Aaron Feigelman is a former UCLA student and Tesla employee who recently founded his own materials science company developing functional materials from food waste - starting with coffee waste. His company is called The Kawa Project. Listen to the interview and learn more about “Innovating new coffee materials”: the average American contributes to 35 pounds (16 kg) of coffee waste per year, big corporations are looking to play a role in fixing the waste issue and the hardest parts about figuring out new uses for food waste - economics and branding. This recorded Instagram live is part of a series of interviews we're doing, called: "Three things I've learned", where we talk to experts in the zero waste space about their most important learnings.
