leaves, the more likely route would be to go the trade route, what are the names of right-handed defenseman that could be a replacement for him?
