Kerstin Thorvall gick från älskad ungdomsboksförfattare till att förorsaka moralpanik med Det mest förbjudna på sjuttiotalet. Strax före 70 blev hon hyllad för trilogin som börjar med När man skjuter arbetare.
Kanske var det alltid samma historia som hon berättade, om mamman som förbjöd glädjen, om den sinnessjuka pappan, om flickan som inte fick en hundvalp, om Arvet. Som gammal skrev hon debattartiklar och böcker om svensk åldringsvård, om att inte stå ut och ringa psykjouren varje eftermiddag.
Tillsammans med författarna Isabelle Ståhl, Göran Greider och Anneli Jordahl läser Katarina Wikars Kerstin Thorvalls romaner Det mest förbjudna från 1976, När man skjuter arbetare från 1993 och Upptäckten från 2003.
