Sara Stridsberg debuterade 2004 med romanen Happy Sally. Hon har sedan dess skrivit en rad prisade böcker och pjäser som är spridda över världen. Hon ligger bakom romaner som Drömfakulteten, Darling River, Kärlekens Antarktis och Hunter i Huskvarna.
Hennes senaste bok heter Farväl till Panic Beach och är en släktkrönika som sträcker sig över flera generationer. Berättaren Nina försöker förstå sin pappa Matti och synar hans liv genom att söka svar i hans och familjens såriga historia.
